Bloody lovely food! We have just been and had 6 tapas to share between 2. Normally we get a bit worried when small dishes come out that you will leave hungry - but we both left full, happy and content. LOVELY food. Really really nice. Highly recommend it (especially the chorizo in honey 👌👌👌👌👌) We will be back for sure

Great eatery, and that’s just the start for this little bistro/lounge - a must visit for locals and visitors. Started with a few plates, all of which were fantastic - ranging from the garlic mushrooms, to the DIVINE honey-coated chorizo. The staff were brilliant - quick to serve, and willing to provide suggestions where asked. The drinks menu is just varied enough to cover all bases - and the cocktails are out generous and well made. Once the meal was done, we stuck around for a couple of drinks and it’s then the secret lounge bar emerged. Wonderful atmosphere, great playlist and DJ, and the bar staff barely skipped a beat all night. I can absolutely recommend this place a and will certainly coming back in the near future.

Me and my Wife have been here a couple of times now for an evening meal. The atmosphere and the venue are brilliant. The staff are very welcoming and polite. Nicky is fantastic and a diamond, taking the time to explain things on the menu and making sure you have the best experience while your visiting. The chef Adam Fiddy is out of this world, his food is absolutely delicious, mouth watering and very well presented. My mouth is watering now just writing about it. We would very highly recommend the Carmen Bar and Eatery to everyone that has not been. If you want a place to go then this is the place to go definitely 100% and 5 stars.

I tried this bar for the first time Saturday. What a little gem it is. The staff were lovely and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and we ended up staying and sitting outside, which is great it has its own bar outside. Couldn't ask for more. Will definitely be returning here.

We went for our wedding anniversary. Very thoughtful service with a card and some money off. The food was delicious as were the cocktails. My favourite was the Lemon Meringue Pie - delicious. Service was fab and the ambience. We will be back.

Recently visited on a Friday night with friends. Thoroughly enjoyed the drinks and food. The nacho chicken burger was off it's ed and in the words of Bob Geldof the enchilada could feed the world. Great food and enjoyed the cocktails too.

Drinks are overpriced but atmosphere was good. Good singer on the night we were in but £12 for a pint and a vodka and coke is excessive. Want to revise this review. Had a great meal here tonight and very reasonable price. Think the above price for a round of drinks was a one off mistake.

Lovely bar with a nice upmarket feel to it, without being pretentious. Always made to feel welcome by the lovely staff who work there. Food is way above what you'd expect from small bar, is really nice and beautifully presented. Can't knock it, especially at the price. All in all, a place Atherton can be proud of.

Fabulous place both day and night 💃 The food is fantastic, small plate tapas, Sunday roasts and the new mexicana menu is all beautiful and fresh 💕 Live singers, DJs and themed events, we have been to them all and they are amazing. Dog friendly too and our little pooched loved his visit. Carmen is a very different place on a Friday and Saturday evening, in a very good way 🤣 If you dont like lively then go and eat earlier, if you like music, having a good time and a good dance come back later on 💃💃💃💃🥳🎉

Food here is absolutely incredible. So good to have great Tapas on the doorstep. Only suggestion I'd make is the ability to easily tip their great staff. No cash accepted, which is fine. We weren't even given an option for gratuity on a card. These staff are probably losing 25% of take home pay. Gave the barman £20 to split amongst staff. Not a Carmen exclusive problem, but we need to find a way to reward these great staff!

This is a very new establishment and therefore having a few teething problems, so I wont judge too harshly. The seafood has gotten better since they first opened, a lot better. The calamari is still slightly over done but the garlic sauce makes up for it in flavour. The portion sizes still leave quite a lot to be desired compared with other local places offering the same dish. This is not the case, mind you, when ordering the share platter. There is more than enough to go around. The Sunday dinners are a bit hit and miss. The meats are sometimes succulent and juicy and other times very chewy and tough. They were recruiting new kitchen staff on my last visit so this could answer to why there is an inconsistency in quality, the chef may have too much on their plate (b'dum tish). All that said, the staff are very accommodating with the service charge built into the bill, it's much easier to settle up. The service charge can be removed upon request. They are open until 2.30am at the weekends with live music. It fills up pretty quickly at the weekend so book in advance

Came in for some food and drinks after work with a friend and had the best bbq ribs you ever did saw and the calamari were on point, there were so many good options to choose from aswell.
