Reviews of wagamama stratford westfield
L. S.
Unless you're particularly unlucky, you generally know with wagamama that you will get decent quality food that tastes good. This was no exception on our recent visit, however I wanted to point out just how good they are with allergies. Upon informing Alice, our wonderful waitress, we were given a specific menu with items that were 'safe'. We were also told to only accept our food from her so that there could be no mix up in a dish being served from the regular menu. This is the most seriously I've seen a chain restaurant take allergens in their stride and I commend them for the process they have in place. While there's always a chance of cross contamination in the kitchen, for those that have severe allergies or dietary restrictions, wagamama go above and beyond to be inclusive and offer you the same enjoyment of your meal out as any 'regular menu' guest.

Visited for birthday lunch, was very busy and they were short staffed, but still managed to serve us quickly. I love their food because its very tasty, light and healthy. Will keep coming back and back.
S. W.
Decent service with great portions. Katsu curry is never a fail and the vegan chilli squid tasted quite nice.
M.
Went with friends who have never experienced the taste of wagamama. Service was great as always.staff were helpful service was on point.
J. R.
As always, food was excellent and very reasonably priced, staff friendly, polite and accommodating, great atmosphere and quick service without being rushed. It's the first time my partner has been here, he's not stopped raving about it and wants to know when we're going again! Thanks for a brilliant experience again guys.
A. V.
Great service, the food was fresh and tasty. We ordered the Korean buns and the chicken katsu curry, it was delicious!!
S. L.
The staff are all very friendly and accommodating, especially the manager since I told them about my seafood allergy. My partner enjoyed his meal however I didn’t but I think it’s just what I ordered nevertheless I’d recommend this restaurant
P. O.
The service here was amazing. The staff were really friendly and smiley but most especially Ahmed. They wore protection such as visors and facemarks to keep the customers safe. It didn't take very long for our order and the food was amazing. Wagamama never seems to disappoint.
P. R.
Always enjoyed their food (and still do). Lately, however, I’ve frequently experienced ‘artificial’ queues outside their restaurants. Half the place is empty and yet, people are being made to queue outside for no apparent reason. Today, I counted 30+ seats empty seats and a queue of 15-20 people outside. Staff chatting away happily, not bothered to seat anyone. Maybe they want to give the impression they’re busier than they are?! Didn’t just notice this at this particular location either. Very disappointing.

Wagamama is my favourite restaurant in the uk, they serve a variety of Japanese food, the must one to try is the Chicken Katsu Curry (Spicy)
T. T.
My experience was amazing, could not fault it.
I have a dairy allergy and they was amazing, was served by two managers throughout my meal and they both were so nice and kind.
Just over £26 each for a 3 course meal.
I got the chicken katsu, it tasted like a chicken korma, not katsu, but it was nice.
E. S. P.
I personally never visited Wagamama before, so this was my very first experience. We stopped for a lovely lunch on a Thursday and the place was not too busy. We were quickly accommodated and service was prompt since the beginning.
We had a few beers, a nice spritz with rose wine and a few starters to prepare our stomachs! The mushroom buns were exceptional - the addition of a pinch of spicy salt is going to elevate them to perfection 😏. We then ordered the duck pancakes which were so tasty! A must have!!
As for mains, we ordered the udon with chicken & prawns as well as the firecracker (very spicy but worth it!).
Great experience! I'd totally recommend.
E. D.
Very pleasant staff and really good food. Only downsides were the juices not quite as good as the were in the past (seemed a bit watery) and the wait to be seated, However i don't think they can help that.
U. M.
The chicken katsu is immaculate. Soooo delicious. I love it how you can get extra free katsu sauce. The place looks so pretty. Due to covid 19 / coronavirus, the staff is doing very well at maintaining social distance by having a barrier between customers and seating them in different places. Although. I wish they did have deals, not for this wagamama but in general. Otherwise it gets too expensive in a way. The prawn lollipops are really good too!! Presentation is amazing!

Customer service was excellent, food was on point. Was told it was a 15min wait to get, got in within 7mins. Staff are attentive your needs. Loving the new pay your bill option.
J. C.
Food was amazing, friendly staff and great service. It was my first time here but definitely plan to go again
B. V.
Crowded. Good Service and assertive staff. Don’t like the spicy cauliflower… too much pepper. Fried duck and chicken Gyoza are good. Chicken kebabs (light bite) are well flavored and the blended fruit juices with spices are refreshing and healthy. Reasonable Vegan options available too
m. c.
Was served by a lovely woman called Alina. She was very friendly & helpful. She always made sure I was satisfied & had a great experience!!
Y. A.
Amazing experience. Special thanks to Greg for the fab service!
M.
Quick and friendly service, lovely atmosphere and delicious food.
G. W.
This place is amazing. You cant go wrong with a Great Wagas. The new refurb looks amazing and the entire time are outstanding especially Josh, who always goes above and beyond to make our visit welcome, also the lovely Nerea. Thanks guys!
M. W. (.
Those planning to have a quick eat here need to be aware that wait time can be extremely long when it's busy. Not just the time it takes to have the the food, but also to wait for someone to take your order / checkout. Food is good though.
