Reviews of TOKYO RAMEN
B. L.
I have wanted a ramen bowl outside of Japan and Australia that packs a punch in terms of flavour and texture. Tokyo Ramen definitely delivers on both fronts!
I ordered a Koji Fried Chicken to start — the ssamjang and sweet corn mayo dressing was a little too intense (I like my fried chicken usually with a soy/garlic sauce/marinade or a dipping mayo at the most, but this still was succulent and cooked really well. Next time I’d ask to have the sauces served separately.
Two ramens were on the mains this time — classic Shoyu and Tantan. The former was fantastic and packed tonnes of umami — the torched pork belly was probably the best I’ve had outside of local chains in Osaka and Tokyo; fat rendered, crisp and actually full of flavour; not just boiled and sliced.
I usually don’t order Tantan ramen — I mostly stick to Miso, Shio and Shoyu but thought I’d give it a go. The spicy tare was too overwhelming and I felt it lost all the broth’s flavour. The fried chicken on top was a lot nicer (as it was plain) than the starter, but that’s just my preference.
On each both, the noodles tasted different; the Shoyu had somewhat raw/starchy cooling whereas the Tantan had perfect hard noodle texture, I like my ramen harder than most people I know but wished the cooking was more consistent.
A point of feedback would be to ask customers how hard they want their noodles, but otherwise I will be coming back!!

I got the vegetarian ramen, really nice! I'm a big mushroom fan so it was perfect for me. The service is fast and friendly, some great drink option ans can imagine there's a great atmosphere in the evening. I went midday ish and the music was a tad loud for me personally. But the food was great and I would go again.

Stumbled to this place by chance! Best ramen in Manchester, you can really tell everything is authentic and home-made. Noodles were freshly made, as well as the broth. Both delicious!
Janven (Bebe) provided some quality service, will be coming back again!
R. M.
Delicious. Filling. Great Service (handled well in busy periods) and they take the time to teach you how to use chop sticks in a very clever way.
K. T.
The best part of the shoryu ramen is the just-right texture of the noodles. Also, you can feel the complexity of the broth. Definitely worth it.
R. H.
We ordered shoyu and spicy ramen. Doesn’t taste like Japanese ramen at all and didn’t get the point for putting kale in the Japanese ramen tho 😅 overall is ok.
S.
Best bowl of ramen I've ever had from a restaurant! The service was incredible and I will definitely be coming back :)
Wish there a little was something extra on the vegetarian offering though. Maybe some tofu or pickled veg?
R. S.
Stumbled upon this place on TIK TOK (I know) and glad I did the service and food was great I struggled a little using the chop sticks but that's on me. The location is good to quite central to the city centre.

Bliss Best ramen I've had at any restaurant by far, great atmosphere and service. Thank you you have changed my life.
G. W.
I really like their broth. I can smell their broth everytime I passed. Everything is so spot on.
B. j.
We absolutely loved this place. The miso mushroom ramen was made vegan for myself, and was top notch when coupled with a peach hi-ball. Service was superb, very chatty and a sound guy. Can't wait to go back
J. I.
Best Ramen in Manchester, easily. The Tantan ramen is insanely tasty, the broth, the egg, the chicken, all of it, amazing. I come here monthly, the owner is the nicest guy, great price, cool atmosphere and in a great spot in the Northern Quarter. Cannot recommend enough!
O. J.
5+* for the pork belly, best pork belly ever found so far
3 portion, still reels abit.hungry for 12 quid. not worth. 10 would be better
2.5 for the noodles itself, noodles are all broken and short? texture is fine but this makes the ramen not fun to eat.
4.8 for the looks
2.5 for the soup, taste isnt natural or rich enough. not hot enough
3 for the egg, taste isnt embedded inside it
4 for the environment, music too loud
i dont like it but i think brits will like it alot

Best ramens I've ever had it's like something otherworldly, been a regular over the past 6 months. Coming from west coastal Canada were we are very spoilt for Japanese food I thought I'd never find anywhere that compares to the dplaces I missed backhome but now going 1back I will never be able to replace the brilliant and unique ramens served at Tokyo ramen, you can tell that they created the limited menu because they would not compromise on the quality of ingredients and they use diffhouse made noodles to go best with each broth. My favorite was the kinoko not just at this restaurant but it is literally the favourite ramen jve had in my life. The server is class a remembered us every time we went had great recommendations and has a great trick for if you can't use chopsticks and he clearly really values all the regulars.

