Amazing food and service at 8! A good range of food on the menu, including excellent vegetarian Tofu options 🌱👍🏻 The restaurant is modern, clean and well presented. The staff were extremely helpful and professional. I would highly recommend visiting.

I do not leave reviews very often but I have to for this one. We came for a Christmas Eve meal in a beautiful setting. From the food all the way down to the service, they go above and beyond to make you have the best experience. Food is bursting with flavour and filling. Had some of the best service I’ve ever experienced here, staff are kind, friendly and fantastic with the children. I cannot fault anything with this restaurant at all. Thanks for a lovely evening. We will definitely be back soon!

Foods always great, we've eaten here afew times and my daughters who are 8, 12 & 16 all find something they like as do me and my partner. Lovely decour and ambience, This night, the restaurant overall was relatively quiet, but that didn't affect our experience, probably our favourite place to eat in Whitefield.

Around 40 of us booked three tables for a birthday party 🎉 it was packed when we arrived but on time our tables became available service was excellent the food was lovely and we all had a wonderful night.

Walked in without a reservation and were given notice of an hour for the table which was appreciated, food was quick as we only had an hour but it was still lovely, Highly recommend the share platter to start, an experience to share with the table

I went to 8 Manchester with my husband and sons. We have been many times and all our meals were delicious as usual. We had the sharing platter for 3 and one lot of duck spring rolls and they were also delicious. If you enjoy Chinese food I would highly recommend the restaurant. The staff are very nice and the service is excellent. If you want to go by tram it stops in Whitefield close to 8 Manchester.

Absolutely brilliant. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, but most noticeably, super polite! Food was great and very well priced. Luxurious decor unusual for a suburban eaterie. Went for the first time on a Sunday night to experience their 2 course menu for £14.95 but was disappointed that we had to pay an extra £5 for a fish main course. The starters were really nice but portion sizes of this and the side dishes dampened our experience a little.

The chicken had a strong odour (you should marinate chicken enough so that you can smell the spices and the aroma not the unseasoned chicken). The portion sizes are very small. The food was nothing special. Probably wouldn't go again. The interior was nice though.

As a setting for a meal this place is really cool and well presented. It looks like it might have been an ex bank. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and very attentive, they couldn't do enough. The food we ordered was really great quality and very tasty. Portion sizes were really good too. But, and there's a but. The prices here are pretty high for what you're ordering. At the end of the day Chinese food is not particularly taxing dishes to prepare or cater for so to charge the prices they do is the only reason I won't be coming back here again. 3 of us dined and we had chicken and sweet corn soup, salt and pepper chicken wings, salt and pepper chicken pieces. Beef in black bean sauce, sweet and sour chicken and some chicken noodle dish. 1 x boiled rice 1 x egg fried rice. 2 x profiteroles and a chocolate brownie. 1 x coke. 1 x strawberry daiquiri (non alcoholic) and a bottle of beer. The bill came to £90. I could have got the same from my local takeaway for about 30 quid and I've had the same dishes from the takeaway which taste very similar. Sorry 8 but this chap won't be back.

Very classy looking restaurant. We went on a Sunday and had the £14 meal deal. This was a bargain as it easily filled us to breaking point. The hot and sour soup was generous, tangy and includes prawns. The platter that comes next had ribs wings and spring rolls. the platter was fairly tasty but generic, with the wings being a crunchy salty fried delight. Our mains were a bit of a mixed bag, as the shredded beef was in a sauce that was too sweet. Ironically the char sui pork in honey sauce was absolutely delicious and not overly sweet. The beef in ginger and soy sauce was suttle but very unami, we enjoyed it very much. And the beef in black bean sauce was also generous and tasty with lots of sauce for the rice. One of us got the chicken main which was soft but lacked any real flavour. All in all a great neighborhood Cantonese. Some dishes excelled whilst others floundered. But it was well worth the £14. We will go back and order off the normal menu to see what the difference is like.

3 stars is basically for the food...the staff were excellent the place is spotless.... Now this place is expensive so i was expecting the best food...ribs n soup were the best of the night.had better sweet n sour chicken from most chinese shops and was bland...wife ordered salt n pepper chicken and it was hard and tasteless also...my son ordered SnP chicken wings..basic crispy chicken with onions n peppers thrown on top.. i asked about prawn crackers and they charged for them (free everyware else) . Its worth a visit but after £105 for 3 i wont be visiting again...

Expensive for what we got, they don't provide hand wipes or after dinner mints, plate warmers etc. Really struggling to justify 3 stars as food was average and failed to meet expectations. There are other nearby places that should be considered as an alternative. The presentation of the food lacked finesse.
