Reviews of Grand Pacific

I was attracted to Grand pacific by its interior and high ceiling. It didn’t disappoint me. Very elegant and classy renovation and interior. Warm lighting. We went there for Sunday roast. I like the prawn cocktail, it’s very fresh. Then it comes to the beef 🥩 it’s not too thin which I like it. The Yorkshire pudding was crispy. The duck fat potato was my favourite. Overall wasn’t too bad for that price. It’s £25 for 3 course Sunday roast. But I know there is something better out there.
If you like taking photos and interior. This is definitely the place for you.

What a lovely decandant, eperience we had today at the Grand Pacific on King Street. The history of the place is full of character and is documented in the front of the menu, as it used to be the old Gentleman's Club back in the day. Kudos.
We went for the High Tea today, thinking we were getting a choice of either the savory or the sweet and a Tea or coffee (can be upgraded to wine or champers) - WRONG you get both 😃 which was happy days for us all. And don't worry about the table space as 3 servings can fit on 1 platter.
The staff were great explaining the array of pastries and fillings, the bar is massive and the seating is comfortable with a nice view of King Street if you get a window booth.
We've already booked for NYE can't wait to try something else off the menu.

We visited the Grand Pacific for a couple of drinks last week mid-week. The space itself and the decor is very nice, and there is a great range of cocktails on offer. My only issue was that on two occasions the cocktail I ordered they couldn't make it as they didn't have the correct ingredients. On the second occasion they could make me my second choice but it was still missing one of the elements. For a place of this standard it was a little disappointing but it wouldn't put me off returning.

My husband and I came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and can honestly say we enjoyed everything from start to finish. The ambience is really nice and definitely a place for a date night. Service was flawless, our waiter Genarro was very attentive. Food is very good, we really enjoyed the Korean hot plate and the whole experience of it. Overall I would highly recommend.

Really cozy and nice place! Went for the afternoon tea and was told all was ok. But after being seated it was sold out… Pity!
Had the club sandwich which is highly recommendable. Hope to be back for afternoon tea.

Grand Pacific is now one of my favourite afternoon tea spots in Manchester. Incredibly accommodating and friendly service, I called on the day and we were able to get a high tea booking for 2. It is baby friendly too (no lift but there is a high chair available and you can leave your pram at reception downstairs). The savoury items included avocado sriracha on an oat cake, fried tofu, cheesy Eccles cake, crumpets as well as the more traditional egg mayo and cream cheese cucumber sandwiches. The sweets were Lamingtons, fruit cake, lemon tart, Eton mess, chocolate coated strawberry, strawberry and cream meringue and passionfruit crème brûlée. Controversially there were no scones and the sandwiches could be a bit more creative and flavoursome to keep in line with the rest of the savoury items. My husband and I would definitely go back, I would like to try the vegan 5 course set menu. It is not halal but some good vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. At £23 per person, it is well priced too compared to some local competitors as they do offer an Asian twist in stunning surroundings.

Beautiful place with delicious food. You feel taken back in time, to a different era and a different place. I had been twice, second time I had the spicy Cauliflower, which was really tasty. I would give it 5 stars if the menu would offer a more varied vegetarian selection of main dishes. Still a great experience.

Really nice food the arancini balls were amazing, chicken skewers were tasty but cold, salmon fishcake really good. The curry was nice but really fatty with not much meat this is our second visit to have the curry but was still really fatty the second time. The salmon was very tasty and a good size but very salty. Cocktails were perfectly executed smokey old fashioned was delicious. Wasn't happy with the service charge when there was only 4 of us and the restaurant was basically empty at 12pm. I will go again to try more of the menu.

Fantastic day at the Grand Pacific to celebrate our wedding. Food was great and the service was excellent.. They gave us a lovely secluded table so we felt in our own little bubble. Beautiful art deco surroundings. Everything was just perfect. Staff were brilliant.. Can't thank them enough for making our wedding just amazing. Well done!

Went here for a date with my boyfriend few months ago and we felt like it definitely needed a review. When you first come in you get greeted by the beautiful interior and decor, the whole space just felt very spacious! We had a starter, main, dessert and some cocktails, and we have to say that the food was AMAZING.
We will definitely visit this place again. We give the food and the whole experience 5*

I really love this place, a great long-standing bar and you can see why. The building and decor is beautiful it’s dark and elegant which just makes you feel warm and comfortable. I love sitting at the bar here as it’s a great big comfy bar and you can watch great bartenders at work. The cocktail list is great and they’re all so good, they also have great knowledge so can easily knock up a classic. Staff are friendly and attentive leading to a great experience. Ideal for a relaxed evening or a date. Not tried the food but the menu sounds nice!
K.
We love this place.. it has an old style decadence that is perfect for feeling fancy and special.
The food and drinks offerings are always prepared and served perfectly and with an elegance that matches the building and decor.
We’ve had everything here from Champagne High Tea to private drinks for our stag night and my now husband and I will always return and will always recommend Grand Pacific.. it has a stunning depth of quality and refinery that never fails to deliver and impress.

An amazing evening to celebrate my bday. We loved the food that we’d ordered, although some halal/kosher options would’ve been nice to see on the menu. The mocktails were delicious (especially the seedlip and pomegranate mocktails). John was an amazing waiter for the night! Will definitely be returning to the mcr branch <3

As a mini city break, we had no idea where to go to eat and enjoy ourselves. After doing some research, combined with the gleaming reviews, we couldn't pass up the Grand Pacific in Manchester.
From the outside it is architecturally stunning, and on entry the staff were friendly and welcoming, and helped to show us to our table. Making our way through, the interior decor lived up to the standard of the outside.
We were promptly shown to our table, where our server Ellie graciously introduced herself; Ellie informed us she was a trainee and was still learning, however based on her diligence, professionalism and attentiveness, one would have thought she was a seasoned professional.
For the next few hours, one could only describe it as a symphony of flavours, aromas and good times. We would highly recommend the appetiser sharer platter, and the Old Fashioned in the cocktail menu.
If you're looking for the cheap food going you may be better going elsewhere, however it is most certainly value for money as our time at the Grand Pacific was faultless. It was a shame to 'wave' goodbye, especially as where we live we are 'oceans' away from the nearest one, but our service will certainly 'tide' us over for the next one.
And once again, all credit to Ellie to her service, she has a very bright future ahead of her in this job.

I've visited Grand Pacific quite a few times and they never disappoint. Fantastic setting, real sense of elegance and opulence. The staff are very knowledgeable regarding the menu options and the menu offering is great. There is even the ability to enjoy a culinary experience with the Buri Bop Korean hotplate, though once is probably enough as you are effectively cooking your own dish 😝. The dishes made by the professionals will result in an extremely delectable meal. It is a place you will want to come back to again and again, especially to share with others. It's nice when there's a string quartet playing during Sunday lunch too, just as the cherry on top.
N.
The room is beautiful but it was very loud on a Saturday evening and the food was so-so. I had the Korean hot pot and it was decent but I would have liked more veggies in it. The dessert felt like you could get it at the grocery store.
E. L.
The Sunday lunch was absolutely fantastic! Wonderful surroundings and the best roast ever. The mashed potato was particularly good! Beautifully served and delicious. We can highly recommend it.
A. H.
Lovely high tea...old school, like something out of Downton Abbey. Lovely food and lovely cocktails. A must visit if Manchester
J. F.
Wonderful building, superb service and very friendly professional staff. Elegant and stylish and a great atmosphere. The menu is fresh and varied and the cocktails are great value. Wonderful unique Sunday roast with a string quartet
R. W.
Beautiful space with amazing decor. Would have preferred more children’s options and a larger table for our party, but the quality of food and excellent service more than made up for it. Excellent dining experience.
J. J.
Wonderful place. Worth a visit even just for gazing at the decor and historic features. Warm atmosphere. A real Saturday lunchtime treat. Food was good, very nice menu. Staff were not on the ball on this occasion. Several ridiculous misunderstandings by the hostess and the waiter, spoiled what was otherwise an excellent lunch.

