Reviews of Ban Di Bul
D. L.
Face opposite to St Peter Square Metrolink. Very convenient located and easy to spot. A couple of choices for lunch set. The soup comes with the lunch set. Spinach needed extra order and was treated for two other side dishes. The beef rice set is kinda of Korean source taste. However, as lunch set, it was warm enough for the rice. It wasn’t the best in the city but still can give a trial.

Lovely! Amazing service and delicious food for a reasonable price. Very quaint and cozy in here, with a big menu selection. The only issue is that I'd asked for a side dish that never came, and that the spicy food wasn't as spicy as I had hoped.
C. L.
I really wanted soon tofu and came across this place as the other place I was going to was a bit too far of a walk. I had to wait about twenty minutes to be seated since I was alone and there wasn’t a lot of tables for small groups.
I ordered fairly quickly and the staff asked if I wanted anything to drink to which I said just water (not sure if they charge extra for it).
The soon tofu was quite small (I guess I’m used to BCD size) and was just okay. There were also no side dishes that came with it but the food came by fast. I also didn’t end up getting my water but just left. I didn’t realize that the restaurant has service charge (not sure if it was posted anywhere).
Overall, I found the price that I paid not worth the food that I ate. I’d try to look for another Korean place to compare it

First things first - All of the food was extremely flavoursome (especially the spicy beef soup) and tasty.
However there is definitely a base level of understanding in terms of Korean cuisine and Korean BBQ Needed in order to enjoy the meal fully - I feel the experience would be enhanced if staff were to explain the best method to cook the food at the table.
All in all a solid meal - definitely on the pricey end but all the food seemed of a very good quality and freshness.
Would recommend to a friend - only if they had experienced this style of cuisine before …. Cos if they hadn’t they’d be scuppered
M. B.
Absolutely love the food here! Never had a bad meal here. I strongly recommend you try these 2 meals in the pictures below. They are the bulgogi (beef) and mushroom dolsot bibimbap (rice with vegetables and chilli sauce).

Had a wonderful night! Love Korean bbq, delicious food and good service, the staff so nice and helpful, definately will go again and highly recommended.
c. s.
Restaurant is tiny! Ordered chicken and rice which was quite dry. Will definitely order the BBQ specials next time as they looked delicious even though I did have to wash all my clothes from the smoky smell ha. Would do well to have more drinks options.
H. S.
Food was really nice and good portion size
A. W.
An Excellent meal was enjoyed here. The BBQ taster selection is huge. The bim bim bap was very nice. Very busy many people were turned away so best to book as the restaurant is quite 'cosy'
M. T.
Tasty food and friendly staff, really enjoyed this new experience!!!
B. S.
Food is super authentic and delicious but that one female waitress..almost ruined the peace of mind...which we wish to have while having the dinner!
Food is so good and much love to other people handling it tho!
G. A.
Had a mega BBQ tasting menu. Huge portion of meat, dressing on the salad was fantastic.
We had a table of losers next to us complaining about the fact the menu prices had increased and poor quality.
Completely unfounded and needless aggression towards the waiting on staff.
B. G.
To be honest we were really looking forward to this, however the food was daftly overpriced for the quality of the items we ordered, with no customer service in guiding us on how long to cook things for, the bill was at a high cost considering we only ordered a handful of things also not realising every single item has a £1 additional charge which adds up. The staff should have verbally told us upon entering the restaurant rather than relying upon the customer to discover a notice on the front of the menu.