L. A.
I ordered the Itame and my counterpart ordered the Samla for our main courses and we ordered edamame with chilli salt to start. Drinks I tried the repair, I did ask for green tea but sadly it never came.
The staff where helpful when I asked for the allergens information they gave me the folder with all the information and when it was time to order they said that I had to order with the management who explained that my order though dairy free was cooked in an environment with dairy products. Ordering with the management did get a bit annoying because when dessert time came I had to wait for a manager to become available to take my order despite the fact that I had looked at the menu and chosen the suitable option and already previously been informed about the environment.
The atmosphere was nice, nice lighting and the seating was casual. We didn't rushed to leave aside from when the waitress said to me "are you still here?".
Definitely a return place.

Came in the other day and had a wonderful time! Lovely meal. Isaac was very helpful!
W. S.
It was my first time to Wagamama. Their ramen was not that special and the broth was very salty. The rice was quite ok, a little bit spicy. However, the staff was friendly and helped us to choose our meals.
R. U.
Had the Vege Gyoza as starters, which was not nice unfortunately, usually in other restaurants it's very nice and soft, in here it was a bit hard
Main was Tofu Ramen, and that was not nice at all, was very bland. Wouldn't recommend
Bang bang cauliflower as a side was actually banging. Surprisingly tasted amazing, definitely surprised me.
So overall wasn't great, but friends Firecracker meal was supposedly very nice.
Lastly the spring water was very watery. Would recommend
H.
me and my sister went to wagamamas resturant no que the service was good including the staff food i had chicken prawn egg noodles i was suprized how massive it was crunchy tastey we both enjoyed our experience
R. D.
Good service and food was on time, they need to manage the queuing system as the queue that forms outside is overwhelmed and puts people off going when there is competition surrounding it.
M. A.
As this was during COVID-19 in October. The staff were very nice, there is very good social distancing and everyone is separated. The food was delicious and very hot. Portion is a good amount, enough for having desert after. Everything is contactless and easy.
J.
Wagamama has had a facelift at this store, it's far more open and certainly looks the part. Food is fantastic, service is great and efficient. Although we did receive the table next to ours food, it was sorted out quickly and we generally all got our food at the same time. The chicken Katsu curry is very nice as were all the starters and mains we had chosen. Go early as the ques were getting longer by the minute.
A. T. (.
Friendly waiter. Loved all the sides we ordered especially the tama squid. Had the wagamama ramen and blueberry juice. Super fun time with family. Im filled to the brim mahn! ❤️❤️
L. M.
Nice and tasty food. It could be 5 star but because the service of the food to me and my wife was 10 minutes gap. Should be served same time on the same table.
H. S. L.
Hands down the best dish at Wagamama! Although the service in this branch is very slow. For example you might be finished with your main then having to wait another 10mins for the starter. Or ordering the same thing as the table next to you first and them getting it first. There should be a better system for bringing out the foods.
N. M.
Staff was excellent especially Yuri/Yury however the food was not up to snuff, the chicken katsu which 3 featured bone dry chicken and the sauce was not up to the same standard of even cheaper chicken katsus you can find around the city.
C. L.
It was very busy at the time we went but we were seated really quickly and staff are very friendly. Food was great as always and they gave us an extra portion which I was obviously pleased with! Quite loud in there with all the music and people but it is a good atmosphere :) The only thing I would say is we waited a long time for the bill but already fab as always!
S. K.
Lovely meals, great prices, perfect portions, food tastes amazing, kids get an activity colouring pack, I would defiantly attend again x
W. F.
Good Service and kind staff. Gyoza were my favourite followed by the steak teppanyaki noodles great flavour and worth the time and money.
S. I.
Situated next to the vue cinema in Westfield Stratford, the restaurant can get very busy, particularly in the evenings and over the weekend.
Wagamama offer a good selection of noodle and rice dishes, but the menu does not vary much over the years (which can be both a good or a bad thing depending on your point of view).
The portion sizing is good but can vary for the same dish between different Wagamama franchises. Chopsticks are provided on the table, but traditional cutlery can be requested for those not comfortable with chopstick use.
Pricing was very reasonable compared to some other restaurants.
The restaurant itself is very clean, and the staff were friendly. Service was very quick and the food arrived within a reasonable time frame.
There is a good selection of drinks both non alcoholic or alcoholic including many fruit juices. The smaller beer selection is nice offering some bottles up to 660ml.
K. T.
Wagamama is a nice place to eat if you're looking for some casual Japanese food. They have a good selection of dishes. Their chilli squid in particular is yum, although their broths are quite bland.
A. C. C.
Nice staff, fast service. Not the best ramen (for my taste anyway, too much noodles), but the chicken curry was very good. I like their natural juices too.
J. P.
Great fusion dishes, the katsu chicken curry is a real filler or try the udon noodle dishes for a spicy asian mix.
B. S.
Totally satisfied my cravings here. Prawns was cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious.👌🏼
A. C.
The service was nice, and the food good. But the steak bulgogi was overcook, you can see in the picture the burned noodles. Everything else were good, but for me an overcooked main dish is a mood killer.
P. P.
Great service, the manager Matt who took my allergy order was great. Super enthusiastic, full of positivity. Love that guy.