Went to this restaurant for the first time to celebrate a birthday. The decor and ambience was excellent and elegant but it was very noisy and had to struggle to hear what the waiter was saying to us. Even though i had mentioned in the booking that it was for a birthday and would appreciate a slice of cake/dessert which I was happy to pay extra for as a surprise I received no acknowledgement of the request. Why ask for special requests if it will not be taken into account? The presentation of the food was very good but not as menu described it. Ordered the tiger prawn cocktail as starters but by no means were those tiny prawns anywhere close to tiger prawns. Other members of the party also ordered a prawn dish as main and we literally counted 4 small prawns in the whole dish again. Just mainly noodles in the whole dish. My family stated that no one could go wrong with creme brulee but again it was cold. I would recommend improving the taste of the food for the price. I agree it was busy given it was around the Christmas holidays but water was not even offered or replenished. No value for money.
K. D.
I was actually just here for my friends birthday. She hired out one of the private rooms - it has this Louisiana / creole - French style look and feel with the wooden shutters. It didn’t match the Asian theme but I loved the look of the restaurant going in.
Unfortunately I had to leave early, but I had my cod to go, which was amazing. The duck gyoza’s weren’t special but the vibes / look of the building just captured me! Recommend
G. I. C.
Best Sunday roast we have ever eaten. Beef melts in your mouth that’s full of flavour. The dining room is exquisite and the staff have all been very well selected.
D. Y.
This is hands down my favourite place to go in the whole of the UK. The styling, the atmosphere, the food, everything is absolute perfection! I’ve been for evening drinks with friends and had one of every cocktail on the menu, go for the signature Golden Pineapple, or the Singapore Sling. I’ve also been for the Sunday Roast dinner and it was honestly one of the nicest meal experience I’ve ever had.
T. C.
Went for afternoon tea with my person., The architecture within the building is really interesting, the waiter was attentive and explained the foods well, tried a tea I have not tried before and the food was really delicious, well paced meal, tap water offered, really enjoyed our time, highly recommend, ideal for an intimate date, also looked as if folks be having business type meetings, tables well spaced out and tidy.
The tiny everything food filled us well, it's some kind of magic.
V. A.
Absolutely amazing.
Best restaurant in town
Fabulous surroundings. Very friendly staff.
Menu is just 1st class and the food is amazing and reasonably priced for the centre of town
Cannot recommend grand Pacific highly enough.
E. G.
Food was absolutely incredible, would particularly recommend the lamb curry and the strawberry trifle. We were served by John and he was lovely, very personable and super helpful! Definitely recommend for the experience, feels like a slice of luxury

We came for valentines day and the service was great. Had to ring up and explain we were running late and the lady on the phone was lovely and said it wasn't a problem at all. The steak was perfectly cooked for both me and my partner who have different tastes when it comes to how a steak is cooked his being rare and mine being medium/medium well, the chips and caramelised onions just made it even better. My only reservation was i did want to try the chocolate fondant but couldn't due to issues with the oven, this was probably a good thing though due to being stuffed from the steak. Our server Matty was excellent, couldn't praise him enough, he provided great customer service and was incredible personable and attentive to our needs and questions (im very fussy with food) Will definitely be back to try more items of the menu and that chocolate fondant! Made our night :)
S. W.
Stunning building. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing cocktails.
T. Q.
Lovely old building. Service was quick considering it was two deep at the bar. Bit short on the measures in the cocktails but apart from that we enjoyed it
P. H.
I had a fabulous birthday lunch, with my husband and daughters. The food and service was excellent. The restaurant is so luxurious and well worth a visit, I truly recommend.
G. M.
Buzzing, upmarket bar in city centre. Mixed crowd. Definitely geared towards cocktails and spirits market, beers are all bottled. Book a table beforehand if youre a group. Didn't eat but food looked good. Nice place, I'll go back for sure.
L. O.
Lovely food. We had a great waiter. Definitely recommend the chicken skewers and the cottage pie
S.
loved this place, the atmosphere and people were fab, the staff worked so hard and always had a smile on their faces, definitely want to go back 😍
F. O. O.
A great restaurant, advertised by Google as a cocktail bar. Impressive interior decor with fabulous sights across the city of Manchester. Our waiter was attentive and very helpful as was the manager, brought in to discuss options with regards to nut allergies.
The food; Asian fusion, was superb. Delicately flavoured. Not too spicy. Beautifully presented. A meal for 5 of us came to £144, including a £30 bottle of Malbec. Not for the faint hearted but a very good evening out was enjoyed by all.
R. W.
Sumptuous environment to enjoy a drink with friends, underpinned by helpful and friendly staff.
N. P.
I came here for a romantic meal with the Mrs. It was the perfect atmosphere and setting; it's definitely the grand in the Grand Pacific.
For appetisers we had the tiger prawn cocktail and duck gyoze. The duck had fantastic flavour, crunch and texture, and the tiger prawns were good with the sauce, it could have had a few more prawns though to appreciate the flavour.
For mains the waiter recommended the lamb massaman curry and roast salmon dishes. Both dishes were amazing and full of flavour. I was not expecting these dishes to be as good as they were. I would recommend the lamb curry especially, this dish is made with tender lamb slow cooked for 8 hours.
After eating all of this, we had a dessert to share and opted for the strawberry and hibiscus trifle. Needless to say, this was the probably one of the best trifles we've had.
Overall great service and great food, definitely recommend.
M. S.
I love Grand Pacific's concept, service and interiors absolutely! Oh those pineapples everywhere ^^ I celebrated my birthday there at first, and ever since have been a customer and a recipient of their newsletter. I highly recommend to you too to do so because time to time they announce special offers, and they are pretty good ones.
N. W.
Great place. Service is brilliant. Especially from Jonny!
G. R.
This place is a hidden gem in Manchester. Unique gothic feel with brilliant staff and even better cocktails. Great for a date or classy drink with friends. Been here many times and always draws me back. Highly recommended.
P. C.
Yes I'd go again.
Sunday roast menu looks good as well
D. L.
Beautiful place, dark wood and colonial style. The food was good - went for an assortment of appetisers which were all nicely presented and tasty. Duck dumplings were the best among the three (veggie fritters and wasabi hummus). Service was appropriate but a bit haughty.
M. M.
It is a beautiful building, staff were also nice but very average food, glasses were dirty so I asked to change them and no ventilation so you can smell the kitchen in some parts of building
E. i. M.
If fancy dining that feels exquisite is your thing, head on to Grand Pacific
Grand Pacific is truly grand, where it makes you feel like royalty with welcoming service in an epic, well decorated venue. All that alongside the music makes you know that you’re in for a lovely meal and that we did - all helping us forget that it was a long meal that did not feel that way because it was such a good place to be.
We were trying out the Sunday Roast menu, for which they had a vegetarian option and after having seen the dessert options, we definitely weren’t saying no. It’s 2 courses for £21.95 and 3 courses for £24.95, which isn’t bad at all considering you’re getting all the trimmings.
Starters of;
Chilled Vietnamese Spring Rolls (prawn) - The sesame sauce was absolutely awesome, and prawns in the rolls are in really little pieces that you don’t even notice they’re there. We absolutely loved this dish especially with the pretty little flowers.
Poached Asparagus [v] - This was a soft boiled egg with asparagus and these were classic items that made for a good starter. And especially more so dipped in the hollandaise sauce
The Lychee & Mint mocktail was really fresh, and refreshing - would recommend this one.
Mains of;
Spiced Cauliflower [v] - This was a massive (half a) cauliflower in a sesame like sauce. It looked really flavoursome, and we wondered whether it would be. It didn’t disappoint and it was such a good mix of flavours, with pomegranates adding a sweet touch.
Trimmings - Every trimming and then some. There were carrots, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, gravy and bean salad. Every single thing had its own flavours and tasted just as good separately as well as with other stuff
Desserts (hot & cold) of;
Chocolate Fondant [v] - The salted caramel chocolate fondant was pure gooey goodness, and did not need anything else with it. So good that we didn’t even notice the fruit sides and meringue pieces
Iced Peanut Butter Parfait [v] - So smooth, peanut butter ice cream went down nicely. There were chocolate crumbs and brittle, and we were expecting it to be really rich but it wasn’t. It’s perfect to end a filling meal
When we want to feel fancy, we’re heading back here for sure!
Recommendation Rating: High

