Absolutely fantastic. We had fish chips and peas with curry sauce and it was all excellent. Special mention has to be made for the home made tartar sauce. Such a pleasure to have fresh tartar sauce instead of the spooned out of a bottle. Apparently the current owners only been here for 3 months. I have no doubt they will be a success. Cone on Middletinians enjoy this great traditional chippy.

We traveled 1h 30m to try this chippy as the hype was high and it more than lives up to it. The food is amazing and very tasty. The staff are lovely. And the price is more than fair. Would give more stars if I could.

We've started going to this chippy for the last few weeks and the chips have been lovely. Unfortunately tonight the portions have been rather small. We didn't realise until we got home. Usually the large portions are piled up, and we can have seconds for our tea. Not tonight. Very disappointed. Thank you. We have since been back and the portion sizes have been decent and the chips lovely. Definitely will be calling again.

Excellent fish and chips. Fish was in thin batter and the chips crunchy outside and fluffy inside. All nice and hot. Under new ownership and you can tell the difference. I will be back. I've been back. No change, fish excellent and cooked fresh while you wait. Chips perfect. Its a real pleasure to come here. Mod cod, and its team need to be really proud of what they produce. Best bar none around Middleton. My favourite chip shop. Went today and thought I'd try something different. Bap covered in freshly cooked chips with fish and English curry sauce. Awesome is the only word to describe the meal I had. I've never been dissapointed about what Wright's mod cod delivers. Top notch and all freshly cooked as you wait. Guess what. I'll be back.

My food was really good again tonight. Was served by the dark haired girl with the piercing. Order was spot on, she got the order together in no time and feeding 5 it was a bit of everything. It was all well wrapped with everything how I'd asked for it and she was friendly. I have a cafe and know how hard it can be to get it all right when you are busy but she was brilliant.🍽

First visit to this chippy. Everything was freshly cooked and piping hot. The chips were slightly undercooked for my taste hence the 4 stars but otherwise it was good.

Only used once when working in area. There were 2 lovely ladies serving and a very pleasant atmosphere. Food was the best I've had and I even spotted them using a thermometer in the fish. Very professional and a well deserved 5star review.

This was my favourite chippy, but recently (on the past 3 occasions, at lunchtime) the chips have been cold - this was eating them immediately in my car. Also, the preparation of the chips has slipped - lots of eyes and skin on them. I can see where those TV chefs are coming from when they bang on about consistency - the last meal served should always be as good as the first. If the chips have gone cold they shouldn't be sold - basic stuff for a good chippy! Is it really worth losing customers for the sake of not frying up some fresh, piping hot chips?

Great little traditional chippy. The been here c couple of times over the past few months and the food has always been spot on and fresh. The portions are good and the price is worth what you get. I can say that once you have tried the quality you will return. The wait times can be around 15 mins when busy but it's worth it.