J. J.
Just had the best lunch with my wife at Wagamama in Stratford following my 10 Mile run at the Velodrome so I was ravenous and demolished my food in record time. As always the staff are very attentive we did not have to wait long for our delicious food to be served. We were here early so got a table easily and it did not get too packed. The food is reasonably priced and there are regular seasonal tweeks to the menu so there is always something new on the menu as well as our regular favourites.
A. C.
Great food. Wonderful attentive staff.
Firecracker with prawns their best main dish.
Chilli squid their best side. Kids were fighting over them.
Soup vegetable n tofu was flavour less but kids added sweet chilli sauce and soy sauce then loved it.
Whilst waiting kids were entertained by colouring and origami activity given by staff.
J. V.
Went a couple of of days ago and it was really busy but well present, neat and clean. Although it was was busy, we had excellent services from a young man who we think was named, "Auyush". He was exceptionally polite and made our visit to wagamamas a brilliant dinning experience 🙂
T. M.
Didn't have the Chilli Squid (the best dish BTW) sad times... Meal was excellent, staff great too.
A. O.
I often come here on Friday lunches... you know to treat myself for a hard weeks work completed
the staff are really lovely and the food is really nice
they have a good vegan menu and I seem to be mainly getting the 1123!
홍.
wagamama is large franchise in england. if you choice this restaurant, medium quality is guaranteed.
A. M.
Went to Wagamama in Stratford Westfield today. First thing you gotta know is that it's not Halal so you us Mozlemz have to stick to vegetarian and fish.
The food was ok . I had the New Prawn/kimchi ramen and Tbh that was not nice. I have had much nicer Ramen from authentic places Like Ramo Ramen.
The prawn lollipop was decent and my wife had the firecracker with prawn. That was the best thing in the store that we had. I had a very nice drink though (spinach, apple and ginger) .
The service was ok. You have to know that when it gets busy you might all get your food at different times.
Before leaving the person asked if we wanted to leave a tip which I thought was cheeky as there was nothing special done to deserve a tip.
Overall it's a 3/5 and that is being nice. There is much better restaurants in Westfield whether you need a halal diet or not.
M. G.
I’ve just been there and all the food was really really good, my curry was perfect and the edamame aswell.
Thanks to our waitress for taking care of us, i’m not sure but i think her name is Alice.
I will come back for sure ❤️
V. ..
Excellent customer service, very friendly staff especially Ayush. The food was amazing, it came quite quickly and it tasted fresh, my family enjoyed the meal and would definitely come again.
K. T.
The service was very quick and were very kind but the food was underwhelming. There was a picture on the menu and that picture made the dish look every so nice but when the actual dish arrived, it was tiny - so much so that the picture on the menu depicting it was probably larger than it. (They should have put a NOT TO SCALE warning so others don't set themselves up for disappointment)
A. A.
The food is changed, not as tasty as I consider it was before pandemic. And I don't understand why staff are not organised as the service charge is not included so they should be more attentive to get tips. I never had a good service but always came back for the food. However, considering tonight's experience...I'm not sure I'll go back for the food either. That's a pitty coz the mushrooms buns were the attraction...
R. K.
Contamporary place with casual mood and Japanese inspired cuisine. You will seat on a bench with strangers so you can socialize and meet new people ;)
Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is OK. Definitely recommended to try.
M. P.
This is the way how left the cutlery when he came to take the order, coriander it's not fresh looks old .
N. S. (.
I'm simply loving the vegan menu right now and I'm not even vegan!
I've visited a few Wagamama restaurants recently and I have not been disappointed. Good food and good service.
It's also a great space to have your lunch and so a bit of reading and working!
w.
I've been a customer of this specific Wagamama location for years now and they've gone through a major renovation. The place has been refurbished and personally I find it more functional than before. The new menu (summer version?) is also more straightforward, as less choice in this case means less confusing, and still a bit of everything available. Even the presentation of my favourite plate (yaki udon with salmon) has been reviewed for the better. Nevertheless the most important is that the fresh and delicious taste is still there. Particularly baby-friendly, I loved the kids menu, the offer of the crayons and the table already prepared with the baby chair upon our arrival. The Staff is very kind, my baby made a little mess on the table and the floor (sorry!) and they were very understanding and helpful. It's one of my usual places so 5 stars from me.
ᅳ. w. ღ.
the chicken was hard and the broth was unpalatable, however the staff are lovely and take dietary restrictions seriously
A. P.
There are 2 dishes that you should always try in Wagamama. If you like hot food, try chicken or prawn firecracker (image below) else have chicken katsu curry. Both are yummy dishes.
A. H.
Visited this restaurant Friday 25th June, 2021
Haven’t visited a Wagamama for a few years but my best friend wanted to eat there. I was apprehensive because I am Gluten Free and didn’t know if they catered for me - I couldn’t have been more surprised - not only did they have a great GF menu but the manager was extremely attentive and knowledgeable (Nick). Food as always was outstanding
S.
absolutely dynamite atmosphere! the music is always played at a good volume, bubbly staff that are attentive but not overbearing. The toilet facilities are discreet, and so allow for easy access to all. Would recommend this one over several others!
