I'm not sure what people are expecting here that generates low reviews but this place is excellent. The staff are attentive and it was quick to order and receive. They were one nugget short my order so when some fresh ones were cooked they found me and gave me a whole free portion! The menu is limited but excellent quality. I assume they are taking things slow to make sure the concept works in the UK but they have the staples and they are done fantastically. The burgers are particularly good with plenty of fresh ingredients. It was a really "clean" tasting burger in comparison to its rivals, by which I mean it feels like your eating something good and not a lump of transfats. Place is clean with staff clearing tables diligently. I hope this takes off and they can expand their menu to include some of the more unique items like in the US.

Remind me of childhood. Food was good better than other fast food places. Staff were very nice the only downside was the cleanliness as it looked like no one was cleaning the tables which quite worrying specially at this time. We had classic chicken, double Dave’s and kids cheese burger meals and they all were good.

Words can’t describe how great the food was! 🤤 The service 10/10 friendly staff, simple queuing and collection points. Food is fresh, delicious and made with good ingredients. Free refills which is great and almost 100 drinks flavours to choose from 😋 Loads of seats available to dine in. All the packaging is recyclable and they don’t do straws 👍🏽 Also loved how it’s served on a metal tray. I will 💯 be coming back!! I also noticed they have non binary toilets too. Came to order the triple Dave burger with cheese fries. You can see the size of the burger wasn’t as huge as what I thought from the menu. I wanted a big massive burger that fills me up but this is probably just a bit taste of it. Although the taste of the beef was juicy and delicious! Pretty good place if you want a fast food burger.

It's fine. Nothing special. I traveled an hour to just try it. I'll tell you this much it's 100% better than McDonalds. If you go during a busy period expect to wait 40 minutes for your order. That's how long mine took from queueing to order to waiting to receive my order. It's good value for money. It's much cheaper than 5 guys. I tried both a double cheeseburger and the spicy chicken burger. The beef burger was good but the spicy chicken wasn't spicy at all. It was very bland. Maybe just pepper added. I wanted it to be much hotter. I would actually give it a 3.5 starts but you can't on Google reviews.

Not a big fan of Burger but pop in to Wendy's and have had a Beaconator. One word...."Scrumptious". Try it yourselves and you won't want to go to others. Great quality burgers in Stratford. Definitely try different burgers next visit.

Very famous American restaurant, known for quality fast food. The Dave’s single combo was mouthwatering, burger was juicy and sauce used complimented it well. I was also very impressed with the chilli con carne, was seasoned very well. Overall was impressed with quality of food and would highly recommend this place to locals.

There was a bit of a queue and there's no menu to peruse while you wait so if you don't know the menu then download the app or view menu online to save time. Also only has a very small order area which doesn't help with queues. Food was fresh, hot and absolutely yummy! It's great to be able to upgrade to loaded fries with your meal. Staff seemed to really take care when making and presenting food. Kids loved the soda and the amount of choices including the unusual Mezzo. Restaurant was very clean.

Great Burgers are back in Great Britain Staff friendly and pleasant, food was perfect, a significant improvement on McDonalds / Burger king for an insignificant increase in money Square burgers are a novelty but the patty was succulent, salad crisp and fresh. Don't remember the chili cheese fries from before but that was probably 20 years ago, these aren't suitable to eat on the go ......burger probably wasn't either to be fair as it did drip juice a little .. . .but when the food is this good it's worth taking the time to enjoy fast food slowly!

Apart from the really long queue (understandable because of the social distancing rules plus the fact they they are new), the food was really good and my American wife confirmed that it tastes exactly the same as it does in America. So good to see Wendy's back I've the UK. Stumbled upon them in Stratford and thought I'd give them a go. Made remember them in Oxford Street years ago to which they blew with shocking service, which is probably why they never survived first time round. The store was clean and minimalist, almost a bit sterile. Didn't like the plain metal tray, we're not in a prison!! Saying that, the lady taking orders was very pleasant and friendly. The food was good... Burger not hot enough at all, hence 4 stars. Lovely fresh ingredients. Fries were great, not over salted. And nice to be able to pour your own drink, and have it bottomless. Overall a good experience. Welcome back Wendy's, I hope you do better this time. But please, plain metal trays is not a good look!

