Reviews of Yipin China
P. L.
Excellent Chinese restaurant that specialises in Hunanese food, but also has specialties from other regions. Food tastes as good as in China, as the large numbers of Chinese people who eat there attests. Highly recommended
h. s.
It’s a cozy place with friendly service and great Chinese food! It’s our first time there. Price is reasonable and the food can be even more spicy. If they can add hot pot option it would be great. Can’t wait to go back!
T. B.
Best Chinese food in the UK
The food was amazing and fast
Was very flavourful and big portions
I. W.
The special chicken pot is amazing with tofu.
K. L.
Service is quite good, thanks for the great and kind service.
However, the food is just plain, it does not reflect the Michelin rankings 2017/Michelin guide 2018, which is a pity. I could give 4 stars but considering its current 4.5 stars are way over the food taste, as I Chinese food lover and a consumer I have to use my score to balance it.
P. T.
The food is good and authentic but It just took so long for our food to be ready. We only ordered a plate of fried rice and a plate of spicy frog meat…so that made two dishes…and we ended up waiting for over 40 mins to get food.
K. A.
The food at Yipin is of very high standard. They have a substantial menu that has a lot the different styles of Chinese cooking and all the ones I've tried are very flavourful. I'm a big fan of spicy food and they were able to accommodate me. I ordered fish dishes, chicken and beef and each time the food has been really good. My favourite dish so far was the sea bass which really hit the spot.
Trying to decide what to have takes me some time. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are professional. The aroma of great food fill I find this a good place to have lunch or an evening meal as I've had both here and wasn't disappointed. I can't recommend the food here enough and they do take away food as well which is a welcome bonus.
R. C.
To start with, food here is incredible and staffs are always very welcoming and attentive.
J. W.
Delicious Hunanese dishes. Most dishes have a bit of spice.
A.
Loved the offal and kung pao prawns - exceptional dishes
M. M.
Certainly one of or if not the best Chinese restaurant in North London. Great selection of Hunan and Sichuan classics with great heat levels to match.
Yipin China is well worth travelling across town for. Very very highly recommend.
v. T.
Nice restaurant. Haven been to this place for about 7-8 months, never let me down. Very authentic taste, dishes looks small when they serve. But actually is more than enough for 2 pax. Recommend to reserve a table in advance, as it will be busy in the eveining/weekend.
M. M.
The chairman Mao pork is delicious along with the Shanghai dumplings and the wok dry prawns but avoid the gong bao chicken
A. M. M.
Best Chinese food in London!
Every single thing from the menu is extremely tasty!
We were a group of 10 people and we order different dishes... EVERY SINGLE ONE was DELICIOUS. We even ask for couple of dishes without meat for some vegetarians and no regret.
The most simple dish we ordered, just spinach was incredible.
Go and try before gets packed!
J. W.
Delicious Hunanese dishes. Most dishes have a bit of spice.
A. R.
Although I've never been to the Hunan or Sichuan provinces, the food here seems pretty authentic to those regional cuisines and not at all like Anglo Chinese takeaway food. Spicy and delicious in a relaxed setting.
M. S.
Amazing food. Good service. However the place is not nice, very basic and a bit run down.
J. C.
Absolutely delicious food speedy and attentive service our family were very much enjoyed.
S. C.
The only authentic Chinese food place I have found in London! Very reasonably priced and tasty dishes. I used to frequent this place quite often when I lived in Islington. I would recommend booking a table and ordering a few dished to share so you can try different dishes.
R. C.
To start with, food here is incredible and staffs are always very welcoming and attentive.
D. Y.
Best spicy food I've ever had outside of China service was just wonderful
J. W.
Recommended by many friends and finally gave it a try. I only realised that they have won the Michelin Award for two consecutive years when I arrived on the day of my booking. The foods taste unbelievable, and servers were friendly and welcoming enough definitely deserved the award. We would definitely keep coming back!!
C. S.
Ordered on Deliveroo, food was great. Perfect portion size and tasty.
K. S.
Try the stir fry water spinach for a fresh crunchy oriental veg classic.
A.
Loved the offal and kung pao prawns - exceptional dishes
L. G.
On of the very best Chinese restaurant in London. You can find specialties from many places and all of them being authentic.
This restaurant is named in the Michelin Guide and definitely deserves it!
Please go and enjoy all those delicacies and if you keep some spare space, treat yourself with Chinese desserts and be stunned by the originality!
Have fun and bon appétit!
P. Z.