L. A.
Staff was realy nice
Food presented lovely
Very Filling
And tastyyyyy
E. N.
There are long queues on days, which shows the popularity of it, but, it's worth the wait as the food is awesome and staff are kind but, very slow at this particular branch... If you ask for something be sure to remind them (^_-)
N. M.
Table service and customer service was the worse ever. Just gave 3 stars for the food
A. Z.
Food is hot and fresh but service is often inattentive. Waiters themselves are very nice and friendly. Good variety and dietary options
C. R.
Dont be kidded by this store .IT IS FANTASTIC. the care taken for someone in our party who had an allergy was amazing. Fernando was a hero and deserves a pay rise.....well done
O. W.
Tasty but pricey for what it actually is
J. A.
Place is really nice after refurbishment. Food was ok. Service was poor.
D. A.
Always a delight to have ebi katsu, chicken katsu curry and the Fire cracker!!!!
F. Q.
I am a regular at this restaurant, the Hirata buns (vegetarian) are simply divine. The prawn raisukaree and Firecracker prawn dishes are lovely. The service is usually great. I can't comment on the beverages as I do not drink anything with my food.
R. K.
First time after the lockdown, visited with my family at their Startford restaurant, subtle changes they made looked very nice along with having the shield in place between diners. Reduced menu/portions sizes but the same great taste. Slight queing time as usual. Bao Buns and the prawn lollypop are my favourites here.
T. 3.
portions not very big ,but very tasty!!! Friendly personal! Good place!
L. F.
I am rating this specific branch 5 starts because of the very nice and professional staff. I had dinner with my partner and I ordered chicken curry. For some reason, I got curry tofu instead. I do not dislike tofu and I am not a picky eater, therefore I was going to eat it anyway but I thought I would let my dedicated waiter know so that he could amend the receipt. He made sure I had the tofu swapped with chicken and also did not make me pay for the my meal. All the staff was very friendly. Keep up the good work, and great customer experience.
S. G.
Excellent service and reasonably priced food
I only gave 4 even though they should get 5 this is because the new menu does not have some good options from the old one.
H. A.
Has amazing Japanese dishes!!!! It gets addictive to go and eat again in Wagamama.
A. B.
Good food as expected from wagamama. The staff on the other hand can be a bit more attentive to people's need.
C. H.
Waited 2mins to get in service was quick waitress couldn't have been more helpful, recommend a few dishes as I hadn't been before, place was really clean,as people were leaving they were cleaning and disinfecting the tables and seats which is very reassuring.
Prices are very reasonable you pay by card at your table eith by there app on by machine the choice is yours.
c. t.
visit last tuesday before the match, and despite being completely busy we had an amazing experience with beautiful food and superb service
L. O.
Excellent service and good food as always. I have to admit this surprised me given how busy it was in the restaurant but well worth visiting. Food as always was good and had the usual chicken katsu curry....friends also enjoyed it and despite being really busy, waiters were friendly and efficient. Come here nearly once a month minimum. Staff are friendly, even when busy and can’t knock the food. Always a good time service is quick even when busy
f. b.
Really nice, food fresh when served
D. M.
First up, this is the most stunning location Wagamama I have ever seen. It's really modern and warm, I like the charm of most of their other restaurants but this is beautifully done.
The down side - the food wasn't great. My Gyoza - the most classic thing on the menu - was a little cold inside and under cooked. I also had chilli squid and Pad Thai - both were just a bit dry and the Pad Thai was over done. he vegetables didn't have the usual crunch and flavour.
I also saw someone send back a Chicken Katsu Curry on the next table.
The Power Juice was incredible though, nice and fresh.
We sat down to eat at 4.45 pm and the restaurant was pretty empty but service (there were plenty of staff) was bad. Slow to take our order and we waited 20 mins with empty dishes before we had to chase the bill (the dishes were never removed whilst we were there). My pet hate - chasing the bill via several staff was annoying.
I can only imagine what it's like when full as it is a massive restaurant.
M. S.
Thought the food was great but it wasn't cheap. For the price they charge, I would expect more comfortable seating. It would also be nice if all the food came out together. There were four of us eating and there was always one of us waiting for our food while the others were eating. Waiting until we've all finished before clearing the plates would also be nice.
S.
This is a best chain of restaurants for vegetarians too. The cusine is closer to the Asian food. The portion size is good. There is a quality and taste to the food they serve. Whoever is selecting and training the staff, kudos to you. Irrespective of the location, the staff shares the same warmth, makes you comfortable and absolute agile.
D. w. A.
There was a bit of confusion with the order but the waitress Kamila was super nice to sort that out . Please raise her the wage, she is amazing !🙏❤️ The manager was nice as well and sorted out the confusion. It is nice to feel treated like a human. Thank you guys 😊
J. C. A.
Food has been better, a bit understaffed (as everything)
D. P.
Great service and even better food. One of the best Wagamamas ive been to. Good.stuff!
M. G.
This is for the chain not this particular branch. Nice food generally speaking, but for the price you shouldn't be expected to have to sit at a picnic style table with other people. Especially when you're trying to enjoy a meal with your partner. I hope they change this in the future
A. S.
Great food and service
J. S.
Good food, but the service at lunch time was a bit slow. There were a lot of empty tables but it took a while to get seated and then a while to catch someone to take our orders. Also our drinks were forgotten about and we had to ask for them after the food had arrived.
