The food and the service was excellent! the receptionist received us with a big smile, once at the table everyone was very attentive ( Dennis )many recommendations in food and drinks, the manager andrei was exceptional, amazing cocktails, the best option to eat in Manchester.

We chose Mount Street for our wedding lunch for a party of 33 and it was the best thing we could have done. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, they provided halal food for our guests based on pre orders and gave us separate seating in their stunning restaurant. The food was exceptional and I could not recommend this restaurant enough for any parties for events. Thank you so much to all the team for making our day so perfect.

Well equipped bar and restaurant that runs smoothly and efficiently. Good selection of drinks with a commendable choice of lovely English sparkling/wines.
Very impressed with the breakfast choices and manageress Elizabeth, efficient and attentive.
A. W.
Lovely meal, staff attentive but not intrusive.
B. T.
Excellent British Restaurant parked in the midland hotel. Very nice cozy dining room. Very good value ala cart and set menus.
Simple yet refined dishes made with very well sourced British produce.
Flavors we bold and techniques we faultless. From the starters, mains and desserts everything was very good. Stand out dessert was the brown butter cake, perfect toasty butter flavor with a nice gooey texture. Their twist on a rhubarb crumble was interesting.
Only gets 4/5 stars as the meal overall might have been a little heavy but probably due to the season and the dishes we ordered.
Service was excellent and attentive.
Cocktail menu was interesting. Well made and tasty.
Overall a must go if your in the Manchester area.

Disappointing experience here for my birthday. Was taken as a treat by a friend who had prepaid for my meal. Started promisingly with two tasty starters of scallops and truffle mushrooms on toast with a poached egg. Really delicious. Main course, my partner chose the beef cheek (delicious) and I chose the 10z sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce and harissa salt chips. Then the wheels came off...
I don't think the chips were salted at all. The peppercorn sauce was very sweet and not at all the peppery tang I'd hoped for. But the steak itself - 5oz of it was just pure fat. Pretty much inedible. I mentioned this to the lovely waitress who collected our plates and she agreed it was very fatty and said 'let me see what I can do'. Then watched her approach another staff member (youngish bearded guy in a suit), and show him the plate, at which point he then looked at our table and then shake his head! As if who we are and what we looked like made any difference to the fact that they served me a steak that looked like it had been cut from a blubber whale.
One nice touch was a pre ordered happy birthday plate. Very nice surprise.
Desserts we chose were the roasted pineapple and coconut - bother were not great. Ice cream was mostly melted on both by the time we got them. The first was a weird dessicated little shard of something coconutty and strange tasting pineapple. And the peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake was rich and claggy, which I'm afraid I found quite cloying. Honeycomb was good though.
Then there was a long delay with the bill as the aforementioned bearded waiter forgot it. Then the bill was wrong which took more time to sort. And after all that they still added a service charge! And anywhere that charges £4.50 for a bottle of still water is just shocking in my book.
Had high expectations but sadly only 3/6 dishes were decent and the service wasn't quite up to par - it felt a little chaotic. Not the best birthday experience alas. Photos supplied (note the fatty steak!).

Fantastic quality food and drinks. Good selection of cocktails, and easy to upgrade meal from the groupon voucher by just paying a supplement. Great service and will definitely be visiting again.

Service as sharp, attentive, friendly and all round impeccable when it comes to allergies. The environment is vibrant. Cocktails are inventive and tasty. Food is hit and miss. The lamb rump was tender and served with cracked wheat, giving it a nice balance. The trout was also well cooked but unfortunately a bit too salty. Serving size is perfect.
B. K.
The food is very tasty. The staff are very friendly and their suggests are reliable and helpful. The price is a bit higher than other restaurant but it's worth. Don't forget to have this liquor with dessert.
C. K.
Really enjoyed the visit. An upscale restaurant without trying to be posh. Interesting music choices! Food was delicious most importantly. 4 stars for a sticky table (varnished i think, it was clean) and bathroom was just repainted and there was some miscommunication as to where to go
J. L.
Better than "The French"! Great ambiance, food, creativity and lovely helpful staff who go the extra mile. Wonderful experience going there. we will be back soon!!
P. T.
Disappointed after our first visit since it was revamped. The decor itself is a great improvement on the boring grey scheme they had before. Unfortunately the food quality is not as good as it used to be.
First course of roasted celeriac soup was ok but the main course of chicken turned up lukewarm with an incredibly thick jus and minus the truffled fries.Yes they took the cost of these off the bill but by the time they turned up I'd just about finished the chicken. The dessert of 'honey pudding' with lavender and white chocolate - well least said the better.
One other thing that needs improvement is the menu: printed in a thin typeface green on off white our party had difficulty reading it. And please remove the silly placeholder text at the bottom.

