They have some of the best chips on the Curry Mile: fat, fluffy skin-on chips. I ordered a chicken burger, which they fry in their own batter that gives it a unique texture to other chicken burgers in the local area. Unfortunately I think it's also the same batter they use for their fish, as I couldn't help noticing a fishy taste in the chicken burger I ordered, which ruined it for me. Otherwise a good experience though.

I normally buy fish n chips from this chippy which is fine but the other day I bought a chicken burger meal the other day. Now when I want chicken burger meal I expect it to be chicken burger meal not tasting or looking like a fish. The chicken looked and tasted exactly like fish and the bun was same dusty bun that you get from chip shops and same fat chippy chips rather than fries. They marinate the chicken in the same mix as the fish which is wrong. Please make sure if you are selling chicken burger meal it tastes exactly like fried chicken shops and not like fish and chips and the bun is toasted on the pan like fried chicken shops do.

Bit hit-and-miss really. Fantastic delivery times (we did home delivery), got the order right but some of the food wasn't edible. Btw, the Uber app is pretty awesome - you can see the delivery driver actually turning into your street on the map! We ordered a veg pizza, a steak chicken mix and large fish and chips. The pizza and fish and chips were perfectly cooked, hot and flavourful. But the steak chicken mix was pretty awful, largely because the steak was unbelievably chewy, so much so that we had to bin the steak pieces. I would order again, but probably give the steak a miss and try the chicken steak instead. Recommended but don't get anything with beef steak unless you have razor sharp teeth and a jaw that can chew lots.

Uncle b has great Windows to look at the traffic going past. Me and my girlfriend watch out of it a few hours a day. Oh the joy it brings us. Going tonight for valentines can't wait.

To be perfectly honest with you this place was recommended to me, my initial thoughts were a takeaway that serves everything cant serve good old fashioned fish and chips can they? How wrong was I? They serve one of the best fish which is very lightly battered and is a very good portion size. Very tasty and moist. The chips on the other hand was not something I would ever crave but went well with the fish. There is plenty of seating both upstairs and downstairs. The fish is made to order so dont forget to ring in advance or you may just find yourself waiting 10-15 mins whiles their throw a fresh one in the fryer for you.

Recently since the new management, uncle b's have substantially improved their food and delivery. Not only is the food delicious it is always fresh and cooked to perfection. Th service is super quick and overall it has become one of my top food places to order from. I would highly recommend re-trying uncle b's since the new management because their food quality and service has been upgraded and it is definitely worth every penny!👍

Uncle B what a man he is. B probably stands for banging pizzas. 3 for £15.95 is a steal of a meal deal, and it might rattle your pipes but I have never regretted an Uncle B's. I hope one day we can invite Mr B over to make pizza in our kitchen, but we can only dream. 5 stars for you my friend

Really really like this Uncle B's they do the best fish and chips in Manchester the shark and chips is huge it comes in a pizza sized boxed, they also offer a chicken steak and chips which is just delicious. Anytime I order they always either come early or just on time never really come late and if they do they update you on a time. The staff are very friendly too and everything I have tried from this place seems to be fresh as it can be. Please do not miss this opportunity to try this place

honestly i can't say a wrong word about Uncle B, what a place to eat, ordered the pizza pretty much every time, very nice portion sizes, even though it left me with a dodgy arse it was thoroughly enjoyable, it was always fast to deliver normally about 20 minutes, if i could suggest anything i would go for the Donner Kebab pizza

Absoloute hero of the curry mile, best pizza in manchester. Uncle b, more like Uncle Brilliant. Anyone hating on this place clearly doesnt know a good takeaway when they see one. Pizzas may be a tad spicy and leave you glued to the toilet in the morning but try not to let this distract you from the unbelievable taste.

Loved the food, we tried their pizza, fish and chips, and some steak fries they all tasted amazing. Would highly recommend this place. The person serving behind the till and constantly screaming at his staff "less talking more working" not so great. If your staff isn't working properly then speak to them in the kitchen or discretely, screaming from the main counter was a little unprofessional with some people proper having a laugh over it lol Apart from that great place would definitely go back :)

I’m gna be a little kind here. DO NOT GET THE PASTIES. DRY AND JUST HEATED IN THE MICROWAVE. Feel free to get the fish and chips. Good munch. Even the small is a big portion. The chips and steak mix is good too. Apart from the pasties it’s a good place. Fast service and real good quality.