P. K.
Awesome food & tasty .
It was my first time . 👍
S. C.
Food was nice, waiter was attentive. The mushrooms in the bun were burnt so I asked for a new lot. Much better second time around. I do think they forget about dishes you order, certain dishes came out significantly later
N. R.
Feels like a restaurant despite being situated in the mall. The duck gyozas are amazing, but it faces tough competition from Busaba - which I think offers better value for money (also in the mall).
P. B.
Me and my friends came here last week. As a regular Wagamama customers we know the drill and exactly how everything works. What surprised me was the really friendly staff and overally fun environment. Our waitress was Sofia. She was really funny and knew the menu perfectly. A blond lady also delivered our food and was really friendly. Overall a great visit and Stratford has become one of our favourite branches.
G. M.
Very popular restaurant. Lovely and friendly staff. I am gluten free and i am very fussy. They had a small but fab menu. I ordered the coconut soup with rice noodles. It was delicious. My son had the cod bites with extra rice. Tasty filling food. Great staff. Good prices.
Thank you
N. C.
Its a wagamamas. Staff were friendly, especially our server, Alex. Pay rise for him NEEDED
M. A. O. A.
Beautiful place to chill out a Friday night and start a beautiful weekend after a week's work.
The prawns fire cracker was nice but a bit too sweet. Would request less sweet option when next I pop in to have dinner 🍽🥂🎶🎵🍹🎼
Highly recommended
G. S.
Amazing place, if you want to eat healthy and tasty Big Yes , friendly service, its quite large restaurant, you'll always find a place to have your favorite meal and drink and enjoy with someone , I recommend
C. W.
Overrated restaurant serving non-inspiring food.
S. A. K.
Delicious Japanese food, amazing staff, wonderful experience.
Z. M.
Beautiful interior!! Stunning atmosphere, the staff were excellent and made our experience even more enjoyable. Food as expected came in dribs n drabs and main course b4 our startes. But with wagama its expected. Seating is soo much better then b4.
D. T.
All the restaurants where very busy when we visited because of the test exercise at the Olympic stadium. We ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry, the chicken & seafood noodle soup with a couple of side dishes & drinks. We have eaten at other Wagamama sites before & knew we wouldnt be waiting long but despite being very busy the wait was less than 10 minutes. The food was fresh, tasty & hot with just enough spice to not spoil the meal. We wanted a dessert afterwards but couldn't manage it. All in all with leaving a tip, we spent £35 and felt it was money well spent.
C. C.
This Wagamama can sometimes not live up to expectations. We often visit this chain because our daughter LOVES the food! The problems before have been slow service, incorrect food being given to us, rude staff and things missing from the order. BUT today all the food was really nice, the staff were friendly and the service was quite timely.
R.
always amazing
Z. F.
Wagamama's being a chain you always know what to expect foodwise and this restaurant is no different. The food is good and there is a selection of options. The only disappointment with this restaurant is the service. I have visited before and after the refurbishment and still staff stand around and chat and don't promptly serve, get bills or re-fill drinks.
J. M.
Visiting a Wagamama is a “must do” for me in the UK and this is a decent location with a few flaws. We did this before the sky ride across the Thames river and it wasn’t that busy on the rainy hot day we were there. If you haven’t visited a Wagamama before, you are seated at large tables (possibly right next to other parties) and you order Japanese style food which is served out of order whenever it is ready. The gyoza and chicken katsu curry are must orders for me but everything we have had has been great. This location does seem to suffer from pretty slow service, we were seated for a while before we were even greeted and it wasn’t busy. It was also blazingly hot. They have air conditioning but it was barely working. While I know that is normal for Europe, this was especially bad.
J. Q.
We were seated outside. Service was ok. (Wagamama style - whatever is ready comes out first. Her food was out about 4 /5 mins before mine.) Then our 'starters' came out after that. Ah well tasted as nice as always. She didn't like her noodle dish which was a bit dry. My firecracker chicken was excellent!
A. D. T.
Love it great food amazing staff!
J. R.
I call this excellent restaurant once a month since I love the special air that is characterizes this place. The team is awfuly loyal and skilfull. The service is certainly quick. Also, the food you get is first-rate. I visited often and I was always happy. The payment is decent. I suggest this restaurant to to all.

Excellent service we alwgonna coming back, but its some issues they need stop missing water with fresh juice 😕, you you in the glass its been mixed with water
H. S.
LOVE THEIR SERVICE AND FOOD !
The waiters are super friendly and nice
The food is incredible 😍
S. F.
the staff was incredible nice and the food was perfect. i came with my family many times and even at busy times wagamama staff don't fail to surprise me in how professional they are. the service and the food are great. can't wait to come back again. xx
E. H.
I love the food here but service is usually a let down as they are very busy. Best place to get seated is inside the restaurant, there have been times when we’ve been seated outside and atmosphere is not so great! However, if you want a decent chicken Katsu curry then you’ll probably overlook the negatives!
X.