Wow what an excellent experience service was second to none. The food was wonderful, only thing that we wasn't happy with was there was no Goosnargh chicken which my Mum really wanted
A. N.
Brilliant pre theatre meal, quick, efficient and delicious. All staff were amazing.

I was disappointed with some aspects of this visit which is why I have only given four stars.
We pre-booked our meal at Mount Street Dining Room for a Sunday around 2pm. When we arrived, there were plenty of spare tables and the staff were friendly and helpful. The drinks order arrived promptly but the food order took around 25 minutes for starters to be served.
The House sourdough with honey and almond butter was basically six large slices of a loaf with butter.
The BBQ sourdough bruschetta was a disappointment.. The sourdough was very, very lightly toasted and a single tomato had been cut into 6 pieces and covered in rocket. Unimaginative and bland.
However, the Roast Pork Loin was very tasty and filing.
The meal was let down by the starters but I would definitely give the venue a second chance. Reasonable value at under £60 for two.
Finally, if you are arriving by car, there is plenty of parking for the Restaurant in the NCP underground car park behind the venue. There are also several disabled parking bays across from the venue opposite Starbucks.
S. N.
The food was very good especially the 16oz rib eye steak.

Nice place to visit and, infact, a famous hotel with top quality dance bands playing in the past. Unfortunately, the banging row in the restaurant did not enhance the dining experience...told the waiter about this: nothing done: they could have charged the record! Food ok but expensive for what it was...correct cutlery not present for the puddings
....

Realised I had been here before after making my way here. Look great gins, great fit out but a little disappointed in the extras. The drink, a gin martini - fabulous but I expected a bit more flair to the drinks plus something to go on the sides (nuts) that you don't have to pay for as I was by myself sitting at the bar. Maybe I'm too used to European extras but its the least they can do for the level 9f bar it is.
L. G.
Nice food place is nicely decorated staff are great would be expensive if it's not on Groupon

I admire this spot! They have tasty food, they have a nice menu, The chef in that restaurant is a real authority in the kitchen, I like very much tasting all their food. The dishes are always fresh and tasty, the service towards the customers is efficient. I often eat in this place and I was never disappointed. I recommend it to all my friends.
A. B.
Been here several times, good service and cocktails. Was disappointed with my choice on the last visit, way to strong, tasted of bleach. Nò offer to help me make it drinkable with mixer etc.
T. C.
Food very tasty and the staff very friendly and the price is very worth it, will come again
P. S.
I had been to Mr Cooper's previously for a birthday meal and possibly due to insufficient staff, I had found the service to be poor, (although my beef cheek main dish was delicious). Given the great reputation of Mr Cooper's, I emailed them about the extremely disappointing service and to their credit, the managerial staff offered for myself and my partner to return for a complimentary two course meal, and a cocktail.
Having been this afternoon, our experience was everything that the previous visit had not been. The food was (still) fantastic but the service was friendly, attentive but never intrusive, from the moment that we stepped through the door. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this place for a dining experience and look forward to returning again to sample more of their delicious menu.
C. M.
We went for a meal at Mr Coopers on Saturday night. First time for us.
It was busy even for a Saturday night but the staff still were still attentive and friendly. We ordered 2 cocktails and our food from the waitress (who Introduced herself as frankie) and were convinced to try some of the homemade bread.
The bread was delicious and a great recommendation! The food was quick and very tasty, however our cocktails took a while to arrive. Once we brought this up to the waitress she was quick in chasing them up and the manager agreed to take them off our bill which was kind of her.
Service was amazing and very friendly. 100% would recommend a meal at coopers though maybe not on a Saturday night.
P. M.
Fantastic food, although not as fine dining as the last time I went here. The menu is a little more conventional with things like steaks and the mains less experimental. The service was polite but slow, and the 4 poor staff seemed very rushed off their feet. Our drinks took and age to arrive, the bar didn't know basic cocktail recipes, and I saw one couple leave before ordering! But once we were sat and eating the food was lovely and plenty of it too. The place has slipped a little since it first opened, and I get the feeling that might be intentional. Light jazz and classical has been replaced by Abba and Dolly Parton blaring out. It has a less refined feel and a more party atmosphere. As I say, that might be the intention, hence the name change to just "Mr Cooper's" too.
B. D.
Visited for lunch on a Friday, restaurant very busy and, I felt, fell below the standard expected for the price. Bread ordered with soup starters didn't arrive, nor did sprouts & pancetta, ordered with the turkey, despite the waiter being reminded when delivering the main course. The main course was average but the cheese & biscuits final course was generous and enjoyable. Overall, I felt that we could have done just as well at a lower priced establishment.
C. B.
We visited Mr Cooper's today for Sunday lunch. As always the food was exceptional. Great atmosphere in a lovely room. First class service again from Frankie, she is a credit to the restaurant. So professional! As a midland regular and health club member I will be back soon, we just love the midland!