This is my second time eating at Wendy’s. First visit was alright, apart from the chicken burger I ordered. The chicken fillet had a very weird smell and the texture inside was weird too. The crust on the chicken looked sort of burnt and it seemed like it was fried in very old oil. However, on my second visit I have tried one of the beef burgers. Burger was decent, the fries are probably the best I’ve eaten at a fast-food place. The variety of drinks is good and you can also refill your drink. The biggest surprise was the customer service I have received from Jason. He was very polite, helpful and trying to satisfy every customer with a smile on his face. I would’ve rates higher if the chicken burger was better, but for now I can only give three stars.

My favourite burgers. Dave triple burger, upgraded to large but miserly portions of fries, only discovered once returned home. Also lots of drinks unavailable, no straws available or drinks carriers for take away meals, making it very difficult to carry several meals and large drinks without these. Ok tricky review .. can't fault the food! .. however, the service time is awful .. it took 16 mins to get our food .. I had read reviews before visiting and had been put off by the wait times .. decided to give it a try when walked past with no queue .. they had alot of staff standing about not really doing much .. when the management work out how to lead the team this place will get it together and waiting times should go down .. I would wait again though as the burger was really tasty!

I ordered for delivery via Ubereats. Sadly was disappointed by the quality of the Dave’s burger patty, twice I bit into it and it had odd chewy sinewy bits (pictured) which were hard and impossible to bite through - very weird! Secondly they forgot my chicken nuggets which should just a hanging offence really shouldn’t it. On the upside the Frosty was nice, although a straw to drink it would have been good. Fries arrived kinda cold so hard to say if they were any good!

Delicious, I got baconater fries and a Daves Double. You get a good burger for the best value. It's as literally as cheap for mcdonalds. And it's 100% better than mcdonalds and it's just better than five guys. Totally recommend! But you have to wait quite a bit as it took ages to get our food but was worth.

After being in the States and experiencing Wendy's a few years ago I was super excited to get down to Stratford and fall back in love with the Baconator. Sure there was a long queue when we arrived but what we received was pure heaven! Full of fat and meaty gorgeousness, it was everything I remembered it was and it tasted exactly the same as it does in the States. The chili was to die for and the Frosty? Well if you know your Wendy's you know how good a Frosty is!

Slightly annoying that it takes a while to order food, only one person on tills at lunchtime meant i head to wait in a queue for 15 mins. Double baconator burger and chocolate frosty was very good! Really happy to see Wendy's back in the UK. Whilst I must admit, I prefer the U.S branches. I really enjoyed our visit to the Stratford one. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Food was really good with really good portion sizes!

Overall, it's good value for money. However we had to wait 30-40 mins for the food to be prepared, and this was when the queue was not long at all. We understand that the staff is new, but the kitchen seemed quite uncoordinated. The rate of food coming out was around 1 order every 1-3 minutes, which created a bottleneck in the service as they took more orders in the till than what they could handle. Regarding the food, the beef cheeseburger (Dave's Single) was delicious. It tasted like if it came out of a restaurant and not a fast-food place. On the other hand, the fries (Baconator) were soggy, had no cheese and the portion was rather small. The milkshake (Chocolate Frosty) was OK. We would come back if the waiting are addressed.

Visited for the first time today and I’m super happy about the experience. A massive Thank you to Mabs, The general manager and the whole team who were all super lovely, helpful and made my time at Wendy’s one to remember. Baconator ,oh a brioche bun with two square think moist perfectly cooked burgers with two prices of American cheese and bacon bits covering the top burger. I can say without bias or prejudice this is the best burger chain entering the UK. A friend said it was here years ago on Shaftesbury avenue ,London and shut down this can't happen again. Now with the rapid expansion we can all have it in Croydon.

Lots of one star reviews, but they are not deserved. Maybe the initial hype and rush has died down, but I got my meal (double Dave burger) within 10 minutes of entering - Burger King takes longer! Staff were courteous, and burger was fabulous. I usually give 4 stars, but I'll give an extra one as it is so cheap, £6.50 for a proper filling meal. It's well worth a trek through the Stratford Centre

Wendy’s @ Stratford is my favourite fast-food place in London, with delicious, affordable burgers and brilliant service. I particularly wish to commend an extremely friendly and professional server named Joel, who always treats customers in such a fantastic way that it really makes their day to be served by him. In my opinion, moreover, Wendy’s offer a significantly better vegetarian burger (the Veggie Stack) than any of their competitors in the UK.

Was curious to try the first Wendy’s in the UK so drove up and parked in the Westfield car park. It’s a short walk across into the old Stratford shopping centre. Ordered a couple of burgers, single Dave which was good. The salad tasted much fresher and crispy than McDonald’s. Baconator was dry hence the 4 stars. Classic Chicken was average. The fries were okay, prefer McDonald’s fries. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Toilets were clean. Seems like another average burger store in my opinion.

