Reviews of Luck Lust Liquor and Burn

Absolutely the best burrito I've ever had in my life!!! Can't stop thinking about it! I had the Birria Burrito. Also the egg rolls were gorgeous as were the cauliflower bites. Lots of options for vegan and vegetarians also. Watermelon margarita was beautiful. Can't wait to go again!
C. C. (.
Good ale, cider. Great nachos, smaller tacos available. Brisket burritos enjoyed. Rolled with salad and chips in!!! Good 80's soundctrack. Younger clientele than us. Good vibe, friendly waitress. Enjoyed, recommend. Heavy dish to digest...
C. H.
First time trying here, we ordered halloumi fries, animale naked burrito, and an actual burrito. The food was so good, we really enjoyed it. The guy who took our order was friendly & knowledgeable and chatting to us. Lovely atmosphere will definitely return again.
J. M.
Burrito was very nice, nachos were a bit lacklustre. I was given the wrong drink. Mentioned it to the waiter who got me the correct one, he also got us napkins and cutlery as there wasn't any at the table. He was very attentive and did his best while rushed off his feet.
R. M.
I was in a rush for a quick bite before an evening out and fancied a burrito, so after a quick Google I gave this place a try. Firstly, apart from the "doorman", the staff were really nice and accommodating, even providing a hotter sauce from the kitchen. Then came the Mark Cuban burrito which was the only carnitas available and I was really disappointed. This came filled approximately 1/2 with fries and dry meat, although the cheese and salsa caliente was good. All in all with quality of food, drink and service charge of £17.93 - Chipotle probably would've been a better option.
E. N.
Fabulous food, great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Great 80's sounds playing while we were there. Highly recommended.
J. B.
Wow just wow! So we ordered Nachos & on the recommendation of Bertie I had a Burrito & OH MY GOD they were amazing so tasty & worth every penny. Its such a cool place with really fun decor, an amazing menu with some really excellent tasting options. The staff are so friendly & welcoming, our server Bertie just couldn't be nicer he was warm, friendly, & really knew the menu inside out with an amazing recommendation for us. He was really a credit to the place as he helped make the night so memorable.
Highly recommend this place to everyone as when we're back in Manchester we will be booking here again.
M. P.
Best Mexican in Manchester by far. Massive portions with some of the best spice blends and sauces I've seen in this country. A must have to go definitely worth booking as it's usually packed but for good reason.
S. W.
Sometimes it's fairer to judge a place on how they deal with an issue with food, rather than the issue itself. We came in for a couple of burritos and fries. The burritos were fantastic, beautiful flavours, nice and meaty. A minor problem with the fries was rectified really quickly by the attentive and welcoming staff. Great little place, wonderful atmosphere, delicious food and lovely staff. We'll be back for sure
K. D.
Fantastic every time.
We've been here a few times now, and every time has been a delight.
The vibe is good, the drinks are great, and the food is even better (the Mark Cuban burrito is a particular favourite). Staff are friendly and charismatic, and everyone seems to be having a good time.
I can't recommend it enough.
E. S.
Food was delicious, especially the burritos. Music was great, atmosphere lovely. Only downside was we ordered some drinks and they never came. So we were quite parched finishing our meals which was a shame because the food was great. Just heavy without a drink. It was hard to grab someone a second time as staff were so busy delivering food. It was a weekend and it was busy with large bookings, so not a criticism. We were then billed for the drinks that didn't arrive but the waitress took them off the bill no question in the end. All round would recommend.
E. H.
First time I have been and won't be the last. Food and service fantastic. We already know what we will be having next time. I would have had more photos but I forgot because I was too desperate to eat my main. Lol
F. D. L.
Went in with a small group of friends, the service there was quick and nice, I ordered the burrito, it's a lot for a great value, and there was a good variety of drinks you could order from.
Though the seats were quite high. Also there was a draft from the door into the room so it was sometimes cold.
Nice food and drinks and the atmosphere is chill as well I would go back again.
P. S.
Absolutely loved the food. It really ticked all the boxes.
Had the extra Taco and wife had the Egg rolls.
Would highly recommend this place.
Great meal without the kids.

2022 Review Update:
I visited Luck Lust Liquor and Burn for the first time 5 years ago and absolutely loved it. I now ensure that I eat here at least once every time I visit Manchester and couldn't recommend it more if you love burritos. The menu has changed over the years but the food is still incredible. The burritos are the perfect size to fill you up but just small enough to ensure you finish it without any waste. My only criticism is that service can be a little slow when they're busy but this is expected.
2017 Review:
Great burritos, they're not too big but as they're super indulgent it makes them the perfect size. The wonder chips are great too!
F. Z.
Average tasting burritos, quite filling. However I felt like the ingredients were just sat together and weren’t fresh.
F. O.
Tasty burritos but felt it wasn't the best value for money. Presentation could've been better, just burritos on the plate, nothing else.
The frozen Margaritas were fabulous, nice and strong!
J. D.
The food is average and a little overpriced. The staff are really friendly and helpful even though they got our order wrong and added another tables items onto our bill they were quick to rectify it. All in all not a bad experience but wouldn't return.
K. K.
One of my favourite places to come. It absolutely does have the best margaritas in town! It has such a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and the BEST music!! I just love it here.
D. B.
Service was fantastic, quick and helpful. Gluten-free options available.
Y. K.
I got the Famous AF burrito and it had plenty of flavour and quite filling. The margarita was bang on.Will be visiting again
A. R.
Great food, although the menu is a little limited. Would certainly recommend the Birra burrito. Staff are really friendly and it's a nice relaxed atmosphere.
j. f.
Possibly the best burrito I've had while in manchester. For the last 5 years I've been on a search for the best burrito and I finally believe I have found the place. The birria burrito is made to perfection and for only £10 it's a steal.
J. R.
Love their taco Tuesday they always have the best tacos
S. H.
The greatest food I have ever put in my face!! Hands down. Oh my days you have no idea..... Just go and get it down ya.... My mouth has been blessed!
J. M.
Good was amazing but the wait was horrible. We were told the wait would be 30-40 minutes when we ordered but we really should have been told when being seated. The only thing stopping this being a full 5 stars
S. D.
The Cali burrito was delicious, the chips with wonderbutter were amazing!! I will definitely go back. The only let down was no decent beer
K. T.
Nicely decorated interior, small casual restaurant. Had to wait 1/2 hr but we just turned up on a Saturday around 6pm so I don't think that's bad at all. Gave us time to get stuck into some cocktails, which are always interesting here. Our friend had the house lager which was very drinkable! The food was interesting and well cooked as always. The right amount of spicy! I love the combination of Mexican and American junk food. I had the fish taco, which was a special and as good as any I've had in southern California! The burritos were really generous and we ended up taking some home, which reheated nicely the following day!
R. M.
Absolutely awesome food!! We went out for he day and wanted a good meal after a lot of walking and we were not disappointed. Really decent portions and packed full of flavour. We will definitely be going back. Really great staff too!
L. B.
The best tacos EVER EVER EVER. Amazing service and the staff were great!! Cannot wait to come back
A. S.
Nicest burritos we've had 👌🏻 travelled all the way from Chesterfield to eat here... Will definitely be back!! Thanks guys!!
M. v. W.
After a long long stroll though Manchester today, we finally sat down at this Mexican food bar. We were kindly shown to our table, which was on top floor. It was crowded, somewhat noisy but moreover no airco and not-so-cosy in between screens. We felt a bit packed.
Preorder and pay online with QR code given on table is modern and ok way to order, but in our opinion has lack of customer service in a way and personal touch. That’s what we’re at the restaurant for; the experience.
That’s why I like to give a tip or fee AFTER this experience and not before (it is asked for while ordering - credit card only btw).
The food was okay, i loved the ginger beer; we were both sooo thirsty! Price is okay for the quality given, concerning the food.