KBBQ - Weekday afternoon with 4 people.
Food was delicious, the offering of side dishes were generous, definitely had no spare space on the table! Sat in a corner seat which was nice, however whenever the staff had to come and assist or when we were leaving, we had to pass other customers sat down rather closely, which I would of thought was inconvenient if that customer was me. This was made worse as they had to keep replacing our hot plate every time we had cooked a full plate of food. Our table was suprised by this as we werent offered the utensils to scrape/clean the burnt meats which is a common practice in other KBBQ places.
Definitely on the pricey side, ordered the set meal for 2 for two pairs, and was treat after not going out for food for a long time. We were completely happy to pay the price going in, however, the portion sizes of certain things were varied, between lacking and very generous. Which meant, we needed an additional serving of lettuce, in previous KBBQ experiences (not here) we have never been charged for extra lettuce, especially not for £1.90 for about 7 leaves.
Overall, it was a nice outing, however this place is more like a one off for KBBQ.
J. W.
What an amazing eating experience!! Everything was delicious and brought out really quickly, we had the bbq tasting set and there was plenty to eat, we had our food cooked for us but next we are going to cook it ourselves for the full experience.
Can't wait to go back.
P. G.
Had a spicy seafood and udon ramen and it was INSANE. Huge portion and super tasty.
C. Y.
Ordered a take away via uber for here, got the rib soup, seafood rice and beef and veg rice. Very tasty however be warned that the rice dishes are very hot! You could always ask them to put less spice in. The rib soup came with rice which was nice.
J. F.
A really enjoyable choice. It felt much like bbq places do in Korea with great banchan and marinades. The portions were generous too. I'd go back any day. Maybe to try the soups!
e. s.
Price and terms for bbq set were a bit confusing. Although they marked the price for one on the menu (24.5 / 28.5 pounds), The term “set” for the bbq set means “a bbq set for two people”, not “a set per person”, which means if you order one bbq set /tasting set, you will be served food portion for two, and be expected to pay a minimum of 49 or 57 pounds (plus tax and service charge).
So if you want to order for two ppl, just order “one bbq set”. Or else the waitress will think you are ordering double and you will end up with heaps of food for four people and a whopping bill of 98 to 114 pounds.
Good service, good food.
J. F.
Top quality. Took BBQ set 2 which let you cook the meat yourself on the barbeque. It comes with 3 meats Beef (Bul go gi), Chicken (Yang neum gak dak gui i) and Pork (Sam giel sal) and an array of about 5 sides, salad, rice (sweet and sticky type) and a soup per person. The beef and chicken dishes were really good (sweet with a slight tang), the pork was terrible. The soup options weren't great either, neither the spicy beef (tastes watery) nor the seaweed soup option. The sides were all good with the Pa-Je-O-Ri the best of the lot. It is slightly pricey at £23.90 per person but for the amount of dishes on offer, probably was fair value.
C. K.
Very good food, the BBQ set can easily feed 2-3 people. The table is a bit small but you can manage. Will come again
O. R.
The staff hardly speaking English, most of the dishes was really good, the seafood wasn't so.. the taste was like they boil it too much.
The chicken dishes with rice was 👍👌
A. K.
I had never experienced korean food but was super impressed. Staff was friendly and the menu had a lot of choice. We went with the 'popular choices' and were not disappointed. Portions were quite big and really good value for money. Highly recommended!
T. C.
Authentic Korean dishes can be found here. I gave 5 out of 5 for its food quality. The staff here are very friendly. I do think the staff I met are real Korean people. I gave 5 out of 5 for its service. I gave the environment 4 out of 5. Food recommended: Korean style fried chicken (sweet and a bit spicy) and zha jang mein(noodles).
C. N.
Had a lunch at there unexpectedly. I like bibimbap so I tried it there. The hot rice bowl was really attractive to me. It tasted excellent. The bean sprouts side dish was also taste very good. Nice experience there. The locations is in Central. Staffs were nice too. The price was also affordable. Some other customers there were having Korean BBQ. It smelled good too.
i. a.
Friendly atmosphere unusual food choices. Some dishes can be cooked at the table, suitable for a parties of +4. An interesting experience. 🤔
L. T.
Waiters were attentive. Just one look and they came to take order. And even without me asking, someone placed an extra napkin when I was sniffing due to the cold weather. Very good services. And awesome food!
L. J.
Tasties food and excellent service. I recommend it!
S.
Been here so many times in my lunch break, got very nice lunch menu and for bbq you could ask the kitchen cooked for you save you to smell smoky lol 😂 nice staff and £80 if for 2 to have plenty food 🍱
L. N.
The food was really nice and the staff let us have dinner even though they were closing soon, would recommend!
K.
Great quality food but it's a very popular place so I'd recommend booking in advance as the queue was long!
G. A.
A bit of a tight squeeze layout wise but the food is great. I had an amazing Bibimbap and nice warm tasty starters
a. r.
Very polite, very good freshly prepared food. Book if you can, but if you need to wait, it moves quickly

Love this place. Go many times. Staff are lovely and food is amazing. Such good flavour and great portions.