Came for lunch which I enjoyed. The gentelman who served me was friendly. The main menu which was handed to me appeared to have oil stains, which was a bit off putting. The only thing I did not like on this visit is that the server was insisting I give him a tip. This is a big put off to me, which is why I have changed my rating to 3 stars (08/05/2018).

Nice food, busy but staff are helpful and friendly (4 stars)
n. A.
Great place to eat, a bit busy waiting for bill
But all good
M. K.
It was decent, very over priced and service is quite slow due to there being half of westfield eating at the establishment. The meat was nice, however the portions don't make any sense.. I got 1 strip of chicken for 3 tonnes worth of noodles
C. E.
It was our first time here, the service was slow, the waiters were nice and the food was delicious for me - i ate udon noodles but my partner’s chilli ramen soup was lukewarm and lack of flavours. I found this place overpriced.
L. L.
Very good vegan food, and excellent service. Our waitress (Louise) was lovely and very patient even when the restaurant was pretty full. We really enjoyed dinner and will definitely come back!
C. W.
Portion was big (I was starving that day so this was a plus). Ingredients were fresh and price was reasonable. But it was not very authentic Japanese ramen, compared to those I had in Asia. The soup was translucent and tasteless while I was expecting thick and milky pork-rib broth. Anyway it was okay as a meal but did not qualify as ramen
M. T.
food is great 👍I would come back again. I ordered 1 ebi katsu eat all my foods but ebi katsu didn't come out so I ask the stuff he say he'll take ebi katsu off the bills but he didn't I guess he forgot 🤷♀️ by the time I check my bills I'm home already 😒😱😭.
G. J.
Love Wagamama. A bowl of hot soup, noodles and your favourite meat/prawns is a must! These dishes are called Ramen. You won't be disappointed!
N. A.
Had some great food here as usual from a standard wagamama. Staff were lovely. The only star down was due to the duck pancakes coming quite cold and just had no flavour. Otherwise, everyhting else was great!
C. P.
Good food and atmosphere. Nice server.
S. W.
Reasonably priced, good quality food. And equally important, it has very friendly staff who try their best to get your food to you in a timely manner (though it doesn’t always happen - but they try). Can’t go wrong with them really.
M. M.
This is the second time I have visited this restaurant. After going with my girlfriend , I returned with my friends as it was so good. The staff, the food and the little private dinning area makes this place truly amazing. The price is great and the menu has many options to choose from. Marina a served us and she was very friendly and provided us with a great service. I would definitely go back there
R. M.
I love Wagamama! The food is always brilliant here, I adore their fresh juices which feel energising and refreshing! The prawn firecracker is the spiciest firecracker I have ever eaten, I’ve been to a few other branches in and out of London and I have never ever eaten it this spicy before. Don’t skip breakfast and eat this dish as it’ll leave you burning stomach and throat 😂 the starters are delicious especially the salt squid which is one of my favourite dishes. Great place to enjoy food with friends and family, sharing bench style seating.
K. L.
The food is great but my favourite has been taken of due to the lock down and other factors.
T. O. “. T.
For some reason when I order vegan style at Wagamama they can't bring my dishes out until everyone else is finished...
Food is good, but object to having to eat in relays, just because I choose vegan options
V. M.
All Wagamama restaurants take care of you if you have a food allergy. The manager will take your order and it'll be cooked separately from other food to avoid cross contamination. This is the only chain restaurant I've been to with that sort of attention.
S. J.
Popular chain that has slowly diversified their menu over the years. I miss the Korean BBQ ribs, but there is plenty on there for everyone to find something they like. Fresh juices make for a more healthy addition too
A. W.
Good food, not ramen. Prices fine. But when they busy super slow service. But overall its food place for lunch with friend.
E. B.
The food is always fresh and delicious. Although the service is okay, it's always so noisy and the waiters are constantly in a rush it's so hard to grab their attention if you need something - but I would recommend.
S. P. N.
Nick, big shout out to our server here.
Food was lovely and portions are hugeeeeee, so beware.
All the food is pretty decent.
A. A.
Decent food, at decent price. Good for a quick bite or catching up with friends.
N. C.
Yusra at the Stratford restaurant was amazing, excellent customer service!!!
G. Z.
Absolutely love it, I must apologise to the poor staff. I'm going with my family, it means me, my husband and my little one , 14 month old. So you can imagine MESS he leaving for staff, on behalf of him and me sorry and thank you for taking care of us. Meals are absolutely delicious
B. B.
Excellent food with some interesting and unique drinks. Great atmosphere and staff are friendly.
M. L. (.
Decent food. Slightly overpriced for some of the dishes but overall good quality. Free green tea is really nice. Normally get the chicken katsu which is a really nice overall dish.
h. j.
The service from Alan was excellent, he was so lovely and made us laugh! Despite it only being his second day he knew so much about the job and the food! Very impressive!