But if you tend to go here, make sure you’ve got a table outside or at least downstairs..!
A. 1.
Great food and amazing staff who will do anything for you.. Can't wait to come back. Highly recommended!!
E. H.
Burritos here are amazing, I would recommend something with 'dirty chicken'. It's open quite late too (11pm) which has been handy a couple of times. Definitely somewhere to go when you are feeling hungry, it's very indulgent.
T. B.
Just had a great date night here with my wife.
Good little place for food or just drinks. It's got a bar downstairs and a restaurant upstairs. Good is really good. With lots of flavour and have a variety/choice of stuff to get... Burgers stakes etc.
The décor is fun 2.
D. A.
It's been a long time since I last visited and the food quality is a lot lower than it once was. The food's okay, but just okay. The burritos are packed full of chips, which makes them bland and feels like a cost-cutting measure. Sides were also fine but unremarkable. Expected better for the price.
J. J.
Great food and cozy restaurant. Definitely book ahead as it can get busy and space is limited inside. Ordered the surfin cali and it did not disappoint.
D. S.
This place has a nice environment, the staff were friendly and the food was good, especially the nachos. However, my whole party were in agreement that it's unnecessary to place chips/fries inside a burrito as these were present inside all of ours'. Perhaps give chips as an extra but they're not a good substitute for traditional burrito fillings, and left some of us feeling the food wasn't good value. Liquor and Burn was still a nice experience however, and we'll probably come back again.
S. B.
Great atmosphere, 1st time having Mexican food and it was amazing. Definitely eat there again.
M. H.
Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. Friendly staff. Quick service. Reasonably priced. Good alcohol.
V. S.
Not the best place for wine since the staff doesn't even know what's on the menu. Nice tables with tiles but they seems to close earlier than everybody else even on a Saturday night, disappointed about it.
D. F. D.
Lovely place. Food is great, staff are friendly and the beers are cold! Well done
y. Q.
Went here for a lunch. The food was not too bad. But they look more like fast food that you can buy on the street. 10 pounds for each is not very worthy. And look at the dishes, they are kind of monotonous.
The waitress served us warmly.
T. S.
Lovely food, fun atmosphere, really helpful staff, Anna was able to give us some great recommendations! Would definitely visit again.
S. M.
The food was brilliant. Genuinely fantastic! The Big Easy was amazing! But the beer selection was poor and not what was advertised and the house lager was average. Great food but average beer
B. D.
Great food and drinks. Menu isn’t huge but that’s a good thing. We tried a mix of everything and it was all very good.
T. G.
Californian-Mexican style restaurant. Highly recommend the cheeseburger taco and the halloumi fries. Guac is good but could be more generous on the tortilla chips
E. M.
best hangover cure ever!!
S. M.
Really good food, with amazing portion sizes. The staff were very friendly. Tunes were mint too!
s. w.
Eaten here a fair few times and it's great, the food is brilliant staff are always friendly and has a very funky feel too it
C. E.
Huge portion sizes for great prices! Good happy hour and cheap tacos on a Tuesday. No bookings available so on the weekend it is very busy and the wait for a table can be a while so plan to go early and head to the bar first!
A. F.
Left Luck Liquor and Burn ready to burst! Food was so good, flaming hot boneless wings to start set the standard for the rest of the food, everything was so fresh and tasted amazing!
A. B.
The chicken burritos were nice, but I have had better. I expected more considering the other reviews.
s.
Great burritos and a good selection of starters, sides and drinks. Very reasonably priced, I've never left the place hungry.
A. J.
Food was fab, lunch menu was fairly priced, managed to make the buildings wounds look like they're meant to be there... All in all it's good.
B. M.
Awesome place with great service. The burritos and fries were spot on, but the drinks were a little pricy, though I'd expect that in the Northern Quarter. I'd definitely recommend it, great atmosphere.
G. L. n.
Excellent service. Lovely staff! Great drinks, amazing food. Great atmosphere!
E. S.
Soo happy I stumbled across this place on my night in manny. Great music, great vibes, good cocktails. Will visit again!
D. M.
Stumbled onto this place last year and so glad I did. Great tasting fresh food and cocktails.
A. M.
Nicely presented food.
Good service.
Food was good but I felt it lacked a bit in flavour for a Mexican.
A. M.
Great place to pop in for food. Really welcoming and friendly. Staff were brilliant as i’ve got a strange allergy and instead of getting annoyed, they were dead helpful!
Food was great and they were really accommodating, would recommend!
C. G.
Took advantage of Eat out to Help out. Food was plentyful and tasty however could have been a little hotter. Relaxed atmosphere and enjoyable.
J. T.
Amazing burritos, great service and a good atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone looking for some tex mex in Manchester.
C. L.
Food is delish and waiting staff very friendly. I usually go for the 'Well fit' Burrito and it never disappoints! not too pricey either for the quality!
Maybe the only thing is theres so much chocolate sauce for the Churros that you need about 5 more Churros on the plate to even come close to finishing the sauce! but hey thats not a bad thing as you never leave here hungry!
I. S.
Absolutely spectacular!!
Amazing food and amazing staff in a great location. Couldn’t fault anything about the experience.
L. B. W. S.
Food was real nice, still getting use to the non moving in the bar.
H. J.
Staff were a great laugh and so helpful. The food was impeccable.
H. M.
Food was excellent value, but they have reduced the menu alot
N. C.
The food is nice here for sure, but I feel like there could be a little more in terms of vegan options.
The staff have never been particularly great anytime I have visited, that's the only reason for 3 stars rather than 4
A. R.
Great food, amazing service with how busy it was. Would definitely come again.
J. P. (.
Excellent margaritas in a few different varieties, incredibly good burritos - I had the vegetarian smoked celeriac one and every bite was packed with flavour! Also do yourself a favour and get the cauliflower wings, the korean BBQ sauce is mind blowing
K.
Always great food and friendly staff. I recommend the buffalo chicken blasts - amazing!
G. S.
Great food, cocktails, staff and all in a relaxed atmosphere
Z. S.
AMAZING food, great portion, extremely friendly staff, the place itself is nice but a bit tiny, gets crowded and the bathrooms are always in use, could do with a better table accessorise (e.g. Actual tissues instead of paper towels), drinks are okay but bit pricey, overall I recommend this place and should visit but expect it to be a little pricey and spicy.
N. M.
Ordered the veggie burrito.
Only one option.
Kept having to read the menu to try and see what else was supposed to be in it, that wasnt.
No coriander, didn’t see any onions, just seemed like a lot of potato and celeriac chunks. The taste wasn’t bad but it was lacking.
I only noticed guacamole at the bottom of my second half....was a bit too little too late.
It WAS filling though, but I guess with the majority of the burrito being potato, it figures.
Just a pretty uninspiring and plain veggie option.
Good attentive service though!
F. J.
My and my boyfriend went. Service was quick. All staff were helpful and welcoming. The burritos we had were....honestly some of the best foods have eaten. And the beer was perfect for a hot day after walking around for hours!
A. W.
Amazing food, awesome atmosphere. Great for satisfying those Mexican food cravings. Best nachos I’ve tasted. Will be back again
R. G.
The bartender, i think her name was Anna, reccomend some top drinks, all round funky vibes.
K. L. (. L.
Great tacos and nachos on offer from almost famous's texmex cousin. Decent value and lovely staff make for a great casual eating experience.
B. o. t. E.
Amazing Mexican food.... we visited 5 year ago from Newcastle and were even more impressed last weekend...
A. W.
Great staff - Anna was really helpful in suggesting drinks from the bar menu.
G. H.
Great food and great customer service. A nice bar downstairs to enjoy a drink and a cosy upstairs restaurant. The best burrito in town.
K. B.
Food was original.
Lovely staff all the way around, from the Bar downstairs playing classic Hip Hop, to the lovely lady who took us to our table.
