W. W.Had Xmas dinner there this year and although it wa too early for me really to have lunch it was very nice. The service was good, the staff were very pleasant and the food came out hot, prompt and tasted good. What more can you ask for on Xmas day. Oh yeah and the price was just great. They didn't do what other places have done and doubled their price because they were shut last year. So well done to all the staff and thank you for a great dinner.

T. B.We attended the restaurant at beginning of April 2022 with my granddaughter as we had visited numerous times previous to Covid lockdowns with no issues. However on this occasion we were totally disappointed as firstly the toy machines were both out of order because 'the suppliers hadn't re-stocked them' which we thought was a pathetic excuse. Also we ordered a starter of Nachos at 5.30 and were told there wasn't any and throughout the meal there were instances of items advertisement that weren't put on the plates. Altogether a poor experience that meant that we won't be returning
L.As we didn't know the area we chose this place as it seemed convenient and very reasonably priced. The man serving at the bar was very good and friendly and could handle how busy it was getting. The place is very dated and could do with a refurb but the food was nice.
Unfortunately one of the waiting staff had the loudest mouth and was talking to a group at another table and it just became ridiculous, he was very unprofessional and my other half wanted to leave but as the table were leaving I convinced him to stay for dessert. The waitress was nice but when she dropped a fork with her hands full she kicked it all the way to the kitchen rather than coming back and picking it up.
If you want a nice meal and don't mind this kind of environment then I would recommend but this isn't the place I would return to.

c. d.Can I just say before I get to the negatives the food was great tasty and nothing wrong with the kitchen and food that came out of it….. the problem I had was the bar and serving staff now one of them were lovely the worked so hard service 6+ tables on her own running to and from the kitchen like a headless chicken young girl with short brown hair tied up, the other 3 staff were on their phones down the side of the bar talking and doing nothing, then the older woman bar staff with short dark hair completely ignored our table and cleared a table she couldn’t even see in the back corner who finished 15-20 mins after us and then walked past our table not even acknowledging us at all. My children started getting restless and they wanted their ice-cream. We arrived at 3:10pm ended up leaving at 5:45 and we only came for food and had a couple drinks. Not acceptable letting that young girl do all the running while the other girls just stood about on their phones, as someone who has managed a bar and restaurant meant to work together for efficiency was tempted to help her out myself other than that everything was pleasant and great environment to be in

Unfortunately the bar had no orange juice so our favourite drink couldn't be made and also 3 meals we chose were off the menu
L. W.This place is really nice, it is comfortable and friendly. There was a notice that there was a 30 minute wait for food as it was busy and that is exactly how long we waited. If you have children best take some cash as they have little toy machine that you know you are gonna get asked for no less than 3769 times.
The food was good, the puddings were ok. The only downside I found here was the female toilets. The cubicles are tiny. I really think they were designed by someone with more flexibility than me because it was almost impossible to fold myself around the door in order to close it.
Update. We have been coming here for around 3 years. Never had an issue until our visit recently. We ordered starters with dips and they brought the wrong dips (allergen no no) we had to ask for some of the dips as they had forgotten. Ordered blue steak, which the chef who was at the bar at the time of ordering said "I prefer doing it blue rather than well done" yeah we got well done steak. Steak sauce arrived a lot later after the dish. Gammon was tough,dry and mega salty, sausages were burnt. Mushrooms were old. A massive let down from what we have had in the past. An old favourite has been scrapped off the list. Very sad.

C. O.The haddon hall served gorgeous food of all countries with a nice cold beer to finish it off plus its a nice night out with friends where there is no trouble but polite people.
The staff were all so polite the food came prompt no long waiting and the food is all cooked fresh ad you order it. I always choose this venue for a party cause it really is the venue to go to.

Food arrived quickly and plates were promptly cleared. Only negative was that our table hadn't been cleaned when we sat down. Staff seemed very proactive though so I can only assume the last group had only recently left.