Beautiful food ! Tasty food and well layed out for a small venue was pleasantly surprised and will visit again. The service could have been a bit more personal but I put that down to them encouraging customers to order through the app by scanning the QR code on the table ... Which I cannot fault them for atall.

Best Ramen I've had outside of Japan. Very small menu with only 1 veggie/vegan option... But it was delicious so who needs choice!
It's a bit pricey... But when you see the presentation and the flavour they get in to the food, you'll see its worth it.
Can't wait to go back.

Ramen, care & atmosphere.
This is the best spot I've found to enjoy ramen in all of Manchester.
There's professionalism & care put into every bowl.
The chefs & staff make the whole experience better. They love what they do, and you can tell with each bite.
Small menu; but that has just allowed the chefs to focus on "getting it right".
Authentic & hearty Asian food at its best!
V. L.
Food was super good and tasty. There's no much food option but they are all good options.
I feel it would be a lot better if you could mix and match, as there's only one vegetarian option. It would be ideal if you could choose the base broth, the sauce, and the main topping separately.
Having one use chopsticks is no good either!
The staff were super friendly and accommodating. I will definitely go back again.
S. M.
Authentic Japanese Ramen in Manchester, must try
L. T.
Genuinely some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. I can't believe us English are just stuck with just KFC ;(. The ramen was incredible as well. Staff are friendly.

Food - 5/5
Ambiance - 3/5
Accessibility - 2/5
Cost - 4/5
Service - 5/5
Summary - 4/5
This is a small venue (possibly has a cover for 30 people max) that is very simple/basic in decor, but speaks volume when it comes to their food! Open seating areas on two levels where you're encouraged to squeeze in and share a table, with an open kitchen (it's fun watching them prepare the food) and a very small menu. What they lack in diversity/quantity of choices, they certainly make up for quality. I'm no ramen expert but their broth certainly is rich and flavourful. The spicier option (tantanmen - koji fried chicken) also packs a bit of a kick (it wasn't too spicy for me, but I was surprised by it). I had the pork belly ramen (shoyu) which was really good; the sous vide egg was perfect with a nice sweet yolk. I do wish it had a bit more ingredients like straw mushrooms or naruto added rather than just pork, egg, seaweed and chopped up pickled vegetables. I also tried the crispy octopus (octopus karaage) with chickpea miso puree which was really good (although a tad too salty for my palate) and beautifully plated. I'm not sure if the venue is wheelchair friendly (the top dining area certainly isn't as there are stairs) and I don't think there's enough space on the ground level. Tip: there is free water provided at the table just above the stairs (you'll have to help yourself) and as ramen dishes are big in volume, you can skip on ordering drinks. Service was good, staff were friendly and dishes came out relatively fast.
C. B.
Very tasty! And easy menu, there's like 8 dishes and then choose your protein.
Perfect!

Coming from italy, tokyoRamen have the Best ramen of my life. Happy to have my first Manchester dinner here. Nice food, broth with amazing taste, fast service. Fried chicken good as the soup. Hope to be there one more time.
E. 1.
Ramen was super delicious and their staff Janven was a great person he was very accommodating when my party of 11 arrived. 10/10 would come again.
Y. H. C.
Manchester doesn't have a lot of ramen places but Tokyo Ramen takes the cake. The broth is thick but really tasty and the pork belly is to die for. Side dishes such as the octopus are good but a tad bit too pricey for the portion. The staff and kitchen crew are really friendly too!
B. A.
One of our favourite places to eat in Manchester, a small menu but you know that means great food. Friendly service and authentic food.

