AMAZING Drinks doesn't bring back memories, Poke bowl does I was longing for a poke bowl place to open up ever since I tried it abroad, and 4 years later, I heard of Avopoke and was excited to try it out. Poke bowl is rice with fish as meat topped with various vegetables and you can pick whatever you like from the menu. I had a regular Californian which has all the things decided (2 sizes, regular and lite) This is really good poke bowl, lots of salmon, and other various toppings, and lots of rice to fill you up. There was lots of flavour from the fish, strong sour and earthy tones from pickled ginger to cleanse your palate, sweetness from the pomegranate, and the mellow taste of the avocado which all complimented each other. I just wish the salmon was in slices rather than cubes. I only give 5 stars if I would go back another day to eat...this would be 6 stars because I wouldn't mind eating this everyday. Try it out, you'll be crawling back for more. Note, the rice is warm while the salmon and other things is cold, so recommended to eat as soon as possible.

Absolutely delicious poke bowls served here! I must have tried all the different flavours and they were all amazing, but if I had to pick one, it'd be the spicy one with the homemade kimchi. Very generous portions using all fresh ingredients. The service is great as well, very friendly people here. As a coffee enthusiast, I've been to many cafes and have never come across an avocado-coffee drink. What a great flavour combo, it really works and is strongly recommended!

Built my own poke bowl - the all ingredients felt fresh and particularly enjoyed the salmon and sambal. I would come here regularly if I lived in Newcastle! The avocado smoothie was also a great drink for the hot day. Five out of five 🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑

Currently one of my favourite go to places to go. I love Japanese food or Asian inspired food and this is basically just sushi.. in a bowl! I’d never tried a poke bowl before coming here and I never even really knew what it was. Californian bowl is my go to every time, and the chicken or shrimp gyoza are probably the best I’ve ever had so far. Does a good matcha latte too. Owners a nice guy, and you’ll usually be greeted by his dog when you walk in too which is nice haha. I recommend this place to everyone all the time because this is one of those great places you haven’t heard about (yet). 5*!

We went here just to try something a bit different and so glad we did. The food is totally awesome and the bonus is its all very healthy. We ordered gyoza (veg & shrimp) and the rainbow and the vegan bowl. The ‘very hot’ sauce the owner gave us was amazing. It's a new establishment and the menu is slightly limited but don’t let that put you off because what they do have is so worth having. We will definitely come back here again next time we’re Newcastle. An absolute gem of a find!

First time trying Poké bowls. I went for the Californian lite bowl tasty and healthy, the shrimp gyoza are very reasonably priced as well and some of the best I've had. Overall the place has a really welcoming vibe the staff are friendly and my food was made quickly. I will definitely be popping in again! 🥑

Cannot complain about anything in store , the quality of the food is definitely worth the price you pay, it can be a wait for the food during the evenings, staff here are very friendly and know their stuff.

Ordered through deliveroo as fancied something different as a takeaway.... Wow! What a treat! The freshest raw fish and bowls packed with flavour..... There were 5 of us, so we probably tried most of the set options.... And we weren't disappointed. Best takeaway food I've had in a long time. It took a while to deliver, but we got an apology and 5 free kombucha. We will be back! Thank you!

The pokébowls were absolutely worth the wait! I came in just as they ran out of rice, which they were super apologetic about. But I didn't mind. It gave me time to do some other shopping and when I came back a little earlier than planned I could spend the other time petting Peggy. Will definitely be back soon :)
