Outdoor seating with rocking beanbag chairs- fantastic.
The food was lovely too- especially the focaccia - super light and full of flavour.
Inside is awesome, maximalist decor- really vibrant.
Too expensive to spend the entire night but great as a stop off.

I didn't like the way they treat us, 4 of us order cocktails, after half an hour one of the staff ask if we want another drink even we didn't finish our drinks, and we said ' no we are fine for now' and after 2 mins they bring us the bill. How rude and disappointing was that.
Definitely, not coming back again. We just paid and left. Very bad experience
S. S.Absolutely Brilliant Venue!! Highly highly recommend. I rented out one of the function rooms for my 30th and it was perfect! The room itself was absolutely beautiful it didn’t require much decorating at all. We were able to play our own music all night. My friends and I had the best time The staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming. - Ollie Beaumont was very helpful in arranging the room. Thank you to the whole staff. I will 100% be returning and will recommend to everyone
l. b.Called in for one quick drink but ended up staying for three. Lovely decor and atmosphere and our visit was made so much better by our lovely friendly waiter Roberto. Such a sociable guy. A pleasure to have met.

K. F.We went in on the off chance of getting a table on Sat afternoon. We had our two and four year olds in tow and had been made to feel pretty unwelcome at the Slug and Lettuce. This place restored my faith in Deansgate restaurants. Our two year old was asleep so they gave us a secluded booth with area for the pram. The staff were amazing and gave the kids balloons from a party they were setting up for. The food was so lovely and it was a really relaxed lunch with the kids. Would highly recommend for service alone.

A. T.Everything was fine, staff was also very friendly. Breakfast was good. But things that I don't like are
1- Design/ Architecture of the room.
2- Room was to small with a small window opening with limited natural light inside the room.
3- TV position was one of the Bizare that I have ever seen, just attached to the bed and if you are tall person you can easily kick out the TV in your sleep😆.
O. J.Have visited Motley three times now and unfortunately have been more disappointed with each visit. Each time the drinks have been warm (bottle of Prosecco even came in a warm wine cooler) and on the most recent visit we ordered a side of fries which tasted of fish and were also cold. In its favour the atmosphere is good but that is seriously outweighed by warm drinks and cold food. Gave Motley the benefit of the doubt but after three disappointing visits we’ll not be returning.

M. C.Food was alright, the foccacia was lovely, but the service was painfully slow for us (quiet Friday early lunch). It took ages to get our drinks ordered (table behind us came in after but got all the attention). No salt on table, had to wander round to find it, obvs no one noticed and offered to help, and no plates for a shared small plate meal.
A.Very nice atmosphere but drinks despite being very nice were quite expensive and service got pretty slow at points. Definitely a nice place to start you night slow with a few drinks and good vibes

N. G.I've been here before and given it 5 stars, this time however the food wasn't great, my grandson had the fererro rocher eclair for desert, it cost £8 plus 10% service charge we weren't impressed to say the least, they do still serve the best coffee though
E. S.Went in for one drink mid week as it looked warm and welcoming from outside. Ended up having a few of their amazing cocktails! Highly recommend the caught in the rain and the burnt honey old fashioned!! We also ordered some churros!! Great atmosphere inside and we were really looked after by Dan the Manager! He went above and beyond. Like the sign says and it’s true to its word! - a great place to eat, drink and hangout. Pop in for a drink- you won’t regret it!

A. O. B.Relaxing, sophisticated place where you can work from..at least that's what I did. The staff made me feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble and I wasn't rushed away. Going to places on your own can feel a bit daunting, so when you're immediately comfortable it makes for a truly pleasant experience and that's exactly what I got.
Business lunches, just friends hanging out, or a change of scenery- I thoroughly recommend it. The outdoor seating is very well laid out with permanent heating options and blankets too!

J. C.Excellent experience waiter Roberto was exceptional good and charming. Nothing to difficult to oblige. Tables and seating with cushions well presented lovely atmosphere for wedding anniversary meal. Food well prepared. We spent £70 -£80 and parking is free on meter after 8.00pm.

C. J.Ate there last Friday with a group of 6 friends. The venue was visually pleasing nice decor and atmosphere. The waiter came over and as I was looking at the menu I asked why it was called Motley?
He replied and I quote "because of the Motley Crue"!!!
Immediately that threw me, as a Motley Crue fan of many years I know the look and feel of anything that is representative of this band.
All of a sudden with the waiters comment in my mind the restaurant now didnt look right, the whole look was totally out of kilter, the menu design, typography, colour palette so wrong and every bit of branding and decor was awful.
I told my party of friends what the waiter said and showed them a photo of the actual Motley Crue and they were shocked to say the least.
This bugged me for the rest of my stay at the venue, and I am just hoping that the waiter was joking with me.
If this isnt the case and their point of reference was indeed the band then this venue has to be the worst branded and decorated restaurant ever and whichever designer or agency presented this vision to the owners needs to get get a job in 'Greggs' because they definitely dont have any skills in branding and design!

Great place to stay if your wanting the best of both worlds
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Especially a guy called Nathan who was very good at his job & worked hard to make sure your stay was an enjoyable experience.
The rooms are very clean & the beds are very comfy.
Would definitely recommend this place & if we return to Manchester we will look into staying again.
