Reviews of Winsor House Brewers Fayre
K. U.
Visited here last Sunday for a Roast, we hadn't booked and it was busy, all the staff were very friendly and attentive.
The Carvery was fabulous value for money and the Chef made sure that there was plenty of fresh Meat and Vegetables avaliable at all times. Thank you to the team for looking after us on a busy Sunday. Will definitely be back soon. Kim & Lee.
w. a.
I have taken one star off the rating due to very slow service - they were clearly understaffed. Delay in getting service in the beginning and bill at the end. Other than that, it was economical, good ambience, generous food portions and staff (when available) were courteous. Will definitely be back again - hopefully, service would be a lot better next time around.
T. G.
Got there at 4.00 for the carvery and all the beef had run out and there was no more coming out so that was very disappointing. The one saviour of the night was your waitress Demi. She is a credit to you and kept a level head throughout all of our moaning. Beer nice and cold and when we finally decided what alternative meal to get it was all good.
Cheers to Demi.
J. E.
Understaffed 1st night we went and to be honest we weren't impressed.
HOWEVER, excellent landlady/manager who addressed our concerns following day. The food and service really was excellent. More staff on duty and could not fault it.
Think our 1st night was a blip.
Definitely will recommend. Thank you 👌
C. P.
Really great place. Had a room to ourselves for the lunch as there were quite a lot of us and it was great. The only issue was that they didn't have a lot of things which was slightly disappointing but we had a good time.
M. B.
Regular English pub, the food too oily cooked but for one time, fast food it is ok. For star for friendly staff, doing their best.
S. S.
Sadly this restaurant continues to disappoint.
On arriving there was no greeting .other members of my family were already at a table and I was left at the bar area for five minutes before I spotted family.Staff had passed me without a word or introduction. Not even I will be with you in a minute,or a smile
Many items were again missing from the menu and despite the excuse of driver shortage this has usually been the case on numerous occasions pre Brexit.
I have yet to visit and get what I have ordered without alternative. No pizza available at 6pm for grandchildren on a Thursday and staff ill informed as to what is available .
i. g.
I really enjoyed the meal, i had Smothered Platter everything was amazing just not recomended to have any stake because its taste totally different then real stake but other food i had was really good. As many times i tryed stake at brewery thats wasn't stake i expected.
D. B.
Visited the brewers fayre fir the last two Sundays, found staff to be very helpful, Rahim cakved the meat. Was very friendly and accomodating.mandy was also very friendly and the watress istaff was very happy to help. Good atmosphere the Riast was very nice well worth a vist
M. C.
Good food all round, though we did sit down to a list of food on the menu but not available that evening. My son, who is a vegetarian, had very little to choose from.
T. B.
Meals for Kids are available!
Got a loyalty card as well, great service.
Part I loved most was the refill 🍹 drinks
And of course the playground where the kids could burn off energy
I. S.
This is definitely one of my favourite gay nightclubs in London. There are two dance floors, staff performances, bingo on Mondays and hair hour on Fridays. Admission is free before 10pm on Saturdays which is already the price of two drinks in. There are a lot of sexy guys and even some girls and music is more like pop commercial on the main stage and house on the other dancing floor. I would definitely recommend it of you're looking for a good gay night out.
D. H.
Staff were lovely. Food was alright, can’t complain from the price. We just stopped off for a little snack on our way to Canary Wharf 🥰
s.
Went as a group for a breakfast meeting. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good with a good and constant selection.
D. C.
Went the for the carvery on a Sunday afternoon. We got there just in time as it gets very busy around 3pm, so get there early or book a table. The staff were friendly and the food was good quality. I would have liked a bit more variety of vegetables available. All in all a good meal and good value.
D. A.
Food was very good staff especially Ivy were welcoming, friendly and very accommodating. This will become a regular restaurant for me in this part of London
S. H.
Excellent food and service !
B. T.
I really wanted pie & mash but partner is veggie/vegan so went here instead and we wasn't disappointed. I had the sausage & mash filled Yorkshire pudding and Karen had a mac n cheese. I really struggled to eat mine as it was so filling and really tasty. The mac n cheese was lovely, crispy on top and, soft and very cheesy as it should be. Staff were excellent and attentive, kept the drink refills coming and were very polite and friendly.
