Ooft, delicious! Had a Just Eat delivery from here. Arrived in amazing time for Just Eat standards, really well packaged and still hot 👌 i got the butterfly king prawns starter, they were beautiful, nice and juicy too! For the main event i got the lesagne grande, i really enjoyed this outstandingly delicious with a very delicate feel, very tasty mmmm! Desert, blood orange and chocolate tart, really nice, too rich for my pallet tho but still ate it all non the less haha.. good food cant be wasted! Would defo order the starter and main again 👌😁👍

the staff were amazing the tables were clean and the place was cosy. That’s a shame that’s all that was really good about the place. Took about an hour for 2 Pizza’s and Chips the Pizza was close to cold when it finally got to us and the chips were quite oily more oily than they should be. I also find it quite bizarre that a 330ml bottle of coke it’s 3 pound too. I’ll not be returning. The ASK Italian at the Metrocentre is much better.

Very lovely place for lunch and/or dinner. I really loved their garlic bread for starters but my main course which was pasta with chicken and mushroom with white sauce was average to be honest. Their non-alcoholic cocktail of passion fruit and mango was really good.

We have been here before so went again and it was great! As someone who is gluten free it is difficult to find good options but they had a fair amount of choices! I went for the carbonara (gluten free) and the only starter on the gluten free menu which was buratta cabrese. The carbonara was thoroughly enjoyed and I was not personally a fan of the buratta but I believe that that is down to personal preference! Really good experience, staff very attentive and service was good. The raspberry lemonade is great. Would recommend to anyone, especially those looking for good gluten free Italian and I'm sure we will be visiting again!

I absolutely have to congratulate Ask italian this evening, because he really knew how to give me a magnificent experience among accurate dishes with an exceptional taste, and we have to thank the waiters with gallantry and professionalism, but above all the kitchen engine, especially IETTA and ALBERTO, two people who know how to make the customer feel at home and thanks to their formidable communication skills, being exceptional cooks, they made a extraordinary job tonight.I will definitely be returning very soon and talking about their high performance in York city where I live. thanks again for tonight guys.

I have been to both this location and at the Metrocentre many times. The prices are reasonable, food is great and so are the cocktails. The only thing I would criticise is the the customer service as waiters are slow to sit you down. take your orders and serve you. On one occasion, the waiting times were so bad that they gave me the meal on the house! If you do go and are a seafood lover then I recommend the Aragosta e Gamberoni (crab and prawn pasta). Great lunch menu, two courses for £9.95. Also meerkat 2-4-1 on starters, mains and deserts. Great deals. The choices are great and portion size big. Taste very good and menu for allergies and vegan menu available too. Greeted with homemade lemonade shots for free, nice touch. Staff always very friendly. One of my friends and I favourite places to catch up and eat at a budget.

Really like this place. Can order on your phone, generous portion sizes and not too expensive. Been here 3 times now and both the service and food are great. There was an issue with a coffee machine and it took then a few minutes to get our drinks, however they gave them us for free regardless which I was rather happy about :)

During this Lockdown 2.0, I can say this is the only restaurant in Newcastle that has been able to keep the same level of quality (temperature, freshness, flavour, presentation and portion size) that I usually receive when dining in but now through the takeaway options! 🗒️My Order: Left: Risotto con Pollo E Funghi 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Right: Penne al Pollo Della Casa 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The Cheese, Olives and other Sauces come on a separate box (Top left). And a portion of chips on them 😉. I've made this exact same order twice and the Quality and Excellence has been exactly the same! 👏👏👏👏👏 Very happy Customers over here ✨! ♻️ On top of that all the packaging is Recycled.

I chose to go to ASK Italian in Eldon Square for my birthday lunch with my parents who were visiting for the day. The reason I chose here is because I didn't want anything going wrong on my birthday and knew I could count on them to give great service, excellent food and a lovely atmosphere - and they did! While here I got a lasagne and I went grande oh yeah I'm that kind of guy... was very disappointed as the meatballs were tasteless and not seasoned, the mince was the exact same so that was pretty disappointing from a resteraunt I expected to be great. its saving grace was the bechamel sauce and the ham on top which tasted gorgeous. While here I got a drink of coke and found a pip in my glass so to save embarrassment I just left this issue as it did come from a lemon in the glass but I did nearly choke on it. It just felt unclean and as much as the staff were helpful I just had a feeling everything just wasn't as nice behind the scenes.