The wife and I ate here last night. The food was fantastic. The decor was fun and interesting however, the lighting was really bright, it felt akin to eating in a cafeteria. Coupled with the loud, high energy music made the experience less special. The table staff weren't very friendly, they seemed like they didn't want to be there. We actually left after two courses and went for desert over at the French which was nothing short of AMAZING, beautiful decor and relaxed atmosphere, with super friendly, warm and engaging staff.. they saved our date night lol.
Basically the food at Mr Coopers is really good but it doesn't seem to know what it wants to be; is it fine dinning or a hip place for nibbles, drinks and a dance.. bizarre experience but worth a try if you don't mind paying £70 for SUPER great steak (for 2) in a cafeteria/rave esque establishment.
P. L.
Great decor, amazing food, faultless service. One cocktail was kindly taken off the bill due to arriving late. Little let down from the toilet as 1 of the ladies' cubicle had a faulty lock. Otherwise, perfect place for a meal. If you're looking for stuffing your face and small price tags though this is not the place. Every dish was carefully selected and prepared, we enjoyed them all.
M. J.
Stunning cocktails and great staff in the bar area. The Bonfire night drink took my breath away. Would highly recommend.
G. H.
A great meal from this restaurant venue inside the Midland Hotel. The food and wine menus are chosen with consideration of their diners profile and is good enough for all but the most exacting of fussy eaters. The service led by the very attentive manager Marie - pronounced Mari - is super friendly in this relaxed and cool establishment. Definitely one to revisit.
J. D.
Great food - good discount if staying at the Midland
M. B.
Can't comment on the full food menu, however the bar has a good selection of drinks and the bartenders seem to have a good cocktail knowledge. The bar snacks are limited but very nice (croquettes, padron peppers). It's reasonably nicely done out, the only down side is the service can be a touch slow, especially when the restaurant is busy.
P. W.
If I could give this place 4 and a half stars I would, there's very little to fault about the service, decor and ambience, and what I've tried from the menu has always been of excellent quality. My only hang up is that the menu is quite limited, and while I've always found more than one option is like to order, others in my party have sometimes struggled.
This is essentially the bistro of highly acclaimed parent restaurant, The French: the last restaurant to have a Michelin star in Manchester (way back in 1977). Talented chef Adam Reid is at the helm of both eateries but Mr Cooper's offers value which is probably unbeaten elsewhere in Manchester.
On my last visit I ordered every single small plate and enjoyed all of them immensely; particularly the smoked leak soup and chicken thigh.
Highly recommended for date night, birthday celebrations or a lunchtime treat.
D. S. F. (.
Had a couple of nicely made cocktails in a pleasant bar.
K. B.
The three stars is pretty much for the cocktails and caramel tart. If I was feeling for a drink and dessert I would definitely go back. Otherwise not so much. The service was abrupt and our waiter was very slow and inattentive. The ham croquettes were delicious, but followed by one of the worst steaks I've ever had. My steak was rare despite my medium order and my partner's was tough and overdone despite him also ordering medium. The peppercorn sauce had clearly been left and had a skin and no peppercorns and the harissa salt chips showed no sign of salt or harissa. The saving grace was really the caramel tart which is delicious especially if you have a sweet tooth. The atmosphere is very dry and you definitely feel like you're in a hotel restaurant.
L. G.
Food is lovely but the outdoor garden theme is too authentic... Our table was an outdoor slotted with a hole for an umbrella! For the price I'd prefer a proper table and chairs. Also very strong smell of chlorine was a bit off-putting.
J. C.
The restaurant is very light and airy, a really pleasant place to be. The food was delicious, very small portions were enough for lunch but you would need to add on a couple of sides at £4.00 each if you went for dinner.
Badly let down by disorganised , disinterested staff. It took half an hour to get a drink even though it wasn't busy. When I asked for some ice I got a tut and an eye roll.
B. A.
Not the experience expected in this average eating place. Food was standard quality and staff need to be more attentive, especially ensuring correct cutlery is supplied for various courses.
Breakfast spoiled through lack of fried eggs even though requested.
M. R.
A lovely experience all round. A pre theatre meal in the Midland hotel. Such a great place and I highly recommend Mr coopers. The staff were friendly welcoming and efficient. The ambience was lovely and elegant. The food was beautifully prepared and presented and the flavours were a delight. Do visit.
F. G.
I loved the place the food was delicious I had the Sunday roast as did my son and husband. Only critique is the music....it wasn’t very uplifting at all, needs to be a bit more cheerful. As I said however the food, wine and service were spot on. Best Sunday roast I’ve had by miles
S. L.
This really is the sister restaurant to The French. The quality of the dishes is incredible, amazing flavours and textures. The service is excellent also, really attentive and well trained, polite, disciplined staff. The cocktail menu is wonderful as are the surroundings, from grand tall tables in the bar to the tree in the garden it really is a lovely place to be.
J. P.
Food wonderful, service in bar excellent. Service in restaurant poor. Restaurant wasn’t overly busy either. Two members of our party only got half their meal. Had to ask for the salad which should have been served with their meal. Came when they’d almost finished their lunch.
J. R.
Absolutely amazing. The waitress, Claire, was superb. Ive eaten in some of the finest restaurants in London, and this was the best service I have ever encountered. Overheard us talking about nut allergies so came back to ensure it wasn't an allergy for one of us, and when it came to cheese, upsold us a fine selection of port to accompany it. Can't fault this place or the service.
Ł. D.
Mr Cooper's remains one of the best restaurants in Manchester, offering a fabulous menu and superb service despite a somewhat informal setting. The food has never disappointed me; it's always beautifully presented, exciting and delicious. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. Highly recommended.
B. T.
We had a really delicious meal here and it was great value for money - we got the early evening set menu, it's a fabulous deal. Attentive staff made us feel welcome and looked after. There was a great choice of dishes on the set menu and it was all beautiful.
M. M.
We had a lunch at Mr Cooper for our wedding on11th April 2015 with my syrian/french family and everyone loved it! The food and service was excellent, beautiful drinks with a flower on top. They even agreed on us bringing a special dessert from outside to which most of the other places I looked into usually refused. The staff was very easy and friendly to work with to choose the dishes and accommodate any dietary requirements in preparation of this day. Now we always come back to have a drink or a lunch whenever we pass by Manchester! I most recommend this place! A big thank you to Mr Cooper's team and Chef!