Amazing customer service ans delicious food. Nothing more to say. I would definitely recommend!

A. A.
Bibimbap tastes decent. The kimchi was also good. It wasn’t the best I’ve had, but I would go if I’m craving Korean.
H. C.
Had a great dinner here. Contrary to most we did not have a hotpot or the barbecue. Instead we opted for two noodle bowls - one with seafood and one with chicken - and were not disappointed. We also ordered a side of spare ribs. They were fried, sticky sweet and fall off the bone tender.
Service was speedy and friendly and we got good portions for the price.
The only downside was it was very cramped and it does get packed.
R. M.
Love this place. Go many times. Staff are lovely and food is amazing. Such good flavour and great portions.
S. R.
My husband and I went for eating out and we ordered some Korean BBQ. Its so worthy tho. It cost us £28/pp and youve got everything start from meats rice vegs and some soups. And they do seafood optional as well. Deffo we'll come back there !!👌👌🥢
a. r.
Very polite, very good freshly prepared food. Book if you can, but if you need to wait, it moves quickly
J. R. A.
great food and feels authentic but it lacks in space for other customers also the price its a bit expensive but overall it a must to try
J. L.
The experience of this Restaurant depends on the food you order. I have been in this restaurant twice. I order stir fried dish which is very very delicious. However, the soup and noodles can’t keep up with the stir fried one at all.
N. W.
First time been in there. Was very nice food at a fair price. Would definitely go again. 👍
M. C.
Really cosy cute restaurant. Loved the atmosphere. The food was top tier.
J. I.
The food is delicious. The seafood pancake is my new favourite thing ❤️. We got the Korean BBQ meat platter set and it did not dissapointed. Plenty of deliciously marinated and tender meats. Plus the staff are friendly and attentive.
A. F.
A quick visit, by necessity, as we turned up at 9.30 and they closed at 10pm. Food was incredible, but the service could have been a lot friendlier. The woman in charge seemed quite rude to us. However, I have been once before a few years ago for the full BBQ experience and that was truly incredible.
L. S.
Friendly staff , quick serving and, suprise: 50% discount today! We were very happy!
K. L.
Great service... Staff very helpful as this was out first Korean BBQ... food was different but loved it. Great experience and kids tried things the wouldn't normally eat and loved it. Will be visiting again when we return to Manchester.
M.
Service was abit slow at first, but acceptable as it was getting fairly busy after we sat down. Quality of food was good, the sliced beef ribeye was of bad quality but other than that, we are happy with coming here. Will be back again.
T.
Authentic no frills restaurant, cosy feel with close tables and kitchen noise throughout. Set taster menus and BBQ set menus to cook at your table. Traditional menu also available.
A. C.
Nice cosy restaurant, "Ban Di Bul" really is as lovable as its name sounds. Having went there with a Korean friend of mine, I was able to better gauge the authenticity of the endearing place. And no, it doesn't "look like a typical Korean barbeque eatery", my friend said. But perhaps more importantly, "it (the food) tastes like one", he conceded. The "Gal Bi Tang" (beef short ribs soup) was delicious and the steak was more than decent. But this place will stain your clothes with a strong BBQ flavour so It's better not to wear anything that absorbs food smell.
All in all, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
S. S.
I must say that the food is very nice and certainly provides for an authentic taste experience.
The interior and exterior could definitely do with a refresh though.
Be aware that this place is not cheap!
D. J.
Authentic Korean food, their barbecue looked good but we didn't have all the time to sit and enjoy that.
d.
Amazing customer service ans delicious food. Nothing more to say. I would definitely recommend!
P. N.
Good food, unpretentious setting. Courteous staff. Heart warming food. Will defo return.
Z. O.
Great Korean BBQ...you can cook your meat and veggie platter according to your taste, on the BBQ right in the middle of your table! Good experience overall if you are fancy asian food!
T. G.
amazing food and lovely staff. Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone who loves or wants to try out some korean food!! It's busy but food came quickly x
I. S.
I’ve never been to a Korean restaurant before so truly enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious. I was happy that they had quite a few vegetarian options available on the menu. We ordered Ramen (Seafood and Kimchi), Kimchi pancake and a trio veggie side. I had the plum juice (never had one before and I always tend to go for smth new) and I loved it! OMG so tasty and so was the grape juice! I wished they did some BBQ options for vegetarians too as it looked quite fun seeing others use it. The service was friendly and polite. The atmosphere casual and chill. The toilets could do with a little renovation and the TV needed fixing as kept on repeating the same video clip but the background music was nice. Overall had a lovely time and would definitely go again.
P. W.
Nice food, fantastic ribs.
A. K.