Beautiful place with unique interior. We have booked a table for High Tea for 2. Food was amazing! Savory and sweet food selection came separately so we had a lot of time for a little break in between 😉 oh have I mentioned that they are serving really tasty coffee 😍 and staff is very polite. Comparing this place to GJS's Afternoon Tea I need to admit it is far more unique and delicious here.
A. C.
I do love this place. It’s truly unique interior gives it such an opulent feel. My only gripe, which knocks it down to four stars, is the food. Now, it’s not bad by any stretch, but I’ve often found myself underwhelmed.
The Thali sharing plate is to die for. Best dish on the menu.
The steak sandwich is good, but not fantastic. The bread is a little thin and basic, and the steak not pink enough despite being warned it would be pink, and me stating the pinker, the better.
The Massaman curry was way too heavy on the star anise. It overpowered the dish and became too much after just a few mouthfuls, so half of it was left.
The pineapple cheesecake was good, but nothing special. I expected more from such a grand venue.
This place has the potential to be utterly fabulous, but the food does need to be taken up just a few notches.
S. L.
I really like this place. The interior is so beautiful and spacious. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Also, the food is quite good!
R. M. (. B.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful restaurant. Very reasonably priced for central Manchester. Highly recommended.
Update 2022
Back again. Still amazing. Super friendly staff. Excellent food and at a fair price.
Best restaurant in town

What a really great place to relax, soak in the scenery & have some truly great food.
Great service from start to finish, all the food looked delicious & tasted devine.
Certainly recommend this venue for a great night out with good friends or someone special.
I. F.
Oh wow! My type of restaurant to a 'T'! A lovely building, tastefully restored, friendly helpful staff and a menu I wanted to order everything on. We had gone to Manchester for a concert which turned out to be a disappointment but Grand Pacific turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Recommended. We'll certainly be back next time we're in the city.
K. R.
Both the food and the service was exceptional. Staff where quick, happy to assist with any requests and made the meal fantastic. Amazing venue with outstanding managment and even better waiting on staff. One of the nicest places i have ever eaten.
A. C.
The food was nice and our wine glasses were constantly topped up. The grand staircase leading up to the dinning area is amazing. It’s the second time that we’ve visited and we’d come back again.
C. J.
We had a mixed experience for our festive afternoon tea for our group of 8 today. The restaurant was virtually empty, however our service was a little disappointing. 5 of us had either fizz or champagne but yet the other 3 people weren't allowed’ to order their tea or a soft drink. Nobody properly offered or gave us the choice of when we could have our ‘1’ hot drink! Nobody described the different parts of the food we were served and the vegetarian guest had her food served on the same plates as the non veggie! One guest was given hot milk with her tea- most unusual. When we had finished, nobody cleared our plates or anything away and we stayed chatting for at least half an hour after all plates were empty. The staff were very pleasant, but those of us who wanted our tea with our cakes had to wait a little too long. It was a lovely venue and the food was nice just the overall experience wasn’t as good as I know from my usually experience of evening meals and cocktails from here. I’d appreciate someone calling me if possible. Thank you
K. B.
This is a very well finished restaurant, lighting is perfect and then music not too loud. An adequate variety of well crafted cocktails and great food on offer. The staff were attentive and friendly, i will be going back :)

Good location, good food, very nice ambience. Great place to visit with family. Menu is very good. service is good. décor and ceiling is amazing. Tried cocktails and lunch menu. 5*

Came with a large group a couple of weeks ago and had such a good meal. Great place and atmosphere! Our server was amazing too, davide I think his name was sorry can't remember properly cos you were great. Quality of food and service was incredible for such a large group and great wine too. Would definitely recommend
V. A.
Had a great afternoon tea there, available on the day! Service was also excellent
C. F.
Setting and decor is amazing! Really well done restaurant and bar. Food was well below the level expected. Compulsory service charge for very little attention wasn’t received well
D. D.
Had a lovely "business lunch". Two courses for £15. Service was great. Place was amazing. Would definitely go back.
A. C.
The highlight of this restaurant is the setting itself. It’s a beautiful building which has been beautifully decorated. They run a Victorian theme and on Sundays they have a violinists playing live music which provides an air of grandeur.
I had the top side of beef. The vegetables & potatoes were perfect but the meat I was originally served was full of gristle and extremely tough. I complained and the manager brought me a new plate with fresh meat which was spot on. My partner said the cocktails were some of the nicest she’d ever tried. Well worth a visit when your planning your next Sunday roast!
R. N.
This is the best afternoon tea in Manchester. I've tried them all, sure there are some nice things here and there but this is the best all rounder. A lovely atmosphere, excellent presentation which adds to the experience and well thought out flavours to the food items. After three visits I can now highly recommended this to anyone who enjoys afternoon tea, I've had no complaints and will be visiting again soon.
K. F.
Cocktail list was huge! Really lovely selection to choose from... salted caramel espresso martini definitely a fav!
L. n.
The restaurant looks great and high class. Friendly staff and good service. I had an enjoyable lunch with my friend. Definitely will come again
S. H.
Wonderful Building, great decor, excellent staff & fabulous Sunday Lunch.
L. B.
The cocktails are delicious! Food is a bit hit and miss. We had the Christmas Dinner menu. Tasty starter and dessert but the main was underwhelming.
L. K.
Came for drinks post lockdown. Cocktails were lovely. Loads of choice and looked really inpressive. Service was a bit slow but it was busy.
Felt very safe, tables are all very well distanced and it was table service only. Even the people sat at the bar were well spread apart and all staff were wearing visors.
D. K.
Visited last week for Sunday lunch. Loved it. Top food and excellent service. Will be back!
M. S.
Such a beautiful bar. Great range of cocktails and lovely staff. Highly recommend.
L. G.
Second time visiting. Has a great atmosphere and never fell rushed. Stayed for n extra bottle of wine after the food. Will come back next time I'm In the area.
D. F.
A really nice dining experience, tentitive staff, good food, wonderful building.
We had a party of 18 and ate in the private dining room, fantastic.
P. S.
Such a unique lovely place never been in anything like it . 2nd visit here cocktails amazing and great detail the masaman lamb curry wasn't as good this time it was a different colour the sauce to the first time we've had it .
M. P.
Amazing food and cocktails, the sunday roast was delicious. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Live classical music in the day and a fantastic fancy bar to try in the evening!
P. B.
I was stunned by the decor and ambiance building. Food and service scores over 10. Celebrating two friends birthdays and a festive get together was made more enjoyable by Kieran (hope I spelt this right). His honest and humour personality paid greart attributes to the service we received throughout the afternoon. Nothing was too much trouble, and as said earlier his sense of humour was top billing. He recommended a wine at which we have to admit 5 bottles was exceptional. Big thank you to my dinning friends, Kieran and Grand Pacific for making it a day to remember.
C. H.
Decor and staff wonderful. Afternoon tea disappointing. Main menu food was better
e. m.
Lovely staff, great food with big portion sizes and scenery was exquisite

The most amazing food and cocktails. Would definitely visit again and the interior is so lovely !

