The Dutch Fish Men is a Double Decker Bus parked opposite the G Casin on Bury New Road in Manchester. Serving eat in or takeaway food. A wide range on the menu mainly dealing with Fish meals but they also do a range of Burger meals as well. On the Sunday afternoon I visited there was a steady queue of people eating in and taking away. I ordered the Double Chicken burger and Cheesy Chips at £7.80. The waiting time was 40mins but on this day the line just got longer and longer. The food came piping hot when it was ready. Tasted nice, Burger had wchicken breast, hot sauce and a bit of salad. Chips came with 2 dips, chilli and garlic and a bottle of water. The venue was clean and tidy and the staff were well presented and offered a good service. I would eat here again. Visited the truck parked outside British Muslim Heritage Centre. £5 for a fish burger meal is great value. Chips are chippy chips and come with a sweet/slightly spicy tomato sauce and tartar sauce which are both great. The burger also had a very nice fresh piece of fish, definitely a step up from McDonald’s Fillet o’Fish

Average fish and chips, price not to high. Fish batter could be better. Chips good and fish tastes fresh. I'd spend a little more and go to a better fish and chip shop. If you're just after quick food then service is fast and presentation is good. Worth a try if you're shopping locally and hungry.

We have since travelled from Bolton a few times to get our fix of this delicious food. Fantastic service from very friendly staff too. Delicious! Filling! I had the mixed beef/chicken burger with chunky chips & a can of drink for £6.50. Not being sure if it would be enough (As I generally only eat once a day) I also bought the cod for £3.50. I JUST about finished the burger & chips! They were gracious enough to package the fish & the few chips left, so I took them home to refrigerate & eat later. They've opened a fixed shop in Chorlton, South Central Manchester & both are well worth a visit. **!!A WORD OF WARNING!!** Make sure you have an empty belly before tackling their burgers. Unless you're a professional eater, you won't beat the burger! I could barely get my mouth around the thing, but it more than worth my messy attempts! 😁

Unique food and experience. Their 'house sauce', should be bottled and sold in supermarkets. It's amazing and again a unique flavour! Like mildly spicy nutty chilli sauce. Staff are really friendly and kid friendly on the bus too!

This review is for the small truck at Cheetham Hill Fort retail park opposite Nike store. NOT the Double Decker Bus place’ OMG! Amazing fish bites. Supposed to eat them at home, lasted just before exiting Carpark. Love the menu, this is my first time, definitely not my last. The young lady was very polite and sweet. I live near Mcr Airport and very happy to go all that way for their food. Cannot wait until my next visit. Already told 10 people!!😂🙏

I ordered the Fish Burger meal and found the bread to detract the wonderful individual components: the deep fried fish, sweet onions, lettuce and flavourful sauce are indulgent, very unique. I've been coming here for a few years now, normally a flying visit as passing grabbing some cod pieces... Today I took a friend to the bus restaurant and my he was not disappointed! I’m at a loss to understand what this place is about. I was looking for a regular traditional fish supper. They didn’t have vinegar and the ‘salt’ they added was some kind of spicy peri salt. Maybe this is a ‘thing’ that I’m just not aware of cos certainly lots of people seem to love the place, but an olde fish and chip shop this is not. The fish and chips themselves were good! But from then on things got weird.

Mouthwatering the most fresh fish and chips I’ve come across. Fish and chips is a massive food options when considered in Britain and I have tried a lot of chippys however this fish and chips joint set-up in a double decker bus with its own parking allows foodies to either sit outside and enjoy the meal or enjoy the meal on the very comfortable seats they have on the upper deck. I was introduced to this place by friends and they don’t have a huge range of options but that is good because it means everything is freshly made. The portions are a very good size and normal at chippys the crust hold a tiny amount of fish inside which can be disappointing but the size of the fish was big and the fries were topped with chilli powder (optional) with a selection of sauces. We ordered three of the same options and they were all alike and the consistency of the taste and presentation was pleasing. I would definitely go back for a cheeky fish and chips.

It was ok. I had fish and chips which was £5.50, which i thought was a little steep. The chips were a bit like McCain straight cut oven chips with "red salt". Like another person said there doesn't seam to be any vinegar. I asked and they said they'd put salt and vinegar on already but there definitely wasnt any vinegar on. Overall it was tastey but not worth £5.50. If your looking for traditional fish and chips look elsewhere. Also I'm not sure where the name "Dutch Fisherman" comes from.... i didn't see a Dutchman anywhere! :-)