A. N.
Food is always great, good quality well made food. The service is always good too. If you're like me you know what you're having before you get there. It's in Westfield so parking is very easy and close to the shops. Public transport is very good too. If you've never had Japanese food or tried Wagamama I recommend it. The gyoza is a must, it's a steamed and fried dumpling. The chicken Katsu curry and chilli squid are also very nice, in fact most things on the menu are good. If you're a vegetarian you'll find a good selection. I wouldn't bother with their version of pad thai it taste nothing like proper pad thai so if you like pad thai and order it, it will not be what you are expecting. The fresh fruit juices are also very tasty, but fairly expensive s oi you may as well just get a large glass. If you haven't tried Wagamama give it a go you won't be disappointed.
a. f.
Usually love wagamma but the service at this location let's it down, food was good, but it took a while before we were able to order and they forgot to bring one of the sides we ordered, which, when we finally got someone to get our bill, they did take off without argument. It was also the longest ice ever waited at a wagamma for food to come following ordering, my friend was almost finished by the time my meal came. If you're in a hurry give it a miss.
R. A.
Love their lollipop prawns... and the prawn fire cracker in noodles is sublime...
Be aware though the prawn firecracker is on another level when it comes down to being spicy... it's not for the faint hearted!
I'm a seasoned pro... and it still makes me sweat...
A. M.
Love the food and it doesn't take long to get served...not just happy how selfish the company is regarding staff.
D. H.
Very good food!
Really nice staff. Social distancing rules are applied. “Pay by phone” is very simple.
H. W.
We had a very tasty meal here with some excellent service although the meal was perfectly cooked i found it too hot for my taste and the staff couldn't do enough to help offering me various solutions. I did appreciate their helpfulness and will return here and recommend this restaurant to anyone.
C. H.
Asian style chain restaurant in Stratford Westfield Shopping Centre. I like their style and type of food which seems healthy and not very hot: large portions of soups and other mains are made with plenty of vegetables. Long simple shared tables but food is good quality and very similar to Thai style if good. Sometimes there is a wait.
B. k. K.
I visited wagamama westfeild Stratford on 22 Aug 18, To be honest we go out to have food to feel good and yes Joao and the manager was great. There was a bit of problem with the order but they made sure we walk of the door happily and that's what a customer wants when they dine out. Food as usual was great love seafood ramen higly recommended they never disappoint you with seafood cooked to perfection.
N. A.
Loved the food, and the staff was lovely. The wait was not long at all.
C. S.
Good food, the manager was so friendly and assisted us with such politeness after we told him that some of our group members were leaving the country for good. We were served by a very friendly waitress too.
S. L.
Excellent...Great food...brilliant and helpful staff...absolutely covid compliant...big thumps up.
H.
Have always been a Wagamama fan, since refurbishment of Stratford Westfield bunch, food isn’t too standard. Noodle soup base was just about warm, chilli Squid was also just warm. Some of the staff don’t look interested. Would think twice of going back.
b. s.
Unfortunately we had a waiter who didn't speak much English so didn't understand what we mean, our drinks arrived after our food did and then a few moments later one more drink turned up which was the right drink up the wrong size. Once we got the bill we were charged for the large even though we only had a reg. I brought it to their attention and they changed the bill
G. Z.
Delicious food! There is a very wide range of vegan and vegetarian dishes, we tried the veganatsu, vegan ramen and buns and they were outstanding! Really enjoyed. I 'll definitely be back!
J. C.
OK food. Staff friendly. Nice atmosphere.
B. F.
The menu and service were ahead of our expectations. We absolutely liked the vibes of this restaurant. Extraordinary restaurant to take the family out for lunch.
M. R.
Friendly staff, very accommodating. Food is good.

Wagamama never disappoints! Always fresh and good food. Teriyaki Lamb was excellent, very tasty and good amount of spice. Service is very good and staff are always welcoming and friendly.
R. S.
We went to Wagamamas on Friday night, the food was great and the service fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. We went back again on Saturday night, all the staff were Great, especially Pana, our waiter from Friday, who made us feel welcome and remembered us. Thank you, we will be back next time we are in London
A. Ć.
The service was good and the food was nice. Would be more pleasant if they could bring the food for the whole table (2 people) at the same time, but they did apologize for that in advance.
M. A.
Really friendly service whilst we waited in the queue, of which went really fast. Seating distanced in line with COVID rules and food was delicious.
Can't fault.
D. R.
Nice restaurant, very very casual, good value for money! Efficient service!
J. B.
One of my favourite eat-outs. I began dining at the 1st Wagamama in Streatham Street, Bloomsbury, London in the 1990's, and I still get great pleasure from eating their dishes. Fabulous !
B. l. M.
Overall good food and good service, however one of the ladies was extremely rude and didn't change are order when we asked her to. I
must say the desserts were disappointing but that's what you get when u order ice cream covered in rice.
E. G. E.
I and my wife regularly visit Wagamama when in Westfield, Stratford. We have always found the food to be of a consistently high quality with a prompt table service. On our most recent visit we were served by a very pleasant waiter by the name of Eustace.
E. A.
Always get the best service from all staff-- friendly and helpful, and of course, delicious meals. Thank you very much!
S. H.
As I sit here waiting for my take out order a few observations are noted.
I've eaten at this branch many a time. The food, as expected at any Wagamamas is deeeeeecent (I'm a fanboy, I know), I sit here waiting on my Firecracker chicken with extra prawns patiently. Served by a gentleman that's advised me this is a busy time so good may be 15 mins or so.......that's fine....I'm in no rush.