As you can see guys, the dishes are truly amazing. I can’t find enough words to express my surprise when I try this restaurant. It’s perfect for friends to have a dine party( I reserved the biggest table in advance,) Reasonable price and very friendly service, by the way
S. L.
Hands down, one of the best Chinese restaurants in London. Everything we had was delicious. Looking forward to the pigs knuckles with green chili on my next visit. I want to try everything! The spare ribs are a must. Mutton skewers are spiced with green chili and cumin.. Delicious. The crisy squid and the crispy belly pork were cooked to perfection, they literally melted in our mouths. Thank you and compliments to the chef!
E. H.
Excellent selection of very authentic and very tasty dishes from Hunan and other regions of China. Proper home-cooked food. Would definitely recommend.
T. D.
Very informal and simple appearance but some really excellent Chinese cooking, often using ingredients common in China but rare here. We had crunchy lotus root, dofu skin and beautiful spicy black mushrooms, pickled green beans and more, each dish balanced and interesting with characteristic Chinese regard for texture. The lucky locals drop in for takeaways but we were just passing, will certainly return.
G. D.
One of the best and finest Chinese Restaurants in London, that's no doubt about this.
Went there for a colleague's farewell party last Tuesday, the food was really really good, it was fresh and tasted delicious and NOT oily. The menu has photos for each dish and that helped us choose our dishes greatly.
We all had a great evening, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Definitely be going back soon, highly recommend to anyone who loves Chinese food
A. G.
A really good meal. I had the crispy aromatic duck and it was excellent. In a sea of Burrito joints and Vietnamese street food places it was nice to stumble on this place. I highly recommend it if you’re in the mood for no nonsense Chinese food.
A. G.
Awesome authentic Chinese with a diverse menu split into regional cuisines. I highly recommend the soft shell crab, tofu and pork belly and the pigs knuckle. Really couldn't rate this place enough, excellent service and fantastic food especially if you're of a more adventurous pursuasion.
C. K.
Go with friends and make sure you're hungry as the menu us extensive, covering items from octopus, to pork belly in winter vegetables and twice cooked duck. Lots of dishes you wouldn't get at a mainstream restaurant. The food is super spicy but I love it, will be back again!
A. V.
Excellent food and service but the lack of curtains or tablecloths or other soft furnishings meant the acoustics were harsh and we had to move as we were near a noisy table of ten and couldn't hear ourselves think with their braying and laughter
So we moved and had the best Chinese meal I have ever had outside Chinatown - we all loved it
£30 pounds per head including wine and service
They said that they were fully booked for the Chinese New Year tomorrow. Not surprised as the diners were about fifty percent Chinese.
A great restaurant but maybe my vegan son who was not with us wouldn't agree
Highly recommended
P. M.
Ive been cycling past this restaurant's unassuming frontage for many years and how I regret that now. We tried four very different dishes and every one was absolutely fantastic. No frills decor and location but not your average UK Chinese when it comes to the variety of dishes. I'm a new regular.
C. M.
Fantastic food. Lovely service. Ambience so so. Restaurant could do with tablecloths to absorb sound and add to sense of occasion. Can feel special in a group of four or more, but for two it's more casual night than special occasion unless you're real foodies. And the food is so good. The fungi is superb - may look a little alarming but it's gorgeous. Sad the loofah no longer on the menu as they were very special.
T. L.
I’ve been looking for a good Chinese spot in London and a friend recommended Yipin. Glad we went! There is a wide selection of dishes from different regions and appreciate the friendly service.
M. L.
Love this place. I've been coming here for years, food is great. Over the years I probably had every item on the menu :-)
It's a must for all my family and friends visiting me.
My favorite restaurant in London.
3. r.
We're regulars at this Chinese restaurant which has some interesting regional dishes. beware there is often a lot of chili. The food is really excellent quality and the staff are delightful and friendly. They also do takeaways which are several rungs above your average Chinese restaurant takeaway.
M.
Best hunanese / schezwan I've had outside of China ! Tasty traditional dishes and clean dining room. I've lived in the neighborhood for 4 years and only just found this gem ! Will be back !!
D. M.
Absolutely delicious!!! So authentic... It is right up there with the best Chinese food I have ever had. If you like spicy food then this is the place you won't be disappointed.
Service was good and efficient.
Some tips, go for the food in the Hunanese sections and the hot pots!!!!
华.
Nice food,nice restaurant,nice environment
K. H. M.