W. B.
When you pay £25 for a steak I personally think it should be the best you have ever had.
The steak was good. Cooked as I asked and served with mash and a jus. It did not however justify the price tag.
The setting was nice and the staff were attentive. The wine was also very good.
A. K.
Absolutely loved Mr Cooper's, the venue is grand with the high ceilings and opulent features yet the decor is very modern and offers a more homely, laid back quality. The menu also reflected this, traditional dishes with a modern, exotic twist and the food was beautiful! The staff were really helpful and the price was extremely reasonable. 100% recommend it for a special dinner.
F. S.
This restaurant is a fest to your senses. I ate here for 3 days and I must say that each plate was unique, creative and with new flavors created with basic ingredients. Service is unrivalled and the location convenient for business.
To recommend .... The lamb, the salmon and ALL deserts.
R. P.
Went here with my wife to celebrate her birthday and both of us absolutely love the place! The food was amazing - really amazing! - and the staff were helpful & attentive... definitely a place we’ll be returning to.
L. p.
We visited on Saturday evening. The food was amazing we had the meatballs for starters and the steak for main course. The atmosphere was amazing and so were the staff very friendly and made us all feel really welcome. I heard it was expensive but you get what you pay for. We loved it and will definately be going back.
S. W.
This is one of my favourite places to eat, however on this occasion I was a little disappointed. My husband and I don't eat meat but we do eat fish. I love Sea bass but this dish contained bacon. So I was left with a choice of Cod, a pasta dish or minty pea rissoto. I think the rissoto could be changed as this has been on the menu a long time and I think the veggie dishes could be a lot more exciting as there is so much more to do now for vegetarian dishes. I do like a rhubarb and ginger gin with ginger beer. Must be Fevertree it's the best. However I was given a gin not sure what flavour and a Fevertree ginger ale. Not good. Otherwise a nice atmosphere with a good vibe where you can have a conversation without having to shout. Service is excellent and our waiter on this occasion was great. He took off the price of my gin as it wasn't what I asked for and I just didn't like it
K. K.
Visited on recommendations that the food is good so was dissapointed. Had sea bass with potato bacon and leeks. The bacon and leeks had very crunchy bits in like sand or dirt thats gets you just behind the ears when you bite down. Pork belly was so fatty I know it's fatty anyway but just the thinnest piece of meat running through. Partner had steak that was ok. Hope it's better next time.
L. S.
Oh my goodness, this was the best meal I have had in a LONG time - and I've been for a fair few!!! Love the cool 'house' setting when you walk into the bar but where you eat, the 'garden' takes the biscuit, cool little gazebos that you can eat in and a huge planted tree in the middle of the restaurant. You sit on benches or wicker chairs and the food is absolutely delectable. Would recommend the pork scratching nibbles to start (they're like shavings) with apple gel (yes, gel) and the duck for main with rice puds for, ahem, puds.
S. C.
5* Food but variable service. I have to say the food here is always excellent and great value for money in comparison to some of the other pretentious pretenders on the Manchester scene. However, sometimes the service is absolutely excellent here with everything running smoothly and without hinderance, but on quieter days (Sundays are prime for this) the service is hindered by staff in training who unfortunately probably need more training before they take to service.
A. L.
A Simon Rogan restaurant that just tickles all the right taste buds. I was here on a Sunday and between the choice of a Sunday roast and the a la carte menu, I went for the latter only because I'd spotted a lamb rump dish sounded divine. The meat was so tender and the sauce was an explosion of flavours! Coupled with an excellent specialty cocktail (Cinema Swirl) and then finished with a chocolate hazelnut pavlova! Very good indeed!
Update (July 2016) - Still as amazing as always. The menu changes regularly and the Herdwick lamb rumps that are on at the moment are incredible; so tender and flavourful! Each bite was heavenly bliss! Pricey and portions are small but wow, the quality is off the charts!
J. C.
Food and setting extremely high quality however extremely slow to bring drinks to the table, I even had to get up to them to order some more which then took 10 mins to come to the table, they also didn’t check if the starter or mains were ok. This shouldn’t detract from a great restaurant, perhaps some adjustments in service would benefit the experience :)
L. D.
One of the best in Manchester for a special meal out, especially if The French is a bit out of your price range. Brilliant food by Simon Rogan and gorgeously fresh decor. The staff are attentive and welcoming without being over bearing. The scallops are up there the best I've ever tasted.
A. L.
We arrived 15min early so we were seated at the bar which gave us a chance to try the bar menu. I ordered the pear & cardamon Bellini but could not taste the cardamon which I was assured the pear purée had been infused with. Clearly it wasn't as there wasn't any cardamon syrup left so the mixologist made up some fresh and added it to my Bellini and topped up the prosecco which did improve it but for some reason the cocktail was not cold enough. We were soon seated and i would say the decor is confusing... The art work is a picture of a garden with a blue bin that's been repeated... The ceiling is super high with brass pendant lighting and then there's random trees in places... It's quite fancy but then the bathrooms are the opposite of fancy with doors not locking, paper towels everywhere. Everyone but us was dressed up... We didn't know it was fancy! Food wise... The meat / fish options were plentiful and the oxtail with marrow croquettes were proper delish and great value. The clam chowder with sweet corn fritter though only a small portion was rich and tasty (according to the meat water). The main being the sea bass in a tomatoey concoction was tasty but not groundbreaking. I had the cheese puffs with pickles to start... The cheese puffs were... Literally very thinly sliced cheese that's been deep fried served with a pickle jam - interesting but doesn't compare at all to the oxtail marrow croquettes (in terms of portion size and effort)! The starter being a spinach roll with dashi and tiny mushroom was tasty but the spinach was overpowered by the sauce... The vegetarian main (there were two to choose from) was cabbage heart served with mushrooms, teriyaki sauce and horseradish mayo (which was foamed). The teriyaki sauce was far too thick. The mushroom I did not find until i had eaten all of the cabbage. The mayo - I seriously could not taste the horseradish! I didn't in fact finish my dish as I found it far too rich! We then ordered the caramel tart and the warm pear cake which was served with chamomile icecream and Douglas fir. They were both good but on the small side... All in all, good service let down by the bathrooms and the not so greatly executed vegetarian options. 3 stars for veggie, 4 overall. Definitely think it's a great place for groups although we noticed also a lot of tables for twos for people on dates.

