Pleased with our food, the fish was cooked fresh which is really nice. The guy that served me, probably the owner was so nice and helpful that did impress me. Good service too makes alot of difference.

This is how I imagine British Fish Bar. Quick and tasty, good choice of fish. Very pleasant service. Will definitely visit the next time I'm in the area. Why not 5 stars? I think there is a better place than this but definitely not in this town.

Nice little chip shop. Good quality food. A bit of a wait but im glad to say the wait was worth it when you get quality fish and chips a bit on the pricey side but then sometimes you have to pay that bit more for quality. Staff friendly and chatty.Which helped to pass the time whilst waiting for my large haddock,chips and mushy peas to be freshly cooked. But great portion size as well.I certainly didnt feel hungry some two or three hours after finishing my huge whale of a meal. Yum!! Yum!! 😊

Michael and the team at Fenny Fish Bar conjured up an amazing 17 meals to feed the competitors and volunteers for our sailing event last weekend. As always, wonderful fish and chips that were all very fresh. Lots of compliments from the sailors who came from all over the country and the empty boxes at the end of the evening said it all. Finally a gluten free chip shop I can trust! Restaurant was perfect for me and my young children, nice choices on the kids menu and I was served on a proper plate with cutlery. Staff were really friendly and made me feel welcome, I even had the choice from 2 types of curry sauce.... I recommend the hot 🙂 Car park was a little tricky to get in and out of but the tasty chips made up for it! 100% going back!

The epitome of hit and miss. Some times this is literally the best fish and chips you could hope for. On other nights the chips are oily, sausage dry and fish rather unpleasant. Staff always friendly and restaurant always clean and more often than not it's good.

Went twice when was over on business. Fish and chips were very good and swiftly made. Went back and hlgot a sausage and chips. The sausage was terrible, overdone, hard and dry, chips still good. Chef wouldn't smile at you though lady taking money pleasant but will probably never go back. Reasonable fish but destroyed my faith in them with one aweful saussage.

A great portion of fish and chips, always cooked to a good standard. I found it to be a long wait during busy periods once or twice, so I suggest booking ahead by phone if you are short on time, which has worked for me up to now!