Tokyo Ramen In Manchester !
Ramen , what more in life can you ask for on a rainy Manchester day ? Noodles, soup, and an amazing garnish.
I am a big fan of ramen I mean I have a got a tattoo of a ramen on my arm after all
So today’s destination is Tokyo Ramen, after discovering them on twitter (another place retweeted them in my timeline) they quickly made it to my priority list of new place to start
We went on a thursday for lunch, arrived get greeted by one of the staff (very friendly man), wide open kitchen catch my eyes, the lovely staff show us our seats and handover the menu, quick glance around, it is a cosy place but my eyes and nose wonders back to the kitchen, the smells ! AMAZING !!! 2019 why haven’t we invented scratch and sniff you’d love it
So the menu, small menu, it’s about quality not quantity, they make 200 Litres of the ramen stock (chicken broth) per day and that is it. Offer you 3 ramens, 4 small plates and the drinks at the bottom
My friend went for the torched pork belly ramen ( Shoyu) £11.75, I chose the Koji fried chicken (Tantanmen) £11. 75 after I ask the waiter what koji is ( from what i understand it is a fungus that is used in fermenting soybeans )
The food arrived quickly and it look scrumptious, we dig in after I asked for a fork (yeah I know how uncivilized of us), the flavours are well balanced, the chicken broth is delightful and the noodles are astonishing! The koji chicken was so crisp yet super tender.
No talking just eating, am I in heaven ? not sure but by the time I have finished I am in food coma, belly full, inside warm, happy me.
Tokyo Ramen will be one of my favorite place for 2019 can’t wait to go back
Thank you for the experience
J. O.
The ramen here was great! We got the shoyu ramen and the tantan ramen (pictured). The noodles were nice and the broth was very tasty! I’m not a huge fan of really spicy food but the level of heat in the broth was just right! Enough to tingle and burn but not so much that it overpowered the taste. Not an easy balance to strike, well done!
J.
Great place to have a good Japanese dinner. You can come in groups of 2-8 people and they'd still be able to put tables together for you. Prices are reasonable for ramen. Great selection of drinks as well - try Calpis!
S. M.
The shop is small but pretty cool and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Personally in my humble opinion there is much to be had elsewhere in Manchester, having said that Ramen is a very personal dish so people might find the slightly lighter Tokyo broth more appealing.
G.
The venue is only small but the ramen is mighty! Best ramen in Manchester. Be prepared to queue when it's busy, but the wait will be worth it. The menu is simple - four ramen and two side dishes when I visited - one of the ramen choices was vegetarian (the excellent mushroom-based Kinoko).
G. O.
Not bad but there are issues. First the good: The fried chicken was the best dish we had there. It reminded me of karaage, crunchy and enjoyable. The chicken was served with some delicious sauces.
Now for the ramen: the broth was nice and partially thick the way it should be, and the noodles were decent enough. The portion of broth was far too small, barely getting to halfway in the bowl. It came to the table looking half finished. The tamago egg texture was good, being gooey in the middle but it was under seasoned. The charred pork on top was also under seasoned and you could mostly only taste char.
Normally i would probably overlook some of these issues if it wasn't for the price. The ramen is priced at nearly £12, which i don't mind, but at that price it has to be better.
The fried chicken is £7 which is a little on the high side considering the portion as well.
Drinks are quite high price too with a coke being £3.75 and a small beer being £4.50
Overall its a shame because i had been following Tokyo ramen since it was announced and was very much looking forward to it. They could sort these issues out and it would be a good place, otherwise theres more competition every day. It would be a shame to see this place struggle.
p. v.
Its a very hip little place on Church Street, near Afflecks, Manchester. I had the Tantan Ramen which was great and full of flavour! The best part, it wad topped with fried chicken. A perfect meal to have on a very cold day. The service was great, Javen the server was very helpful and always smiling 😊