Had a lovely meal. Rack of Lamb was very tender and delicious. Staff very attentive and came up with a fantastic option for dessert.
Lovely wine and a great ambience.

We went to Mr coopers Sunday 3rd December 2017 our server was Rebecca and she was so lovely and attentive. She really looked after us and food was amazing. I would highly recommend it and value for money. We definitely will be back.
H. A.
The meal was delicious (perhaps just a tad oversalted), but I expected elegance in the decor and the ambience, considering the location in the historic building. Instead, the harsh lighting, outdoor type furniture, the odd choice of music and the smell of bleach (or similar) added to the feel of a cheapish canteen.
N. B.
Service, seating and environment without loud irritating music were excellent . Food was absolutely delicious. Only reason I took one star away was the fact that stake came without chips and veg and these had to be paid for separately. Soup came without a roll and butter.
A. H.
Fab food. Lovely staff. Groupon customers have a separate menu which avoids ambiguity. Cocktails aren't classics but the food alone is worth the price.
T. B.
We've only been in for drinks at the bar but the whole place is beautiful. A great place for a date if you're after something a bit smarter. Bar service was great and we've stopped in here a few time now later on for a few cheeky cocktails on an evening.
C. F.
Very nice food, a bit fancy & pricey for my taste though. I didn't appreciate there being no complete meals on the menu (this was a few months ago, might have changed now) - we had to order the 'parts' of the meal separately to create a whole.
C.
Lovely hotel. I didn't have dinner here but the breakfast was outstanding. I was a little disappointed at first that there was only scrambled egg at the buffet but it was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