When ordering from the menu, I asked what was wonder butter, lovely server said "wonder butter....its.....the best!".
SOLD!!
Portions were spot on. Could barely finish the stuffed Valley Burrito.
Chipotle and other infused sauces were just freakin' awesome.
The premises are an original fusion of simple rustic urban chiquè. Trust me, this is not a bad thing.
Everybody was made to feel welcome.
Just an overall great experience with some WONDERFUL food.
#wonderbutterrocks
K. D.
Fantastic food and drinks, really enjoyed my first time here! Will definitely be back in the future and would recommend to anyone looking for mexican food in Manchester, thanks!
H. L. (.
Fabulous venue, Lucy and Nicole were amazing. Catered to all our needs. Splendid after shopping treat !
K. E.
Food was very good, service efficient. Ordered starters and main courses but surprised when they all arrived together. Was informed by staff we should have put on the notes on the order app we wanted them separately. Slightly confused as surely a starter is a starter and a main course a main course?!
C. M.
Fast Service. Delicious dirty mexican food. Awesome chilli fries. Will be back.
I. F.
Nice food, very tasty and nicely spiced fried.
S. M.
It's ok, bit expensive for what it is tbh. Their food ordering app is a cool idea but makes you enter your card details rather than letting you pay with something like PayPal, Google pay or Apple pay etc. Quite a pain. Service was good though.
r. c.
Always fun, slow but friendly service and great food
J. W.
Just awesome! Love the burritos and the chicken blasts are ace.
A. P.
Really great burritos and delicious cocktails for a good price. Will be back soon!
S. S.
Delicious and welcome. We had to wait quite long for our food, therefore "only" 4 stars. Remeber to book a table, this is a poluar spot
T. G.
Never had a bad meal from here, they have reduced the menu however, I can only assume this is whilst they find their feet again. Buffalo Cauliflower Wings are still on though and they are the best I have had! 😍
H. R.
Lovely food prepared quickly by friendly staff. Happy hour was a bonus.
B. M.
Fantastic Tacos, make sure you try them! Food is reasonably priced. Very busy when I was there so it must be popular with the locals.
z. p.
Very nice burritos, good sizes and nice vibe. Staff we're friendly and accomodating in helping us order despite having issues with the ordering app. Churros took abit tok long to come out.
C. E.
Huge portion sizes for great prices! Good happy hour and cheap tacos on a Tuesday. No bookings available so on the weekend it is very busy and the wait for a table can be a while so plan to go early and head to the bar first!
L.
Booked in advance, ended up arriving early but wasn't an issue. Pleasant and helpful staff. Food was incredible and ordering online was really easy. Highly recommend!
D. C.
Really wanted to like this but the beef burrito was the saltiest thing I've ever tasted and dry.
d.
Awesome food and service. Also great choice of music I didn’t think I’d ever hear an eclectic mix like it!!
C. H.
Came for the day of the dead discount offer and omg, how nice is the food here!! Amazing staff, you's have gained 4 new customers
A. T.
Amazing food and atmosphere, with plenty of seating space. Had one of the tastiest Margartittas ever when visited. Definitely recommend
G.
Amazing food and service, loved it!
N. C.
The best Mexican food i have ever tasted.
10/10 food,
10/10 service,
10/10 atmosphere
Would highly recommend.
Z. S.
AMAZING food, great portion, extremely friendly staff, the place itself is nice but a bit tiny, gets crowded and the bathrooms are always in use, could do with a better table accessorise (e.g. Actual tissues instead of paper towels), drinks …
C. L.
Lovely friendly staff and wonderful food
T. H.
Have lunch here several times a month, food is always spot on, can highly recommend the Tacos, burgers and wonder fries
L. L.
I was really worried getting a burrito would mean feeling too full and it being too stodgy but it was the perfect size. Ingredients tasted really fresh and crisp, not soggy salad leaves etc. and the meat was good quality. I was pleasantly surprised by it and will be returning.
A. T.
Amazing food and atmosphere, with plenty of seating space. Had one of the tastiest Margartittas ever when visited. Definitely recommend
J. F.
Terrific atmospheric bar with capable welcoming staff and good drink choice.
M. G.
Best vegan burrito I've ever had. This place will be my first stop next time I'm back in Manchester. 5 stars.
N. W.
The food is great. Excellent chicken burritos. Yummy tacos. But if you really want a massive amount for exceptional value, get the nachos. I couldn't finish them the portion was so generous!
L. L.
Delicious food and really well priced. The menu has a great range of dishes to choose from and they are all well-sized. Drinks are delicious but are on the pricier side. I was disappointed that they introduced a 5-7 happy hour a few months ago and then cut it down to just 1 hour before Christmas. Other than that the food, service and prices are great! Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff - one of my faves!
C. H.
Came for the day of the dead discount offer and omg, how nice is the food here!! Amazing staff, you's have gained 4 new customers
S. R.
Been here twice. Once for dinner and once for lunch. Tacos are fantastic. Probably the best tasting in Manchester (not the most authentic, there are others - La taquero), the tex-mex nature of the food - the abundance and combinations of ingredients makes the food very moreish. Food presentation looks fresh. Staff are friendly and attentive. A relaxed atmosphere with some buzz when busy.
I. R. (. C.
I've been several times over the years and it never fails to satisfy. Each Burrito has a great and intense flavour. The bar is a little loud for casual conversation but the restaurant is fantastic; if not the healthiest offering available.
d.
Awesome food and service. Also great choice of music I didn’t think I’d ever hear an eclectic mix like it!!
M. V.
Liked it. We went for a number of their small dishes which we shared between three of us.Will give the Burittos a go next time.
K. M.
Lovely aesthetic of the restaurant and amazing food and drinks.
Burritos are made so well although they are a little small.
Margaritas are amazing too during happy hour being only £5
Cherry and Hibiscus , Watermelon and Mint are two of the favourites.
Next time I'm in Manchester I am definitely popping In
M. F.
Great tequila cocktails. Brilliant Guac. Cali shrimp tacos were great. Half of burrito was not piping hot but was great to taste. House beer was good. Laid back, casual, decent restaurant. Was busy, book ahead.
D. H.
We had a really good time in here. Great atmosphere, really friendly staff. The downside was having to wait to get a table for food (we should have reserved in advance!), and that 1 of the dishes was unavailable, so we had to pick again. Fortunately, our server made a really could recommendation instead, so all I all can't really fault the place. Would definitely come back in the future if we're in Manchester.
R. B.
Great take on tex mex mixed with the gluttony that is almost famous. The food is brilliant, staff are friendly but the choice of drinks is pretty poor.
S. C.
Staff are friendly, but both times I have been the food was waaay to spicy, even when I particularly asked for no spice. Both times.
Good place to get a big portion of westernised Mexican food and sweet, fruity margaritas.
I don’t like the rolls of kitchen towel on the table instead of napkins either. Feels a bit lazy and cheap.
P. C.
Food food, good service
D. D.
Honestly the best burritos we've ever had the pleasure to eat. The food is stunning and the cocktails were fabulous.
The service left a little to be desired - the staff policy is to have a manager take orders for people with allergies, but it meant half our order was taken by someone else and then half again by the manager... and then the final part taken again by the first person who'd forgotten some of it. The food came quickly but we were left for over 30 mins after we'd finished to try and catch someone's eye to get the bill.
T. D.
Really like the food here, a very almost famous vibe (they are connected) the drinks were not bad. The service could be pretty slow at times, but it seemed a lot of the staff were new so no harm done!
One odd note is that chips come under the burritos etc which shocked me at first but not an unpleasant addition.
Desserts menu extremely lacking, they've obviously decided they didn't really want to do desserts too.
But, will be going back again would recommend for a younger crowd.
l. h.