N. K.
Great good and vibes, the staff really care about making you visit memorable, recommend the TanTan Ramen.
C. A.
Lovely selection of ramen and japanese drinks
S. T.
Tried it on the opening day today as I was really unhappy with the current ramen offerings in Manchester.
Tantanmen is one of my favourite types of ramen and this one definitely didn't disappoint. The soup although a bit too thick, was full of flavour and spicy. The egg was cooked perfectly and the pieces of chicken were really tender. However the quality of the noodles can be improved on a little bit.
My friend tried the Miso ramen and thought it was tasty. No further comments from her.
Overall I'm really happy that there is a new place for ramen in the city and I will definitely be returning for more!
W. F.
Fantastic customer service and food. I love their innovation and alterations to their ramen dish, even though the ramen and food isn't traditionally Japanese. I recommend trying their fried chicken.
N. R.
Fantastic ramen place, just what Manchester needed. Only a small menu with 3 ramen dishes on it and some sides, that's all you need though. Will 100% be visiting again. Broth very tasty and great noodles.
C. M.
You have to appreciate the pared down menu. It promises a focus on the dishes and rapid service so that you can on your way to slurping umami heaven.
The broth has delicious mouth feel and for those that can’t have pork tonkotsu, is a viable alternative as it’s chicken based.
Naturally, you’ll want to know if it’s better than Shoryu, but that’s comparing two totally different offerings that are each delectable in their own way. Both are infinitely better than the offerings available in Wagamama or even, dare I say it, Tampopo. Though on balance, neither pitches themselves as a 100% authentic ramen experience.
J. G.
Enjoyable experience, nice simple however short menu, tasty ramen (shoyru). Will be going back to taste the rest.
C. B.
after the wonderful match in the football stadium in winter, this can help you warm up- shoyu ramen was great but the fried chiken was fantastic, inner soft and hot but outer very much crispy!
L. L.
Nice broth but the tantanmen has a special scent of spice... wish they have tonkotsu ramen one day, also the noodles are a bit too firm for me... could be better if there’s a option of firmness in the menu so that people don’t forget to mention it
M. O.
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Wonderful, friendly staff. The food was excellent. We went for lunch and the food was so delicious we returned again for dinner. Can’t recommend this place enough. One of the best meals we have eaten. Certainly will be returning.
S. C.
They use chicken bone broth so the broth is lighter than what I was expecting. I don't think it's a traditional style but it's a good meal.
L. T.
We ordered the octopus and it was sooooo tasty. The ramen was amazing too, we had the tantanramen and shoryu- the broth... 😍😍😍
J. S.
This was an accidental find when I was walking home from work. We tried it out a few nights later and fell in love. The food is absolutely incredible, the atmosphere is chill, and the staff honestly love their job. We definitely will be back ... and often.
N. M.
Really good Ramen well recommended.
H. R.
WOW one of the best vegan ramens I've ever had. An amazing rich mushroom broth with loads of flavour! Quick service, friendly staff, banging tunes. Reusable chopsticks would be nice for future maybe, that's it. Recommend.
R. B.
Great food and service was really good. Ramen was really good and place is small so I suggest going early or expect a wait.
B. J.
I had an amasing unch. Fantastically efficient service that was un phased by anything. We where apologetically sat at the kitchen bar (in my opinion the best seats as you can see how things are done) I will be back.
A.
Amazing customer service and very tasty food. It was quite a small menu but they always say keep a menu small so that you can always deliver good food. Service was very quick too. 10/10 would recommend and would visit again.
S. R.
Great service, great ramen - the one with crispy chicken was amazing! Thanks guys ♥️