Mr Cooper's House & Garden is a must go to restaurant in Manchester. You have to try this place at least once to experience the delights of food you will never have tasted before. Simon Rogan is a genius when it comes to combining elements of dish to complement the taste and without a doubt I would recommend ordering the Lamb off the main menu. The staff are polite and always there for you if you need. Mr Cooper's is in a great location to host this fantastic food journey you will be taken on.
T. D.
A great option for anyone looking to have a special meal. Both the food and the service are first class.
I've taken advantage of the Pre-Theatre menu a number of times now and although your choice is restricted I always see it as a chance to try something new.
I've not been disappointed by anything on the menu so far.
D. R.
Excellent food and service, shame you end with a bitter taste of them adding am unadvertised service charge of nearly 20 pounds to the bill. Yes you can argue for them to remove it but how many people do this, pure highway robbery.
R. T.
Mr Cooper’s House and Garden is one of my favourite restaurants in the city and I have being frequenting it since it opened last year. Affordable fine dining in a grand relaxed space with informal service. And at less than £25 per head, fine dining doesn't get cheaper than that! If you haven’t tried Mr Cooper’s House and Garden yet, I highly recommend you do, its definitely worth a visit.
M. O.
Food was lovely but it was very brightly lit sadly bit like sitting in a large cafe. Dress code for the waiters was very hit and miss. Struggled for refills on drinks
G. S.
Excellent lunch menu. Three courses for £20 and not an average dish between us. The wine list is excellent and the service was second to none. Highly recommended.
W. S.
Perfect service, great cocktails and the atmosphere and style of the interior was inspired.
My only issue with Mr Coopers House & Garden is the food was over salted to the point where it was over the "Down to taste" point and i can deal with salt.
l. w.
Fantastic place, staff and atmosphere.. very welcoming. 5 stars all the way.
N. A.
Fantastic cocktails & bar food!

Sumptuous Sunday Lunch in bright airy modernist dining room, excellent value for money considering it's location.
We opted for two courses from the set menu the celeriac soup was velvet in it's texture with truffle croutons and a drizzle of oil.Delicious.
Main course of Medium Rare roast beef,Roast and Boiled potatoes with a veg medley and cauliflower cheese all good,Only quibble it wasn't very hot Ok by me but some folks prefer their lunch to be radioactive!
We opted to share the Lavender dusted churros for desert crispy and fluffy.
Both had a draught beer to wash it all down with.
Hope to return soon.