Great tasting food and at competitive prices. Definitely the better of the fast food chains as the ingredients look and taste real. The only disappointment are the queues; the Wendy's UK management team definitely did not anticipate the demand as the kitchen is too small. This leads to a slow service and off-putting long queues but the food is good so all is forgiven.

I heard good things about Wendy's from a lot of American influencers and decided to order it on uber eats. One bite into the burger just made my mouth water. It was something so good that it will definitely be my first choice for fast food.

The store was not as busy as I've seen it to be. Even then, I had to wait quite a bit to get my food from ordering. You don't get a straw with your drink, just a cup where you have to fill in yourself. The lid of the cup looked mucky to me. I appreciate that there were multiple drink options and I'm sure if you done it, it would be unlimited. The burger had no flavour, which really disappointed me as it looked incredible. I ordered the back burger and it was mediocre at best. There was nothing about my meal that wowed me. There are other fast food chains just next door.

Really good place for a fast food. Looks clean even if it is new. Fast service, and the girl that took our order was very nice. The burgers are well made and fresh. Poor selection of drinks. 2 menus one single one DBL :£11 something. You really have what you have for you money. Recommend to anyone who wants a cheap good quality fast food.

Better food and cheaper than burger king. Though not as cheap as McDonald's, the food is better. Lower quality than Five Guys and Shake Shack, but not as expensive. Solid fast food joint, highly recommend dipping your chips in your frosty, the baconator and the chilli con carne.

Their beef burgers are far better than their competitors Macdonalds and Burger King but it stops there for me. Everything else is average tasting fast food. Not sure what the big fuss was about when they opened. 3 stars are for the burger patty/meat nicely cooked. I think it was medium. I would probably go back just for their beef burger.

Don't get discouraged by the low rating, give it a shot. For me this was hands-down the best fast-food burger and fast-food fries I've ever had in UK, so much tastier than the competition. Also, they have Dr. Pepper. ❤️

The fries felt like they had been sitting or overcooked and in terms of amount I was missing a whole medium fries from the order… aside from the fries was a good experience and the line is usually small which means food right away unlike the mcdonald’s a few stores down. A dream came true today to have a Wendys in the UK. The queue was like 30 long but it was worth the wait. To have a double burger of that quality, fries and refillable drinks for £7 is the best meal deal going. It a bit short of my favourite five guys but incredible value and I'll be going back many times.

it may be a quality meat, as a loud advertising saying, but it is clear that it is not a burger to crave for, is just food, when you are super hungry. absolutely nothing special, TASTELESS UNFORTUNATELY , and talking about waiting time, 35 min for 2 burgers. It was only the first time, to try it , but we WILL NO LONGER CHOOSE IT as a favorite, you can only choose it as a SOMETHING TO EAT, but nothing else. They should really show that with that "special meat" comes something tasty...

I've been here twice. The food is good - fresh and very tasty, and there are loads of drinks. However, the wait times are insane... Even though the queue didn't look that long, I had to wait about 25 minutes both times (one of them not peak). It seems the staff don't yet have systems in place to cope with serving a large volume of customers quickly as other fast food chains do. They look very busy in the kitchen but hardly any food comes out to be served! Until this is rectified, I don't think they are able to compete unfortunately. Thankfully the staff are lovely but I hope they can speed things up somehow and then they'll be ready to crush McDonald's.

Tried to go a few days after it first opened but the queue was very long so thought we would try again later. Went today (2 weeks after) and there was no queue outside but ordered on our phone anyway. My order took half an hour, which is way too long for fast food as I was stood waiting in the pick up area. The food was excellent when it came, however I think I will leave it a few more weeks/months to settle before returning. The Wendys in the US also take a while but not as long as this. Hoping they sort it out because with a McDonald’s only seconds away they cannot be working at such a snails pace

I've just started using Stratford Wendys due to proximity to my studio yes they have work to do getting equipment working or inventory (No morning Porridge for me for now) etc. but I immediately noticed the vibe is different from say your Mc D's They seem more human and less system like. they actually seem like they want to help. The machine broke but it was no problem for the staff member to make it manually Sorry I'm not going to tell y'all my real favourite reason for going there, Just in case you "TAKE MY SEAT" as a matter of fact I'm sitting there Right Now! 😂

There is nothing wrong with the food. It just didn't live up to the hype. Burgers are below average, even in comparison to the cheap chicken shops I feel some of them do better burgers. It was just very 'meh' and I personally wouldn't rush back. It's somewhere you would stop if you was really hungry and needed something to eat. It would satisfy you. It's not somewhere I would purposely set out to go and eat at. Underwhelming I'm afraid.