Went with the 50% off in January. Good food and cracking décor. First time visit and had a good time 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
M. S.
Great atmosphere. Drinks reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.
L. L.
Amazing food and lovely staff. Felt very looked after and the whole experience was brilliant. Gorgeous building too. Highly recommended.

Took my husband to Manchester for the weekend for his birthday a few weeks back.
I booked Grand Pacific for his birthday on the Saturday.
It was so so stunning. I was worried it may be style no substance like just somewhere where you can take nice photos. But the food was incredible. We are both vegetarian and although there wasn't a great deal of choice, we both chose something different from each other and both meals were lush. We had 3 courses and each course was amazing.
The staff were also really great - very friendly and attentive. They did a little celebration dessert for my husband as well.
I really want to go back to Manchester because we had a great time but specifically want to visit Grand Pacific again. I keep looking longingly at their Instagram page.
Also want to add that the prices are really reasonable. The setting is quite luxurious and the food is presented in such a nice way that it may seem like it would be quite pricey there but it's really affordable, especially as it was a special occasion.
v. 8.
Stunning building, architecture and decor just beautiful.
Attentive staff, good atmosphere.
Food portions were a little on the small side but tasty and well presented nonetheless
D. T.
Chicken nuggets are delicious ! Also smokey lld fashine cocktails looked great!
M. S.
Beautiful restaurant. Lovely place for afternoon tea. Decor inside looks really nice for pictures!
H. R. P.
Had the Sunday lunch and it was my birthday. It was absolutely amazing. A little string quarter was playing music. It was just a splendid afternoon. The children 7 and 8, really enjoyed it too. Highly recommended.
Z. C.
Lovely location, brilliant for pics and great food and drinks too!
V. K.
Nice atmosphere and live music. Sunday roast was delicious 🤤 great experience.
T. K.
Great atmosphere, drinks menu and food, all at very reasonable prices. Staff were also welcoming and friendly.
H. R.
I’d say over rated. It’s the best in town…but it will never be as good as any place in London.
V. L.
Great venue beautiful inside. We reserved a few tables for drinks and some food. Staff were really polite and attentive. Would happily recommend and return.
R. M.
Visited on Saturday 24 July as part of my friends hen party and couldn’t fault our experience! Our waiter John was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. Food was incredible and the setting was beautiful. Will definitely visit again if I’m in Manchester.
S. E.
Love it here so much. Great drinks, amazing atmosphere.
F. I.
Stunning place. To pay a visit is a must. I can't bring anything new to the table that hasn't been said in previous reviews. We had our Xmas party in a near restaurant so we came her before for drinks and despite being crowded it still was a lot of fun. Of course, the prices match the experience but you can treat yourself every once in a while
F. Y.
Perfect place
Excellent service
Brilliant food
H.
Lovely restaurant and beautiful food! Ordered a simple roast dinner but it was the best we’d had. Also loved the cauliflower Dahl dish! Received amazing service too by a lovely waiter (wish I could remember his name)
S. M.
I visited here with my sister for high tea. It was absolutely amazing. Staff were friendly and attentive. The surroundings are very impressive. A great place.
P. S.
Great food in a great venue, very good place to book for a special occasion.
J. P.
Treated the wife to a Birthday Sunday lunch and it's was as expected. Excellent! Atmosphere, service and quality all spot on. Thank you
S. C.
Great experience. Well presented food. Attentive staff
M. I.
Stylish bar - very grand. Good atmosphere and great for a cocktail or 2. Prices a little high but good service.
N. O.
Lovely food at Grand Pacific. Been here before and really enjoyed it. Tasty food and cocktails and I would recommend it.
D. D.
Lovely bar
and one of the best sunday lunches in Manchester
S. H.
The Grand Pacific is very grand and the team there very helpful and the service was good.....
We booked high tea, online specifying a gluten/dairy free and vegan....I had 3 emails to cofirm etc our reservation, each mentioning the dietary requirements....but when we arrived we were told that we could not have high tea as there was nothing we could have for gluten/dairy free and vegan....disappointed but told we could choose off the menu and we were offered a complementary round of drinks. All good....except I (not g/f, d/f or vegan) could not order the club sandwich as it was Saturday....not that the menus says this...turned out kitchen was not doing any sandwiches....apart for those on the high teas being eaten by other customers. It is a lovely place and the satff are very attentive and the drinks were good but I would just add that it maybe the Grand Pacific but they need to be more specific when dealing with the detail.
J. C.
Lovely art deco style interior with cocktails to match. Crowds a bit noisy though never got too rowdy. Our fault for visiting on a Saturday night!
L. L.
First and foremost an afternoon tea experience wouldn’t (pardon the upcoming pun) be my cup of tea however after visiting on Saturday 17th November I was blown away by this venue and it’s food & drink
Would recommend to anyone, very nice and relaxing
E. T.
Absolutely incredible food and good service. Definitely recommend.
F. R.
Top notch experience be it food, drinks or the ambience. Loved it and will come back for sure.
E. P.
Really beautiful place, calm atmosphere and polite staff.
Loved the platter starter we had.
Drinks were lovely and a fair price.
D. W.
Gorgeous afternoon tea with scrumptious cocktails and stunning decor. Perfect place to meet up with friends especially during these covid times! The staff were brilliant too, so friendly and attentive.
Highly recommended 👌.
G. B.
Such an amazing atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend. The staff were absolutely lovely and were very polite and friendly.
N. N.
Very classy place for a drink. Amazing atmosphere. Feels very luxurious.
G. H.
Came here for a night out in a previous life (before COVID) and it had a great atmosphere. Visited this week for a quiet lunch with my wife and daughter. Attentive staff, great space and excellent food. Faultless - would highly recommend for any occasion. Thanks.
J. G.
Great cocktails and lovely building, enjoyed every minute.
H.
Friendly staff, great service, cool place, great food :)
U.
The staff left me waiting in an odd way. Looked me right in the eyes, and then just moved away while obviously not being busy.
Not a very welcoming place, but the look is gorgeous. Tried the roast salmon with some rice and that was great, but the chicken appetizer not so much
D. O.
Food was excellent and the staff were really attentive
S. S.
Amazing service. The building is beautiful and the interior design is breathtaking. I'd love to get to know the history of the building itself.
