Amazing afternoon tea! I took my mum here for her birthday, staff were so attentive and accomodating. I had a gluten free portion due to dietary requirements and it was lovely. We both really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend!

I got given a voucher for my birthday for the champagne high tea. At first i was a bit apprehensive because of the reviews however it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! Everything was absolutely amazing, from the service (Issac was absolutely brilliant, told us about all the teas and walked us through the food! A credit to the company) to the views to the food! I would recommend to anyone and will definitely come back again! Very well done to the team ☺️

🌟【Afternoon Tea🍰】Honey at Hotel Gotham🌟
👍 Top quality service
👍 Yummy macaroon
Honey restaurant is a 2 AA Rosettes award modern and sophisticated environment in the centre of Manchester City, on the 6th floor of the iconic Edwin Lutyens’ building.
I was sceptical after reading some bad reviews online for the service , however it was actually the opposite. Five star service shall be given to all the staff that I met, especially the welcoming staff at the door.
The afternoon tea itself was good, I would give it 7/10. Highlight was the raspberry macaroon which tasted even better than the well known french tearoom. It was fresh, soft and full of flavour. There were plenty of choices for tea and coffee; I had the rose tea and it was very nice. The scones were a bit dry but apart from that everything was tasty.
The ambience was really nice with an Art Deco style. You can overlook the city centre and there were plenty of window seats. Staff were professional and friendly.

My experience was great, we took 5 course meal and a bottle of prosecco for £100 and it was amazing, food was interesting and tasty, service was spot on, views amazing. Not many people so nice calm atmosphere. All in all recommended.

Starter's amazing , scallops, belly bacon was above what I expected. Lamb and hake mains amazing, plenty of hake in portion and the sauce way tasty.
Desert took to long to come, it took so long my date wanted to leave without it, but we waited.

The atmosphere was great, swanky décor and a very welcoming staff. Overlooking the very delayed main course due to losing the order, it can happen everywhere and was compensated with a cocktail. The food was not as exceptional as the restaurant I have to say. Well cooked but nothing original in starters or mains. Enjoyed the dessert.

Had a wonderful meal as a treat from my friend for my belated birthday. The waiter/butler we had was charming, friendly and very helpful. Food was delicious but very tiny portions. I loved the whole experience and will definitely go again when I can afford to.

Finding the place was a bit hard - its above Jamies Italian. The concierge on the door was a bit frosty saying although we had a dinner reservation we might not be able to go for a drink in the bar (we arrived 30 mins early hoping for an aperitif). Having said that the maître'd on the restaurant reception was lovely. Staff in the restaurant were good, quite attentive, but not 100% au fait with the drinks menu. When its £13 and up for a cocktail I would expect they know the menu details.
Starter of pigeon was one of the best pigeon dishes I have tasted and was excited for the main. Sadly the steak seemed smaller than I would expect, was over (medium, requested medium rare) and was quite chewy. Not £28 worth, as it was clearly not chargrilled as per the menu, was lacking in seasoning and actual flavor. Also my sauce was forgotten so it was awkward to request this again and I had to proceed without it for half the course which was a shame. French fries were distinctly average. Clearly not hand cut, and the portion was extremely small for the £4.50 price tag. My colleagues £4.50 side salad was also little more than a garnish. Desert picked the pace up a bit, but was left so disappointed by my steak and measly fries.
Overall a mixed experience. If the mains could be at the standard both in flavor, presentation and style to the starters which were really exceptional I would return. Until then, there are better options in the city if you want fine dining.
As an aside, the cocktail I had really was lovely (sour cherry appletini).

Fabulous restaurant. I had the pleasure of visiting Honey restaurant within Hotel Gotham and from the very moment I entered I was wowed. This is a beautiful building and the staff from the get go were ever so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed two courses on the pre theatre menu which were sublime and then had a couple of cocktails which were equally delicious. Visiting Honey is a real experience and I would 100% return not only for the food but the fantastic service.

Had a really fabulous meal here with my friend celebrating her first evening out since having her baby. Food was really good and our waiter was excellent there's also an extensive wine list. Really recommend requesting for a table in the window for an amazing view over the city!