O. A.
Beautiful 😍!! The food was fantastic, me and my Son did enjoy our food. My Son had burger with chips and salad, and l had fish and chips: it was lovely, we both sat in the garden and the lovey waitress Gave us a service with a beautiful smile, what more do we need. Thank you so much 💓
M. S.
If there was a 7th star it would have got that
Absolutely great could only take a few pics of the food as my wife and 2 kids started to eat theres straight away
Couldn't find fault in anything customer service second to none food was exceptional all round great experience felt like I had been looked after like I had been to a 5star restaurant
Staff are well versed in customer care and very attentive to all that walk through the door
All I can say is try it for yourself you won't be disappointed and for those who have had a (mystery) bad experience maybe they were having a bad day and instead of speaking to the management who should probably have been glad to help and sort out the problem you took to Google to vent
Trust in this I'm an avid TripAdvisor and try it for your self
J. k. J.
Nice food.. good atmosphere. Outside seating and children's play area is a good addition. Some staff are not very welcoming.
N. H.
Good food good drink only thing that was a let down was having to chase my pudding as it was nowhere to be seen after waiting for 30+ minutes.
c. d.
It was nice .
We had the 2 for £8.99 meals which is a nice nice meal for the amount of money .
Cooked nice .
J. G.
Pub grub was great needs a bit more atmosphere, but good for families.
S. P.
Great service. Was busy with local vent a table within 5 minutes. Food was tasty and a good price.
J. M.
Food ok, pleased my 🐕 allowed in, playpark great for kids. Worth going Sunday for Carvery? Saves cooking.
L. A.
Good food choice, well decorated and staff welcoming
G. G.
Unfortunately it's not the best Premier Inn in the chain but the staff give 110% and I thats what makes it better -
Without the staff i would only give it a two stars -
Food is ok definitely good value for money £15 will definitely see you have a full belly
R. A.
Always come here once in a blue moon. Lovely atmosphere and the staff are welcoming and friendly. Their lunch menus are affordable and tasty!
T. P.
Nice place to go for a family meal. Decent prices, Decent pub food
C. G.
Considering it wasn't busy the service was very slow on this visit (23/9/21) food was great and very hot, I'd go back again
A. G.
Good night out with colleagues...was presentable a lot of people in..very welcome place
S. W.
For a Sunday roast not bad for £10..is what it is suppose...but food was decent to be fair.👍
S. J.
Great service here, the carvery is good too.
S. d. m.
nice place, very quiet maybe because it's Wednesday, clean, staff friendly and prepared to suggest drinks wheel chair friendly parking available specially in Newham where pubs are to disappear
N. H.
Good food good drink only thing that was a let down was having to chase my pudding as it was nowhere to be seen after waiting for 30+ minutes.
N. M.
Nice cozy pub with lovely buffets & very good value for money. Very well situated DLR & bus station just outside and next to A13.
S. H.
Good food and selection of drinks
C. M.
Delicious food, staff exceptionally helpful. Highly recommend.
L. W.
Friendly staff nice beer had a nice time(first time visiting) will be back...;)
I. A.
5 stars for Mandy thank for looking after us well at breakfast! Unfortunately anyone we had after that were just not quite as welcoming or attentive, nevermind though we still had a good time.
N. M.

For a modern building, it's got a nice old world pub feel. Full of famillies, nice diverse crowd, cheerful, relaxed but efficient and hard working staff. Well done guys!
A. B.
Very pleasant staff good food thanks
Y. I.
I went there for dinner yesterday, they looked very busy, I feel they should probably hire more people. The customer service was good, although I had to wait a long time for my dessert after I'd ordered it. 1 criticism, they put me on a table for 4 people, when there was only 1 of me, too close to the bar, where it was dark and dingy. When they had lots of tables where there was more light.
S. d. m.
nice place, very quiet maybe because it's Wednesday, clean, staff friendly and prepared to suggest drinks wheel chair friendly parking available specially in Newham where pubs are to disappear
M. C.
There was a few things missing from the menu as it's changing soon. The staff were very helpful and sorted out access for the wife's wheelchair.
R. P.
Very nice food. Took a bit of time to get served, even though half empty.
Delicious food and dessert.