The food portions were quite small and pricey but the flavour more than made up for it.
The bacon on the burger (for an additional cost of £1.50) is super crispy 👏🏽 the burger itself was a very good portion
Top class service from the waiting team. One person will be assigned to your table and make sure you're okay all night. If you're there late they'll let you know before the kitchen closes to make any last orders
I will definitely return
G. T.
Beautiful building. Great service and good food (but not excellent).
A. G.
Went for high tea and it was delightful. Great atmosphere and decent food
D. M.
Great food, great service and lovely place.
J. C.
Fantastic service, amazing cocktails and great food. Visited here yesterday and sampled many cocktails and found all to be perfectly presented and very tasty. First time attending but definitely won't be the last. All the staff were very attentive and you couldn't fault the service at all.
L. H.
The atmosphere is fantastic, old vintage building with a violin band playing modern songs. I couldn't recommend this place more for a quiet sophisticated drink with the added touch of class
S. M.
Great food great staff definitely going again 👍
T. W.
This place is absolutely stunning! Everyone from the front of house to the waiters and management took so much care of us and made our experience one we will never forget. We went on Sunday where we had the Sunday roast and it was the best we've ever had ,along with the surroundings we also had the pleasure of watching a live classical Quartet which took the experience from amazing to magical! Get this booked and you will be in awe and will be reminiscing on it for many years to come. Staff was warm welcoming ,the food was gorgeous ,the building was breathtaking so all in all it isais 10/10 and we can't wait to go back 😍
N. W.
Stupid price for afternoon tea. Staff great.
P. S.
Late afternoon cocktails with work colleagues. Very good quality. Atmospheric decor. Not too busy so served quickly.
A. G.
We were flustered as we were 30 mins late (of course called to prewarn) and Bogdan was our server and he immediately put us at ease. He told us to take our the me when we thought we should rush. Top class server, top class venue, top class food, top class Provence 😍 thanks Team x
D. F.
A beautiful bar but book in advance otherwise the doormen are awkward about letting folk in.
Z. K.
Lovely restaurant, and super friendly staff. Would recommend.
R. P.
Super friendly staff, cheap prices
E. S.
Oh my gosh where do I start - amazing meal, amazing service, beautiful building. When we got to the restaurant they had just suffered from a power cut - so offered us free cocktails as compensation! What a great way to start a meal. Even though we were waiting for an hour for the power to come back on, our waitress was so lovely and kept us updated on the progress with the technical issue so we felt well informed and perfectly happy. When the power finally came back, service was quick and incredibly friendly. We ordered the sharing platter to start and it was absolutely delicious - especially the chicken skewers. Our mains were equally as lovely, as well as our dessert of a chocolate fondant and a couple more cocktails 😋 Seriously high standards from Grand Pacific - and for us coming from London, at a really decent price. Lovely bottle of Malbec as well! I could write even more about the fab experience we had but I will just sign off by saying thank you to every member of staff that made our visit to Manchester and Grand Pacific so wonderful. We will definitely be back! And thank you for the extra 30% off for our troubles. You We ended up spending about four hours in the restaurant after the wait for electricity 😂 and had a great time. Thanks so much!
S. H.
Absolutely amazing place. Went for ore show drinks and a meal. Service and food were definitely the best we've had in a long long time.
E. M.
Stunning interior, great service (timely, friendly, professional, helpful), lovely atmosphere, delicious food. Small but mighty menu, and the food presentation was beautiful. The cocktails were really good too. I'll definitely be back.
K. M.
Good food, smaller portions than we thought and the resturant said they ran out of chips... even though it was pretty quiet that night. Lovely and attentive staff though!
E. R.
Luxurious inside with friendly staff and excellent food and drinks options, good prices also!
J. L.
Beautiful restaurant and building with original features and windows throughout. Amazing themed retro jungle room style decor with high ceilings, perfect for a date or romantic meal. The drinks are well made with a lot of choice. Not the cheapest bar but the quality is high. The food menu is really good and pretty reasonably priced for how nice the venue is, worth visiting if you've never been before, looks it's best after dark.
j. h.
Very nice bar, upscale and classy, and coming from London, prices are reasonable. I would recommend the smoked old fashion which was fabulous.
R. O.
Absolutely stunning had such an amazing meal with my boyfriend here, excellent service and a gorgeous interior.
D. H.
Great food, staff and ambiance! well worth a visit. Make sure you have an Old Smokey Cocktail they are fantastic !
T.
Went for birthday drinks with my partner and they were great! Really wonderful bar staff that was friendly and conversational and made drinks that tasted divine. Ambience and atmosphere were phenomenal and the decor is quite unique and a lot of fun. A really lovely posh place to spend a few hours and get some great sights of the city from a slightly elevated point of view. Would highly recommend!
M. W.
What a surprise!! It's as lovely interior with loads of plush fittings and seating. The cocktails are amazing.
j. h.
Unbelievable experience from start to finish. My wife and I enjoyed a couple of cocktails to start. The guys who made the cocktails were great. Very friendly. We were shown to our table and the dining area is superb. You get what you pay for. We enjoyed a starter and a main course each and a bottle of champagne. Amazing service and value and a fantastic experience that we will be repeating again. We have been raving about it to all our friends. Thank you and well done.
W.
Had a lovely evening, food was great, would recommend the duck gyoza and glazed chicken skewers. Service was great, Greg was extremely helpful and friendly throughout our entire meal. Would definetly visit again!
L. B.
Had afternoon high tea was displayed beautifully . Food was ok. Wasn't keen on the smoked salmon and sushi mix in the dish was a little sloppy thought I would like as I enjoy sushi &wasabi too. Would have been good to have a few more sandwiches instead as we had too many egg mayo and not enough of anything else. Very friendly lady serving us . Welcome desk was just ok . We couldn't keep up with the lady showing us to the table. I am 6 months pregnant but my oh couldn't keep up with her either. She seemed a little angry. The guy who was on the welcome desk was a little rude as he was telling the girl showing us to our table " put them on table .... "And didn't even acknowledge us.