High quality korean bbq place, been a couple times and always walked out satisfied! 🥰
R. K.
Excellent food and service would definitely would go there again.
M. H.
Food here is really good. Can't fault the place. Always busy too which must mean something
C. M.
Food was decent but portions are very small for the kimchi Jigae and spicy fried chicken. Prices are a little high especially for small portion of rice being 3.40£ . Wouldn’t hurry back
B.
First time trying Korean food and I've enjoyed it so far. Very tasty and a big mixture of flavours.
E. R.
I've been to Korea a few times and I can honestly say that the squid stir fry was not only tasty but also very authentic. Great service too! 잘 먹었습니다
E. P.
Food was very good, very authentic. Great prices and friendly staff. Good vegetarian options. Not to mention Korean wine (Soju) might be my new favourite drink.
A. F.
Great place for Korean bbq. It’s not all you can eat but the portions are good.
l. r.
Really good experience with the Korean BBQ, highly recommend and staff are on point. Great customer service, just wished more food came on the platter
P. N.
Food tasted amazing, staff was really nice and loads of chose. Will be going back
P. S.
Really nice Korean BBQ and spicy beef soup. Was a little expensive but worth the treat.
E. S. T.
First time in Korean restaurant and it was a different experience.
It was a bit crowded, very loud! And the gas cooker in the middle of table was not functioning properly.
M.
It's a bit of a fun thing the whole aspect of you cooking up your own meat, so if you just want to sit down after a stressful day and eat, it might not be for you, but if you want to go with friends and have a different, exciting, get-out-of-routine, then this is the place for you.
The prices are quite expensive, so it's definitely not your everyday restaurant for that reason as well.
The food was amazing, not exactly my favourite type personally, but it's obvious it was done to perfection by a very committed chef staff, well seasoned, quality cuts, fresh, everything of the highest standard.
A.
Food is fantastic, had one of the Hot Pots last time we went along with a few side dishes to start. Pork Kimchi is good although seems like the portion sizes have shrunk lately. Great atmosphere and friendly staff, would always recommend.
C. S.
This place has nice food for a reasonable price. Friendly staff and good hospitality. I recommend to other people in the area who have a taste for korean food. I got meat to bbq and can say the marinated beef is the best 🙌🏽.
L. Y.
I love Korean food and have eaten in many korean restaurants, and I found Ban Di Bul to be pretty decent. It wouldn't be my favourite korean restaurant as it didn't have beef bulgogi which is my favourite, but they do have BBQ that you can do on the table. I had Korean Kimchi pancake, kimchi and banchan, all of which tasted great. I loved the Korean kimchi pancake, it was crispy and succulent, I wish I could make it like that at home. The waiter was friendly and the prices were moderate. The downside is that the restaurant is a bit small. Overall good Korean food.
E. B.
I'd never had Korean bbq before and this was amazing. Great food and friendly, helpful staff
A. D.
Went for my birthday and had the BBQ tasting set. It was honestly one of the greatest things I have ever eaten. Marinated beef was delicious!
Also the staff were very helpful, explaining what things were and answering our questions.
Would definitely go again.
S. P.
Amazing, authentic, Korean food! Small restaurant, the music was loud when we arrived, but they happily turned it down for us. Service was very good, they were happy and helpful. The food was delicious, so top marks all around! If you're in Manchester, definitely look these guys up :-)
J. T.
Nice atomsphere with good tasting korean food. KBBQ grilles available built into the tables
B. K.
I celebrated my PhD earlier this evening in this delicious restaurant. I am glad to say that we passed a great evening and the restaurant was evidently one of the reasons for this strong event. The crew participated in a very nice way, the food was very good and my friends were very pleased. We shall no dout visit again for more celebrations. thanks very much.
Y. C. C.
I tried the Kimchi Chigae and it tasted very nice, very authentic. Will be going back for the korean bbq.
A. I.
Highley recommend the spicy vegetarian ramen noodles 🍜 and the spicy omelette
M.
Came here with my work place, we all had to pay separately and they were very patient with us. Food was really nice and a cool concept to cook your own meat in the middle of the table. However there was a surcharge on the table and I saw no warning of that, it caught alot of us out so it loses a star for that.
E. P.
Went for lunch. Really nice, staff were helpful and food was plentiful and delicious. Can't wait to go again.
A. a. V.
Nice and cosy , perfect for an escape to live your korean 2 h drama. Great staff
C. S.
Food was amazing. The flavours, portions, presentation, colours were on point. Plenty of choice on the menu. The only couple of things letting it down, drinks service was a bit tough and there's no real waiting area for your table.
K. N.
Nice food and nice staff.
The Kimchi pancake melts in your mouth
B. H. (.
