If you want to enjoy an authentic hot dog with American vibes, then this is your place. They done it again, a place with its own personality, with top-notch service & staff. The quality of the food is very good, the French fries 🍟 are homemade, the quality of the sausages real good (they've got vegan options too) and the watermelon tea 🍉 is one of the best one I've ever had. I'll be back. If you are in MCR you can't miss it,you won't regret it. Fast food never tasted so good 🌭

I had an amazing New Yorker sandwich alongside a tasty root beer. It was a great meal, friendly staff and a nice casual eating atmosphere. It‘s not a closed space so be prepared to leave on your jacket! I can recommend coming for a quick bite. I payed 8.90 pounds for the whole thing so imo it could be a bit cheaper though.

Cheese toasties! That's all they do. That's what they are famous for. That's why you come here. And you should. From basic cheese toasties, to toasties with three types of cheese to all sorts of other fillings. These are really reasonably priced, gourmet toasties that you will simply love. And then wash it down with a tasty shake or an old school root beer. Do alll this while you sit at the bench watching the world go by.

So good that we visited this place twice, once outside Manchester Piccadilly station and other time here. Vegetarian friend with me loved a variation of their cheese sandwich that had cottage cheese. I tried the Cuban and Pig on a Lead, loved both as well. Do get a drink to go with your sandwich, you won't regret doing that.

Total #comfortfood and totally indulgent. Pictured is the Mac buff and the Cuban, preceded by a Mint aero milkshake. After the renovations, seating is more but still relatively limited, so when busy head to Piccadilly station where they've opened another.

Now a staple of Manchester's Norther Quarter, The Northern Soul Grilled Cheese is great for casual dining or grabbing a quick bite whilst you're out. Great atmosphere too. Note this venue is not closed completely to the outside elements. If you're love a grilled cheese sandwich this is a must visit!

Went there on a chilly day and to get a snack before meeting up with friends. Place is small and you will often have to chit chat with other people to negotiate some space for yourself in the shack. The smell of the grill is amazing and gets your appetite going while you wait for your order. I can't remember if there was any vegetarian items though I am sure it would be as equally delicious as the meat options.

My gawdddddd this is going to become one of my faves I ordered a tuna grilled cheese to go and it was that tasty I could only get a part picture cooked to perfection, lovely staff, great food when ordering to go I got a pot of crisps and a gherkin which complemented the sandwich great but then again I am biased as I loveeee gherkins thanks for the delish food oh price was around £8 including a drink in my eyes worth it to fill you up and put a smile on your face 😍

One of the cleanest restaurants i have visited. The staff very well presented and super polite- a slight delay with my order and I was offered freebies to nibble whilst I waited. You can see the food being cooked and there were no bare hands handling the food. The portions are superbly large and the food was spot on and well priced.

I was so happy when the new venue opened on Tib Street. It is a lovely venue with lots of indoor as well as some outdoor seating. An expanded menu now includes breakfast which I had on my visit. I tried the Frosties french toast which was absolutely delicious and highly recommended. As a vegetarian, I was a little disappointed that the only cheese toasties available on the breakfast menu also included meat. Nevertheless I will definitely be back. A really charming little pop-up eatery with delicious food. The staff were friendly and the general vibe of the place was nice, with good music and style. You can watch the chefs cooking up your food, or alternatively take a seat and watch the outside world go by, which is exactly what I did on a rainy Sunday afternoon - lovely! I have deducted a star based on the fact that the food took a little longer than I would expect a grilled cheese to, and since it's such a small place it can feel a little cramped and there's a good chance there won't be a spot to sit in when you visit.

For the uninitiated, this is a millennial twist on an age old food. Cheese on Toast taken to another level. The surroundings are typical of most hipster eateries, reused/upcycled industrial waste for chairs and tables, a stripped back interior. You come here for the food, not the ambiance. This place can get extremely busy. Luckily service is brisk. There isn't much seating space in side, many people buy food to go. So what is it? Two slices of bread, laden with clarified butter and cheese, meet with a hot planchet and are "grilled" to perfection, before being load up with your choice of filling. The menu does change, but it's variations on a theme. Cash or card, wheelchair access, not amazing, sod all parking (it's the city centre). Obviously, it contains Gluten and dairy products - it's a grilled cheese sandwich!

Deliverood once, been for takeaway once and eaten in once. Firstly, DO NOT ORDER VIA DELIVEROO! I did and waited a long time for my order... Only for it to be cancelled because they'd run out of everything. I'd heard excellent things so was really disappointed. A few months later, I returned for a takeaway whilst hungover around Xmas time. I got one of the Xmas specials which contained a pig in blanket and stuffing ball. It was delicious and service was decent, but I tried a bit of my friend's Mac Attack and that was AMAZING so I knew I had to go back. I finally did this weekend and had the Mac Attack; shared it with my boyfriend because a grilled cheese sandwich filled with mac and cheese is pretty heavy, let's face it. It completely filled both of us and it was truly delicious. The mac and cheese is honestly excellent; I would definitely recommend getting this option. The others sort of draw you in with their extra toppings but this is the original and the best. I even really like the interior (although it's very open to the elements so is a little chilly at this time of year in Manchester). Service is quick and there's a good system of them taking your name, then calling this when your order is ready. Perhaps could be a better queuing system but nothing too major. I would definitely recommend eating in as I don't think they travel particularly well - best when the toast is crisp and the filling soggy, so eat there if possible.

The initial premise doesn't sound anything special, grilled cheese, but don't let the seemingly bland premise put you off, the grilled cheese sandwiches here are rightly deserving of the awards they have won! They have some vegetarian friendly sandwiches with some mac 'n' cheese available if you'd rather not have a sandwich. Their brownies are also quite something, they also sell milkshakes but with the sandwiches being so incredibly filling and the brownie so tempting I've never been brave enough to have a sandwich, brownie and milkshake yet, so unfortunately I can't comment on their milkshakes, although I'm sure they're great. I've taken many friends here who have all enjoyed it, sometimes surprisingly so! Highly recomended. The only downside is the pride they seem to take in the fact that Justin Bieber has visited them!

Well worth stopping by, I'd apparently never had a decent grilled cheese until I went here. Friendly staff, and the food is fast enough to not be an issue, don't be put off by queues because they are surprisingly efficient, it doesn't really make a huge difference. The coleslaw is a bit odd - not sure if it's just a different type or what, but that's definitely not causing me to stop going every time I visit the center of Manchester. If you want comfort food or to have something that will cram you full for the evening then this is the place to go. Seats about 15ish with takeaway a key part if the offer. The main offering is cheese combined with about 6-7 options for added bits like onions, chorizo and pulled pork. All this toasted in thick crusty sourdough bread. I had the sit down option and it was presented nicely and quickly with a garnish pickle and a side of coleslaw. The stuff is fresh and hot (slightly burnt my mouth eating it so worth letting it rest for a few secs) and very very filling. I was stuffed by about 2/3s so can say one portion would provide a filling snack for 2. Drinks wise I had some ginger beer, though coffees, teas and other soft drinks are also available. Don't think alcohol is an option but that's probably a good thing given the nature of the place as a quick food joint and the area being near a pub anyway. Place is chill with soul music blasting (what else!) And the place runs a loyalty stamp card scheme to grab a free grilled cheese after 8 visits. Pricing is mid low, deliberately low on options to keep things easy, shouldn't cost more than £8-9 or so per person inc a drink. Well worth a visit and easy to fit in if you are short on time for a sit down meal and want something hot and nice that isn't actual Mcds or similar.