Popped into Mr Cooper's for a pre-theatre tipple. Lovely atmosphere and friendly barman who made a really good recommendation for a cocktail. Definitely be coming back! :)

This place is amazing. What a find. Waiter so attentive. Offering drink suggestions and even places to try later on. Our drinks were beautifully presented and the atmosphere was so relaxed.

The food was delicious and well cooked. Relaxed environment and good service too. Drinks a bit on the expensive side but well made.
M. A.
Seabream with potatos and peppermint sauce was really nice . The salmon starter was very small portion . Overall good food and atmosphere .
S. G.
High class meal in luxurious surroundings for a reasonable price with pre theatre offer. We enjoyed it and fabulous old building with plenty of history.
E. F.
Devine food, exceptional service, Highly recommended. Had Lunch, evenning meal and Breakfast, all devine. Beverly and Elisatele went above and beyond and where Fabulous and made our Breakfast experience extra special. Highly recommend

Staff were very attentive and the food was very well presented and nice but we were disappointed that we had a very limited menu choice because we were using a Groupon voucher hence the 1 star loss.
J. P.
Amazing food, great atmosphere and really nice staff however the portion sizes were marginally on the small side.
H. G.
really special if a little eccentric. I particularly enjoyed the nibbles - pork scratching and blue cheese puffs, both of which came resembling quavers but with a delicacy of taste which made their appearance enchanting
K. P.
Really nice to be able to have a fine dining experience as a vegan. The food was amazing and the staff friendly and attentive
A. G.
Excellent all round. Staff can't do enough for you. Beautiful place lovely food. Midland Hotel best in Manchester
S. B.
It's not The French but it is Simon Rogan and it's a fraction of the price. Beautiful dining room, interesting menu and informal but attentive service makes for a lovely atmosphere all round.
C. S.
A nice place to escape the Saturday crush! There is a bar only section which opens later than the hours listed here, with a nice drinks selection and good service, with plenty of seating.
M. M.
Amazing experience, my son and I had the tomahawk steak it was incredible, staff amazing as you would expect in the Midland hotel, it's expensive but you sometimes do get what ya pay for
S. F.
Rustic food with fresh made bread to eat whilst your meal is on its way. If your going there for a graduation meal the graduate gets a free glass of Prosecco
T. F.
Updating this. Starter out of this world. Good value for hotel guests. BUT Overpriced Tomahawk steak was poor. Stick to the things you do well. This is not one of them.
S. C.
Great for an early dinner, I've never been for anything else. Great quality ingredients, make for great dishes
P. W.
Lovely food, friendly staff but not great atmosphere, although it is in my favourite hotel in Manchester! Good value.
N. A.

Fantastic food and very attentive staff. The food presentation was fantastic and 3 courses for £20 is fantastic value.
C. K.
Lovely food, but a quite a small menu if you eat there too often.
D. W.
Oh _so_ fabulous! Amazing food, and support amazing cocktails! We'll _definitely_ be visiting again; we might even make a special trip!
M. A.
Slow service, rushed us to sit for dinner and then took over 90 mins to serve starters and then an hour for mains. Food was awesome but let down by service
H. V.
Gorgeous building and lovely interior but food was a little disappointing for a AA Rosette restaurant. Friendly service.
E. C.
Our December treat doesn't disappoint, always buzzing, great wine especially the red Garage and white Gavi
J. S.

Great food and service, only thing that spoiled it was the lack of soft furnishings to absorb the noise.

(Translated) The quality of Manchester's fine restaurants, the environment is quiet, the bar and the restaurant are divided in half, and the dining feels freehand.
The restaurant is located near St. Peter Square, a 3-5 minute walk from the tram stop; the restaurant is next to the Midland Hotel.
The grilled food in the restaurant is well-prepared for the heat, the meat can be kept tender and smooth, and the outer layer also has a grilled flavor. Dessert Menu is also attractive, and it goes well with novelties. There are generally many services, but the overall awareness and familiarity with the wine list is not enough.

(Translated) The decoration food was pretty good, but the pork chops had the taste of overcooked oil, which is really not as good as that of a high-end restaurant, but at least the wood is not dry, the meat is fragrant, and the potatoes with the side dishes are not bad. The child's cry made people mistakenly think of being at McDonald's.
