Great little plant based Italian cafe bar. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff were warm, helpful and friendly, the decor was stylish and inviting. We will definitely be back in the evening to try the pizzas!

After wanting to visit since hearing about this place, we finally got the pleasure of experiencing it and we're overjoyed! The staff were so lovely & polite, the atmosphere was warm & wonderful & the food was absolutely delicious. We had pizza, lasagne & parmigiana and not only was it delivered quickly but it tasted incredible. Will definitely be visiting again, thank you!

Such tasty food. I am not vegan myself but I would not have known I was eating vegan food. Authentic Italian food with such a warm welcome and lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be returning when back in the area.

Visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening, I usually like my meat on pizza’s however I was overwhelmed with the fact that plant based food can taste & have the same texture to meat, me & my wife had a excellent experience and we were truly welcomed to this excellent restaurant. 5 stars all the way and I truly recommend this place. Had dinner here on Saturday evening. From as early as calling to make a reservation the staff were brilliant. I called on Friday to book for the following day and initially there was no table available around the time I wanted, so I said I'd have to book for another time. About 20 minutes later they called me back to say they'd just had a cancellation and would now be able to fit us in, much to my delight. Upon arriving the staff were all so welcoming and friendly. My fiancé and I ordered olives to share which were so tasty and fresh and then had a pizza each - I had the porcini mushroom pizza and I'm still dreaming about it. I am a vegan and he is not, but both of us throughly enjoyed the meal. Can't wait to visit again and would highly recommend this place to vegans and non vegans - it is just what Urmston needed!

Had the most amazing experience at Ortica tonight. The food was outstanding and the service was some of the best I’ve experienced; Harry and Carmen were extremely helpful with their suggestions and explanations of dishes and made us feel very welcome. I had to the pleasure of trying most of the menu as we were a large party and everything we had was incredible! Amazing from start to finish, i would recommend everyone to go and try for themselves! I will be back very soon!

Just had lunch with a vegetarian friend who absolutely raved about it. I'm a meat eater but did not miss it because the food was amazing. Staff helpful and polite. No fault whatsoever in fact I am tempted to say better than any veggie restaurant I have been in. Best value for money ever. Please go I know I will be back

I'm so excited this place is open! It is exactly the sort of vibe and food I've been missing since going vegan. On top of that, the service was extremely friendly from the moment I booked over the phone to the moment we left. My meat-eating family all loved it and were very impressed with everything. I also asked for a plain croissant to take home and they were out, they only had apricot-filled ones so I decided not to get one since I wanted the plain one, but when we left they came out and gave me a free apricot one to try. Great experience all around! Wish I lived closer!

Delicious high quality plates, selection of wines and great service. It was my second visit this week, the pizza is unbelievably tasty! And they are dog friendly!!! Can’t get any better tbh. Also treated myself to some their Italian product in store to try recreate the magic :)

Saw this place recommended on insta and omg it has become one of our absolute favourite vegan restaurants ever! We shared the rosemary focaccia with roast peppers, artichokes and wild broccoli so so fresh and delicious! Then we shared the lasagna and aubergine parmigiana, both again obviously made fresh and so tasty! I finished off with the affogato with vanilla ice cream and amaretto, the perfect end to a faultless meal! Service was great, really nice and personal, that you only get from a small business, cannot wait to return!!!

Delicious food, my partner and I shared 2 starts and 2 mains - tasted so fresh and light but filling. The nettle and chilli gin was such an interesting flavour. The staff were lovely too. I highly recommend this place, will definitely be returning!

Brilliant place, great service, wonderful food and wine, often Italian restaurants can be tired and boring with anglicised staples. This is Italian food that is light yet satisfying. A must for anyone vegetarian or vegan and/or loves Italian food. Excellent.

Wow! You walk in greeted by the mouthwatering smell of great cooking. Their freshly made bread is to die for. So is the Lasagne. Lovely chilled ambiance. Service is top notch. This is one of those places you make plans to return to.

This is a great little restaurant, a really good local find. I have to confess that I am not a Vegan, and although I think I am quite experienced with Italian food (which I love!), I could not imagine how this would work with a Vegan menu - so I was sceptical. However the quality of the food here is really great and the flavours were just fabulous! As a non Vegan I didn't notice anything Vegan about this meal, which was just an amazing Italian meal. Accompanied by a bottle Italian vino this food was top. Hopefully the menu will expand as the place becomes more popular in the future, which with this quality and particular style, seems an inevitability. I had the lasagna which was really good and we also had pizzas which worked really well. The starters were great as well. The staff/owners were really friendly and helpful. So in summary I was wrong to be sceptical about this place - it was really good. A great local place with a unique offering. I will certainly come back (although still not Vegan!).

Absolutely superb. Whether you're plant-based or a meat-lover, it doesn't matter. This food is exceptional. I'm gunna throw it out there and say it's the best food and service in Urmston. Seriously.

OK so this place is ABSOLUTELY worth the hype. The lasagne is GOD TIER. I had mocktails as I don't drink and they were delicious, however the people I were with had wine and cocktails and they all loved them. I was the only vegan in a party of 8 and everyone really loved their food. However please do not order stuff from the section with the bruschetta in it thinking its going to be the teeny starter portion you are usually cursed with at less authentic italian restaurants. We wasted so much food 😭 They are very much sharer portions, or could be an entire lunch. The olives were magnificent too. I'm sure we would usually have been advised on this but the restaurant was mega busy. The staff were still super lovely and attentive though, despite the place being totally full inside and out.

Really nice food, authentic Italian dishes but with Plant-Based changes. The vegan cheese is so good you can't tell its not dairy. They also served nice drinks and can cater to other dietary needs. I'll definitely go back soon.