Read the views and took them with a pinch of salt..... Got here and I am so glad I did. Good value, really graat flavours and a really strong lunch choice. Could not be happier
F. O.
Probably my all time favourite restaurant and bar. The drinks are kooky but amazing. The food is dirty but so good. The nachos are so good here, absolutely greedy person portions. Don’t come here if you’re not so so hungry. The burgers are delicious, menu has lots of choice, sweet potato fries are among the best I’ve had. The staff are attentive, friendly, go the extra mile if they can, the service is fast and professional. If you go here try the sharing nachos for sure.
N. P.
Great bar with lovely food, amazing staff but does get busy and you have to wait awhile for food, would go again
A.
2nd time there and we will repeat. Not fan of spicy but the burrito with the fries was amazing!. If you can't eat so spicy don't go for the nachos, they have chillies but if not, go for them, are really nice!!!
L. A.
Excellent food , great atmosphere and excellent service
H. R.
Great place with absolutely delicious food and cocktails. Good atmosphere. Located in the Northern Quarter, very close to the main shopping areas.
D. T.
Enjoyed the meal and atmosphere very much, you're not going to leave here hungry! Excellent!
K. G.
Fab burritos and margaritas. You are able to book in advance now due to covid which is excellent. Music was a little loud for conversation though!
R. Z.
Reasonably priced delish burritos! Cool atmosphere & good selection of drinks.
N.
Incredible food. My husband had the rodeo burger and I had the cauliflower burrito - both delicious. The sides were awesome, too - I will dream of those loaded fries and bagel bites (dipped in the chipotle sour cream dip - yum). Staff are lovely but there aren’t enough for the number of tables so it was slow service; fix this and it’s easily a 5 star rating.
j. m.
Great atmosphere very busy .service excellent
M. T.
I went to Luck, Lust, Liquor and Burn on the advice of 2 of your group who really recommended it. There were 7 of us so I thought we might have had a bit of a problem getting a seat on a Saturday night however I needn't have worried. Our hostess shifted things about slightly to accommodate us and in the end we were seated within about 5 minutes.
Luckily I got to try 2 of the dishes, my own of the South Central Enchilada and the Almost Famous Burrito. Just to bump up the calories we also went for some wonder fries which were really good. I thoroughly enjoyed my enchilada and would heartily recommend it however I can't say the same about the burrito. Despite having a load of ingredients I found it fairly bland and uninspiring although my view wasn't shared by everyone.
The house lager was decent and there was a decent selection of bottled beers but a few of the group got cocktails which they weren't too impressed with however the service was first class which was impressive.
Overall a little bit hit and miss but I'll definitely be making another visit in the future. There's too much on the menu that looks appealing not to!
R. “. F.
Fantastic food, drinks had surprisingly powerful flavours and with a good selection of drink is memorable for its taste.
A. B.
Really good place for groups. Lively atmosphere, good service, tasty pizza and a great choice of drinks
K. G.
The fish tacos were definitely the highlight, drinks service was a bit slow but overall still a great meal and experience
F. H.
One of my favourite restaurants in the Northern Quarter. The food, drinks and atmosphere are great. The burritos are very generous portion size, but very delicious. As are the burgers and salmon salads. The sides of chips topped with cheese and sauces are also delicious. The only down side is that you can't book and we have once had to wait an hour and a half to get a table. This wasn't too much of a problem as we sat and had a few drinks in the bar downstairs. Overall a fantastic restaurant with incredible food.
J. K.
Excellent burritos, lovely fries but a little expensive. 2 burritos, 2 fries, 1 cocktail and a coke was £48
M. S.
Great food, great service, fantastic drinks.
Called in for lunch today with a few colleagues, we had a mixture of burgers, burritos, loaded fries and chicken wings to eat. The burgers were tasty, hot sauce was good and the burrito was the size of a baby!
Service was delivered with a friendly smile, very courteous and quickly reacting. The waitress was attentive and covered our table well despite the restaurant being very busy. We also didn't feel rushed, we were left to finish our drinks after we had paid and had a friendly send off as we left.
Drink wise they have the fantastic shindigger Mango Unchained on tap which is frickin awesome, shame it was a quick lunch because I could stay and drink that all night! We also had a beergarita which went down a treat!
All in all a great lunch experience which we will definitely do again! This may even become our new friday regular lunch spot!
Good Show Luck, Lust, Liquor and Burn!

Wow - Just wow (with a mouthful of meat!) Now this is what a Mexican style restaurant should be aiming for! With all the chains and sadly average dining options folding central Manchester Luck lust and Burn really does leave you in lust for your next visit. Everything on the menu sings, thick juicy burritos, banging burgers and cocktails with a kick. Service was a little on the slow side but friendly and apologetic - plus with drinks like these while you wait you really cant complain. Once served the glorious hush of content consumed us all, almost as fast as we consumed our meals! Seriously good grub. Though the starters are all amazing the portions are HUGE (and great value) so think twice as you may want to give a hard shake or a dessert a go. Also 1 portions of fries will easily serve 2 of you! I will be back ASAP - already looking forward to it.
J. H.
The vibe in the bar is good! Bartenders are sound, the bartender that I had was more than happy to make me a tequila cocktail that wasn't on the menu. Happy hour has great deals with £3 pints (VERY cheap for Manchester central).
The restaurant itself was good, the nachos were some of the best I've ever had. However the burritos just weren't that great in all honesty, there are FAR better burritos for less money at Pancho's or barburrito. Staff are nice, worth it for the vibe!
T. H.
The food at this place is crazy good. I've had my fair share of American, London and independent burritos and the badabing is the best one I've eaten in my life. The place is tiny and service is pretty quick while it's quiet, but who gives a damn about the size of the place when the food is this good.
C. B.
Food was actually really good, little bit pricey but very filling and full of flavour. However the service was quite poor, took forever to order drinks and food, no one asked us how our food was or cleared our plates. I went to pay with cash and was told after I had eaten, that it was card only, this is something I should have been told before I sat down.
K. “. P.
Stopped in Manchester for the night and googled best places to eat locally - this came up and we are SO glad we decided based on reviews as the food is absolutely incredible! We had cauliflower bombs, jalapeños wrapped in bacon, Barrio fries, the famous tacos and the F bomb? burrito. Sooooo good! Service was fast and friendly, will definitely be returning if in the area again.
O. C.
Had an absolutely great night here on Saturday. We were a group of 16 friends/colleagues. I called up just a few days before and they arranged to put a small area aside for us and sorted us out with delicious food for a very reasonable price. Staff were awesome, drinks were grand. I thoroughly recommend it!
B. B.
It's okay for what it is, nothing particularly outstanding. The wait time was a little too long between courses, although it was busy. Nothing remarkable about the food. I've had much better Mexican elsewhere, but there was nothing particularly wrong with it. It's about as good as you're gonna get in Manchester city centre, which is severely lacking in any good Mexican restaurants.
M. D.
Brilliant Mexican food, some of the best burgers I've had. Cheese and chilli chips are amazing! It gets very busy though, so you can have a long wait, but there is a good bar downstairs which serves great cocktails and they give you a buzzer to notify you when your table is ready.
D. E.
Friendly and attentive staff, nice interior, tasty food!
M. D.
Great food but tiny tables, say on tiny unconfortble stools with barely anywhere to fit my food and brought starter out same time as main. Leaving me to rush down my starter so I could fit my main on the table! Not very good service. The food though was good and the highlight of the trip. But it's not clever to make seating unconfortble for guests. How about get proper tables and chairs yeah?
S. I.
Excellent food! Service was fantastic
E. M.
Love this place! Great cocktails and really delicious food. It's always busy though and they don't take reservations so go straight upstairs for a buzzer then go back down for some drinks while you wait. The negroni cocktail and the bq chicken blast starters are just freaking gorgeous. Tad pricey but I think totally worth it.