Food was very nice portion size isn't the biggest but it makes up for it. Wine was off as it was oxidised and had a bubbly taste which sauvignon blanc is supposed to be flat meaning it was fermented and bottled incorrectly. Dessert was nice and refreshing sorbet ice cream was surprisingly good.

Really good lunch menu , a little over priced for about £10-£15 all in for one person for lunch, but the food is really tasty. Only flaw is that the staff is very lazy and they take ages to come take your order or to bring you what you ordered even when the restaurant is pretty much always empty.

Lovely staff members, very helpful. I had a booking for 4pm but as I had never been to newcastle before I couldn’t find the restaurant at first, called them and they were very happy to help. Upon arrival they seated you straight away, there is a barcode on the table to order online, however this wasn’t working on my phone, so a staff member came over to take our order, food came quickly, was hot & very nice! Staff were polite when we left too.

We went Saturday afternoon, we got a table straight away and they are well spaced for social distance purposes. Food was excellent. We ordered a cheese fondue for starter and it was fantastic. No complaints from the mains either. The food came out pretty quickly as well. However, service could have been a lot better, several times we had to go to the bar because there was no other staff about. Additionally, our table was positioned at the very end of the restaurant. We were so far out that it felt like we were almost not even in the restaurant. Also, we constantly had to move so people with buggies could get in and out. Overall, good food but everything else could have been better.

Called on the off chance as we were in Newcastle to be told that they were full but if we could wait a couple of minutes they would see what they could do. The gentleman on the desk found us a table in no time. We had a 2 course meal for £12.99 and I had a starter and main from the menu. The waiting staff were excellent and service was really quick to say all the tables were full. Our meals arrived and were cooked to perfection. As people were leaving there was a steady queue for people wanting tables. I suppose the reason was the 50% discount on food we paid just over £20 for 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 drinks.

When you first arrive at ASK Italian they give you shots of lemonade, the shot glass was a little dirty with what looked like garlic butter, but that was the only hygiene complaint of the night. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the pizzas and pastas are a very generous size. I unfortunately didn't enjoy my meal so ordered chips instead, and they were kind enough to take the original meal off our bill, as well as let another member of our party take the food home to eat later. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice and somewhat relaxed, they didn't mind us lighting a homemade birthday cake on the table. The lady who served us was lovely which definitely added to the experience. The bill came to around £100 for 8 people (mains and some desserts), and a 10% service charge was automatically added. Overall, a really nice place, reasonably prices, would definitely go again.

Myself and my two friends called in for an impromptu meal and weren't disappointed. We were tended to by a blonde lady who we assumed was management as she didn't have the company uniform on (wish we had asked her name) Her service was impeccable and she bent over backwards for us. The food was amazing and we left thoroughly stuffed even though we couldn't possibly have eaten it all. We all chose different meals and all were delicious. I have no hesitation in recommending a visit and we can't wait to return.

Booked Ask Italian via Buy a Gift for our friends for a Christmas gift. We went there on 23rd February, and after being settled at our table with glasses of prosecco , our order was taken promptly by Kamila. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was prompt and the staff were so friendly. I cant praise the staff and food enough. A very pleasant experience which we hope to repeat. Well done .

Food good but covid measures could be better. No visible hand gel on entry nor told to use any. Non of the staff had any face coverings or visors and came very close when taking orders. Tables andc seats were cleaned after customers left but back of seats the main touch point when people go to a table to sit down were not cleaned. Did see staff washing hands and gelling hands occasionally. It's a shame I really like Ask restaurants but I am a bit more reluctant to go back in this present climate given this recent dining experience.

The palce is very nice and not busy; I went there on a Wednesday around 16:00-17:00. The service was prompt, the meal delicious and waiter Dylan very attentive and kind.