A. D.
Services is very good there but Sunday carvery use to be the before but since you don't see the meat slice is all done in the kitchen and beef and is is like Rubber and the roast potatoes are frozen out of a packet and the have put the price up I will not go back there until it goes back the way it was A Davies
I. A.
5 stars for Mandy thank for looking after us well at breakfast! Unfortunately anyone we had after that were just not quite as welcoming or attentive, nevermind though we still had a good time.
S. J.
Great service here, the carvery is good too.
M. B.
Good service good food. Will be going again. Thanks 😊👍
R. C.
This has a pleasant pub feel but the experience is rather hit-and-miss. They do get very busy here at times which often means the staff are under a lot of pressure. On occasions there will be a shining star on others grumpy and with bad attitude. Used to come here quite frequently. Not so much now. Food is not bad but cheap and cheerful. The interior is in much need of refurbishment though.
J. M.
Today I visited Brewers Winsor house. I would certainly recommend this place. Family friendly. Food tastes really nice. I had the Sunday roast the chef Adam was extremely friendly and happy to help. 2 of the staff/managers was absolutely amazing extremely helpful made me and my partner feel extremely welcome. Irina and Billy have made my Visit outstanding and I would certainly be returning. Never ever expect such amazing service. Thank you to an amazing team!
C. C.
Clean, friendly and welcoming. The menu has lots of delicious offers and tastes really pleasant. The prices are also affordable, especially after noticing family meals can be very attractive and good value for money. I find that location very suitable for the option to park at Asda right opposite for free....possibly parking for a maximum of 3 hours. Very good
R. W.
It wasn't that busy on friday at 3pm, but around 4pm, many more people started to come in. The food was good but ordering in paying groups isn't a good idea as the food all come at different times even after ordering immediately after and they knew we was all on the 1 table. The food was alright and cooked well. The bar staff were really nice too. The place was clean and tidy.
N.
Service was fast but the food was lacking. I had the new Yorker with dirty fries, the burger was well presented but sadly it lacked any real flavour and you could tell that it is a shop bought burger with some lettuce and burger sauce!
The saving grace however is the dirty fries, potato skin fires with chunks of bacon and red onion drizzled in a lovely BBQ sauce.
The cost wasnt bad either.
C. M.
Delicious food, staff exceptionally helpful. Highly recommend.
M. M.
Excellent, the steak was cooked to perfection, the staff were absolutely great, especially the girl who served our table, most friendly and helpful, she should get a pay raise. The girl on reception was so nice, smiling all the time. We were there on Wednesday Jan 30th and it was quite busy.
L. W.
Friendly staff nice beer had a nice time(first time visiting) will be back...;)
G. C.
Went for a family meal of 9 yesterday. First of all I must say this place does not have Air conditioning which felt like a sauna throughout the entire place. The food was ordered separately and we waited around 20-30 mins for our orders which in my opinion was quite quick for the amount we ordered. I l, myself had the Mixed Grill which was very nice the only thing I could say is that the Steak was to chewy for medium cooked. In my opinion, there is not enough bar staff for the demand that was there on my visit but they have plenty of Waitresses. So at least the food was coming out okay. Staff here are polite and friendly which is always a bonus. Toilets on site as expected, decent sized car park and a play area for the little ones. I would come back here again but would recommend budgeting for a air con. Good budgetable menu also. So would still recommend.
C. J.
Apart from the odd lick of paint (and the removal of the indoor play area, shame) this place hasn't really changed in the 20 odd years I've known it. The food is decent, it's noisy and your kids can run around until they pass out from exhaustion, what more could you want. Just don't expect a quiet evening.
p. a.
Food was very good we will be going back very soon
A. R.
Can't go more tha 3 stars really. Service is okay, some nights it seems understaffed and the food is hit and miss. By this I mean that some times you may get a meal with small portions and other times you may get a good portion. Last visit I ordered a rib eye steak to be cooked medium, but it came out well done. Sometimes it's tricky to get a table in a nice part of the restaurant so book ahead if your going at peak times. Overall it's ok though.
S. H.
Good food and selection of drinks
M. S.
Really nice place, good food, decent prices but you have to order at the bar.
S. P.
Has decently priced pub food, large portions and a good selection of food and drink, including a good variety of gluten free options. I just wish there were more gluten free and vegan options, as almost all the options include cheese or meat of some kind.