It's OK. Food is good. A bit on the pricier side with service charge on top. Looks like it used to be a pub. The atmosphere is quiet (no music) and the interior quite plain. The main entrance is tiny and has steps (with door swinging in too!) so if you have a pram, push chair etc. it will be a bit of a struggle.
E. B.
The best authentic Chinese in North London. Great menu, superb friendly staff but you need to get in there before 10pm as its very quiet and a bit less intimate. But strongly recommend. 10/10.
y. w.
Yipin China is not on the list of top Chinese restaurants in London, but it is absolutely a hidden gem. I am so glad that I discovered it following a friend’s recommendation. Don’t let the modest setting deceive you – the food quality there is absolutely second to none. The drawback is that it only has a small selection of dishes, specialising in a small subset (called Hunan style?) of Chinese cuisine, so some of your favourite Chinese dishes may not be on their menu. But again, this is a sign of quality to me as I don’t believe chefs who can do multiple-cuisines.
While food quality impresses, the food quantity does put me off slightly. I am a medium-sized man, and I find one dish can only fill 60-70% of my stomach. Of course, health professional would recommend not to eat till you are 100% full, but sometimes I want to indulge and have a feast with my mates, then we have to order 2 dishes each – taking the cost of dinning in Yipin china to about 20 quid each (inclusive of drinks). So I want to give Yipin china 4.5 stars, but google won’t let me do half star. Since I am in a good mood today, I will give it 5 star – purely for its authentic Chinese food J
Z. M.
Come and try this place. It's truly worthy. Most delicious Chinese food I've ever had. I loved this place. I have never felt this seriously. I could't stop eating even thought I was full. :) Five star *****
J. P.
Very authentic Chinese dishes. What ever you love: spicy, vegetarian, stew, stir fry, fried, hot pot, noodles, rice, authentic Chinese desserts, you can find it here. They have dishes from Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Guangdong and some other provinces in China. The restaurant is very quiet, not many people will actually visit it as lots of them prefer to order take away from the restaurant, which benefit the people who actually visit. Perfect service, relaxed atmosphere, worth more than one visit.
C. Z.
I’ve been coming here for ages and it’s still good even though it’s changed hands. Gong bao prawns are a must, the sea bass soup with pickled mustard greens is meaty and great (but often needs more vinegar), and cabbage stir fried with chilli and vinegar and fish fragrant aubergines are both also awesome. If you order the fragrant chicken in a pile of chillies, FOR GODS SAKE DON’T EAT THE CHILLIES. The dining room is austere...you wouldn’t come here for the decor. And frankly, there are other better Sichuan places in Soho...but you’ll pay 30% more, but here you get Hunanese and Cantonese choices. Best local ever.
M. Z.
Pass by found this clean and very authentic spicy Chinese restaurant..many options....great serve and quick. Had a good meal here. Highly recommend it if you love Chinese spicy foods.
S. H.
I really like Chinese food and that's the main reason why keep coming here almost every week. The menu is fairly extensive so there's something for everyone's taste. All dishes are reasonably priced which is always a big plus.
Definitely recommend this place.
P. S.
Extremely tasty. The only downside (if you can call it that) is trying to choose what to get from such a huge menu! BYOB would be a handy perk too
S. Z.
No-fuss authentic Chinese restaurant with Hunan, Szechuan and Cantonese cuisine on offer. Definitely a few notches up from your greasy takeaway but nothing fancy. The menu has photos of all dishes. Some delicious dishes (dry wok chicken, beef with peppers) and some only so-so (twice cooked duck). Walk-ins should be able to find a table, takeaway is quick. Wish they were available on Uber Eats/Deliveroo
C. A.
I never write reviews, but I have to step in and voice my opinion. This is by far the best chinese restraunt + food I have ever encountered, the food was rich with flavour and litrally could not stop making sound effects throughout my whole meal.
I'm a student and went to the restraunt with a group of friends for lunch there was 3 of us we ordered 3 different types of noodles, fried greens sweet and sour chicken and a 1/4 roast duck which was to die for.
London does not tend to cook roast duck like this it was so crispy yet so juicy and full of flavour.. walked away feeling so happy! Lol
Roast duck is a must!!!! It was so good I wanted to go back for dinner! Defo a must here cannot understand why they have had bad reviews I had loads of dishes and we paid 13.00 each the 5 of us and the food arrived withing 10mins since ordering.
J. R.
Spicy stuff :)
Some very... interesting... meat on the menu if you're a slightly squeamish white guy, but one can just avoid those dishes. Certainly can't fault the liberal inclusion of tasty chillies. Good spicy Chinese food.
R. C.
I grew up in Asia and Yipn China is the most authentic Asian cuisine I've had since living there.
