Reviews of Côte Newcastle
L. E.
Absolutely fabulous place, can not fault it. Me and my partner went here and were seated straight away no problem. Service was impeccable from the moment of walking in to the moment of leaving. Great pricing too, got two courses for £14.95 each. Great with allergens, one of us has a gluten intolerance and the other a peanut allergy, but they made sure we knew everything and even showed us a full allergen guide. Will definitely be returning within the next month.
M. R.
Beautiful in every way. A nice break from the usual Newcastle
options. Elegant and affordable. Clean. Great service.
Many Gluten free options. Non alcoholic drinks are amazing.
Alcoholic drinks are super. Kind and beautiful people.

Called in on the off chance late in the evening after our original dinning plans collapsed. A warm friendly welcome from staff that proved to be very pleasant and friendly throughout our meal.
Very impressed with the food. Crab starter and French onion soup were really nice. The beef cheek bourguignon was very good and the fish parmentier excellent.
An excellent meal rounded off by a couple of espresso martini crepes. I was heavy handed pouring the sauce, but so what, it's chocolate. Wonderful.
All in all a tasty dining experience.
Y. E.
Lovely atmosphere and tasty food. Went here for lunch during restaurant week and me and my youngest daughter had the three course lunch for £15. Really I should have had the two courses and I was stuffed at the end. My daughter kept commenting on how fancy the place looked. Would definitely return

What a wonderful experience. The place is elegant and spacious. The staff are attentive and friendly. It’s usually busy so you need to make a reservation. I had a mushroom soup, ribeye stake and creme caramel. The mushroom soup was very delicious and the creme caramel was exquisite. The rip-eye was average. Definitely coming back to try the creme brûlée.
J. J.
Amazing pre-theatre meal. Food is always fantastic here, also wine menu is brilliant, check out the white Bergundy and the Sancerre. Also has the best creme brulee ever, so good I didn't manage to get a photo before it was gone.
F. R.
No reservation but the staff quickly found us a table. Affordable and smart brasserie serving brunch until 2pm. The eggs florentine were superb - sautéed rather than soaked spinach served with a sharp hollandaise sauce. Delicious.
A. L.
Gorgeous, dined here for breakfast and staff kindly squeezed us in. I'd recommend booking. Cant wait to return to try lunch 😋
R. P.
Absolutely fantastic! Came here for a friends birthday this week and was looked after superbly by a female waitress I think her name was Lily and the male manager on duty Nicky. They both really made the evening really special. We all work in hospitality and we were blown away at how professional everyone at Cote was! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for looking after us.
A. C.
Lovely food, great view on Newcastle's Monument and great service!
will definitely come back 😊

We reserved a table on Friday to eat here as read many good reviews from here. We came 10 mins early but they were able to sit us earlier. We loved how the tables were all very well spaced out, in a way each table had their own type of booth.
The waiters were very attentive and friendly. When we were picking what to order, they offered some dishes to go with the ones we wanted. For example we order Fougasse and they suggested getting Prawn Gratinee as they said dipping the bread into the sauce works so well. I am glad we took their advice, as that worked so well. The dishes were so well presented and tasted amazing.
We ordered:
Starters: Fougasse, Calamari and Prawn Gratinee
Mains: Poulet 'Breton' and Confit Pork Belly, side order of Fries
Desserts: Seasonal Berry Pavlova and Creme Brulee
This place was worth going and we will be going there again for sure.

My go to breakfast place in Newcastle
Food: croissants / pastries are delicious. General breakfast is also fantastic with lots of variety. Coffees are also yummy.
Service: Fantastic 10/10. Treated like royalty. They remembered us from the last time we came (months before)
Price: Not cheap but very reasonable. Worth the extra couple of pounds for your breakfast because of the fantastic experience and food.

Walked in without a booking early afternoon and wow, the food here was good. Our waiter was so kind and attentive! The atmosphere was very nice. Nothing but good things to say about this restaurant, despite being a chain we left feeling like we were taken care of.

Had a great night for my daughters' birthday. The staff were all fantastic and the food was delicious. A lovely friendly atmosphere made it a night to remember. Can't wait to go back and try breakfast. Highly recommended.

Visited last night and had a fab meal and experience. Staff were all very attentive, food was excellent and although we were the only customers left near closing we were not rushed out, the manager took time to assure us we were welcome to stay and finish at our leisure. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Birthday night out with the family in this fantastic restaurant, staff were friendly and so helpful. The food was outstanding, I had the fillet steak and potato gratin, it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Drinks were just as good.
M. M.
Outstanding flavours. Crab starter was particularly fantastic. Incredibly attentive staff, and lovely people watching spot on the street.