I'd been to Ban Di Bul once before and eaten a bibimbap (which was delicious) but this time I was able to try out a variety of dishes so now I can quite confidently say that the food here is absolutely to die for. Even though between us my friend and I ordered a lot of dishes, the bill was inexpensive. Everything was very authentic and really satisfied my Korean food craving. There was an option for Korean bbq at the tables which we didn't try so I'm excited to come back and try it one day!
S. H.
Really nice authentic Korean dishes. Spicy and busy. Food is good and service is excellent too. The only thing that is annoying that the door does not close and a cold draft can make you feel cold. Also the extractor fans above the bbq grill make too much noise. The dishes are very tasty tho.
N. C.
Handy little place opposite St. Peter’s tram stop. Popped in for the lunch special and a cup of peanut tea. Well worth it. Yum!
A. W.
WARNING! They over charged me on a set menu, wish I noticed before leaving.
J. D.
Small restaurant with very friendly staff. Food arrived in a timely manner and it was a great experience to to see the food cooked in front of you. Had the BBQ taster set and the flavours were all different but merged well together. Great spot for a nice meal with friends or as a date.
C. N.
good korean restaurant in town, tasty but little bit pricy.
A. W.
Great food and service. Little expensive but portions are generous.
C. P.
Staff friendly. But avoid the lunch menu. Our meal was using ready-made sweet chilli sauce and made everything gloopy. They should charge more and make their own chilli sauce without tons of sugar. Had tried the traditional Korean meals there in the past and they were great. Don't know how they are now.
P. N.
Loved the food on offer today as I finally tried this place out. Got one of the sharing for 2 options off the sharing menu and it was really good food. The table was covered in different dishes, and both myself and my friend loved it. Really authentic, good Korean cuisine
J. B.
Found this lovely Korean restaurant near to our hotel. Had the BBQ2 menu which was delicious. Lots of food, all cooked well and our waiter was really friendly and attentive. Would definitely visit again
M. S.
From the first moment you enter that place the waiters give you a nice feeling. Very congenial crew, it is a good restaurant to enjoy with friends or with your date. Great food, experienced chef de cuisine, reasonable pay and attentive service. Highly recommended.
M. S. W.
I completely disagree with many of the reviews on this one. Normally I get really affected by "bad" reviews, but I'm glad we went here anyway! The food was lovely and the service was not bad at all!! Too be honest it was one of the best Asian food experiences I've ever had and my boyfriend said the same. Really deserve more stars ☺️
D.
Amazing food. The spicy beef soup was inmense.
S. B.
Never tried Korean food before but after an evening at the Art Gallery (round the corner), we thought we would give it a try. This is a very small restaurant with about 50 covers. They specialise in BBQ at the table which looked fun but we decided to go for the Tofu appetisers and noodles with mushrooms for main. A beer and a juice took the bill to just under £43. A decent Thursday night meal with me looking stupid trying to use chopsticks. Nice staff, cheap price...
v. l.
First time in this place and found that the female waitress wasn't very helpful.Basically encouraged us to overorder and then didn't explain what the foods were not what to do with them. So consequently the £20 service charge was hard to swallow given that the male waiter tried his best afterwards..
R. T. (.
Great food, but expensive compared to other Korean restaurants not too far away. The prices for main meals is fine, but charging the same for sides is a bit cheeky. Also the place had youtube on for its music, which is fine, but I'm sure they are missing a trick by not playing Kpop...
G. H.
Overall the food was ok. Not worth the price. My main problem was with the service. I booked a table for 7 but had to wait behind people that had just walked in from the street for our table. Once we were seated it took 30 minutes for anyone to come to our table, and then another 15 for our order to be taken. I felt a bit like we where being ignored because we where English as everyone else, even people that came in before us, where served quickly. I tried to get the girls attention but was ignored. It was only when we where thinking about leaving did someone come over. No one checked to see if we needed another drink and when someone did come to the table they left as soon as possible. I had really high expectations for this restaurant and was really hoping that it was going to be a great night for my boyfriend's birthday. If you have 3 hours for a meal then this place is just OK, but I will not be recommending it.
T. H.
Was early evening so quiet but enjoyable. Three of us in our party and although food was enjoyable would be better if all meals brought out together instead if one at a time with a delay between each one. Overall I rate this restaurant very good and well worth a visit
M. D.
Fresh food great service no nonsense.
Don't be going thinking your traditional Chinese restaurant. If you want to try a Korean BBQ menu and want to try something different then this is the place. Would advise booking in advance as the place is small.
Try the fried rice dishes to go with it.