The free refills on soft drinks are really good. There is a large selection of flavours.
j. h.
12 of us we had brilliant service good food reasonably priced
S. G.
Service we received was way beyond expectations. Food was lovely as usual and staff were friendly & went out of their way to make our evening special.
W.
Food is average. But friendly staff, good decor inside. Conveniently as it's right next to Beckton DLR, or you can park for free in their car park (shared with the premier Inn), just make sure you let them know your vehicle registration.
S. N.
Wheelchair accessible but only on the car park side, majority of seating areas also wheelchair accessible and an Accessible toilet too. Food is to a reasonable standard with many alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages at decent prices. If like me you are autistic and suffer from sensory overload it's best to visit at less busy times (weekdays between 12 and 4pm).
G.
Great food, Sunday roast not to be missed, well priced.
J. C.
Good value food and lovely friendly staff.
J. H.
Busy place on a Saturday night, but the staff were friendly and welcoming and the service prompt. I had the lamb shank, not bad. More expensive menu than I thought it would be, but I suppose that's London prices. Somewhere like wagamamas is probably cheaper. You can park for free in their car park (shared with the premier Inn), just make sure you enter your vehicle registration in the consul when you go in to the bar area.
S. J.
Great food can recommend.
K. M.
Food was a hour to arrive after complaining at the wait as others that arrived after us were served first then when it turned up it was reheated, rubbery & 1 mouthful was disgusting to eat so spoke to the manage & walked out promising never to return
P. E. B.
The food and staff and good. We went there last night 1st June. We ordered steak which was nice, but we couldn't get out of there quick enough, the restaurant was so uncomfortably hot, the sun was coming through the window behind me making me feel sick from the heat. There are no blinds to pull down.everyone was fanning themselves with the menus. It totally spoilt our evening. Pat
J. S.
The burger was a bit dry and nobody was behind the bar for taking orders for at least 10 mins. The ladies toilets not obvious but there are signs for the mens & disabled ones and they were smelly
P. S.
Ok, but many menu items were not available.
M. 6.
The carvery was fantastic, my only criticism is that i was advised to book a table as Sundays are busy, which I did and on arrival there was no record of my booking. However i was accomodated. The staff i interacted with were friendly and welcoming. Would have been 5stars if it wasn't for the booking issue.
A. A.
Delicious food and menu with a lot of options. Fast bar service and good prices. Table service, though, was very slow and nobody cleared our table, so we had to do it ourselves and there were too many drunk people in the evening even on a Wednesday night
S. S.
Really good food and really nice people
P. M.
We love Winsor House, the menu has a good range of choices, the staff are friendly, service is quick. Also kids like the outdoor playground. Sometimes it could get very busy and things can get messed up, otherwise we always enjoy coming here.
G. B.
We have been here about 6-7 times and we love it. All the staff are so pleasant and helpful. Food is gorgeous everytime we have been. They take pride in there food. Going back new years day. Great place to go with kids too
N. W.
The food was good, but the place seemd a bit dirty. Also it wasn't really clear that you need to order at the counter and the staff was not particulary polite or helpful. The meal was good though and since there is not much choice to eat out in the area I must recommend. Also there is a lovely playground for children on the back.
K. M.
Had a half barbecue chicken dinner and it was delicious!!! Spent my time there with my family before I leave for Canada the next day. Will be coming back on my next trip to the UK. Good job! Great staff!!
a.
Mandy our server welcomed us in. She was there last Monday when we came in for the fist time. She was lovely this time around coming to remind us about registering the parking! Service!
G. N.
Not been here since lockdown, now operating within the guidelines with waitress/waiter service which I personally think is better. Not a full menu but a fair choice, good size portions and with the deal of 50% paid by Boris, bargain 👏🏻👏🏻
C. T.
It's nice and cheap here with good food served but be warned if your getting steak please ask for it to be piping hit when it comes out. A few times we have had to ask for them to cook it again as we have it medium but it was like warm and cooked alot more then medium so I think it was cooked and left on the side Until the waiter picked it up and brought it to us so that's why it was cooked more than it should of been
R. M.
The food is great for the price, the beer is well kept, but getting served is seriously disappointing. It's not the staff, they're grafters and work hard, the problem is there's not enough of them. On our recent visit, young Jack was a star.
k. r.