The restaurant it's self is very modest and nothing much to admire from the outside... But the food is out of this world.
M. S.
大盆花菜超好吃😋 Authentic Chinese food, really good!!
Y. S.
All of the meat dishes we had were a bit too oily to enjoy. The tofu with salted duck egg was alright, but by the end of the night we were feeling somewhat sick from all the grease.
C. P.
Although not the best looking restaurant in Islington the menu was excellent and authentic , the staff were attentive and the place was pleasantly filled with locals (Chinese and of other origins). We did not have to wait for our food (2 people) and it tasted excellent. the portions were a decent size. we walked away satisfied.
A. D.
Absolutely delicious! I've been there many times, very authentic Szechuan food - huge fan!
L. M.
Food is ok, many dishes quite consistently ok. Website says it closes at 11pm but they kicked us out at 9.45pm, so don't expect any service.
Edit: went back a few times, and a lot of dishes are actually very good, and service was way better. Hot and numbing boneless chicken is a must.
M. S.
The food it’s amazing. The service was good, big portions. They have many options. One of my favorite Chinese restaurant.
Y. A.
You can enjoy quite authentic spicy Sichuan Chinese dishes such as fried chicken bits with red chilli, Fish in the spicy oil. Non-Sichuan Cantonese or other dishes such as sweet and sour pork are nice too.
S. O.
This is the only place in London I can get some of the dishes I long for from mother China.
Although the inside of this place, just off upper street is pretty ordinary, (leather back chairs that look like they were dragged from the owners dining room and nothing adorning the walls but out of date Chinese calendars), the food more than makes up for the lack of atmosphere.
Don't walk away without having the gong boa prawns, ma pou doufu or yu xiang rou si (fish spiced pork slithers - better than it sounds, I promise!). They have a really great selection of food spanning from western Sichuan food to Northern Beijing dumplings.
If you're missing China or just want something that's not ordinary Cantonese gloop - this is the place for you!
A. T.
Authentic and mouth watering Hunanise/Sze Chuan cuisine and it has made to the top of our bucket list (as a sze chuan foods hunter). Worth to make such a long journey to try the restaurant. Superb. Will definitely come back when the cold weather is on its way back.
E. S.
Really nice food! Great service. Don't be surprised if some of the dishes come out from the kitchen cold! They are supposed to be like that.
A. L.
I have been eating and cooking Chinese food for years, and have visited China a number of times with the specific aim to eat well. This is one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants I've been to in the UK and couldn't recommend it highly enough. Oh and it's cheap too, which is a rarity in Angel.
K. C.
Family run restaurant so service is a little slow, but the food is worth the wait! Tasty and authentic Chinese dishes including slow braised pork belly and spicy szechuan fish head. Amazing!
F. Z.
I lived in the UK for 6 years in 5 different cities (due to my job) and I have to say Yipin China is one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants in the UK. The food is so delicious and MSG-free. However, Yipin china specialises in Hunan cuisine which is hot and spicy. If you cannot handle hot food, you can let them know so that they will reduce the chilly content in your dishes. Some people complain about their price, which I think is totally unreasonable. Yipin China locates in a very central and convenient location, of course it won't be cheap. But the food quality well deserves the price you pay.
S. T.
We ordered take-out from Yipin on Christmas Eve as we fancied a change from typical Cantonese Chinese delivery. The food quality was good (dan dan noodles were amazing), however we waited for 45 mins or more and it's not cheap. We'll try again on a less rushed day to eat in.
F. C.
Everything we ordered was served so fast and they were ALL tasty and authentic! Perfectly happy with the place :D
J. J.
Great place, friendly owners.
I come here and get the same thing every time:
Dry wok boneless chicken
Boiled pork (or beef or fish) in chilli oil
Fried cauliflower with thin pork and chilli
Steamed rice
Cannot go wrong
👌
N. P.
The food is amazing and consistent. The staff are friendly and speedy. I just keep coming back, especially for the boiled fish in sizzling oil.
L. H.
This tucked away little place is a true gem in London's Chinese food crown. They do some of the best spicy, ie Sichuanese and Hunanese cuisine I've ever had outside of China.
J.
Delicious, extensive menu, and some dishes can be quite spicy if you like it hot! The crispy duck was a great starter.
D. B.
Honestly the best Chinese restaurant I've visited in London. Extensive menu, gorgeous dishes (that go beyond the fare offered in Chinatown). The pork belly dishes are to die for.
F. R.
Tastiest and most authentic Chinese food I have had outside of China. Will definitely be returning!
K. A.