M. R.The Haddon Hall is part of the Sizzling pubs chain that have a very good and varied menu to choose from. This pub has definitely got a lot better over the past couple of years. Especially when you use the Sizzling pubs app on your phone to book a table in advance as they do get very busy at times.
The food is very tasty and great value for money. You can get a burger meal with chips and a soft drink for around £8.50. If you add £1 you can get a beer or wine instead. They do a great range of sizzling skillets along with tradition pub favourites like fish & chips.
The pub is very family friendly and the staff keep it clean and tidy.
D.The Haddon Hall expressed vibrancy with it's wonderful decorating and even better food and drink. The Sizzling chain gives a good menu and for a low cost, making it just the perfect pub. The staff are always happy and ready to help you.
With the outside dining, there is a great parking lot which has enough space to hold a lot of people. It is easy to get in and get out, making it a well reccomended pub. I advise you come here.
A. h.It's been a little while since we have been to this great pub. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the menu is great the steamed are always cooked just as we ask . If you are not very hungry them where the the dish ( sorry can't remember the name) that gives you 4 or 5 little wraps a choice of chicken or steak and several dips /sisea. Great if you have had a few beers and want more than just crisps.
As for the person that complained there was good on the floor, at 9pm in a pub that serves all day what do you expect? How would you feel if a member of staff asked you to pick your feet/bags up while they vacuumed / swept under your table !
I like the fact that you welcome kids but keep a area child free too .
If I had to pick one problem area , one of the ladies loos is TINY ! It would be better to change the toilet to a little girls ( so smaller) and let this be for children. However this is been very picky , don't change what you do 😀🍺

M. B.I am a local and a fairly regular visitor to the Haddon Hall but I wanted to publish a quick review since the re-opening of pubs due to Covid-19.
I'd been holding off going into pubs for a short while to guage reaction and to let pubs test out their various action plans for re-opening and having 'popped in' yesterday, I have to say how very well organised the Haddon is in respect of being as Coronavirus safe as possible. 10/10!
Name & contact details are taken at the door for track 'n' trace purposes; hand sanitisers available at the door with clear instruction to use them on entering as well as re-entering should you pop out, as well as very clear instructions of where to stand at the bar etc. I also found that the reduced number of tables that were well spaced out made me feel safe on this visit too, with an excellent & clear table booking system.
Other pubs could learn a lot from the Haddon and that's credit to the Manager and staff. Well done!

k.Go here fairly often as it's value for money quick service unless packed then as expected slower, was in a bit of a rush today 4 meals 3 were really nice as expected but the 4th was a rib eye steak just wasn't upto rib eye standard and judging by the taste I wouldn't say it was off cos it wasn't but what I would say is it was closer to going than it was fresh and the mushroom tasted a bit like cleaning fluid which seemed a bit strange.. Not downgrading my stars as its never normally like this.. Has kind of put me off getting another rib eye though the other steak which wasn't rib eye was perfect though so we're the other 2 meals

S. T.Enjoyed lots of food at the haddon but on some meal the portion you receive is a bit skimpy ie:- my son 26yrs ordered fish +chips when it came we thought they had brought a child's portion. They need to give value for money that wood increase footfall in the pub and restaurant. Also land lady needs to practice a smile in the mirror before she meets her clientele at the bar we pay your wages hun. Could be a fantastic venue with a bit more imagination and a clean cloth.

m. n.Hi great place excellent food definitely be coming again was bit hard for my daughter she is a vegan I know u have vegan options which fab but she couldnt have a starter or a dessert even the tomato soup said it contains milk it was a struggle she got something think she had chips salad in the end being a vegan she carnt eat milk eggs wheat butter chocolate so even the vegan options when I looked have some of these in I wanted her too have a proper meal with us so i felt sorry for her was a bit sad that certain things that she could have eaten like tomato soup she couldn't it has milk in it even one of the meals for the vegan/veg says it got milk in the gravy ? we will be coming again but it might be difficult the vegan meals if milk needed should be soya etc but I have recommended you too lots of ppl because everything else is brilliant we all loved our meals and so did my daughter even if it was only salad and chips and I know it's hard too cater for vegans I've been vegetarian my self for 30 yrs and that is easy at your place once again thank you for trying too cater for vegans it's refreshing seeing it on a menu that's not massively expensive just maybe starters or even desserts suitable for vegans even just one I would tell anyone too go here food is amazing when u have a vegan eating with you that's a bigger issue than tables not being cleared or not getting served straight away staff were great
