Always have a nice peaceful meal here, it is very rarely busy. Great service and great steak always but a couple of negatives from our meal this time. They were only serving the lunch menu, the fries were overdone and the jumbo prawns were ok but jumbo must mean something different to whoever writes the menu. Again, great service and can't fault our waitress, she even disinfected the highchair before giving it to us.

Restaurant- what a find, stopped by in a Saturday about 1pm and what a find a real gem. The staff were super helpful and provided us 2 steak sandwiches, really tasty and the fries were just right. Clean cut and hot fries. But, whereas the food was good, for us, it was the staff that really made the visit worth while. We arrived with 2 dogs, so sat outside and they provided us with water for the dogs and a little treat for them as well. Many thanks and we’ll worth a visit

Lovely new restaurant right underneath the new Premier Inn hotel. Unfortunately on our visit they were very short staffed and getting prompt service was disappointing. It took 10 minutes for the first drink to arrive which was just 2 beers and water. Before sitting down, we had had observed the typed notices saying they were closing at 9pm. It left me feeling uneasy throughout in case were were asked to leave before finishing our meals. Overall, the steaks were good but the portion of peppercorn sauce supplied, was very stingy; the size just a little more than a double tot measure. Barely enough to cover the steak. And although I had the larger 12oz steak, I had the same sauce portion as someone else who had the 8oz steak. And extra sauce is charged at £1.50.

Came for a work breakfast when newly opened company paid so not sure on prices. food was decent, only let down was that it didn't all come out together although there was about 12 to 16 of us. mine was last out (shock) was nice could have been warmer. weird toaster unless you know how to use it!

The restaurant was amazing. I had booked a Sunday dinner meal for my Father's 90th birthday. I'd only mentioned the reason to the restaurant about 3 hours before we we were due to eat. Upon arrival we were amazed at the display on our table. Decorated with balloons, birthday decorations, as well as a badge and a gift from the staff and management. The young lady serving us was very friendly and polite and very knowledgeable about the menu etc. The starters were excellent and well presented. The main courses were cooked to perfection with huge portions too. In fact, Father remarked the it was the best steak he had eaten in years. There was no emphasis on rushing and the staff were attentive throughout. Would highly recommend and can't wait to return soon.

Lovely friendly staff. We had 2 great waitresses Kacey and Holly who were very helpful, friendly and full of fun. They provided a prompt, quick service with a smile. Food was excellent and the whole restaurant was clean, airy and fresh. We had both dinner and breakfast there and the staff for breakfast time were also very pleasant and friendly and gave a quick service. Food cooked to perfection.

My stay there was very good, the steak and the breakfasts were excellent. In particular I would like to say that the young lady name Lois who worked in the bar/restaurant area was a credit to the hotel. She was extremely pleasant and very helpful, she worked so hard all night rushing between the bar and table service and always with a smile on her face and so well mannered. Well done, its so nice to receive such great service.

Visited friends in Haversham and they suggested this venue as it had recently opened. We were not disappointed from start to finish. The food was superbly cooked and well presented. The Eton mess pud was great. The staff were very friendly and made you feel at ease. Wine was reasonably priced too. All in all a great evening and will definitely be going again

Nice restaurant, lovely staff, good food, good drinks menu. The thing that let this place down was the lack of menu items and drink items. We constantly had to re-order because something wasn't available. This happened with starters, mains, most drinks and even dessert. This was a Saturday evening and the restaurant had only a handful of customers there so I can't understand why half the menu was missing.

Sited under the Premier inn. Was very busy. Book in advance. Very similar to the Millar and carter. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of choice on the menu. Starters came looked and tasted lovely. Main course we all ordered steak all different and and all cooked different times. All steaks were cooked perfectly to our requirements. All chips that came looked and tasted great.