The food was good, not great. I liked how empty the restaurant was when I walked in - going to have to have early dinners (~6pm) from now on. But what irked me was the funny look I got when I asked for Chinese Tea with ice.
j. w.
Amazing flavours with the tangy, sweet and fragrant flavours of Sichuan. Reliably fantastic and a beautiful menu! Can't recommend highly enough
W.
Pretty authentic Chinese restaurant tucked away into angel. Food is pretty oily though. Service is not bad either and you get 10% off when you pay with cash.
P. R.
By far the best Chinese food I've had in the area. Impressive menu - photos of food that actually look appealing - and authentic-looking specialties. The restaurant itself isn't much to look at.
P. O.
Nice food but on cold plates. Who doesn’t warm the plates. Food was cold by half way through and as we ordered a selection of dishes to share, the start taste was good the end of taste was unpleasant.
A. W.
Hunanese style, super fresh tasty food. Perfect for sharing feast style dinners. Our favourite Chinese on London. A hidden gem!
C. S.
General Mao Pork Belly was great, A+ main & appetizer food. Dessert left a lot to be desired.
waitress a bit rude but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
W. W.
The food was perfectly fine so as the service. However I didn't feel anything stood out particularly. The decor was really tired and the restaurant empty. For its location, the restaurant have the potential to do much better...
O.
Authentic dishes, efficient service - clay-pot aubergine is my favourite! Note - they definitely don't skimp on the spices!
D. Q.
Great food, bit pricey but worth it. No atmo sphere, looks dull. But very good menu, and good for takeaways.
R. Q.
This place is excellent! Reasonable rates, large portions and the staff members are consistently welcoming.
C. K.
By far one of the best Chinese restaurants I have been to EVER. Specialised in szechuan, be mindful the food can be pretty spicy. Make sure you book as they are often busy.
O. K.
Simply great food. The service was both fast and good.
The atmosphere is good, but this is by no means an upscale place. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
A. O.
Restaurant isn't much to look at inside or out but the food is great. Proper traditional Chinese cooking done very well.
V. M.
Good food! Large portions! Will go back when I’m in a mood for some spicy Chinese!
K. T.
Really impressed with the quality of the Wunan and Sichuan cooking here. Better than the other restaurants serving similar cuisine that I've been to eg Barshu, Chili Cool, Sichuan Folk, etc.
Z. H.
Authentic cuisine serving food from a variety of regions across China. Hot and spicy dishes are great.
M. G.
Definitely one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in London and I'm from China :D Always bring my friends here and they all love it!
N. N.
Really good and quick food. Rarely full, and homely food so doesn't need reservations. Contains turn tables for family dining.
J. P.
A bit pricey, but the food is excellent. The menu is extensive, and has lots of pictures to help you decide. Also, the service is very quick.
D. Q.
The appearance is deceptive...the food here is SO GOOD, and the service is attentive and kind. Really outstanding food, great experience.
W. E.
Outstanding chinese cuisine in an unassuming venue. The waiter made some delicious recommendations. Reasonable pricing too.
t. b.
To start with the service was incredible. Everyone on the wait staff was incredibly attentive and knowledge. Sommelier recommendations we're spot on.
M. W.
Excellent food and friendly service.
T. L.
Small portions and most of the dishes are too salty or sweet. Personally, overall quality was just okay.
L. G.
Definitely worth a visit. Very generous portions and absolutely delicious.
O. M.
Finally an authentic Chinese place in London! The food is incredible, service is great. Definitely will be back.
J. F.
Delicious. Reasonable price.
P. L.
We walked in just before the kitchen closed and were served delicious food in a friendly, fast, and efficient manner. Would love to come again.
P. P.
This place is NOT your standard Chinese restaurant. Everything is made with fresh ingredients. There’s no trace of MSG or anything like that!
T. w.
We have drove past this place for years ,and have always been put off by the decor, how foolish are we, the food is amazing!! The service was quick and the food was to die for.
R. Z.
Don’t usually review but had to give 5 stars for absolutely impressed service and authentically delicious food.
C.
currently my favourite chinese in london. pork belly with salted veggies and cauliflower w pork are my favs
E. H.
Excellent Hunanese cuisine, and lovely staff. Unfussy. The focus here is on the food. Thoroughly recommended.
A. M.
I have no idea why this place was so empty when we came. The food is spectacular, the service is fast and the decor is simple but functional.
Y. L.
My friend found this place and we had a try. It's not bad and even better than those in Chinatown. I am Chinese and I think it is quite athentic.
W. H.
Great Chinese food. London's Chinatown has pretty sub par food. This is the go to place when I'm in London
G. L.
Really yummy food! Glad I found this place!