A. P.
Pretty good food as Mexican goes in the UK. Could have done with some freshly made salsas, as the nachos were very heavy. Also, they had run out of guacamole, which is pretty poor on a Saturday evening. I'd recommend it for the money, though
B. G.
Great food drinks and service. Huge selection of burritos
L. H.
Miles better than almost famous, the menu is really diverse in comparison, although still not great for people allergic to gluten. The sloppy Joe burger is probably in my top 3 burgers in Manchester. Although the last time I visited, I was disappointed as my burrito which claimed to be giant wasn't the Man Vs Food style burrito I expected and not that special taste wise. I also ordered a pint of shrimp and squid, which seemed really out of place and dull compared to the rest of the menu. I still strongly recommend a visit
l. r.
Great selection of burritos. I had the £25 beast.
It took a while to come and it was cold. I really didn't want to wait for any longer. It was half price due to the January deal though.
J. W.
Amazing food in a cool atmosphere and friendly staff. This is one of my favs, always go for the burrito or the tacos, with the winning fries, the burritos are pretty filling! They also do some nice cocktails too, so recommend trying them out in the bar downstairs first. If you want a table go straight upstairs, this is the same owners as Almost famous and they do burgers here too so if your waiting in the queue outside almost famous this is next door and worth a try
K. T.
One of my favourite places to eat in Manchester. The menu is brilliant, food is so good and if you go here make sure you have fries with the wonder butter. It. Will. Change. Your. Life!! (And increase your waistline) 🙈
N. T.
Food is very tasty! Loads of choice as well. It's a nice restaurant area inside despite it being a little cramped but that doesn't bother me. Personally, I prefer the food here than at almost famous. It doesn't take reservations so you need to just turn up and give yourself a window after in which they text you to say your tables ready. Definitely go if you're into burritos etc.
S. K.
Had to wait for an hour to eat upstairs, 5-8pm happy hour helped with it!!!
M. A. F.
This is a small place that doesn’t take bookings. It’s popular - so during peak times expect a wait. There is a bar downstairs where you can wait and get a drink or there are many other good bars around you can go to to get a drink while you wait. Once your in – the burritos are immense. They are big and bold in flavour. BBQ chicken blasts to start are a must.
d. p.
Excellent food and services!
J. H.
I had the Americana burger which was so nice and the sweet potato, bacon cheese fries... AMAZING. A bottle of house wine for £16 which isn't bad for City centre prices. the staff are friendly too but the toilets were pretty minging.
L. S.
Massive fan of this place - I love Mexican food and think this is just great, fresh food really reasonably priced and the cocktails are fab. Suitable for all ages too - such a good vibe. My parents love it here and they're in their 50s whilst me and my friends equally enjoy it! Cocktails are lush and I love the decor too.
B. G.
After a lot of recommendations (not just about , but exactly what I should order) I got a table after a short wait with a very efficient queuing system. Could not have been happier, amazingly delicious food, fantastic service and all at an incredibly reasonable price. I'm only in town for a could of nights, but tempered to sack off looking for anywhere else and just going here again!
C. T.
Great food and drinks, good offers on happy hour, lovely staff and a really nice location
f. i.
This place does not disappoint if you are looking for a range of mexi-style food or good tequila. The burritos are very filling and well seasoned. Will be back to enjoy some more offerings!
M. C.
Great comfort food, burritos were some of the best I've had.
N. C.
The best Mexican food i have ever tasted.
10/10 food,
10/10 service, …
l. w.
This place is phenomenal! The staff are the nicest in Manchester, the food is second to non. Great cocktails and lovely atmosphere. I've even brought my staff here for a meal and they loved the place too.
L. P.
We came to this spot for dinner. we heard about this restaurant from many people. Well, it was very nice. The staff were extremely nice and we felt very good. The food was just great. We loved this restaurant very much and we will definitely return to this restaurant. we highly recommend this place.
D. B.
Delicious Mexican food. Lots of choice and really great flavours, I had some of the best tacos I've ever had here. The staff were also really friendly and there was a good level of service.
A. J.
Excellent meal, plenty of space at lunch time. Prices reasonable for the area and certainly worth it for the food. Great, friendly service (props to Alex), will definitely be coming back!
H.
I may be a generous reviewer, but I believe in giving as much credit where credit is due and for the main elements, I couldn't fault this place one bit.
There was a half hour wait when we got there (we wanted to eat before going to watch the rugby which might not have left us much time) so the hostess booked us in on their system, took my number and said if we wanted to go get a drink or found somewhere else to eat, she would text me if a table became available earlier. if we still wanted it. 10 minutes later and we were already heading back!
I loved the style of the place from the moment I walked in. Bar downstairs, restaurant upstairs, styled graffiti art up the stairwell and skateboards lining the corridor, a really urban, on-the-road, Americana theme. Just take a look at the menu to see. This place makes you feel like you want to be sitting on a Harley, reading Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas while wolfing down their 'Men of Mayhem' burrito in a hot desert.
Very reasonably priced for great tasting Mexican food with superb twists. My favourite was the Barrio Fries. I'll be back every time I'm in Manchester.
G.
Amazing food and service, loved it!
A. O.
A nice little place for delicious food. The only downside at the minute is the staff. I used to love it in here but the last two times orders have been wrong and we've had to try to find staff to order drinks or get the bill because they all kept disappearing.
N. G. T.
Went tonight for our first meal out post lockdown. Really efficient service. Sorted a mini problem out immediately with no fuss. Great job
J. S. M.
Very good place for Burritos!!! Nice cocktails and atmosphere, very good for groups.
G. J.
The best burritos ever! I'm vegetarian and my partner is vegan, these guys are always accommodating and the food is always at an incredible standard. 100% recommend.
S. B.
Always amazing food and atmosphere. Great prices and great staff. I can't complement the place enough! Easily my favorite burger place in MANCHESTER, although the burrito supreme was amazing and they do more food besides.
D.
The food has always been perfect, every time. The drinks are delicious and their cheesecake is completely unorthodox but was definitely worth chancing.
The only thing that let this place down was the lack of ability to book for groups. I understand that these types of restaurants do not need to take bookings as they are popular and that there is an element of risk with taking such large bookings. My first time here our group was so big that they served us downstairs at the bar and it was amazing!!! The last time we went there it was relatively quiet but for some reason they wouldn't let us dine, they said they didn't have enough tables to seat us. I saw that there were empty tables and asked if we could split the group and they just simply declined.
Such a shame because they have the best burrito's in town. Maybe taking large bookings would be safer if they took deposits over the phone similar to Reds True Barbeque.
J. R.
Excellent food, excellent staff, excellent atmosphere. I can't stop using the word excellent, but it has and probably always will be my favourite Mexican restaurant. The only negative if I ever had to reduce a start would be that the cocktails are a bit pricey... but they only become pricey when you can't stop drinking them because they really are THAT good
S. F.
best burrito I have ever eaten. the f-bomb is so tasty. the place serves a nice selection of beers downstairs and the queuing system is great. they will text you when your table is ready.
Only shame is that the actual food is a bit pricey but it's worth it sometimes for a treat
M. C.
The best burrito I've had in the UK - spicy, meaty, cheesy and crunchy (Men of Mayhem Burrito - with the suicide sauce on the side)!
Sides were tasty and the service extremely friendly. Great ambience also. Would take my friends there again
D. W.
Nice vibe. Friendly staff. Great food and drinks for good prices
l. c.
Absolutely amazing food! From burritos to cheeseburger fries, I cannot fault the food. Went here on a first date and it definitely has become one of my favourite places to eat whilst in town.
H. S.
Came here last night and was served by Holly I think her name was? Sorry if its not.. ginger lass. Couldn't have been more attentive, gave amazing recommendations and the drinks were wonderful. Would definitely recommend this place to friends.
H. “. W.
Everytime I have been here the staff have been super helpful and friendly enough to where its not over bearing. Lovely food , decent selection of drinks and the atmosphere here is warm and bustling.