Pros: Tasty food, easy menu, nice service.
Cons: A little pricy, is it authentic Korean?
A cosy Korean style restaurant.
Our family of 8 with kids went, overall food tasted great. Some menu meals allow you to cook the meat from raw on a stove built into the table. Food was served hot.
I had Bul Gar Bi - seasoned and marinated beef ribs (boneless) £9.90 which tasted delicious, and a portion of rice (£extra). Portions felt a little small but balanced by great seasoned flavours.
The main menu helpfully had pictures of each meal; I wish all restaurants did this because it makes choosing courses easier.
Overall very pleased, though one of us was in Korea and said traditional Korean food is a different and better experience.
I. H.
Lovely food and would recommend the BBQ, however quite pricey (this could be the going rate) personally not worth the price tag but definitely worth a try for a one of occassion. Try the fish cake. - would suggest reading up on Kbbq etiquette prior to visiting as we were left feeling quite embarrassed. Atmosphere and bathroom cleanliness were a bit of a miss. Personally, we wouldn't visit again.

We enjoyed the mixed BBQ selection, which is a lot of meat for two people and delicious, and a bottle of plum wine which is also worth a try. Staff were very attentive despite it being busy. Having been to a few Korean BBQs in the Far East I'd say this was in fact a better experience.
B. P.
Last week was the first time we went to this fine restaurant. But It is definitely not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the excellent service, with the excellent meal and booze and with the honest charge. We will absolutely visit there soon.
J. M.
Traditional Korean barbecue cooked on the table if you'd like it to be. Fresh flavours and nicely marinated meat. The dishes are small so don't be afraid to order tapas style! Definitely the place for a beginner in Korean cuisine.
J. S.
I actually liked their food and customer service, excellent area very close to my home. The workers are always very kind. Will visit here again.
N. S.
Had the BBQ taster and had such fun and delicious food, can't argue. Super central and easy to get to