A. S.
Brilliant, authentic food served perfectly.
Would definitely recommend!
I. g.
This is possibly the best Chinese food in London, barring some of the very high end options. Truly a hidden gem.
K. H.
Decor is not fancy but great food and service. Our favourite local Chinese restaurant.
B. S.
Best Chinese restaurant in London , Food tastes unbelievable ❤️👍

u. u.
Authentic Chinese cuisine, my future in laws were impressed lol
M. M.
Some dishes are very very good but there are only a couple of chicken dishes. Check before you go
H. A.
Decent local Chinese.. poor atmosphere, but good fried rice and quick service..
G. Z.
Great authentic food, service as good as one can expect :-) Go for the homely food, not to be fussed over.
J. Z.
Quite authentic Chinese food, good service too, will be visiting again.
J. R.
Proof that it's possible to have genuinely delicious and authentic Chinese in the UK, without leaving the restaurant smeared in grease, bloated and suffering from MSG sweats.
j. s.
Fast and friendly service. The food was astounding on both occasions now. Huge portions.
c. l.
Homely and tasty Chinese food. Recommendations: Chilli oil steamed chicken
K. P.
Delicious taste of China. Take care not to over order, portions are generous.
N. D.
Excellent authentic Szechuan and hunanese food for a good price. Very pleasant and friendly staff.