Awesome place we visited during our first wedding anniversary. The staff where great and the food was top notch. Do not give them a miss.

Decided to have a take away with the Mrs and we were blown away with the quality and rich flavours. the staff is very chill but attentive and caring, the food is amazing and the prices are very reasonable.
If you love ramen you need to try this place out.
C. R.
Amazing ramen, from the rich broth to the amazing toppings. Staff handed over the food with care, they were very friendly and we didn't have to wait long for the food. Would recommend for both price and quality.
D. T.
For me, who often go to Japan, the food quality is just passable, but for living in the UK, the food quality is good...
M. D.
If you are looking for a ramen place in Manchester, this is a MUST. I'm yet to try the other dishes from the menu but I had the Shoyu ramen myself. Absolutely delicious. You can tell they make authentic broth, noodles are spongy and everything else is just on point.
a. e.
Lovely restaurant has great ramen, very well priced, lovely atmosphere
J. N.
Lovely little place. Got seated straight away. Service was fast and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Waiting staff were charming and personable. Thoroughly recommend!
M. L.
Kinoko ramen (veggie option) was incredible. The miso-mustard tare was a really unique and punchy flavour. The toppings were perfect for a mushroom lover: crispy enoki, pickled shiitake, and white shimeji mushrooms.
The noodles were a great texture, my only complaint was that the portion was a bit small, so I ordered extra noodles.
Waiter was really friendly, on-the-ball, and chatty. Will definitely come back!
H. R.
The menu is very short. Like, 4 types of ramen, 2 sides, and 4 drinks.
And that's how it should be. Every bowl of ramen is superb! I like the Tantan (fried chicken) bowl and the Kinoko (mushroom) bowl the most.
The fried chicken side is super lovely, but I've not tried the gyoza or any drinks. They do do old-school Ramune (fizzy drink that has a glass ball as a stopper) as part of the drinks selection if you're a fan of cheesy 90s Japan. Everyone in the vicinity is shaken by how loud it is when it opens!
There's one guy in a cap who has served me every time I've been with my friend. He really seems to know what he's doing: he's quick, kind, and efficient. Considering he's the only one serving a constantly-cycling full restaurant on a Saturday, he must be a god. Safe to say he works hard and deserves recognition: he's doing an absolutely superb job.
The only downsides to Tokyo Ramen are the seating and the music. I'm tall with back pain, and I am hunched like a little roach over my ramen (much akin to cheesy 90s Japan). The music is so loud that I can't hear my friend (whose second language is English) who's talking in front of me. We're shouting at each other a lot. That's frustrating.
But, the food and the service is so good that I must come back. And I will continue to do so.
l. p.
Absolutely incredible food would recommend to anyone after an authentic ramen.
Service is top notch as well, janven is an absolute legend and makes you feel very at home during your time there.
Would 100% recommend!
T. W.
AMAZING. great broth. these guys know what they are doing. gyoza were fine. thats literally the only part of the meal where i wish we had ordered more fried chicken and less gyoza. not really a bad item just the chicken was 10x better.
B. P. B.
The ramen excellent, great costumer service and very quick 👌👌
L. Y.
Lovely place. Small menu, great quality!
J. B.
Best ramen I've ever had, no cap
C. S.
Not much choice of ramen, but the options they do have are delicious.
People are friendly + the environment is chill.
S. P.
Amazing food, I just wish there were more veggie options!
M.
Kinoko ramen was rich, moreish and satisfying
V. D. L. M.
3 mates running a restaurant, really friendly, simple menu and amazing tasty food
S. S. D. (.
Not many options where to choose from (just 4 types of ramen), but the food was really good. So 5 stars.
L. R.
First time at Tokyo Ramen yesterday, small food menu but it was cooked to perfection. We had the beef to start and then the fried chicken Ramen. The man who served recommended both and it very much delivered. Great service. Fun place. We will be back.
A. P.
If ramen in Japan is half as good as in Tokyo Ramen, then it's worth the visit! Absolutly amazing food, nice armosphere and solo-dining friendly :)
O. W. (.
Second time going, incredible as with the last time. Great food, service and at a good price too.
M. R.
A nice venue and small menu, but wasn't really impressed by the ramen. Didn't have much depth of flavour, and the meat was rather plain. We had the pork belly and the chicken and both dishes tasted quite bland unfortunately.
O. R.
Excellent ramen for a reasonable price. It’s rare I eat ramen outside of Japan but I’ll be returning here for sure.
J. L.
Very, very good ramen. I can't imagine it gets better in Manchester. Unpretentious, high quality, service with a smile and quick; I'm sad I live in London and won't be back any time soon - it's as good as any of the offerings there.
Definite recommend.
Y. D. M.
Had a great time here. Very cosy place. Fantastic ramen and karaage.
J. M.
This little restaurant is one amongst the most delicious paces I've been to for a Japanese meal in Manchester.
