Not the best pictures as I was too busy eating but 100% 5 star rating!! Would recommend every day of the week!! Friendly staff and the manager is such a gentleman and the food is absolutely gorgeous. Went to a valentines event tonight with a live band!! All in all 5 stars!! Couldn’t be happier with the food, staff or service. Well done! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My partner and I went to Tortuga restaurant, Droylsden as we had heard good things about this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was good and the portion sizes were epic. Really good value for money. Also, we could not fault the friendly and attentive service. This place is great if you don't want to head into Manchester.

Everything about our visit here today was fantastic! I'd heard that the food here is excellent, but it was so much more. I eat out a LOT and my meal here was the best I've had in years. I've eaten here Twice now, food is excellent. But my issue is, I am a vegan, and the menu lacks choices for Vegans. Plentiful choices for Non-Vegan dishes are available for those who eat meat. The menu has a very poor choice for vegetarians and vegans .

Me and my wife went here last night for our anniversary and couldn't have been more surprised. The place it's self was so laid back and calming and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. My wife had never had carribean food before so a member of staff happerly explained the menu. She ordered the jerk chicken and she was very impressed I had the curried goat which was superb. I would 100% recommend this restaurant and make sure you order the rum punch can't wait to go back

Had two takeaways from Tortuga both been excellent and relatives are well impressed plus nice touches from owner with kind messages on packaging and feedback Great customer service and care Cant wait to visit but been so busy taking care of elderly mum sadly we lost her recently she was full of life liked to party and would have loved a visit to Tortuga so we have to do that for her soon. Friends visiting this weekend so going to get them the mixed grill takeaway know they’ll love it and will want to go to Tortuga next time.

Went to celebrate an 18th birthday the food was fabulous my wife had curry goat and rice I had the the mixed grill . Of what I'd seen and heard from our friends all equally enjoyed the food and experience. Just had to wait a bit to get served our meals but that's the only downside the food made up for it .

I actually had a lovely evening there with 3 of my most trusted friends. The food was delicious and the service very friendly. Quite excellent. The reason for 4 stars not 5. It's down as an African/,Caribbean restaurant but it doesn't really evoke the spirit of either Africa or the West Indies. The only thing was the playing of Egyptian soccer in tv. But the cuisine and ambiance didn't really sing of either Africa nor the Caribbean. Although tasty this Tortuga sauce wasn't unlike the curry sauce that you get at a chippy. The only Caribbean beer was Red Stripe, no Carib. And there's no rum or, say Nile beer (Nile is Congolese) on the drinks menu. Dishes don't come with Roti. That said. Lovely ev6. Food was delicious if not really Caribbean.

Great food, though the chilli scales for the main meals seem to be a bit erratic. We ordered two meals both listed as 'medium', which ended up being very different in heat levels from one another. Tonight we had their 'four courses' meal deal for £9.95, which was closer to three as the sides count as a 'course' (we ordered pudding separately), but was nevertheless a good deal. A filling meal for two ended up costing us £25.90, drinks excluded. The service was great, too. They give you a hot wet wipe thing to clean up after your main meal and a mint chocolate each with the bill. Both times we have come so far, the place was empty when we arrived and got busier as the night went on, but was never full. Their food is great so I think they deserve more visitors! (I can't comment on their delivery service yet, although we do plan to try it soon)

This place is a hidden gem! If you love meat off the grill then GO to this gaff! Mixed grill was a joke! Rum punch drink is perfect to wash down! Mo was a legend and can tell hes passionate about the food and the people in his restaurant. Place was buzzing and had a lovely chilled carribean vibe. Have used Tortuga quite a few times, and each time, the food has been fantastic. We usually get our food to take away, and there always seems to be a great atmosphere when I go in to pick up the food. The Ribs (starter) are incredible, and the Mixed grill is highly recommended.

We celebrated my brothers birthday here last night. Tortuga accommodated over 30 of us and they did a fantastic job. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and made sure the night ran smoothly. The food was lovely. I started with the Caribbean prawns which were really good, the prawns themselves were fresh and cooked really well. For my main, I had the curried goat, and as a fan of curried goat, this did not disappoint. The meat was cooked to perfection and they were not shy with their portion. Everybody in our party enjoyed their food, a few had the mixed grill and the meat was good quality, really tasty and cooked well. Oh and the ribs were fantastic too. Overall, a great night! I will definitely be returning!

Ordered for the first time tonight and it definitely won't be our last. Food was on point and service was really outstanding. A cocktail and a side had been forgotten in our order. It was a little disappointing but no big deal, I just got a refund. To my surprise the driver shown up a little later on with the side and 2 cocktails on the house and he couldn't have been more apologetic. Not many places would have done that. I'd certainly recommend.

Overall, it was really good. I've been into the restaurant and had delivery now, and both experiences have been really good. A few hiccups whilst in the restaurant, but they were so attentive and apologetic, it was lovely. I was disappointed with the low range of drinks available...no Wray and Nephew, no Appleton...there range of everything is lacking BUTTTT I know it'll improve. The owner assured me lol. Portions are great and very generous. I've nd her received so much plantain in my entire life!!! The prices and deals are very, very good. I wouldn't recommend the pasta pasta, but I'd recommend the lamb chops, jerk chicken, prawns, creamy mushrooms, ribs, curry goat and sea bass. Will definitely be returning there and I'll request delivery again too.

I've wanted to eat at Tortuga since it opened but never got chance with the restrictions in place so I've waited months for my birthday to order a takeaway. I wish I hadn't waited so long now! Absolutely gorgeous food and everything was sooo delicious. We ordered a starter of ribs, goat curry, mini mixed grill and a chicken wrap which were all lovely. The photos online don't do the chips justice as they are a lot tastier than they look! Even writing 'Enjoy' on the containers made us smile. Welcome to Jamrock!!!!!!!! This place is the real deal. Authentic Jamaican food with extra flavour. The staff/owner go out of their way to make sure your visit is everything you would expect. Foods lovely, cooked to order. Hubby had curried goat I had the sea bass ☺️. Both dishes lovely as always. Service spot on. The owner was off and it was lovely to see his business running as always with him being absent. Can't fault it 😁
