We enjoyed our food. We got a take away 2 weeks ago. Food tasted fresh. I really liked the poached king prawns with shell on. Different from what I've had from chinese before. The pork spring rolls and veg rolls were really nice too. In fact my children and I were very hungry and we ate the pork and vegetarian spring rolls while walking home. The young man who served me and my children was very knowledgeable on allergies and what was in the food. He also advised me on what was safe for us in chinese food generally when eating out. Good level of food is one thing but for allergy sufferers knowledge and saftey measures are a must. I wish all food outlets had someone who has this level of knowledge when serving the public. To sum it up great service and lovely food and will be returning. Unfortunately I do not know the name of the man who served us but I hope to be served by this man next time. I really would like him to get the recognition he deserves so if Woo Lot are reading reviews then your man is tall . Probably the tallest member of staff , oriental, young looked about 20, sounds British born if that helps.

IMO, the quality has dropped. It was the standard Chinese food you could get anywhere. I judge a takeaway Chinese restaurant by the quality of its Singapore Vermicelli...it was left wanting. Sorry Woo Lot...bu have done, and can do better. We'll try back again on 6 months.

This place has been the only Chinese take away my family has ordered since I was fairly young and 15 years later they have not changed, that's a good thing because the food is amazing! I would actually rate the food higher as I've enjoyed it everytime I've been in. Definitely the best in the area. However the main Waiter had such a horrible attitude it really should be addressed. He is just awful and I would never normally go back to a restaurant where we are treated with actual contempt!! But Hubby loves the food so I grin and bear it for him. This guy makes you feel so akward the second you enter the place, barely looks at you as you give your order and then walks away without even a smile or even a look in your direction. I thought it was just us, but I watch him and his is like this with almost everyone except his regular customers who he hugs and fawns over which is also weird! Anyway, food is great!!

Excellent Chinese cafe/restaurant for a 'fast food' sit down or takeaway. Food is cooked in an open kitchen so you can see it being done. Good choice of the standard Chinese menu items at a reasonable price. Quite popular but you rarely wait long to be served as the chef's are quick whether you are sitting or taking away. Food is always tasty in good sized portions.

We like woo lot and will seek them out over and above other fast food Chinese restaurants. Their food is tasty and portions are reasonable (although when we first ordered from them some 15 yrs ago the portions were truly generous) and the service is quick. We tend to phone through orders and pick up to reduce waiting time.

We’ve been visiting this restaurant for over 15 years. Their portion sizes are immense and the meals are very reasonably priced. It’s a friendly, traditional restaurant with a community vibe. Whenever we drive into London I’m tempted to come back!

Absolutely love this place. After moving to Leyton from Hackney, I’ve been extremely disappointed with the standard of takeaway, until I discovered this gem on Lea bridge road. Wow. What valwoo for money. Spring rolls; handmade & delicious, salt chilli ribs; full of flavour, pork dumplings; packed with taste, rice; clean tasting & (not like that greasy brown overcooked poo you get at most places), hot & sour soup; brimming with Chinese mushrooms & juicy meat, chicken ho fan; wonderful noodles with that delicious char flavour, meat was tender & fresh (not like the slippery cornstarched rubber that a lot of restaurants try & palm off) MaPo Tofu; they use actual beef slithers instead of mince, delightful. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Best restaurant to date that I have been to. I go here every month or so with my sister after visiting the cinema in Walthamstow. All their dishes are great, haven’t had one that is bad yet. Sweet sour chicken is my favourite and my sister always gets beef with bean sauce. (They also do take away but I wouldn’t recommend it you get more food if you eat in for less.) Either way the quality of the food doesn’t change whether it’s take away or eating in. The view isn’t great but the food is delicious.

Hell yes, had the most tasty pork in black bean sauce, non greasy deep fried king prawns, fluffy king prawns omelettes. Super fast from order to collect, just the time to sit down look around and they called my number. That's what I call being efficient. Very recommended.

Massive portions for less than average prices. I can't think of any take away or restaurant that does this. Service is very fast. Food is delicious. No BS type of service - you pay you eat then out of the door. If you eat in you pay first but there is no service charge. There are always customers there. Only complaint I guess is if you eat inside it is rather hot. Not very well ventilated place.

Pretty good food. Extremely quick service. You may be able to find better quality food elsewhere (although it would be tough), but not much better, especially considering the price and portion quantities (they literally fill the plate / stuff the food in to the containers as much as possible). Staff are pretty friendly and helpful. Offer both takeaway and eat-in at the restaurant. According to my girlfriend the vegetarian options are excellent also and she was much impressed. Recommended.

Any alternative suggestions are welcome but you need to reccommend something pretty special to beat this place, consistently good, always fresh and perfectly cooked ? This is one of the best restaurants in the borough and the food is always first rate. The hot and sour soup blends fire with a rich deep flavour that just has to be tasted. Those who have dined with me say that the Won Ton soup is equally good, and I can vouch for the excellence of their main course soup noodle selection personally. I think their salt and pepper squid better than anything served by the local competition, as it is always crunchy on the outside, chewy in the middle and tastes so good that friends who 'don't like squid' are won over. Excellent too is the barbecue pork, lemon chicken, crispy duck, Singapore noodles and other staples of Chinese food. As usual, my vegan side has to remain thwarted on every visit, but this place is one of the main reasons why I will NEVER give up meat. Only one whinge - the friends who regularly join me here always drink cola with their food, and I can't persuade them to ditch that bilge water for Jasmine tea. Still, that's not Woo Lot's fault but if you do visit make sure that you can appreciate the food and DITCH THE COLA

This restaurant is absolutely Disgusting If you eat in this place you’re taking a serious risk for your health .... I’ve heard loads of stories about this.. and I had stopped eating at this restaurant for a long time because I felt that something is wrong but today is the day I knew I was right 😫😭 These people are disgusting they use stale chicken and put it in chlorine and re-cook it and serve it back to you as if it’s fresh. At 8.30pm 21st October 2018 I bought vegetable chow mein noodle, King prawn fried, rice fried chicken balls and vegetable spring rolls I ate very little portion of all of the dishes due to me feeling unwell but still I had finished mmajority and left 2 chicken balls and wanted to give my dog a little bit To my surprise ... my dog was just about to eat the fried chicken ball and I said to her no princess wait just as she was going eat it I caught a big Maggot alive crawling out from the chicken fried ball There is truly something off about this Chinese restaurant and still in shock When I asked for my money back with my receipt the man refused to give it to me with the receipt. I’m not making this up... I have a video and pictures to prove it WOO LOT Chinese NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN Call environmental health ASAP 🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮 no more STREET FOOD FOR ME period.