Even though it was Christmas Eve. food was good. Didn't have to wait long staff were good. Haven't been in there for a while so was impressed
T. A.
Breakfast with the girl's, is always a good morning and made better by having a good breakfast, at a good price.
Lots to choose from and very happy and happy staff. Can't wait to have our ladies Christmas lunch at the Windsor. Keep up the good work 😆
J. L.
Much of the food poor. Staff ok.
R. B.
Ok pub. Average food. Staff frienfly but regularly short of staff. They take long to clean the tables. Outside garden to drink but can't take meals there other than crisps. Water always low in pressure in the dated toilets. Could do with a revamp.
t. a.
Had a lovely afternoon / evening with family and friends @ Winsor House. The food was good, staff were friendly and couldn't of asked for better company. Would definitely eat and drink here again.
Y. E.
Calm place but needs some more attention to the interior design .... food is good drinks aren't that expensive which is good
P.
The food was decent and the dessert was great - brownie and ice cream. However my order was mixed up more than once and had to wait for ages to finally get my meal
E. T.
Helpful and friendly staff, food is cheap with large portions. They have the cool American drinks machine with the different flavours of pepsi etc. Lots of offers if you sign up to their website especially for your birthdays etc. They don't offer takeaway boxes though, bring your own haha!
s. w.
Great. Always a good friendly service. Pleasant atmosphere. More like a local pub than an anonymous chain stop-off. Good food, plenty of space with family atmosphere.
j. m.
Best fish and chips.. very friendly environment.. kids and family friendly
D. C.
This place has the most amazing food. The cook, Vincent, is really skilled and he loves food and cookery. I was talking to him for ages while he was working. It's a treat to meet someone who cares about their job. I had the special all you can eat chef nights several times while I was staying in the area. They were all great. I will be being able to have the Piri Piri night now I'm not nearby.
e. l.
Not as nice didn't rate it this time
K. M.
Friendly staff fair prices food and drink
J. M.
Always good food
And friendly staff to look after you.
W. C.
Me and my family love this place. Great service. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere for all the family young and old
T. H.
Had breakfast and an evening meal over the weekend 6-8 April 18. Served on both occasions by Caroline, lovely girl, friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble. Definitely recommend this place and will stay here again. Thank you.
L. P.
What a lovely place! The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is wonderful! The staff was happy and helpful. I will be returning to try more out! Must check!
L. K.
Food was nice ,but took forever to bring it and drinks and they was only 1 other table there
J. M.
Chain pub, restaurant. Had a good steak and wait wasnt too long. Lots of free parking by entering reg details on arrival
R. B. N. L.
Generally good. It was a bit cold but they turned on the heat for us. No blueberry muffins as advertised. These are small things but prevent 5 stars
K. S.
The pub has a really good Sunday lunch menu - the Sunday roast carvery is excellent value for money and very tasty! The staff were very friendly and the service was very good.
G. L.
Great place, fun friendly and very secure. Great place for a family meal or a drink with the mates. Male toilets very smelly, though it was the hottest day of the year it was enough to force me to go back to my room to use the bathroom.
W. V.
For some reasons the service was slow and it felt like I was being ignored , but for that we had free drinks to make up for it.
M. V.
Pleasent bar staff and food service staff all worked with a smile on there faces.
Type of food served was very reasonbly priced had a good experience.
A. C.
We have great memories of going there when we lived in london had 70th birthday celebration and the staff was fantastic they put all the ballons and banners up and made it a great evening would recommend it for a good unexspensive evening.
C. M.
Great staff that aren't sufficient in numbers to serve the volume of customers there.
We had decided to become regular guests at Bekton Premier Inn as we visit London several times a year. But we're going back to using the Excel Premier Inn. It's more expensive, but worth the difference.
G. B.
Food wasn't cooked veg was rock hard n was cold plus 40 minutes the prices are shocking for such filth served the waitress was very rude ear wigging on myself n boyfriend conversation asking a try u got your watch from where the drinks were served in glasses with lipstick on never again horrible food surroundings are nice shame about service and food
D. M.
Tired environment but food okay. Nice meals at a reasonable price especially if eating during the week before 6pm.