Very family feel, serves both authentic chinese and the more british version, very good.

D. A.
Fantastic authentic food. Arguably better than anything in Chinatown.
s. c.
Great northern chinese food at reasonable prices and great service by staff there
D. C.
Somewhat too greasy even by Hunanese standards. Flavour profile is otherwise authentic.
D. C.
Authentic cooking, really enjoyed the Suan Dou and Sour Fish Soup.
A. P. P.
My wife lived in Singapore for 6 years and I've visited China half a dozen times. This is as close as it gets to the mainland.
G. F.
Really authentic Chinese food
j. m.
Absolutely incredible food. Can't wait to go again!

Superb and authentic Szechuan and Hunanese food. Also friendly service.

(Translated) Five-star recommendation, the first Michelin Chinese restaurant found in London, if you are looking for a Chinese restaurant with authentic taste in London, it is recommended to come here. The first time we came, although the restaurant was well-decorated, the taste of the food was indeed very good. Compared with those in Chinatown in London, the food was too tasty and the price was worthy of taste. That shrimp is really delicious! I think this is only Chinese restaurant in London is listed by Michelin 2017, if you want to try some unique authentic Chinese dish, you can try this restaurant, food is amazing!

I think this is only Chinese restaurant in London is listed by Michelin 2017, if you want to try some unique authentic Chinese dish, you can try this restaurant, food is amazing!

(Translated) Delicious Sichuan cuisine with plenty of umami. The volume per dish is large and the cospa is good. Impression that all dishes do not lose. Shrimp and scallops are delicious.

うまみたっぷりの美味しい四川料理。料理一品あたりのボリュームも多くコスパも良い。どの料理もハズレがない印象。海老やホタテがプリプリしていて美味しい。

(Translated) Small Chinese restaurant on Liverpool Road. Friendly staff, large selection of dishes. However, many dishes spicy to very spicy. If you like it, okay, if you don't, you'd better go to another restaurant. The sweet and sour sauce was only sweet and the duck, which was supposed to be mild, was spicy. It was too "hot & spicy" for us. Prices are okay.

Kleines chinesisches Restaurant in der Liverpool Road. Freundliches Personal, grosse Auswahl an Gerichten.

(Translated) Hunan cuisine tastes good, but it can’t be said to be more authentic.
Mao Xuewang is very good.
Hot dried noodles and dandan noodles are not good.

湘菜味道都不错,但说不上多正宗。
毛血旺很不错。

(Translated) It was delicious and exceeded expectations. Much better than the restaurants in Chinatown. About 25 per person. Spicy and comfortable. Sauerkraut fish has a lot of white vinegar.

很好吃,超出预期。比唐人街的餐厅好吃多了。人均25左右吧。辣的挺舒服的。酸菜鱼白醋放的有点多,干锅鱿鱼很有弹性

(Translated) Good food. Very detailed menu with photos of all the dishes. Option to go vegetarian. The bad: they took a long time to attend us and a long time to bring the food. Also, the manager is quite unfriendly.

Comida rica. Carta muy detallada con fotos de todos los platos. Opción de hacerlo vegetariano. Lo malo: tardaron mucho en atendernos y bastante en traer la comida. Además, la encargada es bastante antipática.

If Yipin is in my hometown (Foshan, Guangdong), it is still a very competitive restaruant and i will go there quiet often.
Everything here just perfect.
One of the best authentic Chinese food in London. Even if it is in my hometown (Foshan), it is definitely ranked in the local Hunan restaurant~

伦敦数一数二的地道中餐。即使放在家乡(佛山)也绝对在当地的湘菜馆里排的上号~

(Translated) Very ordinary restaurant, I was a little surprised, but Michelin’s recommendation for two consecutive years is embarrassing😅
The service is good and the dishes are good
London has not encountered a delicious spiciness😢
