Top food, always hot and well made. Started ordering the mixed grill and a spicy masala sauce from here w/ some garlic and coriander Naan from here and the best I’ve had in a while, will definitely become my regular go-to.

Excellent quality food and I'd say confidently the best one around. Food was delicious and good to see no oil settling on the top of the curry sauce like most. Tasted authentic unlike recent ones I've been to where they taste generic and almost the same no matter what curry you order. All round 5 stars from me! 23.01.2021 - Update on a recent takeaway I was surprised to see the quality of food was poor on my recent order, I'm not sure whether the chef has changed but it's no-where near the quality I've experience previously. The chicken was very, very dry in the Rogan Josh, the prawns in the Prawn Korai were none existent and the Korma was extremely runny and thin. Again something may have changed, food supplier, chef etc. But when you spend nearly £50 on a family takeaway, I expect the food to be of a certain quality as it was every other time I've used The Curry Pot.

I was wondering where to go for a decent take away curry and was reminded by a work colleague that this place existed! Oh my goodness, the foods gorgeous and the madras is just right! (my go to curry) none of the food has oil or grease, lovely customer service as well download their app and find out for yourself!😊

Great food from here as usual, they don't have an alcohol license but you can bring your own. The only problem i have is the carpet is really, really dirty, and looks like its from the 70's. Come on guys get yer finger out and replace it! 3 stars only due to the carpet being a health hazard. you'll get 5 if you replace it.

Ate here recently on a Sunday, early evening. There are a number of really good Indian places in Atherton, so The Curry Pot needs to compete. I would have given them a 4-star review bar one thing, which I will cover at the end. In terms of food, they are not licensed, so they serve soft drinks only, however they don't inflate the price of those drinks and you can bring your own alcohol if you like. The menu is relatively compact (not a bad thing!) and the staff who showed us to our table and took our orders were very pleasant. The food itself was plentiful, probably some of the biggest portions of anywhere I have tried in the area, all very well presented and nice and hot. All told, I would rate the taste of what we had as a solid 4-star, it wasn't the best curry taste wise (all of the gravy/sauces were slightly under-seasoned for my taste), however the quality of the meat was good in each dish, side dishes like rice, naan and chapati were all good. The main problem came as we finished. There were lots of left overs so I decided to take some home as I have done in many other places. The server was very pleasant and even brought trays to the table, asked if I wanted my rice and curry separate (I did), wrapped it all up in a bag for me and then cleared the table. Very nice we thought. Until the bill came and they had put a 50p surcharge per foil container on it! I know £1 extra really isn't much, but its more of a principle thing. I questioned whether they thought it wasn't a bit unusual (I think I used the word cheeky) and got the reply "well they aren't free you know" sarcastically back. I know they aren't free... but nowhere else explicitly charges for them, you give them away free to your take-away customers who probably spend on average half what we did as table customers and, much more importantly, at no point was I told I would be charged to take my food home! It was a shame as it was a small point at the end of a good meal but customer service is an important part and I walked out feeling slightly cheated. To repeat at the end though so the point doesn't get lost, the food and (most) of the service were very good.

Chicken isn't tender at all. Service ok, but they need to learn that the chicken must be tender and soft. There no better even now there a takeaway only. Sad really .