However, I'm not sure why added prawns as cost me 3 quid or so as apposed to the usual 1.05 for 4. I asked for eight.......that's fine.....it's still good value.
All the staff seem to be pleasant and are busy today. The above average level of chatter and condensed seating means I wouldn't advise this being a place you come on date 1 - 3. You need to be able to hear your women easily at that fragile period. Avoid this branch for that.
Lastly, as I wait...a green tea wouldn't have gone a miss. No offer as of yet but I'll edit should it arrive.
Come to Wagamamas though peeps. Some good eating.

N. A.
Delicious food however food portion have gone smaller
N. J.
Knd and patient waitress, pretty bad tasting food. I don't know whether the seasoning, the spices or the whole of the dishes, but we didn't like any of them. Sad really.
M. G.
Food was nice only had starters as that's all I like to eat there as I like variety. 103, 112 and 99! Aso had some colouring therapy as there are colour pencils and food mats you can colour in as you sit.
P. L.
The outdoor seating is in the shopping centre and quite unfriendly. Service is OK but sometimes you need a while to attract someone's attention to get a refill or the bill.
O. K.
Too busy, too noisy. Rather like the living hell that is Westfield generally.
As ever, good food, a bit pricey for what it is, and lovely staff who retain good humour despite the tsunami of customers.
L.
Great food good service all at an amazing price.
C. c.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere.delicious food, all round winner.
L. L.
Staff are generally helpful but twice now I've visited & stated that I'm vegan so don't want egg....twice they've brought me egg noodles in my ramen...They were very apologetic and helpful afterwards but better attention to detail is needed for those with allergies sake.
U. E.
When it comes to Oriental food in Westfield I'd probably opt for Busaba, though this is Thai food. So if you're specifically looking for Japanese food then Wagamama is good. I've never been a huge fan of Wagamama, feels a bit of a McDonald's of Japanese food. This one is located on the top floor of Westfield opposite Nando's or near the Vue cinema. A safe choice if you're looking for what to eat is the prawn firecracker, it is nice and spicy. Though you should opt to get it with the udon noodles. Overall Wagamama is a safe and fairly healthy choice I guess.
N. M.
Nice place at the top floor. Staff is friendly
L. B.
Service was really nice...gave me a ladel as a spoon when a spoon would have been just fine lol. Food was a bit blah. I know they have been working with the amazing cook daily from boxpark in shoreditch so will go in and see if its any better.
J. H.
lovely meal,service,always deliver
J. H.
Good food; tasty and healthy. Love it.
t. h.

J. A.
It's a nice place to eat, not very suitable for those who want a quiet evening. The food is nice and has gluten free options, the staff are helpful and so is the management. Will visit again.
J. K.
I have visited a few Wagamama's in London and Westfield Stratford City is by far one of the best, my family and I received the best customer service from the fun and friendly waiting staff, the food was amazing and an all-round excellent experience. I would definitely recommend to family and friends, two thumbs up!!
R. P.
Had a lovely chicken curry with kids. It’s a lovely chain restaurant, atmosphere and the service were brilliant. Staff were friendly and helpful.
M. G.

Yaki soba taste was plain and there wasn't enough meat to make them interesting. Well cooked and good portion though.
P. R.
Great food, great service, friendly staff all wearing visors. Really enjoyed our visit.
M. P.
I think prices are going up but the portions are getting smaller.
C. C.
Good food, enough portions. Nice staff.
service could have been better if better organised.

Service is very good and the food was so nice
A.
The food is as fresh as ever and apart from the queue to get in all was perfect.
R. Y.
Lovely food, good service
K. T.
Very busy during lunch/dinner time so prepare to queue outside. Food is ok and mainly catered to Westerners and not really authentic Japanese food.
G. T.
Had a nice early dinner... service friendly... although slow... food as always excellent...
M. F. (. P.
I am not a big fan honestly. Came here with friends before a movie. The food was OK, but if you really want Japanese food, go to a Japanese place.
O.
Ordered food for pick up at 7:30 online yet @ 8:20 I’m still waiting?? Food is alright but was on the verge of asking for a refund and leaving
E. D.
Lovely food, quick service and friendly staff
D. W.
Looks like a school dining hall with long lines of wooden tables and bench seating fixed to the floor. But the food and service were excellent.
M. C. (.
Offers loads to choose from and staff are wonderful to you only reason it's not 5 stars is (good luck finding an empty table after 2pm)
D. P.
Other than the unattentive waitress, the food was a good experience overall.
T. L.
I tried vegetarian ramen and the vegan rice with deep fried vegetables dishes, they are quite good but not too impressed.
B. I.
Lovely place to go with friends and family. I love to go back again. The service is Good and the food is very delicious
E. R.
Would have given 5 stars but my wife's ramen with chicken was bland. My beef ramen was very good.

Z. I.
I really hope the managers can see this: PLEASE CHANGE ALL YOUR BENCHES or TABLES. It is really hard to sit and I often ended up getting bruises on my knees because the bench was fixed to the ground.
B. P.
My local Wagamama’s. Beef + Chicken Donburi are the best.
Staff are always super nice!
L. B.
