The food there is beyond words! You probably can’t find anything like this anywhere else, and staff there is amazing, Victor always makes sure his customers enjoying the food. And barista Michael makes my fave coffee. Highly recommended, if you are not living around burton road, it’s definitely worthy the travel!

Wow! Just walking past, looked interesting after having passed a sea of similar looking bars and restaurants along that strip. Hands down the best croissant I’ve had in the UK, since moving from Montreal where it’s croissant heaven. 100% recommend, authentic Portuguese vibe and lovely owner!

I don't eat normally bread so much due to digestion but this breakfast toasted roubd bread with mozzarella cheese (please let me know the name of the food, i might have the same one next time!) I had with latte was mega great! I would recommend people normally don't eat bread for the same reason to try their food! When it comes to service, 5 stars are too little. I would personally 10 stars double than the Google rate I could give. The place you go there with hunger and thirst but coming out from the venue with happiness and smile is the one Mercado 😊 reasonably priced and that chocolate sweet the end is just so fantastic ❤️ by the way, fully understandable why this coffee shop is the best coffee shop in Manchester.

Amazing food and drinks here! Well worth a visit. I stopped in for a sandwich with a friend and we were treated to some fresh squeezed orange juice while we waited. Highly recommend the vegan sandwich - the sauce was amazing! I’ll definitely be back soon.

What a delightful cafe. The food was amazing, the croissants even better, especially with the pistachio filling! To top it all of the service was also friendly and helpful... I think its important when you ask a place whats the best thing to get, and they give you a proper answer.

Amazing food and lovely atmosphere! Went for an arepa cooking class and had an amazing time. Staff were so helpful and attentive, and the selection of food and produce in store is just lovely. Definitely worth making it a regular spot to visit!

This is the best deli & coffee bar in Didsbury and the most authentically Italian by a long way. Excellent coffee and food, all freshly made and baked, and very friendly, efficient service from Viktor and his team. The best place to stop for lunch on Burton road. I always get a really warm welcome and the food is delicious! Today I had the Cuban panini. The slow cooked pork was just incredible, served in focaccia bread. The coffee is also really delicious. Mercado Deli has really become a staple for me.

The best Deli Market in the World! I am so happy Mercado has opened on Burton Rd and I can have the taste of true Italy on my lips once again. Their food, coffee, service and ambience is unsurpassable even in Italy - it's that good! Their vanille gelato is better than I have ever tasted in the whole of the Emilia Romagna region and I have eaten in Bologna, Rimini and Riccione but Vito's gelato knocks spots off them all. Vlad, Michael and Libby greet you with the broadest smiles every time you enter and the food and drink offering is the most interesting to come to Manchester ever. They have brought not just the best Italian but South American cuisine to the suburb of West Didsbury and I am so excited to see what they do with their later night opening hours coming up to the festive period. Mercado we love you!

Mercado is a mix between a cafe and deli. It's a great place to get a coffee and snack, but does a good selection of panini too (I recommend the Milano). You can sit in or take out, and there's a decent selection of Italian/Spanish food in the deli section.

I love this place. Reasons why... Superb food - the cachitos are the most delicious thing I have eaten in ages (and the empanadas are not far behind!). Top Sicilian wines at VERY reasonable price. I might start cheating on Reserve! Best coffee in Didsbury! Most importantly - Victor and Sara. Attentive, super-friendly and know their stock inside-out. Victor mentioned they are getting draught Venezuelan beer soon too! My new fave spot on Burton Road.

Fantastic addition to Burton Road. It's essentially a South American bakery, with a brilliant selection of home-cooked treats (meat, veggie, vegan). Their coffee is also excellent. Really authentic, lovely staff who explain the menu to you and a perfect option for a quick lunch.

We were on a standard lockdown walk and decided to venture into West Didsbury for a change, so happy to stumble across this place. Amazing place to stop by and have something to eat and drink from Venezuela, Italy or Spain. You can buy some of the ingredients, food and beverages in the on spot market and even attend the “Arepas workshop” they do to learn how to prepare this Venezuelan dish yourself. Super professional and friendly staff, very well decorated and nice chill music in the background which makes the perfect atmosphere! I highly recommend this place - it is my new fav!