Well this little gem is AMAZING!!! We went as a group of 5 for the Korean bbq taster menu... We did not leave disappointed
Attentive service, good quality food and the beer was actually good... So if you fancy something different and love meat this is the place to go
M. M.
Very tasty, authentic Korean food. We ordered a set barbeque menu, which was both excellent and plentiful. Once seated it took 30mins+ for them to take our order, though I think the quality more than made up for it (omg the kimchi pancakes!!). We plan on revisiting here again!
o.
Very nice and helpful staff with an amazing selection of meats for the bbq. Really good seafood pancake too.
S. L.
Fresh delicious food, good service, plenty of authentic Korean dishes to choose from. Some of the food is a little confusing, how you are supposed to eat lettuce with chopsticks? Would whole heartedly recommend bbq there.
D. H.
One of my favourite restaurants in Manchester. Absolutely amazing food and friendly staff at a good price. Directly on Saint Peters Square which is easily accessible by tram.
R. P.
Loved our time there.
The Rice with beef and vegatables dish was gorgeous. The rice with pork dish wash quite plain. But overall we really enjoyed.

I visited Ban Di Bul on a Friday evening, around 6pm. It was fairly busy but we got a seat straight away.
I've always walked past and fancied giving it a go just because it seems quite authentic.
Although the food was nice and the staff we're friendly, I found the portions small and the prices big.
At the time we were on the way to Baekdu (for a return trip) but decided to stop here instead to give it a whirl. I do wish we carried on walking now, but only because of the price.