My wife and I went here for our Halloween/anniversary meal. Food was serviceable, but bad value for money.
Main:
My wife had the curry which came with rice and potatoes, but was required to purchase yet another side as they said the plate did not constitute a sufficient meal to buy alcohol with. She liked the curry and gunpowder potatoes, but accidentally bit into a large piece of star anise. Not sure why you wouldn't either take it out when serving or grind that up with the other spices once toasted, but I guess it's a matter of style.
When I ordered the ribeye steak without wasabi creme fraiche (I am lactose intolerant) and asked for it to be rare, the server spoke down to me about how tough a rare ribeye would be. If a ribeye steak is still tough after 28 days of dry aging, something has gone terribly wrong. They didn't offer to replace the creme fraiche with anything.
I ordered their fried rice on the side, which was lukewarm and dry, but the flavors were fine.
Drinks:
My wife ordered two drinks, the first had a chili in it and was quite nice, the second was a tall glass overflowing with ice and a small amount of liquid. She was pleased with the first but not the second. I tried to order a gibson, but they don't carry cocktail onions, I then requested a dry vodka martini, but they don't have olives (the excuse was that they aren't a mediterranean restaurant...) so I settled for a twist of lemon. They came back with a glass of chilled vodka without a hint of vermouth, I ordered another to fill the time after.
Dessert:
We followed up with my wife getting the chocolate fondant, which was apparently very nice, and I ordered the vegan panna cotta. The sorbet that came with the panna cotta was delicious and smooth, but the panna cotta itself was grainy and claggy so I didn't finish it, probably too much gelatin.
When the bill came, I found a service charge already applied, I asked them to take it off as I didn't think the service was exceptional (it took about half an hour to get service, the place was busy). When the bill was returned, the manager started questioning why I requested the service charge be taken off, I started to list the problems I had with the meal, but cut myself off and told her that I just wanted to pay the bill.
The decor was nice, but I left relatively hungry and mildly disappointed.
S. D.
Loved this place so much, went with friends for a treat. The food, drinks and service were great, we couldn't fault it. Given the quality and presentation, the prices are reasonable. Would recommend it to anyone.
l. s.
Loverly place an food afternoon tea a delightful day
C. W.
Awe beautiful building . The service is excellent and food was absolutely delicous. Staff very helpful in helping choose from the menu too. Will definately come again
s. c.
Most amazing food and great history too
H. O.
Have you ever eaten in Grand Pacific ? It is a very good restaurant . Yesterday was the Boxing Day . I went there with my parents . Their waiters were all very polite . Not just waiters , but also food ! The main dishes such as turkey was delicious . At last , we ordered the Christmas dessert . There are a lot of small cakes . If I go to Grand Pacific again at Christmas holiday , I must order it again .
S. O.
Food was very good and we really liked how the new waiter was being trained. He did an excellent job as did everyone else. Thanks all
G. L.
Me and my partner can honestly say the food here was the best food we have ever eaten and we will continue to recommend it to everyone. The entire experience was amazing from the decor to our waitress, Konstantina, who was one of the most welcoming people we have ever met and helped us with every need and question we had. If it was possible to give more stars we would and we will definitely be back. Thank you.
B. H.
Lovely bar, great atmosphere. Cocktails are fabulous
J. W.
Great service, the food was exceptional, incredible cocktails, and really reasonably priced. The decor of the place is on point.
S. W.
Absolutely fantastic service and a lovely ambiance
G. D.
We went as a couple on a Sunday night in January 19. There was a 50% off food offer at the time. We managed one of a limited remaing table bookings for 2045hrs. Place was pretty busy...lots of people atmosphere and loads of decorative character. Service was pretty good and food was quality. We had a very enjoyable evening and with the food offer felt great value. Would recommend.
J. W.
Simply awesome! Venue, food, service. Cannot reccommend highly enough. We ordered mixed kebab & seafood & veggie sharing platter for Starters, I had Tuna steak & noodles & edame beans for Main, then raspberry coulis with mixed ice creams for dessert.
Stunningly beautiful inside the restaurant.
Thanks to all @ Grand Pacific for an amazing meal & amazing experience, will definitely come again 🤩
M. V.
Restaurant and bar in an amazing setting. Building architecture itself is beautiful and the interior design and detailing is elegant and stylish. Good menu and delicious food. Have also been a number of times just for drinks at the bar. Great selection of beers and spirits as well as making a good cocktail. All of the staff are really friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.
L. L.
Fairly pricey but oh my god is it worth it. The food, the cocktails, the staff, even the way the place looked - you can't fault it at all. We had pre-dinner drinks and a 3-course meal with cocktails and wine and it was perfect. I've recommended it to a few friends too. If I could give it 6 stars I would
J. F.
Impressive interior and very good food and service.
C. J.
Wonderful place to eat. Lovely surroundings
P. W.
Really nice busy bar, great vibe and good choice of drinks
j.
Stylish classy interior with a warm welcome from all staff. Service all night was quick and friendly, amazing quality for a Saturday night. Food was absolutely lovely. Asian fusion at it's best with a good variety of oriental dishes. The tempura sea bass is delicious and all the meals come in big portions. Cocktail list is big and after trying a few are mostly sublime. Would definitely reccomend for a luxurious asian cuisine and drinks.
J. W.
Delicious, well presented food in a very nice environment. The portions were generous and the service polite and swift. Great vegan options and plenty of variety on the menu. It was also priced really well, I highly recommend.
L. P.
Spectacular venue. Expect to pay a premium but, my goodness, is it worth it! Outstanding service coupled with delicious food and even better drinks makes for an evening you won't forget. I'll definitely be back, as will my friends. My diary can barely constrain itself.
S. S.
Came here for drinks on this occasion although the food here is very delicious also.
Price tag is high but you do get quality and creativity with both your food and drinks.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Bar staff very skillful - great to watch!
M. P.
Had an amazing evening, beautiful food, drinks and ambiance! It was our anniversary and the staff were so friendly and even gave us a special and unexpected anniversary treat! Thank you so much for making it a perfect night and can't wait to come back soon!
L. C.
I came here last week for the first time and wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere is great, the staff are very attentive and although the drinks came after the starter arrived the server apologised beforehand that there was a delay in serving drinks which is the reason I have given 5 stars! I would definitely recommend it, the Sunday roast is delicious!
M. C. (. b. K. K.
I went here for my birthday and it wasn't great but OK. The menu is pretty simple and I wouldn't say there is a lot to choose from, I chose the pan fried chicken with veg and I must say it was absolutely AWFUL chicken and cream cheese is a bad combo for me, I almost vomit, I wasn't aware it had a cheese source and the chicken was very dry and was clearly roasted not pan fried. I also had the platter some Thai platter or whatever its called and that was a dream, beautiful taste exploding in my mouth, I would return just for that and the cold pressecco. The venue was very busy near the bar which was a turn off but hey its a bar n eatery I would return again but avoiding that awful dish.
M. M.
Had a gin with tonic! Nice place, loved it!
J. B.
One of the few places that would take a booking of 11 people. The building, bar and dining area are architecturally stunning. The service was good. We enjoyed our food but some of us thought there could have been more flavour in the dishes.
A. B.
Amazing bar and restaurant! It was perfect for a private dining experience. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food and drinks were all fantastic and we loved our time there!
M. C. C.
Very atmospheric great food too.
J. L.
Amazing bar, Love the new location. The new look is beautiful and classy. All the same amazing cocktails and food as the old building. Up stairs now, but with much more space and a new personality. You can still book OR you can just walk in.
D. Y.
Nice ambience and interesting cocktails. Would like to try out dinner here and few more cocktails
P. H.
The decor is spectacular, the food first class, couldn't fault it. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and the staff are very helpful, friendly and professional . Can't wait to go back.
The Tempura sea bass was to die for.
P. S.
Amazing. What a truly wonderful and inspired restaurant and menu in the most spectacular of settings. Having been a fan of the late Tim Bacon's many restaurants around Manchester we were very excited to visit Grand Pacific - clearly was a labour of love for him in the amazing Reform Club. Love everything about it. Great flavours, beautiful drinks menu and excellent service. Highly recommended!!
P. “. B.
A little gem in the centre of Manchester. Serves great cocktails in a lovely wood panalled room which has a great relaxed atmosphere.
It also serves food although we've never easy there so can't comment on quality etc.
M. L.
Did the business lunch - delicious food and excellent service in such a beautiful building, definitely recommend and we will be going back👍
K. P.
I came to the Grand Pacifc with two friends for my 21st, and despite the current Covid-19 situation I still had an amazing time. The staff were friendly and attentive, and it was very clean (and beautiful of course) I'd come back again for the atmosphere alone :) It's not a view that I get to see every day, and it's hard to not enjoy yourself in such a beautiful resturant. I'd actually go as far as to say that I prefer to it to The Renaissance hotel in London. My first time in Manchester, and it won't be my last
G. H.
Lovely place . My friend had her birthday afternoon tea here. The prosecco lunch was lovely. The atmosphere was the best part with a live musicians in the corner. Just lovely . Would 100% recommend & definately be back .
M. B.
Truly amazing food. I didn't expect it to be good THIS GOOD. Will definitely be back.
Baked bananas are to die for 💓