J. O.
If you're staying near the Excel Center, this is a decent walk to get away from the convention center.
Nothing too great in terms of food, standard pub fare. Inexpensive. Staff was great, especially helpful in quieting down some loud kids at a nearby table.
m. w. j.
The time taken to be served and for food to be served is appalling. I have given this place 3 stars because the food was good but the service wasn't. The portions are also small.
E. W.
Food was ok slightly over cooked good value for money quick service friendly staff would recommend more for the carvery
J. B.
Premier Inn breakfast. Food was nice, staff didn't show us where it was though and wasn't very friendly. Also £7.50 for a crossiant, apple and a coffee is steep.
m. s.
Simple but good food. Not that expensive and worth a visit when your around. The big room was bit cold due to a broken heater.
Z. G.
Good Staff, need to get more involved with the customers. Food is good but can take a long time and management need to look at working with staff more as this in return will return better attitude and performance.
J. C.
Nice food
J. S.
Staff doing table service now so no queuing at bar to place orders and get drinks. Service good, Covid measures in place
M. H.
I'm sorry I didn't write the piece about this lovely pub after we all later laid to rest our mother who is sadly passed away a year ago this year so far it was a really poignant funeral myself and my family we all got treated well and had a good meal I will recommend anyone who is going in a funeral or want to have a good meal to go to your beautiful pub the staff looked after as well and have very good outside seating specially and a nice summer day a year ago not in the winter I personally would like to come back to your lovely pub and have an another good meal and coffee and cake I didn't not have a cake a year ago also your beers of very lovely and I enjoyed my cider I think it was side up I'm not sure we will all looked after well though and thanks again
K. A.
These stars are for a young lady called naedine. She was extremely helpful and very friendly.
I'm writing this review hoping she gets some sort of reward for her excellent customer service.
Thanks naedine x
a. a.
Slow service but staff were very busy polite staff
C. C.
Well as a disabled persons l was shocked to find out that I would have to pay for parking if l stayed longer than my free allowance, I wouldn't mind BUT it was £8 so l left my friends an went home spoilt my night out and l don't have many of them.
L. S.
Meals were great filled us all up, great service, definitely come back
S. S.

C. K.
Nice place to stop for a bite to eat, food is ok, staff are always very friendly and do try their best to cater for your needs, the only drawback is not much options for someone who is a vegan now.
P. S.
Friendly staff, nice food.
S. B.
It's ok for a meet and chat nice enough good but portions have got very small potatos are as they say "cheap as chips" obviously not in this place
J. S.

S. F.
Very good spot for some fast and decent quality food. Good prices. Day deal is great.
T. F.
We had great value tasty meals, served by pleasant, helpful staff. Well worth a visit.
D. M.
The guy behind the bar was virtually running it alone.... doing a great job too. Get that man a pay rise!! Food was ok... prices were pretty standard.
L. H.
Food okay, most of the staff friendly (1 exception!), atmosphere tired and dated, needs modernisation badly. Disabled loo a complete disgrace.
D. S.
Bathrooms are filthy they say they clean it but I don't think they do food service is always late sometimes hair in food but they are changing or in July to some thing much more can't wait to see my advice for no2 is stay out it made my one of my children puck
C. W.
Mediocre. Food, service, decor and cleanliness are all mediocre. Looks like management have spent the bare minimum to keep the place running.
T. E.
Waited ages to be served half of our table waited ages for food, i was finished mt food vefore theirs came out, in the end we cancelled deserts. Fish and chips wes nice
M. k.
Not a local yet nice enough pub to go in once in a blue moon for quiet drink

If Whiteread was to provide more staff on duty this place could be a gold mine. I have spent several days here for meetings and have watched the staff run ragged....they are a great bunch, friendly and helpful...on a good day this place can't be faulted.

Had the Sunday carvery which was really good. Trouble with this place tho is lack of staff leading to slow service at bar & disgusting, filthy toilets.
S. F.

J. J.
Not enough staff behind the bar as usual especially when they have to stop what they are doing to unlock baby toilets and there were so many reserved tables we had to complain just to get a seat.the table we did get was broken and the Top was loose so moved to a slightly better one having cleared the glasses off it first.the Roast section didn't look very appealing either.and the Becks beer had run out not the best start to a Xmas season.
D. W.
