Stayed at the premier Inn next door so decided to eat here for a few nights. Visiting from London. Cannot fault the food, meals were tasty and of good portion. Breakfast variety was good. However the service by the waiting staff was very slow at dinner time. Breakfast time there was always a member of staff to greet you and show you to a table. Probably to check you have paid for the breakfast and your room no. At dinner time, asked the waitress for a lemonade in a slimmer glass as a beer glass was too much to drink and she brought out on a tray a slimline tonic water bottle, so had to ask another waiter to change the drink. Don't think she quite understood what we meant. When the waitress came to bring the correct drink and glass to the table she just slammed it down did not say sorry for getting it wrong. That's really bad. Asked for ice cream with the sticky toffee and was given custard. Minor errors but Customer service is everything and what people remember. Could hear another waitress saying to other customers that the cocktails and cream soda were out of stock. Nachos were out of stock too. Two TVs showing sports channel but couldn't hear as there was music playing over head. So went to our room to watch the big match instead. Would only return for the tasty food and location but not the service.

Booked a table for early evening as we were going to the palace theatre to see hairspray. Arrived early and was greeted and led to our table by a member of staff. Unfortunately a number of food items and drinks had sold out so it was a limited menu. The food we chose was available although we couldn't have our preferred drinks. The starters and mains were both tasty and plentiful and the service was good. My only gripe was the fact that we had to wait a considerable time between ordering and receiving our starter and main course, which was probably due to staff shortages. I would go to this restaurant again in spite of this as my family did enjoy the food and ambience.

Hidden away, next to Premier Inn. Good range of food on the menu. Bigger than what it looks like from the outside. Prices aren't Wetherspoons prices, think it was £12 for standard burger, £3+ for a coke. But food was nice and tables available.

Was out with my partner and the " 2 main meals for £8.99 before 18:00 " sounds good. We ordered a starter and a couple of drinks, main meals arrived buy no starter, staff apologised and the starter arrived shortly after. The bill was wrongly charged and after apologising the issue was resolved. Can't fault the food or drink. Guy's, your food is MUCH better than Spoons, your hygiene is MUCH better than spoons, on this occasion however the service left a little to be desired. Must do better.

Great food. Came here on a weekday evening as I was staying in the adjoined hotel with a friend, and the food was excellent. Also a shout out to Chelsie was fantastic and looked after us really well. Keep up the great work!

Stayed for a week, and had dinner here each night. Have done a few times now. My experience has (almost) always been of very courteous service, and perfectly speedy. I do predict they would struggle if it were busy though. The food is nice quality... No complaints there. The restaurant itself is a bit 'dingy'... They could do with a few more lights!

Pleasant surrounding. Food tasty, but on the pricy side. When I was there, only a choice of 2 beers. Staff friendly, but had to remind them that I had been waiting for 5 minutes or more for my beer order to be brought to my table. Was busy, but not that busy. Went there because convenient for the Bridgewater Hall. Probably advisable to book a table on concert nights for that reason.

Nice quite place for drinks. We always come here, once a week, as its close to tram stop and its quiet. However, standards have been dropping. Its always a mess in the bar area. Staff never clear tables and prefer to stand around and watch football instead. We have to clear our own table. Management, please take action because its not a busy place, staff just needs training properly.

The food is excellent. But last time we called there is a desk at the entrance with a sign saying please wait here to be seated. We waited 10 mins even though staff were moving around in the restaurant. No one approached us so we walked out and found somewhere else

My friends and I went for a meal on the 15 February 2018 at 5.15 as I am a sever celiac I was worried whether they catered for people like myself. I need not have worried the staff were fantastic, they showed me the menu helped me choose and made sure the no wheat in the kitchen touched my food knives and forks were separated from the rest. I felt I was being a nuisance but the staff put me at ease. Thank you Bishopsgate and the meal was tops.

Not increasable impressed with resturant service, got to watch a table seated after us order before ours. Ordered and waited over 40 mins to be asked about part of order they had run out of. Then another 30 minutes to get order. This was apparently because they where busy....I can count on one hand the number of occupied tables I can see... Would have walked out but meal was pre paid with hotel room via employer.

It's okay. That's all. Had a steak and it was tough, seriously tough. The breakfast was okay but the kitchen wasn't on top of keeping the buffet topped up. But all the food was edible so an okay overall.