R. C.
Nice atmosphere and spacious. Very cool interior design. Food was modern and tasty.
J. d.
A visually studding room. The staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is limited and slightly above average price. The drinks are excellent. The food is ok.
C.
Went on a works xmas lunch. I wont be eating here again. For a roast turkey main there was very little gravy on the plate no extra provided. The roast potatoes were not good, looked crispy coated but were like rocks to break into. Overall I wasnt very impressed. The building on the orher hand is glorious so I would say it is worth going for a drink here.
A. M.
The restaurant is pretty but in needs better Service. We arrived and there was nobody to welcome us even though we already had a reservation. Food was OK but there was nothing extraordinary despite the price. I probably would not recommend or go back.
K. O.
One of my favourite restaurants in Manchester.
M. M.
A wonderful restaurant that not only looks amazing but serves incredible food. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Pricey but not extortionate and well worth it. Will definitely go again.
R. F.
Just superb!!! The building, decor, drinks and food are exceptionally good. The service is smart and efficient and the ambiance is spot on. You probably realise that we really enjoyed this bar and restaurant - we'll be back soon!!!
t.
Average service but delicious food and drinks. Loses a star because we were asked to wait for our table then forgotten about. Eventually seated 35 minutes after reservation. Otherwise very good.
G. W.
Great looking place totally impressed By the decor and the staff , but as we waited for our table to be ready we bought two small glasses of house white wine from the bar £12 !!!!!!! 😲 The meal was the usual story great tasting starters and slightly disappoint mains . We would visit again , but no pre dinner drink . The meal it's self was responsible in price at £85 including wine .
d. s.
Gorgeous cocktails! What a beautiful building! Felt very special.
A. P.
Great atmosphere and decor. Good for just drinks as it has a large bar area, but food is nice too. Book early as it's hard to get a table at weekends.
E. J.
Such an interesting place, the minute you walk in the door the place impressed me. The walk up the stair case towards the bar was amazing. Everything looked so art deco.
The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the price of the drink. It was highly overpriced.
P. B.
Very classy venue for a meal in a beautiful setting. Great selection of drinks, including cocktails and wine. Food is good ranging from afternoon tea to bar snacks and restaurant dining. Really helpful and friendly staff - not the cheapest venue but good quality and high standards.
L. M.
My favourite bar in Manchester. The afternoon tea is the best we have had (& we have had quite a lot in and around Manchester). The cocktails are also amazing, just a shame they don't do happy hours. Lovely building, atmosphere and decor.
G. L.
Fantastic restaurant. The building decor is really cool, the food was lovely, and the staff were very helpful. Just went for lunch but will definitely return to try the cocktails!
T. D.
The restaurant itself is a beautiful building and really nicely set out. The food was lovely and receptionist was a very welcoming and friendly woman.
Our waitress was a little abrupt - maybe rushed? - I would have preferred her to be a little more friendly but everyone has their own serving styles.
There was only a small issue with the starter the truffled goats cheese. It was predominantly beetroot and tomato with very very minimal goats cheese. I think maybe it would be better called a betroot and tomato dessert with goats cheese?
Anyhow I would definitely recommend it still, lovely drinks and the majority of the food was delicious!
V. H.
Today we have been here for my mother in laws 60th birthday!
The atmosphere and service from all members of staff was outstanding down to the tiniest detail.
In our party was 6 adults and 3 children aged 9 , 15 months and 3 months and the staff were amazing with there needs even bringing out there food early and our 15month old a plate of strawberries while we had coffee.
We would highly recommend The Grand Pacific for all ages and occasions and it's one of the most welcoming establishments I have even been too!
Well done Grand Pacific team!!
D. B.
Posh restaurant that was fit for a romantic valentine’s dinner. Centrally located in Manchester at the top of King st. it has fantastic Instagrammable interiors and a food presentation to match. We had live music on the night too.
The waitress seemed new and wasn’t full versed with the menu, some of the items arrived not as described unfortunately even though stated on the menu.. perhaps they ran out of nuts that day.. also some of the desserts (or ingredients) were lacking on the night.
The food was good, with an interesting selection but to be honest i wish it tasted as good as it looked & sounded.. chicken satay was on point!
Had some issue with the drinks and delayed dessert, however the management had prompt and excellent response to these, their proactivity was very much appreciated though, which made these turn into a positive experience.. I wish many more places had such customer focus..
Would consider trying again for another romantic dinner.
M. O.
This cocktail bar is brilliant for a relaxed drink or great meeting place. Great atmosphere gets very busy so beware if you need a seat. Cocktails are amazing and staff great. Highly recommend this bar
K. M.
Wow - must visit. Dined on a Monday night in large group. Delicious cocktails and food that I am still raving about.. the waitress we had was amazing and very helpful about navigating my nut allergy.
M. H.
Fantastic Sunday lunch. Service was excellent. The roast is carved at the table and you are given a tray of potatoes and vegetables at the table to help yourself. Inside is stunning as well.
k. s.
Dude. Just go there. You WILL NOT be disappointed
T. B.
Amazing food, fairly loud music but still easy to have a conversation without shouting. I advised the staff it was a special occasion and they looked after us with complimentary champagne. Would highly recommend and will be returning soon myself!
R. D.
Great atmosphere, staff great, cocktails amazing see you Saturday
A. M.
The building itself is excellent. Disappointed with the layout (furniture) not so grand. Toilets are quite small not good if you are clostrophobic.could of been bettter thought out
Food is nice and at reasonable prices. 10/10 for attempts on presentation.
An eye for detail is required. Table setting a let down. Basic. Table not so clean, smears. Smears on cutlery and glassware. Visually not good on the eye.
Had high expectations, shouldn't have. Not so grand.
A. T.
Great place to eat with top veggie options. The only thing that denied a 5 star is the fact we had to wait 40 minutes for our table without any apology or anything complimentary. Would definitely go again
R. S.
I highly recommend this restaurant! You get high quality and authentic food for a very honest price and the staff is so warm and welcoming.. I like the injera which look like thin pancake and i lie the environment of the restaurant. i would definitely going back to there!
M. B.
Great food and cocktails. The service was welcoming and attentive. HOWEVER we were disappointed to see a MOUSE scuttling around the floor while we ate our meals. Very off-putting and frankly disgusting.
Hope pest control got involved!
D. F.
Lovely Bubbles and HighTea with friends. Sandwiches were delic. My friend doesn't like tuna or smoked salmon - she tried both and really enjoyed. Great desserts too Lucas was our waiter and he was lovely and funny. Certainly put this on my list of places to return to.
F. S.
Just ok food . Surroundings nice .
D. B.
Great venue, great food.
J. E.
Brilliant staff, great food and lovely surroundings. Thoroughly enjoy a small celebration for my daughter's birthday. Highly recommended.
K. M. B.
Ornate bar and restaurant. Cod loin with bok choi and lobster sauce was excellent. Finished with the pineapple cheesecake, the pineapple was lightly grilled, it tasted really good.
Note: coffees are double shot as a standard - and also taste really good.
T. G.
We had the best time here celebrating 4 family members birthdays. The staff were all very helpful and professional. Excellent, friendly service and super tasty food. We’ll be back for sure!!
S. A.
Love this bar .First time eating there and it was would definitely recommend 👌
O. L.
A hidden gem in Manchester's City Centre. Food and cocktails are to die for! Atmosphere and decor unreal and very polite and friendly staff. Must visit on Sunday for a Sunday Roast with orchestra! The most relaxing Sunday you're about to have!
R. B.
Beautiful venue with good food. Service was good and friendly. Ambiance and decoration is spectacular. This is definitely a nice place to go for something special.
T. H.
Wonderful food, great service, great cocktails. We make a point to visit at least once a year and have never been disappointed. One of the best restaurants in Manchester.
a. D.
Not the usual place I'd go, went here for Xmas do and I really enjoyed it. I felt a bit underdressed though but I soon settled. Food was lovely I had prawn starter, steak, and a pudding all was spot on, prices reflect the type of place it is glad I wasn't paying 😂😂.
D. M.
Gorgeous upscale bar. Beautiful architecture. Would be great to take someone on a first date or hold a special occasion. Drinks are top notch, service 5 star
D. B.
Chic Gatsby Look Bar , huge and super Art Deco , Fresh Drink and Super Friendly Host 😍😍😍
B. S.
I was disappointed by this bar. Inside it looks like it should be a great place for drinks. However, the bar was sticky, there were quite a few small flies over the bar area which the staff didn't seem concerned about it. Service was ok... Probably won't return.
R. C.
Great Sunday roast in an amazing space
W. B.
Lovely Place ⭐️
J. G.
Manager gave us a really nice table after a booking mixed up! Food was really very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
P. R.
A real taste of fine dining, staff polite and very helpful. A very varied menu at a good price, we will be back again soon
D.
Excellent imperialist splendour, great cocktails.
S. C.
Lucia does a killer cocktail! Lovely service and beautiful place! Wanna go back for dining next time!
F. J. B.
Had the 50% January offer. I've never been there before but it felt like they cut 50% of quality and quantity. I guess it'll be different if you pay full price! Other than that the place is stunning and worth visiting.
N. T.
Great food and service in an excellent setting.
K. C.
Spectacular & magnificent place, top service!
S. M.
One of the best food I have ever tried. Really nice location too!
N. R.
Lovely ambience, friendly, professional staff with superbly cooked and presented food at a price below what you'd expect for the location.
Highly recommended!