Walked past, did not visit. No adverts in window to give me an idea of what to expect. Did see a menu inside, other side of the counter but did not visit not knowing the products. Later looked online, no prices shown so wont bother. All breakfast appears to contain funny square eggs (i like scrambled or hard boiled) so not even a bacon roll option. Mainly fizzy drinks, couldn't see a water or OJ option. No deserts apparently- something called a "Freezey?" couldn't figure if it was a milkshake or ice cream? Very limited doubt I'll bother

Not a big fast foodie, but had to try out Wendy's. First impressions, the place is very clean and bright. There is a good list of food options, sadly on my visit they had run out of all cold fizzy drinks. It is very busy, so service is slow, but to be expected as it certainly appears popular. Bethany had chicken nuggets, they were a tad salty and not to her taste, I had had the baconator hamburger, which was filling, but did not enthrall me with flavour. Square beef patties made for a change. I would go again if only to try the other options on the menu.

I really wanted to go and try out this place but I have to say that it is nothing extraordinary. We waited about 20 minutes for our order, and the food was quite overpriced compare to the quality. I haven’t had Wendy’s since I was in the US, years ago. It was nice to find out the burgers aren’t basic like McD’s. The Burgers are very good. But they mess up orders. Miss not one but two/three things… Not good enough.

Very slow service for “fast” food. There’s a queue outside the restaurant to prevent it getting clogged up inside but it moves at a snail’s pace. There’s even a doorman like it’s a nightclub. The kitchen is well-staffed but they all look brain dead. No dynamism or sense of urgency so the orders are churned out about once every 2 mins even though there’s about 10 of them back there. Food very good so I’d order again, but delivery - not eating in.

I've been seeing people queuing outside waiting to get in, making me think the place would be somehow different from other fast food restaurants. In my opinion, it was no different and the whole experience was OK.

Went for the first time yesterday. Waited in the queue for 45 min than another 40 min for my order. Think it was very disorganised and they did not prepare properly for obvious crowds. The food however was amazing. The size was of burgers and fries is perfect based on prize I’ve paid ( which was only £37 for 5 double and triple burgers , ice cream and 3 special fries ). The meat was tiny bit dry but the rest of the burger was so nice you could barely taste it. Is it the best burger in London ? Not even close. However it’s a very good quality cheap fast food and I will definetly visit again.

Had to queue for 30 mins to get in and then about 20 mins to get food. When I did get the food the restaurant was nearly empty. Burger was OK, had Baconator fries that were nice. I stupidly paid for the larger cup but I think it's unlimited refills. Overall it was nice for a change but probably worth waiting until the queues for down. Wendy's are expanding in the UK so hopefully that will help.

20’ waiting outside to order (if no more), only one person on the till and was not really helpful “how’s the double baconator?” -> “it’s double” :))) then we waited 25’ more to get our food, at least we were seated… there are 7 people in the kitchen (snail speed apart from the one doing dispatch) and I understand they also take food orders through apps but 30’ for literally one burger with fries it’s crazy. I’ll prob wait until they get less busy to come back cause the food was nice. Btw Denis (FOH) was amazing, really helpful and friendly, ready to help everyone and greet them.

First impressions, clean. Second impression, where’s the crowds. More shorty than forty minute wait. Weird lack of wall downstairs with a hanging over it, I’d have gone right through that after a couple shandys. The food. Chips were cold and salty but Leyton (name redacted) said she loved the salt, she lives for salt. The burger, pretty good actually; better than any of the chains though not as good as your big hitters - your fives, your shakes etc. The Frosties oh the Frosties… the vanilla was like a diluted cold polyfilla, really really awful, worst drink I’ve ever had at a fast food restaurant. Leyton still trying but it won’t get finished. Chocolate was alright, I originally said lovely, but on reflection it’s not all that. Malt taste is good. Atmosphere feels a bit like B&Q. Solid 3 stars

The speed at which the food is coming out is disgraceful, but once you get it its pretty good, lots of problems with people getting incomplete orders, and the staff looks like, how should I put this without sounding to rude, "high on something" I'll try to come again, but maybe when there's less then 10 customers, atleast then I won't need to wait 30 mins for a burger