Me and my partner both chose the same Ramen called Tantanmen with a can of Asahi and a Cocktail for myself, the services was great and we didn't have to wait a long time for our Meals and Drinks.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back again.
R. M.
Best ramen I’ve ever had, without exception. Service was really friendly and efficient, simply couldn’t fault the whole experience. Prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes too. Could have happily ordered the entire menu if I could have fit it in. Will definitely be back, thanks!
a. a.
The food and service are great. Highly recommended.
B.
Great ramen. Staff are great, really friendly.
S. H.
All the ramen is made with chicken broth, which is less salty than pork broth. So if you want traditional, salty pork broth, this won't be the place for you.
The shoyu ramen was good - my favorite part was how soft the pork belly was! It practically melted in your mouth.
I liked that they served us coke in a frozen glass.
Cons: I feel like the small portion size doesn't reflect the £11 price, and I would like more toppings in my ramen.
A glass of coke was almost £3.
It won't make me stop going to Wasabi for ramen, but I'd like to visit this place again.
S. H.
It's ok but a bit pricey for ramen. The curry ramen I had was ok but needed more meat or seafood. The soft shell crab was nice but there needed to be a few more bit of seafood in there or even some meat. The pickled ginger in the dish was a bit odd and doesnt go with the curry ramen taste. The marinated boiled was really nice though and suprised me in a good way. The signature shoryu ramen was nice and probably the best dish. The menu was limited and needed more variety though. The service was good and friendly.
S. C.
On the whole the food was good... I had the Octopus Karaage, the flavours were amazing, but I felt it was slightly overcooked... for £8 it was reasonably priced, as you could see the time spent on execution and presentation. I then had the Shoryu Ramen... the pork tasted great, but 3 measly slices left me a little underwhelmed. Also I felt the broth could have had more seasoning. For me £12 for a bowl of soup noodles and 3 small slices of pork is a bit overpriced in my opinion.
R. G.
My husband and I walk past every evening on our way to the car and the smell is incredible.
We were celebrating my husband's new job so decided to pop in. Generous portions, fantastic tasting food and great service.
Only 4 stars as there is only one option for beer and it's £4 For a 330ml can so we basically paid £16 on two pints.
J. S.
Went here after reccomendation from a friend. Unfortunately it didn't live up to expectation. I eat meat but my partner is veggie. Only one option for veggies, it's a bit limited. Our meal was nice, although wasnt much ramen for a veggie ramen. Why are the meat options a broth, but the veggie option a dry noodle? Although, the staff were super kind and friendly, 10/10 for service. Shame the food didn't match!
j. h.
the best service and the best ramen that I’ve had. visited with friends and family each time i went into manchester before the lockdown and became my favourite place to eat, excited for when the restaurant opens back up
S. W.
Managed to try this place for lunch. It's a small restaurant, larger groups of 4 would have trouble here. Overall the vibe a nice street urban feel, however the music was quite loud to hold a conversation, I recommend sitting close to the window for quieter conversation and to people watch.
The menu has a small selection of 4-5 types of ramen. I had the spicy ramen. On the drinks side the selection is also limited, there are no diet drinks. The Calpico was heavily diluted, there was self serve tap water too. The ramen was very tasty and nice, the soup base was flavoursome, I had the urge to drink all the soup. I would rate the ramen here above shoryu and ramen cocktail bun. Staff were friendly and efficient, I can recommend and I would return.
H. H.
I had an amazing bowl of shoyu ramen topped with charred pork belly. The broth was very flavorful; ultimate umami and not too thick or too salty. The marinated egg was soft and sweet. Noodles still had bite to them. Definitely the best ramen in Manchester ❤️🍜
T. B.
Amazing food, great service despite the popularity of the establishment and consistently satisfying. I love it!!!
A. E.
One of the best Ramen places in Manchester. If you go, you have to try the pork Ramen, it's absolutely outstanding.
The place isn't huge so you might have to wait for a table or you might be turned away if it's super busy.
R. K.
I would recommend you to try this place at least for once. They serve authentic ramen noodles, that are extremely delicious, although it was very disappointing to see them have a really small menu. The environment is a mixture of a bar and restaurant, but in a small area which made the table feel close to each other.
A. A.
Minimalist seating and decor yet with a calm, homey feel. Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Menu short but plenty to choose from and the food, wow, it was delicious. If you're after pork bone broth, then this isn't the place for you as they serve chicken bone broth and yet it is just as wonderfully rich, warm and filling. The meat is tender and gristle free. The tea stained eggs are sweet and melt in your mouth soft. The octopus karaage was beautiful. Tenderly cooked meaty chunks of octopus sitting in a miso hummous-like sauce surrounded by squid ink and oils. Overall the dishes were brilliant and rather wonderful. Definitely will be visiting again.