Was are first time visiting a bar + block, for a whitbread chain restaurant was really good, the fillet steak I had was amazing, cooked to my liking, side where good, and the churro sundae was awesome perfect finish to a great meal, and price wise was very good for the quality of the food, would definitely be going back soon 😋

My wife and I really enjoy visiting Bar + Block. The food is delicious and the cocktails are most enjoyable. The Popstar Martini is a must try. The staff are exceptional and are what make this restaurant an enjoyable stop. Really friendly, super helpful, nothing is too much. In particular, Liesa, who is just wonderful.

Nice restaurant. Layout was good for a big group of us, not too busy mid week. Garlic king prawns were very tasty and the salt&pepper squid also got excellent reviews round the table. The nachos weren't quite right though, far too dry. Mixed grill was very tasty. None of us had room for dessert. Price wise, they do a good discount if you sign up via their website for the first time.

I went to Bar + Block with my friends and had a lovely evening. I ordered the 8oz burger and they catered to the adjustments i asked for perfectly and the burger was delicious. Food was good value for the quality and the service was quick. The waiter we had was Shah and he delivered lots of information about the food and was extremely helpful and polite! I was served food by Tia and she was very polite and kind to our table. After my burger i ordered the brownie for desert and it was amazing, i had my heart set on getting the brownie when i saw it on the online menu and was not disappointed, i was amazed. My friends had a burger and a steak and they enjoyed it very much! lovely service and food.

Had a very pleasant birthday dinner with friends on the 25th (Mon). We all enjoyed the starters and the 'mains'!! I would definitely recommend this place and I would return for sure! I have just one criticism and that is when I ordered a pepper sauce for my steak, the portion of sauce presented is in a very small receptacle.................I like loads of sauce as I think most people do........If the restaurant could make this small adjustment, that would be appreciated! Service was great!! Well done!

We went for a friends birthday. The food was tasty and the cocktails were good - but the service was extremely slow. We were a party of 5 on a Tuesday night, and it took an hour for the starters to arrive and then didn't finish the mains (we are not slow eaters) but we had been there 2 hours, 15 minutes.. needless to say we missed our other plans due to how long the meal took. But the staff were apologtic and did take some money off the bill. I would try it again as perhaps they were having an off night, but the service did really dampen the evening....

This was our third visit to Bar and Block. A lot of people may sneer because it’s a chain associated with Premier Inn but I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I mentioned on the booking that it was my mums birthday thinking they may just put a candle in her dessert but they went above and beyond, laying out decorations, a card, balloons and a box of complimentary chocolates. On top of this the food was amazing, we had the most perfect Sunday Roast! Yes, they are having some stock availability issues at the moment but they are 100% open about this and make it very clear when you go in of what they have and don’t have on any given day. The staff are great, with a shoutout to Lisa who served us and took special care to make my mums birthday a lovely day for her.

Pretty disappointing meal. Steak was cooked well but overall there's better places to be found doing this kind of food. The chain appears to be going for a premium/higher end steak house feel but the design touches throughout are confused and already a bit dated. Had the mixed grill, which is a small plate meal compared to the offerings of competing restaurants.

Went for breakfast (few places are open for breakfast early) and found it to be a nice, clean venue. Staff were really pleasant. Choice between continental or cooked. Had a bit of both and enjoyed (but the cooked was a little cold). Coffee was included, which was nice. Not as cheap as other 'establishments' but reasonable and worth the few quid more.

Place is ok. But it is £16.50 to £29.00 for a pretty standard steak and chips. And lots run out of stock early on a Friday. Had to change both our orders as nether of out first choice was available. Staff and food all just ok. Not particularly bad...not particularly good. Just ok.

Went here for Sunday lunch.....it was excellent. The meat was done to perfection and the vegetables were just as I like them...al dente. The portion was large and the service was ...was friendly, attentive and very helpful. It was very quiet when we were there, so it did lack a teensy bit of atmosphere.....but everything else was spot on.

As the name states, this is a good place to have a good meal if you like your beef. Great place for a family meal, be prepared to lighten your wallet though, but on the plus side, the food is OK and you get to eat in clean modern and very comfortable surroundings. Parking is OK. We've found a good alternative choice for dining out in Milton Keynes.