This is my favourite Korean restaurant in Manchester, and probably in England too. I have moved to the city at the start of 2016 and a friend recommended it, and it is amazing! I have tried other places, but they just don't beat Ban Di Bul. Would definitely recommend.
E. Y.
I took this pla e for a place as a place to date, it is a tag expensive but the customer service does shine on this place and the deco makes it feel much larger than it is.
Food was great and changes was made to suit my dietry needs, it was good. Korean places tend tp be expensive but i wasnt warn about the service charge within the bill and i ended up tipping twice which is the only reason i dropped a star.
S. N.
Amazing food. Reminds me of travels to South Korea!
C. V. P.
Very good food, very good services, very nice people!!!
Awesome place! Strongly recommended!!!
A. L.
I had a poor first experience, quite possibly because I didn't know what to order, but on this second attempt, I went for a set meal and I really enjoyed it. There were lots to eat and we actually struggled with space on the table due to the number of dishes. Food came quite fast and staff were generally okay. It gets quite busy in here and there were constant queues of folks wanting a meal here.
D. B.
Impressive! The service was great, the food was amazing even though I don’t usually eat east asian cuisine. The meat was delicious, and my friends liked their meals as well.
M. D.
I had the spicy kimchi Raman, absolutely delicious! Would come again.
R. K. D.
Food was not as great as expected. It was very crowded and the seating layout was quite cramped
b. p.
If you ever go to Meadowhall and end up hungry, at least try Ban Di Bul, good food and lots of healthy options too. Better than them McDonald, KFCs and other junk foods. I know they r other better options, but its not always you can have an good asian food at reasonable price. We enjoyed it, I'm sure u'll do too 🍛🍚🥘🍲☺️
H. L.
Busy and small restaurant, but i love the korean food there, bulgogi, tteobokki are my favourites. Sometimes longer waiting time. But over all this one has better menu than another korean restaurant that i visited.
D. L.
Good taste Korea kinda authentic
A. S.
I was always intrigued by this place as it had good reviews from a friend and always seemed to full with Asian customers which is often touted as a good thing. I got my usual bibimbap but it wasnt as good as in other places in Manchester sadly. My boyfriend had chicken in a sauce which was about as interesting as I just made that sound!
S.
Between 3and4 stars.
I come at thia place since years amd just recently tried the BBQ meat set menut, I was very happy.
I agree with some review, the service can sometime be little confused. However always kind
r. J.
Used to go to the one in shudehill but they closed now. Went to ban di bul, it was quite busy for a week day, full of Asian customers. Had one of the BBq on table set which was recommended by the staff. Lots of meat, loved the beef and chicken. Enjoyed it . It is not as cheap as some Chinese you can find in Chinatown but was ok for the amount food you get.
A.
Was stunned by by the staff, the food and the atmosphere. As if I went back to Seoul. Truly loved the restaurant and will try to come back once more before leaving Manchester. 100% recommended!
A. G.
A nice place and serves great food (except for the boneless ribs, which are more like chewy bits of hard fat). The price is definitely worth it and service good too. Loved the kimichi!
M. J. K.
Not bad taste, but the price was quite expensive.
It could have more ingredients in foods actually.
S. Á.
Slightly pricy (for a student's budget) but the food is dangerously delicious and the ambient is nice and cozy. Perfect for a gathering with friends. The side dishes are essential
L. L.
Super friendly staff. Most food was delicious but there were a few things that seemed a little simple for the price.
R. J.
Went for a quick lunch date with hubby and baby. Friendly staff, delicious food, perfect if you like Korean food.
G.
Really enjoyed the food I had. cant remember the name as its korean but it was a spicy seafood soup with udon noodles
B.
Always a wonderful experience, the staff are so helpful and the food is wonderful! Definitely recommend trying the bbq tasting sets and the kimchi set, you won't be disappointed!
J. C.
A great place to eat. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. The food is delicious too. Can't recommend highly enough.
C. Y.
Kimchi jiggae is not spicy enough! Haha. They provide Korean BBQ and dolsat bibimbap (stone pot bibimbap). They have lunch deals but I have not tried. Portion can be bigger than Koreana.
S. M.
Been a couple of times and tried their set menus which are varied and tasty. Minus 1 star for the unnecessary mark up on drink prices. (annoyingly, so often the case with restaurants)
P. S.
Highly recommend it. The best meal I've had in a long long time. Just like the food we had in Seoul.
F. W.
The food here was absolutely delicious and the customer service was second to none. The waitresses were so attentive. I would recommend this restaurant. Very reasonably priced too.
A. T.
Authentic food, definitely recommend
T. M.
The place is excellent and spacious, the meals was enchanting and the rates were very reasonable. quickly, efficient service and very friendly staff. I highly recommend this place.
C. B.
Great food, a bit pricey though.
p. v.
Great food, excellent service. Don't judge them from previous reviews until you got a chance to try by yourself. Will definitely coming back.
T. W.
Walked in at lunch for 2 and got seated. 2 minutes later we were told their till hadn't been working all lunch so we should leave if we wanted to eat within the hour. Terrible service, can't speak for the food though.
S. C.
Awesome place to buy some food when in a hurry. Their service is fast, prices are fair, great character. I highly recommend this spot.
I. L.
Service is kinda slow. A bit pricey. The rice eel is very nice, especially the sauce. Ordered ttoteobokki, was just okay
A. B.
Good. The hoods make this crazy noise if you turn them on and I stayed next to the AC which wasn't blowing clean air, just air from the kitchen. A bit of a filthy place but the food was good.
A. J.
An enticing array of dishes, full of flavour and well balanced spices. Drinks menu is a little basic, hence 4*.
L. T.
Great Korean food right in the centre of Manchester - friendly service. Very happy experience sharing dishes.
M. R.
I was with my wife there. My wife is from korea. And also for she the meal was delicious. We had san gup sal a famous korean bbq. Authentic food and very friendly service.
J. M.

Popped in after work for a meal for two, the food was delicious, service was quick, and portion size was just about right. Great value for money.
D. C.
This place is consistently good with solid Korean quality food. My favourite is the bibimbap :) good service and nice atmosphere.
R. M.
Nice place for lunch and popular. Good food.
L. T. H.
The food is good but I don't like the fact that there is no free refill letucce. The price is not too expensive but not cheap either.
H.
Cracking set of munch, lovely employees who treat me like royalty. Me myself and I loved it dearly.
k.

M. R.
I really like this place, as the food is good. Can be very busy, so a reservation is probably a good idea on Friday/Saturday evenings.
A. D.

A. A.

D. S.

R. A. R.
Just a typical Korean restaurant. Nothing too special. Price is reasonable. Service is very fast though.
K. S.
Authentic Korea foods, however if you want to have the BBQ, you should go on weekdays and avoid busy hours.
I like their BiBimbup a lot.
