This is the best chippy in the entirety of England and its not even close. The chips are cooked perfectly, not undercooked like most places and are not swimming in grease. The gravy is perfect, its not too thick / watery, not spicy and tastes amazing. Fish isn't swimming in fat, the batter is tasty and the fish itself is great. Somehow the cans taste better than you would get in a normal shop, especially the Dr pepper, bought 6 Friday and Saturday, 12 in total they taste that good. The owners are lovely people and you will never wait long for your food if you go here. Always a good laugh when i go there and the food is always tasty. Recently had this chippy at the weekend so can confidently write this without falter. 100/10 defo coming here again.

After craving fish and chips for the last few weeks and despite not having had a chippy tea for almost a year, there was only one place that stood out in my memory - Church Lane chippy. It certainly didn't disappoint! Friendly service, fresh and delicious fish, chips, curry sauce and gravy. Can't recommend highly enough and will absolutely be visiting again soon!

Best chippy around amazing quality food bit pricey but it's well worth it!!!!👌 you know how the saying goes, you get what you pay for, you don't mind paying extra if it's good tasty food!!!! And I have to say I've never tasted Potatoe Scallops like Mario's they are to die for👌 and he always gives 1 to his customers while they're waiting for their food😊 Mario and his staff are very friendly, very nice genuine people👍Can't rate or recommend this chippy enough it's a well deserved ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great fresh chips, lovely fish BURSTING with flavour and batter crisper than Walkers! Thus is the best, freshest lowest price chip shop in the area and the staff are extremely friendly indeed... This is an exceptional chip shop really fresh and most friendly in the area, period;) 9/10!;)