Came in for a late lunch before heading to the cinema, I the club, my other half had the steak sandwich. Tasty food, lovely room, polite staff. Exactly what to expect from a quick lunch!

Amazing service by Pablo, what an incredible dining experience, the food was beautifully presented and incredible to eat. An amazing taste infusion. Stunning surroundings. 100% would recommend and come back here again.
N. A.
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food was great. However there is no wheelchair access and the restaurant is up a huge flight of stairs. Not accessible for prams either. Also no baby changing facilities.
I.
Great bar and beautiful people. Great range of cocktails. Music good be better (too mainstream for my taste). Definitely will be returning.
D. M.
Fantastic bar and dining, staff really attentive will definitely be going back,
G. A.
Bartenders are great here as they do multiple customers at once based on the orders coming in. So professional. Gorgeous setting. One of my favourite bars.
T. L.
Great food, fantastic atmosphere, service first class. The restaurant itself is stunning and the staff were awesome. Brilliant!!!
V.
Good venue for a fancy cocktail. Not fab seats though as you tend to have to stick to the bar stools. Not great in heels and a pencil skirt.

Excellent food in beautiful surroundings.
C. B.
The food was great and good value, staff were very friendly and helpful. The drinks were overpriced, and the restaurant was a little cramped with too many tables though.
P. A.
Gorgeous place 🥰 the food was delicious and the staff are really friendly! Good place to go to celebrate with your partner
R.
Lovely place 5*. Proper stuff. Cheaper than u expect too
N. M.
Amazing food and drinks. Good interiors with a great vibe!
M. A.
This place is worth a try. They have large portions for affordable rates. Always clean and with awesome vibes. Would recommend to others.
L. Q.
Not bad, little bit pretentious, the amount of 'smoked' drinks was a little funny.
Decent bar selection and very good staff
E. M.
the building is incredible, we had a warm welcome and the staff were attentive the afternoon tea itself was excellent being vegetarian is usually a struggle when going places however they had a great selection
Down side of our tea was the sweet selection was average compared to the savioury and as it was my partner's birthday they said they would bring out piping spelling happy birthday however they forgot which I felt was a shame
I would still go back again as it was a warm atmosphere and the food overall was lovely
PS be warned they offer you a bottle of water on arrival then charge you for it little bit cheeky I find!
J. D.
Incredible food and great friendly service in a wonderful old building, honestly the best Sunday lunch I've probably ever had. Will definitely come back!
N. D.
Amazing building, very sensitive use of the space, first class bar and restaurant. Food & drinks are excellent but a little disappointed with the wine list - felt like an afterthought...
C. H.
Beautiful restaurant in a historic building, lovely setting. Great bar food and a fantastic range of cocktails including great non-alcoholic ones
S. G.
Stunning building, the interior is just amazing. It's a classy place for sure, great staff but you need a few quid to drink, the polar opposite to weatherspoons.... Suits me 😀
R. B.
There are a lot of eateries vying for best burgers in town, I have rated another local place as the best, but, no longer, Grand Pacific is definitely the best, I had a burger at my previous best, shortly after, no contest!!
A. S.
Very nice restaurant! They messed up our order a bit but were quick to apologize and take it off our bill. Decor is wonderful
P. D.
An excellent restaraunt. The food is sublime. The service is excellent. If you want to celebrate an occasion, this would be a good place to consider.
D. C.
WOW! What a place. The food was 10/10. The service was 11/10! Michael, you're running a very tidy ship down there mate, keep it up! We''ll see you soon sir! Danny - Hexa Services (4th Floor).
V. B.
Beautiful building ideally located in the heart of Manchester. Great setting for a drink, but both the service and the food are pretty average.
K. G.
Beautiful decor. Nice cocktails. Lively on both occasions I have been, mid week and weekend.

Beautiful, hidden gem. Great cocktails and service.

Delicious, lovely presented food in beautiful surroundings with amazing service; the perfect place to celebrate out twins' 18th birthday. Thank you Grand Pacific x

The food was great and flavorful too.

Good cocktails, very thorough making process and love the music on a Friday, a bit pricey but it is Spinningfields after all! Great atmosphere also.

Really good service and Really tasty perfectly cooked food.
J. B.
Food and drinks let down by instagram teens
R. K.
Great food and atmosphere but a bit noisy due to the bar being located very close to the restaurant area. Very professional and friendly staff.
S. K.
We booked a table for a pre Christmas family get together yesterday. Top marks for a great meal. Stunning building.Attentive waiting staff think it was Konstantina who was excellent. 🤗

What a beautiful building and the smoked cocktails were a revelation, both presentation and indulgent flavor, obviously comes at a price but would pay it again for such quality
A. M.
High tea, dinner or drinks, the Grand Pacific has the style and service for every occasion from a fancy date to catching up with a friend. Loud at night, polite during the day. Put on your best suit and join the party.

Everything we ordered was incredible. The building is beautiful. Would definitely come back again.

Booked in for afternoon tea and it is well worth the money. Everything is beautifully personalised with the pineapple GP logo. The music was slightly annoying at times though!
C. D.
Love this place . Only went for drinks tonight had food at a restaurant close by , not any way near as good 😏 will be back soon not just for drinks next time .
S. B.

Fantastic restaurant, the decor is lovely and the food is amazing. Not the cheapest, but I think it wasn't over priced either.

Super cocktails but expensive drink options. Bar snacks are served small and would say not great value for money, given they are small.
a. m.
Staff very welcoming and attentive. Food and atmosphere very relaxing. Cocktails and drinks fab 👌
C. A.
No better place for the perfect cocktail, in amazing scenery, with great bar staff. If it's not on the menu they'll make it.

A wonderful venue with excellent bar and attentive service but at least tonight the food was below par. It is Asian Fusion but food did not impress this time.
A. M.
Elegant and luxury location. The food and drinks are not of the same level of the location. Excellent service.
J. L.
Fabulous building, great atmosphere, helpful staff with delicious food but the saxophone player was far too loud which made it very difficult to chat across the table.

Price could be a bit better but probably worth it, food was great, staff even better.

Bar service was very quick and the drinks did not disappoint, the only negative really was our group struggled for seating which I guess is to be expected on a busy Friday.
S. t.