K. K. -. S.
The food was amazing. We had about an hour wait but it was well worth it. Service was poor as it did not appear they had enough staff. We had to eat our food without cutlery as we asked a waitress for some but she was too busy and must have forgotten.
K. L.
The food is mega! Starters, mains and sides are all messy and full of flavour..
Cocktails are bang on and the staff are friendly.
The downside is you can't book tables and you'll often walk in to waiting times from 1 to 2 hours but if it wasn't for that I'd given this a five star.
C. B.
Great establishment. Much less pretentious than a number of its counterpart drinking holes in the Northern Quarter. Great drinks selection and music. Can get quiet cramped when busy and staff attention to detail e.g who is next to be served or the proactiveness of table clearance could be improved. Great selection of drinks including cocktails. Great location and decor. Solid 4 star.
D. W.
Great mexican bar and restaurant serving burritos, tacos and margaritas. What more do you need!
k. w.
Wow, what a menu, what great service, what a great atmosphere and best of all what great food, I am a Mexican food fanatic, both eating and cooking, the food was, I am not ashamed to admit, better than I have produced, and I have a good reputation for my Mexican dining within my friends and family. The portions were massive at a great price, it took me a long time to decide on what to eat, due to the choice on the menu,
This is one dining experience I will not forget, and will certainly be going back for more
Thank you Luck Lust Liquor and Burn.

A. C.
I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars. The reason? well, first the place is very charming, the service was great and the Chilli Cheese Fries and the Baddabing burrito were completely amazing. However, my burrito, The Big Easy, was good but not outstanding as I expected. Anyway, I'll be back anytime for sure... this is not a place to miss.
S. F.
Food was great, service was good and staff were very friendly but that could be because I am used to London 'service'. Fantastic burrito stuffed with meat. Would love to go back if I am in Manchester again. Definitely recommend
S. L.
Amazing as always - The Sin City Burrito is to die for and what is in the unbelievably good Wonder Butter??!! Friendly attentive staff- Really nice Largarita. Can't recommend enough
A. K.
Went here as part of an evening out for drinks rather than food. The music was great, atmosphere was good and helped add to a great night. Well worth a visit if your out for some drinks. Can't count on the food as we didn't eat, but I'll likely go back and have some another time based on this experience.
B. S.
Very tasty but too much lettuce.
P. P.
Thank you Luck Lust Liquor and Burn for bringing fantastic burritos to the Northern Quarter! The venue is modern and styled well, the food portions are great and offer a wide variation in terms of fish, burritos to the classic almost famous burgers. If you fancy a tasty burrito and you are willing to pay around £10 then give this place a go, it wont let you down!
N. S.
Food was very good at a reasonable price. You can also guarantee not to go home hungry as the portions are massive. The staff were all very nice and all found the time to chat. The only possible criticism is that the bar is a little dirty, tables sticky etc - but to be honest that's part of the charm.
F. R.
Food was amazing. Overall vibe was great, and staff were really down to earth and kind.
D. T.
Excellent food. Absolutely loved it. Good selection of veggie and vegan food too. Wish there was more than churros on the menu for dessert but epic mains menu that makes up for it
O. S.
The food was great. Good sized portions and very tasty! Reasonably priced too.
It's a dive bar, so its dark with loud music - it pulls it off exceptionally, it was a really nice atmosphere.
A. B.
This place was fab, the food was cooked to perfection, and tasted amazing. There was a more chilled out vibe here too. Decent beer selection and it looked like a great choice of cocktails!
S.
Just discovered this place and I'm working my way through the burrito menu. The ones I've had are delicious and I look forward to trying them all. The staff are friendly but a bit slow when it comes to setting the bill.
W. T.
Phenomenal burritos but the previous menus were superior, they've reduced the selection of fillings in the animalé and got rid of several favorites. However it is still fantastic.
I. T.
Lovely place, amazing food, huge portions! It's a walk in restaurant so usually there is a wait of 30-40' but the bar downstairs is a great place to have a drink while waiting. Would definitely recommend!
C. L.
Lovely friendly staff and wonderful food
a. g.
Taco Tuesday! I have stupid high standards for tacos coming from the U.S. southwest and I was really happy with the £1 Tacos. Their margaritas need some help... actually the whole cocktail menu seems to be written for teenage girls but they have a few good beers.
C. W.
Great burritos 🌯 and good service.
A. S.
As with most places in Manchester's Northern Quarter, Luck Lust Liquor & Burn is made to appeal to the hipster crowd wanting something different and independent, so naturally my friends and I stumbled across it ;)
We were in search of something to settle of stomach's after a weekend of fun at Manchester Pride and this place did the trick. It's outside appearance and downstairs bar attracted us initially and once in the restaurant area was very urban industrial with a loft style to the fittings and furnishings.
I ordered thier Chickin' Lickin' burrito (from a very busy and a little hard to read menu) which was tasty and packed full of flavour, though not too hot. It was a perfect size too as I didn't feel like a heifer after eating it. With a side of skin on chips which were generously seasoned with paprika for that kick.
Service was good, though we did have a problem with the card machine meaning some of my party had to go down the road to get money out of an ATM though the waiter was more than happy to help them find it.
Good value for money with a burrito, chips and coke coming in at £12.
A. A.
Nice place. Friendly staff. Very good food at sensible prices. They had only 2 beers, one of which ran out so they brought me an alternative which I tasted and returned.
Cracking find. Will be back.
A. D.
Awesome nachos, tacos, and food all around. Friendly staff, recommended!
g.
You've probably heard of Almost famous well this is their Mexican sibling which serves up some amazing cocktails and a burrito challenge not for the faint hearted!
- note worthy mention it's pound tacos on Taco Tuesday
A. T.
Food was great and a reasonable price. Will definetly be back!
C. G.
After throwing away the poorly utilised downstairs bar, this place now has some less-claustrophobic table options. The food is delish (short for delicious) but it still lacks some charm and warmth.
J. W.
Same guys that own Almost Famous and Yard & Coop I believe. Insanely tasty food and their burritos are just heaven. Reasonably priced, sizable portions and friendly staff. Recommended.
V. L.
Food is real nice! Dirty burritos ☺️ But I was in a group of 4 and we were squished into a extremely small 4 person table. They're all small so they can fit more in.
S. M.
Had a beef burrito and the butter chips, both absolutely brilliant and good price
L. L.
Have had two trips here and both times the food has been excellent. Nice array of drinks and a casual atmosphere. Would happily return any time I'm in Manchester.
R. H.
Food was delicious as always. Our waiter came off as a bit rude, but that's British customer service for you. Thank you to the chefs, for your excellent work!
T. G.
Very enjoyable meal, went for the burrito which was packed nicely with fillings and rice( not all lettuce),side plate of fries with various dips good value for money and excellent service
D. P.
Amazing burritos and selection of different fries covered in various strange toppings, very similair to sister company Almost Famous. Restaurant has a cool Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas vibe throughout. Is a little pricey but definitely worth it for the amount of food you get!
T.
Tex Mex of epic proportions, you certainly won't leave this place hungry!
I opted for the beef smackdown burrito only without the wrap as I can't eat gluten (which was no problem at all). The plate of food that arrived was not only mountainous but utterly delicious.
You can't book a table but a wait in the bar will give you time to admire the surroundings; viewing Manchester through old stain glass sash windows is a real treat.
The only real downside is there's not enough cider behind the bar, other than that you're in for a feast.
G. C.
Easily my favourite place to eat in Manchester.
The lettuce cups and the pint of shrimp and squid are a must.
Impressed Italian friends, parents, boyfriend and colleagues with a trip here.
It's unassuming and a bit different cuisine to what you'd find elsewhere.