Just buy it

Best ramen in Mcr, with the real feel of a noodle house! Great service 100%, try the spicy ramen!
D.
If I could inject the broth into my veins I would
P. P.
Absolutely fantastic ramen! Crispy chicken worked very well with the sesame base.
B. L.
Pretty good ramen. The broth is very good, although wasnt super impressed by the noodles. Will definitely go back though. It had a good friendly atmosphere, and the service was good.
D. A.
One of, if not, the best ramen place in Manchester!
Also Janven is the man!
M. W.
Loved everything about the place! Had shoyu ramen and some beef off a barbecue which was delicious. Prices are good as ramen is usually about 14 quid in other restaurants.

Had the Shoyu Ramen. The broth was very tasty and the noodles were excellent. The service was great and the decor is fab. Will definitely be back 😋🙌🏻🍜
C. M.
Friendly service, short but authentic menu and good ramen. Was a little on the small side portion wise but this was ideal for me as I can never manage all the broth at Shoryu!
M. T.
Hey great place to have a meal , food fantastic and it's in the northern quarter of Manchester
D. T.
Found whilst wandering Manchester City. Really great service and the most amazing food. Will definatly recommend and visit again
M. G.
Great food, swift service with very hardworking, attentive and welcoming waiters...
On the other hand the music is way too loud so not recommended if you want to sit and chat... After asking the staff to turn it down they said they couldn't control the speakers... This unfortunately spoiled what was an excellent meal.
R. H.
Ramen was slightly salty. Better ramen shops within Manchester at similar price points.
b. b.
One of the best Ramen I ever had! Simply as that! Wonderful! I like the place, the staff, the attitude, the music, and of course the food! WONDERFUL!
S. s.
Fantastic, the best ramen I've eaten in Manchester. Deeper flavour than shoryu and a healthier portion, limited menu but I think that's what makes it so good.
L. L.
Huge Ramen fanatic, been too many establishments throughout UK, this is definitely one of the more authentic ramen shop around.
Will definitely be coming back with friends and family!
T. F.
Brilliant! Staff are lovely, food has that personal touch, and o got to watch them make my meal which was delicious! Lots of flavour! Couldn't be happier :)
S. &. O.
Absolutely delicious! Great quality. I didn’t really expect this. Well done guys keep like this. This is one of the best place to eat in Manchester and not spend much. Well done well done well done!!!!!!
M. B.
Not bad, the amount of meat is ok, but there is not very much veg. Also my egg was not cooked through, it felt cold compared to the broth and a good amount of the white was not solid.
C. W.
Meh...
I guess it was a sign when I ordered green tea and got a cup of boiling water and a tea bag. Ramen was bland, I'd have been disappointed if I'd made it at home. Could really do better. Service is good though.
D. R.
The place offers an awesome range of fresh food. I like dining here. Employees are always super friendly, pricing is convenient and the spot is always well organised.
A. C. A.
Amazing Ramen! The best we can find in Manchester! We can't wait to bring the rest of the team. Great staff and friendly service! A must for vegetarians too!!
M. B.
Service was brilliant, nice atmosphere, great location. The crab was surprisingly nice, but a bit overpriced and somehow the ramen didn't hit the spot.
R. C.
Best Ramen I've ever had
D. J.
Service was quick and food was good, only downsides were that portion was smaller than similar chains and they only serve chicken ramen as opposed to tonkotsu. Otherwise good.
s. m.
We didn't enjoyed the taste of food
A. H.
Great tasty ramen here, noodles were a bit too hard for my taste, and felt a but cheap, but the broth and other ingredients were awesome
D.
Probably the best ramen I had ever, great job guys!
D. A.
Had the chicken ramen and a glass of capsis, very nice though maybe the broth was a bit thick, was still flavoursome. Will be going back to try the small plates.
Z. E.
Best ramen I have tried in the UK, I was an avid diner at Wagamama, I have travelled in Japan, and this comes up at the top. Cannot wait for this place to open its doors
V. G.
One of the best ramen in town
R. K.
Best ramen in Manchester, 10/10, possibly top in UK, perfect broth and noodles. Great service and venue as well overall would recommend.
J. M.
I've been to this place more times than I can think and its so so lovely. The service is great and the food is even better! I would even go as far as to say that i think it is better than Wagamamas, very authentic and very delicious.
D. C.
Very small menu, but delicious. Food came fast and the service was good. It's a very small place though, probably seats 20/25 total
K. D.
I really like their dishes. I always get great service there. The place is clean and the staff members are always super friendly. I highly recommend this place.
G. C.

R. D.
Don't even think about going anywhere else for ramen 🍜🍜🍜🍜
M. H.
I have given it 5 stars for its reputation but In truth I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet because it was an one hour wait for a table so we didnt get the chance
E. C.
Had a awesome experience here with my daughter. The food comes quick and the service is just awesome. Prices are affordable.
g. c.

Awesome chicken. Top ramen. 5/5 easy!

It's ok but a bit pricey for ramen. The curry ramen I had was ok but needed more meat or seafood. The soft shell crab was nice but there needed to be a few more bit of seafood in there or even some meat. The pickled ginger in the dish was a …

Managed to try this place for lunch. It's a small restaurant, larger groups of 4 would have trouble here. Overall the vibe a nice street urban feel, however the music was quite loud to hold a conversation, I recommend sitting close to the …

(Translated) 🇯🇵Tokyo Ramen 🍜
Koji Fried Chicken £7
Sio Ramen £12
Shoyu Ramen £12.5
The British standard is considered to be a good food, and the Japanese-style char siu is good for the same noodles! But it's all D, so salty...
PS: As soon as you sit down, it's like frozen water like a Japanese branch 🤣🤣🤣, and the employees are so awake and fast! lol!
