Reviews of Zelman Meats

I think this place is THE place to go for halal steaks. It is quite pricey but it is definitely worth it. It is on the top floor of Harvey Nichols. We got the rib eye and sirloin and both steaks were amazing. I feel one was slightly undercooked but still edible. I would highly recommend visiting here especially if you are after halal food. Do note we got two steaks and chips, which cost us about £80. The chips were nice and big, very fluffy.

Been here 3 times in total, and I’ll definitely be going again some time soon. All their regular Canadian steaks are Halal and are of great quality. Hospitality great- staff are very accommodating and friendly. They’re introducing new mocktails very soon so I’m hoping to revisit this review.

Tasty steak meals🥩. Friendly and helpful staff. Knowledgeable about the meat and kindly went through all the steak types and where the meat comes from the animal. Halal. Top floor of Harvey Nic store. Nearest tube Knightsbridge. Good seating capacity. Aprox £50 per head, starter, main and side with drink.

Amazing food! Worth fasting for! If I didn’t fast, I don’t think I would’ve had room for dessert which was also delicious. We got the Zelman Plate for 2. Four different cuts of meat, and two sides - chips and carrots, which additional sauces - Chimichurri and BBQ. I favored the bbq sauce, not your typical bbq sauce, had a slight kick of mustard which complimented the meat perfectly. The purée on the carrots are so delicious and I highly suggest they add this to their menu as a dipping sauce. I wish the sides were a little bigger.
I’m knocking off 1 star because our waiter barely checked up on us. We interacted more with the staff that delivered our food and picked up our finished plates. They only gave us one drinking menu so I looked at the menu they had online while I let my bf go thru the physical copy - the waiter told me the menus on the site doesn’t match what was on the book and made me change my drink order. I asked for the drink menu again to check if the one I originally asked for gone and it wasn’t which is so annoying.

A very metropolitan surrounding.. with a warm restaurant. Food was absolutely amazing! Mojitos were flavourful and poured to perfection. First came the Wagyu burger. The first bite was really nice however as you dig into it further you realise its extremely heavy.. just my opinion. My wife was over the moon with it. Triple cooked fries weren’t my cup of tea as I like but once again the wife disagreed so its a matter of opinions. Them came the plate of our different cut steaks. Three letters.. w o w. Its been a little time since we had steak so this was a very pleasant surprise. Soft, cooked to perfection and dripping with meaty oils. Enough to make a vegetarian say yum. Good service also and not far away from a tea house just incase you feel like sitting back and enjoying that cuppa.

The restaurant is on the 5th floor at Harvey Nichols. It is a good choice along with Burger&Lobster if you are at Harvey.
I was in between giving 4 or 5 stars but wanted to rate it as 5 as the service is pretty good. The highlight of the restaurant is the staff .🌟They all are stars especially Valerio ( I am not 100% sure about the name - sorry for that if it is wrong ).
We went for picanha and fillet and we also had triple cooked chips and salad. I was happy with what I had. I can come back again for the food .
The only criticism is about the restaurant is the loud music.

The steaks were fine but the service was hit and miss especially considering they were not that busy whilst we where there (6pm reservation on a Saturday). Drinks order was forgotten until we had to remind them, one server seemed miserable whilst were another was more pleasant. When the bill came there was an error on it so it had to get redone. Generally I do not appreciate restaurants that add an automatic service charge.

Came here for my birthday. Food was good but nothing amazing. Didn’t really like the ambience with the restaurant inside the shopping centre with shelves visible. Service was good but the food just wasn’t enough to make me sing at the price point it is. I probably would not come back.
Furthermore, I wasn’t interested in either dessert option; tiramisu or choc brownie and was planning to go somewhere else for dessert. But as it was my birthday they brought out a choc brownie with a candle on it, which was a nice touch which I assumed to be complimentary. However this was added to the final bill which left a sour taste as I was leaving.

Came recommended and went with a group of friends. Had the sharing platters with selection of meats. Unfortunately was a mix bag some cuts cooked medium rare others pushed to medium-well which is not how steak should be. Also became cold very very quickly so couldn't really enjoy it much.
On a positive note the picana we ordered as extras was on point and the chips were nice.
In summary expected a place like Zelman's to cook a steak properly :(

We visited this place on a Friday night as we celebrated an anniversary weekend in London. The service and food was exemplary. The steak was just so perfectly cooked I was speechless. My only gripe was that the music was really loud and spoilt the experience. I understand it was a Friday night and that this is hardly a romantic restaurant but the music could have been a bit lower in volume.

I gave this a 5 star before but I’m afraid I’ve had to revise it. Don’t get me wrong, it was tasty, but for the price you pay it wasn’t as great as I remembered pre COVID. I ordered medium rare strip loin but it was a bit undercooked and chewy at bits, the meat had less flavour than other restaurants and it’s twice as expensive. It was good but I think there’s better value for money out there

One of the best Ribeyes I ever tasted, it was halal and the wagyu burger was delicious. Overall, good service, fast and lovely vibes. They normally add the service charge and I asked the waiter if the service charge goes to them and she said it does partly, just to keep you informed. It's your choice at the end whether you want to keep it or not.

The lobster croquettes were really lovely! The Wagyu beef burger whilst enjoyable, is not worth paying £22 for, but given where it's located, pricing is to be expected.

The meat from here is great, good selection and variety and most of the meat is Halal which is a plus. Best thing on the menu is the Wagyu burger, would definitely recommend. Overall it's great but slightly overpriced for what it is but I guess given the location, you can't complain too much! Great for once in a blue moon or a special occasion

Everything about the place was great. We ordered beef carpaccio, zelman plate, mango and rasphperry mocktail and i think it was rasphperry chilli mocktail and triple cooked chips. The bill came to around £110. Everything was really good, the service was top notch but if I could fox just one thing about them its gonna be the zelman plate, its a sharing platter and it takes time to eat and it gets cold very quickly and the steak doesn't taste good when they get cold. I would love to see them add something to the plate or the table to keep the steak hot.

Just come from having the Zalman's meat platter. I personally didn't enjoy it. There was only one cut of meat that I enjoyed on the plate which was the strip loin. Hubby preferred the ribeye steak. Although he was also disappointed with the meal. At least we tried it.

Disappointed at the lack of halal options, other then the 4 steaks, no other meat in the starters or sides, or other mains is halal. Everything tasted good, nothing was really exceptional or outstanding though. I don't think I'd go back in a rush, but then again I'm not the biggest steak fan.

The picana is BEAUTIFUL. Steak lovers would love this place, fair prices and great execution. Asked for rare but they don't serve the particular cut rare, so got medium-rare instead which was cooked to perfection. Prawn starter was lovely and the truffle chips are excellent.