Good atmosphere and fun times. They even turned the music down one evening when I asked. ( :
M. B.
Lack of menu clarity. £5.50 for a 330ml bottle of punk IPA?!?! Food was delicious but little choice. More of a social gathering than sit down restaurant. The BBQ sauce was stunning!
R. T.
Almost Famous does Mexican. This cuisine is Tex-Mex food with a twist. Definitely worth a try if you are in the Northern Quarter. Luck Lust Liquor and Burn takes cocktails to the next level - make sure you order one of their signature cocktails. And at less than £20 per head, its not too expensive on the pocket either.
L. G.
The food is without a doubt, the best Mexican I have had in Manchester. The service, not. If it wasn't for the food being so damn good, I'll be reviewing lower.
L.
Amazing! Loved it can’t wait to go back 😍
A. N.
I always enjoy my visit here the ambience is different to other restaurants and I like the quirky decor.
The menu is really vast so everytime I go I manage to try something new.
I would recommend the Alabama Slammer, this is my favourite is my dish on the menu!
A. S.
Great place to eat and have a few drinks, it's been a few years since I last came here but it's just as good as it was then! The burritos are outstanding and the fillings are original.
M. K.
Loved the food and the witty menu. I had the Lettuce cups and the F-bomb (two burritos). Don't come here if you want a conversation with someone, unless you can talk louder than the music.
J. W.
Really great mexican food. More American style than el capo. The food is really full of flavour and the portions are great. They LSO do a damn good margarita. Oh and they are one of the only bars in northern quarter that do picklebacks!!
A. W.
Went here on a recommendation and was blown away at the food. Didn't sample the full menu but can thoroughly recommend the loaded fries. Was a busy day when we went, venue was clean and staff friendly. Recommend if your about.
A. G.
Food was surprisingly tasty. Price about 10 pounds for a moderate size main dish. Atmosphere is chic grunge, as if eating in an a place half finished. Was well put together.
R. S.
Excellent flood every time. Only downside is that it's so popular there's always a 30+ min wait to get seated. You get an RF buzzer to jet you know when your table is ready though and in my experience it reaches most of the NQ.
R. R.
Awesome burrito an half price too!! 👌
R. I.
To echo what others have said- Great food, kind staff! The month’s promo of half-off the price on burritos makes for an awesome tasty and filling meal.
M. L.
Used to be a regular here a few years ago. Revisited this weekend and was sorely disappointed. Menu has shifted from exceptional Tex-Mex to a menu that frankly tries too hard and overindexes on heart-attack inducing food.
LLLB always had a few off the wall items on their menu, but it now feels to be entirely consumed by cheeseburger burritos and their ilk. Their superb trios of tacos have been replaced by 'tacos' that are essentially open burritos that combine way too many flavours.
Sorry guys, won't be rushing back.
H. S.
Came here for a friends birthday, service was great! Little bit too much of a wait between starter and main (50 minutes) but I understand sometimes it’s not easy and it was reasonably busy, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for something a bit different!
a. m.
Never fails to be excellent food
B. G.
Good food, decent prices and nice friendly staff.
K. G.
Well hidden above the bar, Luck Lust Liquor & Burn is a haven for a hipster crowd looking for sinfully calorific US style comfort food. I opted for the San Diego burrito, with halloumi cheese and slow roasted tomato sauce which was crazy delicious. The staff were sweet and service was quick - my only gripes would be that the chips are super salty and the toilets could do with a lick of paint.
L. P.
Almost Famous' take on Mexican food. Very good drink deals in happy hour (you have to get your drinks from the downstairs bar for this, even if you're eating) with all the beers and ciders £3 a pint/bottle.
D. R.
I cant decide whether I prefer food or drinks in this place! Or that abundance of wonderful plants around. But I know for sure I had the tastiest cauliflower here and I keep coming back for it :)
R. C.
Amazing food great atmosphere.
S. D.
Almost Famous burgers without the hype or the queues. Though the Mexican food they do is also exceptional and always leaves you full.
There is a great selection of Mexican food on offer, the Buritto's are exceptional and the Almost Famous and Baddabing are well worth trying, or if you are feeling exceptionally hungry try the £30 Burrito Challenge.
When ordering make sure you get a portion of Chilli Cheese Fries, you won't be disappointed then wash it down with one of the great selection of cocktails or a house beer.
G. K.
Absolutely love this place for a late breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday morning. If you've ever eaten at Ike's in Nevada City,CA, you'll feel right at home here. There halloumi skillet is highly recommended. Go!
L. Q.
Friendly staff, tasty, high quality food.
No kids menu but they were very accomodating to them, making changes to the standard menu.
Would absolutely recommend this place
L. 4.
Great food , ordered everything on the app , worked really well. Corona on draft!
J. P.
Staff pleasant and wearing masks but had to ask for cutlery and napkins. Cool vibe. Food was good but not stand out. Quick service.
V. B.
Good food, very tasty. Services was a little slow but I think that was because lots of concert goers descended at once. Great location and décor.
F. L.
Lovely cocktails, great service, nice little bar
T. H.
Great food and atmosphere!
J. R.
Love this place! Fantastic menu of street food and Mexican favourites. The Wonder fries are to die for! Drink choices and service is great too.
V. L.
Good prices at happy hour. I'm a Tuesday taco usual now. There's a super nice cocktail barista who always recommends me cocktails and is very friendly
J. S.
Run by the same guys that own Almost Famous, it's their spin on Tex-Mex food. Personal favourite is the "Almost Famous" burrito, paired up with some BBQ chicken blasts (Chicken goujons in a barbecue sauce) and some of the dirty chicken soft tacos, which may be one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten. Will be coming back here for as long as it's still open.
C. V. S.
If something says "big" on the menu, believe me it is really big! Absolutely stuffed with just a main, love the atmosphere and the concept the food is really tasty!! Definitely a place for tex/mex lovers!
E. M.
Great food, reasonably priced.
Good level of service, got seen fairly quickly and wasn't waiting more than 10 minutes for food. Nice drinks too. Lagerita was really good.
C. D.
The downstairs bar hides a really nice upstairs restaurant furnished with an industrial feel of exposed brick and hardwood. The burger was good although I felt that having to pay extra for chips was a bit unnecessary.

Food was spot on, service was excellent, didn't have to wait long either considering a busy time of year and lots of parties going on I'd really recommend it to anyone and that was my first visit to the establishment as a birthday meal from my son, thank you to you guys really enjoyed it carry on the good work 😁😁😁
O. N.
Think Almost Famous but with burritos and a few burgers. Trendy decor and big, greasy, delicious portions. The namesake burger is especially worth trying.
S. M.
Really tasty burrito, and at £15 for a pint and a bite to eat isn't too bad. But could deffo have done with being a little bigger. Was still hungry after devouring it.

Went for my son's 16th birthday, staff were attentive and friendly. Food is always great. Price is very reasonable.
J. G.
Me and 3 friend have great time. They great food , atmosphere and a delightful cocktail menu. Would recommend to anyone that likes Mexican food
S. C. B.
Just had the famous burrito. Amazing well done
C.
Great food, big burritos what more could you want.
A. W.
Nice bite to eat. Little on the expensive side for a borrito
F. D.
One of my favourite places to eat in the northern quarter! Great food, friendly staff and great service, dont think I could ever say anything bad about this place.
c. f.
Great food and staff. Always visit when on Manchester
L. g.
Good food, speed and service. Would come again
J. W.
Great service, very attentive; improvised a children's meal and mocktail for my daughter, almost impacted my colon with the cheese burger fries. Great afternoon treat...
G. S.
10/10 food, absolutely delicious! Very friendly staff. Good portions. All in all, a brilliant restaurant
L. S.
Good burritos. Chicken licken is the best.
b. h.
Definitely Anglicised tex-mex style as opposed to real Mexican, but at no great loss once you accept that.
