Eat Meat……frickin rad. Perfection. Clean. Perfect service with a smile. All you need to fill up on good piles of clean meat. Clean bathrooms. Family friendly but non family sections also. Can be romantic. Food tastes amazing and feels good 👍

Stayed at the hotel & booked in for a meal, excellent service from start to finish, lots to choose from off the menu & the food was excellent , fresh & tasty, did not have to wait long either, comfy seating too. We had breakfast in the morning, much to choose from, fresh hot food & muvh more to choose from, coffee was excellent too, again Excellent service from all the staff, would 100% reccomend.

First time we've been, really tasty food, good selection and big portions. Sunday lunch was excellent! Only complaint was that the service was a bit slow, but we will still be going back either for Sunday lunch again or steaks/burgers.

Staying at the attached Premier Inn. Having traveled for 4 hrs from Stevenage to Newcastle we were told by the maitre d that they had limited menu and we're not accepting "walk ins" the restaurant was pretty empty. So not taking No for an answer I booked online and got a table anyway. Food was fine they still had plenty of stuff available, and waiting for a table was not a problem. Just disappointed that they didn't just book a table for us when we turned up,

After some confusion at the start of our meal (between who was taking our order) we were very politely served by whom I can only assume was the manager. We enjoyed the prawn starter to share and then a 12oz ribeye and a 12oz fillet to share. Both steaks were cooked perfectly to the requirement (medium rare) and the chips were very nicely cooked. The kind gentlemen even took our drinks off the bill as an apology, which was a very nice gesture of which I reciprocated. This was made better with not only the 50% off up to £20 (government deal) but instead they're doing 50% off the final bill! All together a wonderful evening and meal and we will definitely be back to take up the managers suggestion. Updated: I have been a few times now and the food is still unbelievable and the staff are so friendly!! Will be back alot!

Food was excellent and would fully recommend. The service from the staff was excellent and attentive. Deal on at the time which was from the mains at 1 full price 2nd for £1. This being said we would definitely return as the food served was delicious. Beer was £4.80 for Moretti & cider Rekordilig mixed fruit £4.60 which is an expected cost in the city centre. This is a new restaurant and a pleasure to visit.

Can't work out whats more amazing in this place, the food, the drinks or the staff! Especially James! First time trying squid and it was lovely, as well as the beef dripping chips and chilli King prawns. I've been twice now and the Sunday lunch is also gorgeous! One of the best places in the city centre ☺

It was my friends 40th and it was booked very last minute. As always, everything was perfect. Angel is a credit to your team. I booked a last minute table in August when it was another friends 40th and she was phenomenal, I was so happy she was our service again. She went above and beyond and nothing is ever any trouble at all. She is honestly amazing! I was also blown away as Kieran answered the phone and I mentioned it was a birthday and that we were having fillet and he held this back to make sure we had this available. The finishing touch, they gave my friend a birthday card and some wine … just WOW! I honestly loved Bar + Block in London but you guys in Newcastle just exceed all expectations! Thank you for another fantastic experience and I’ll be back at the end of January with all my mates for my birthday!

Was absolutely no chicken optional was available for chicken bacon bbq sauce cheese meal... I'm absolutely baffled kn my partner size portion which suppose to be 5oz and large meals and his was halved portion more than mine.... Overall kids were spot on and loved theirs No disappointment for kids but disappointment for us x so give u 3 star x

Myself and my wife booked bar & block last week after reading all the reviews and we weren't disappointed, The staff were absolutely brilliant and very attentive we were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door, The food was fantastic I had the steak sampler and my wife had the surf and turf, The steaks were cooked to perfection. When we visit Newcastle again we will definitely be going back, Well worth a visit to this restaurant you won't be disappointed, and the price of the meal was great. Well done to all the staff.

My husband and i stumbled upon this place last night and what a great find! I had the 8oz fillet steak, i asked for it meduim well, when it arrived it was a little too pink for me but they cooked it a little longer, it came back absolutely perfect! It was the best steak i have ever eaten by far! My husband had the mixed grill, he really enjoyed it, and his steak was cooked exactly how he liked it :) the meal sizes were great, not too big but enough to feel full, the only very slight downside was the amount of sauce that came with it (i had peppercorn), it tasted amazing but there just wasnt enough, we had side orders of beer battered onion rings which were lovely and the halloumi fries were to die for, so tasty, i would travel from Scotland again just for those! We both had a dessert 1 sticky toffee pudding and one triple chocolate brownie, both were delicious! The staff in this place were so nice, there was a young lady that im sure i overheard say she was just new she was so nice and bubbly, it was a nice atmosphere and a good night all round :)

We booked a table after receiving our discount code. Had a nice meal paid up but forgot to use the code. I asked the manager at the time if he could refund it. He told me he was busy but if we called the next day they would arrange it. It cost me over £250 for the meal. We called the next day to be told that they wouldn’t refund it. They are now ignoring our calls and email. Poor for such a big company. Can’t see us using them again.

This review is only for the breakfast buffet as I have not eaten there later. Cannot fault what you get for the price. If you like breakfast food like I do, then there's as much of the good stuff as you want; bacon especially is smoky and delicious. Lots of sweet and savoury options. Lots of drinks on offer, coffee, tea, multiple juices. Venue is very comfortable and attractively decorated. Great bang for buck if you plan on eating a lot!

Amazing sirlion steak and lobster tail, the chips which were meant to be beef dripping did not taste of dripping but were ok. The cocktails were good and one of the waiters was very entusiastic.

Lacking a bit in atmosphere. Cocktails served in tumbler glasses. Asked for a larger steak. Was provided with a smaller one. Said hand cut chunky chips. They were Mc Cains and about 7 on the plate. If the steak had not been one of the best I had tasted my rating would have been one. With great tasting steak like that why mess it up because you can't be arsed to serve a cocktail properly or are too tight to give a decent portion of chips. I paid enough.

I had prebooked a table for Breakfast from Premier Inn and arrived at around 8.50am. The service was astounding, like it was absolutely brilliant, James and Lizzie was the waiters that were working this morning, no job was too little for them, they were constantly making sure I had everything I wanted, even offering top ups when they could see I was low on 'Orange Juice'. They explained simply and clearly what new procedures were in place due to covd-19 and they were very easy to follow and clearly laid out. The food was good as ever, no faults there. Good service truly makes a difference in what you come away thinking about you're experience and time and I'll be leaving here with a phenomenonal impression. Thank you James and Lizzie.

This resteraunt was very mutch so the best last minute decision me and my fiance made as thefood was soo great and the service to match I ordered the salt and pepper squid which was full of flavour an explosion in my mouth my fiance ordered the mac and cheese bites which where realy tasty then for mains we had the mighty block burger and the classic with cheese so filling I felt I was going to pop but I still squeezed there melting chocolate dome in as desert a wonderful full experience and I'm still salivating as I write this Finaly I just want to say thank you to James b who was very kind to us and quick at serving us our food and drinks the popstar martini is a very tasty drink by the way