The burrito's are packed and intimidating in size with good flavour, the beer is exceptional and the fries are well fries - the only slight downside to the place.
If you want real Mexican, there's Pancho's, if you want very good food with the suggestion of Mexican then there's LLLB!
J. S.
Lovely food, the beef burrito was delicious, something for everyone (burgers, tacos, salads etc). Fast service, great place for some food after a few drinks in town!
A. W.
Amazing food, been here multiple times with each visit able to be summarised as great food, friendly staff and a nice place ear overall
C. G.
2 hour waiting time on a Saturday night. Bar downstairs is small. Food was excellent, flawless perhaps. Service was very good also
T. P.
Very loud music, so not the place to go for quiet conversation, but a nice if you don't mind that. Can't comment on the food as we hadn't booked and there was a 40 minute wait. I guess that says it can't be too bad though!
p. 2.
Awesome burritos and mega food challenges.
A. M.
Great service with excellent food. Slightly too expensive but BBQ Chicken strips were to die for.
S. L.
Very good burritos and tacos. Amazing cocktails. A must if you like Mexican food and are visiting Manchester.
S. L.
Excellent selection of burritos. Share a side and makes an excellent meal. Vegan options and quality cocktails too.
D. C.
A place to visit, no reservation needed, just walk up and wait. Huge menu with plenty to choose from, plus Wonder Fries, definitely not too be missed.. 🙃
S. P.
Eaten here before and it's been amazing, had a meal today which came very late but we had 50% off our food which was very fair, definitely recommended
C. L.
Nice enough food, slightly overpriced for what you get, equivalent of what you find at a street food stall
L. H.
Same people that own almost famous. Good beers and tasty burritos. You have to eat in the restaurant section upstairs but downstairs the bar is nice too.
R.
Decent grub and good selection of it, all at okay prices. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Good for large groups!
J. B.
Absolutely the best Mexican food..adore the fries to die for....and the waiters that can pick out your burritos from four others without any mistakes.Reasonable priced and terrific food and environment .....
A. M.
Similar to a lot of these new age "stuff it in you" type places. But if you like a bit of simple Tex MEX it ain't a bad place to come at all. Pretty good value and efficient service.
S. H.
Good is always tasty. However arrived cold and inside was so cold so not enjoyable
F. A.
Excellent Mexican food, casual atmosphere. The Wonder Fries are hands down the best thing I've ever eaten.
D. M.
The place and staff were awesome. The food was good but was a bit bland, lacking a bit of spice. It wasn't bad but also wasn't exactly mind blowing.
S. J.
STILL after years of coming here for lunch & dinner hands down has the best tacos, burritos and burgers. Great for the price & variety
J. J.
Great food, cocktails are extremely good. This place is in the Northern Quarter so the decor takes on a trendy graffiti-esque style.
A. E.
Awesome food, drinks and ambience! Will be back ASAP :)
J. N.
Had a deliveroo from this place and I was not impressed. it is far too much money compared to what you get. a very average burrito. would not order again.
K. J.
I've been coming here for a few years now, and it never disappoints. Food is amazing, staff are great and a perfect place for any occasion.
K. B.
Shrimp tacos, drinks and amazing fries. I'd so go here again
A. O.
Great atmosphere. Good food...burritos and wraps etc.
Cocktails were 2 for 1 after 5pm
K. S.
Good food and atmosphere, slightly over priced for the quantity
J. W.
Food was delicious, recommend the enchilada, service was good, the main took a little long to come out but other than that it was a brilliant night.
P. G.
Wandered in unplanned, what a happy surprise! Delicious food, good value and friendly service. The egg rolls were especially great!
K. F.
Great place! Friendly staff who actually sound genuine. Good beer, efficient service and very good food. Prices nices. Enjoy!
C. S.
Enjoyed the food and can also have quite a fun atmosphere as a bar, though it is a little cramped inside. Seemed to have a real hype around it when it first opened but this seems to have died down a little lately.
J. O.
Great food. Glad to be back after lockdown.
L. E.
Amazing food here. Really lovely service, reasonable prices. Definitely go back here when in Manchester.
P. S.
Food was OK but quality and value not as good as our last visit.
K. C.
My favourite Mexican restaurant in Manchester. Try the chicken blasts with bbq hawaiian sauce, and have a largeritta or two
S. K.
Food is absolutely fantastic and so is the service. I can not recommend them enough.
S. A.

Very tolerant of our large party.
Food was good too.
J. O.
This burrito was delicious but it was filling
J. P.
Great food and staff were lovely.
M. G.
Huge sloppy plates of Tex Mex and Mexican food. Not a formal place, and pretty lively, so go with a beer in your stomach and get stuck in. It's a fun place and food is decent.
A. C.
Great burritos. Had tacos this time with loaded fries and was not disappointed.
Nuff said
A. P.
Been here twice and I love it. Amazing food and staff! Would recommend.
I. W.
Friendly staff, nice location burrito was very salty! But worth a visit
H.
Absolutely an amazing place, the Animalé burrito was very fantastic. I wish I could go there more often!
W. J.
What a great place and the food is amazing. Staff are also lovely and very attentive. Recommend this place for sure when in the NQ. 🙂
G. B.
Superb little restaurant serving American and Mexican themed food. Make sure you try the hot wings, they're sublime.
M. R.
This place was super cool because it smashed my darling wife's low expectations of Mexican food outside Mexico. You can take the wife out of a Mexican jungle , but you cannot take the jungle out of the wife....
G. H.
The burritos are great here. They arrive on the plate and look a bit small, bit you'll be full by the end.
A. A.
Oh my god you have to try this place, the food is perfect every time! Don’t forget to grab the bacon cheese fries.
l.
Great food, great atmosphere, great staff. The experience on a whole was amazing!
m. s.
The food was excellent and the service brilliant! I have numerous food allergies and they catered for my needs brilliantly, thank you!
T. W.
Brilliant day out food excellent staff really helpful and friendly 😀
H. S.
Great food! Gear staff+ Helped us out with an urgent medical issue too. :)
I. C.
Service average, music sporadic and tables uncleared. But does what it says on the tin - serves brewskis, cocktails and vino
d. h.
Great food great beer, we passed this place and went in as last resort. I feel embarrassed I walked past! Great food great service!
P. E.
Great bar!. . . .polite fun staff and wonderful food . one of the best of many great bars in the northen quarter.
J. R.
Best burrito in Manchester. Love the cool crisp salad in there and the dirty steak and chorizo.
L. O.
Great food & service!
K. L.
Love this place. Staff always welcoming and attentive. Food is ridiculous...in a good way. Music selection is always 'feel good'.
C. F.
Great place, really good choice of well cooked and presented food, cocktails a highlight, friendly young staff.
M. D.
Absolutely excellent spot! The best burritos in town + taco Tuesdays with happy hour
R. N.
The nachos here are amazing but other dishes are kinda meh and the service isn't the best.
M. O.
Been here twice now and both times had the best burritos I've ever had. Get the Chicken Lickin!
A. C.
Cocktails and drinks are lovely. The burritos are really filling, don't go nuts on starters.
E. E.

M. P.
Tasty authentic tacos and the taco Tuesday prices plus happy hour are great value!
G. R.
We love it here. Shame you cannot book tables but if you dont mind the wait here, you have to try the buttered fries!!
H. B.
Good prices, great food. Desert was gigantic plus a bar downstairs if you want a few drinks before you leave.
J. L.
Service was good and the food nice albeit spicy :)
D.
I would strongly recommend this place if youre after a nice saucy burger or if you want to eat nice burritos!
F. M.
Great food and drink nice and affordable but definitely book a table as it's always busy but nice busy not packed
J. B.
Wait times for a table are quite short. Prices aren't bad. Food is fantastic. Staff are friendly
Z. H.
Very good and nice food, pleasant staff. However toilets were really dirty and disgusting