A late lunch on Wednesday 25/05/22
A lovely ambiance...
As a Savoy Hotel trained chef...I was a bit disappointed with the food...
But I'm critical of all establishments.
Just a thing....
Calamari seemed to be "bought in"
But tasty nevertheless....
Moules were not fresh ...they sank into their shells....and not plump as they should of been..Oh...Les frites could of been Homemade and probably not frozen... 🤔
Taste of the sauce was good though.
I couldn't fault the service....
Attentive at all times.

We always try to use Cote, wherever we go. As always, they never let us down. Staff are always super friendly and the food is superb. Newcastle was no exception. It ticked all the boxes and Bethan, who looked after us, was a credit to them. Well done. We look forward to returning soon.
S. S.
A very pleasant Bistro, ideally situated in the heart of the city. We enjoyed substantial breakfasts and good coffee all served by charming hosts. Look forward to coming back for more tadty treats.
M. H.
We went for restaurant week and the food was faultless, exceptionally well cooked and high-end. Ordered French onion soup which was thick with roasted onion, the best cooked calamari in breadcrumbs, fresh soft, with crispy breadcrumbs in fresh garlic. Mains of Pork tenderloin with dauphinoise. Just check the quality in the photo. Exceptional cooking. I've been to a lot of places, and this is near the top along with 21 Queen Street. Timing was fast between courses. The only improvement is the front of house staff (waiters), while efficient and effective, did not conduct service with a smile.
J.
Visited here on Christmas eve 2021 and it was absolutely amazing, I couldn't fault anything about it (except the service charge which I'll get to later in the review) the service was equally as good as the food, despite it being Christmas eve and the staff probably wanting an early finish, they all went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. The food was absolutely superb and again, faultless.
However fast forward to February and it was quite a different story. It would appear that this place is inconsistent and a bit hit and miss. We visited last night for my friend's birthday meal and although the starter of Fougasse was just as good as I remembered it being on Christmas eve, the main course of chicken with potato gratin and mushroom sauce was completely different to last time. First of all there was definitely less of it, the piece of chicken was flat and very chargrilled, there was a lot less of the potato gratin and hardly any of the mushroom sauce at all. I remember having it on Christmas eve and saying how delicious it was because it was a decent portion size and the chicken was cooked to perfection but this time around it left a lot to be desired and at £37 per person I don't think that's fair.
The dessert of chocolate mousse was delicious and I'd definitely have it again, the lattes afterwards were also of very good quality but it would seem that maybe they have one amazing chef and one that just gets the job done and last night we must have had the chef that just gets on and does it without any of the finesse of the other chef. I also completely disagree with the 12% service charge added on to everyone's bill, if people wish to leave a tip then that should be their decision based on the experience they've had and not forced upon them. Infact in future I'll be avoiding or even boycotting any restaurant that does this. They know people won't ask for it to be removed because it's awkward and people don't like to ask. I find this to put a negative on the whole experience and unfortunately knowing that I will spend the best part of £40 and I could get an amazing meal one time and a just okay meal the next means that I'm reluctant to visit in future. The standards should be the same all the time no matter who the chef is. The service also wasn't as good as Christmas eve this time around as they weren't very attentive and people kept having to ask for drinks and bills.
E. P.
As always good food & good service, until we left the restaurant not one member of staff acknowledged us, thought this was quite rude. Kind of spoilt the night. Hence 4 stars.
J. D.
Amazing food and outstanding customer service. I have been there many times for brunch, lunch and dinner. One of the best place to eat in Newcastle.
V. V.
Been here for the restaurant week and the deal was good. Food was nice and service was amazing! Very accommodating staff!
B. P.
Had a great experience at Cote this morning. Especially being served by Bethan who was lovely and a pleasure to talk to! A wonderful end to my birthday weekend up north :) thanks Bethan and team!
W. P.
Front house staff welcoming with a nice attitude. Nice ambiance with modern deco. Only blip was the menu choices and portion size could have given a bit more in terms of vegetables with my chicken dish. Must add that the desserts was the highlight.
J. A.
Excellent meal today, celebrating my son and daughters birthdays and mothers day. Polite and obliging staff. Thankyou for a lovely afternoon.
A. L.
Not too bad, but is quite expensive compared to the food I got. Had to wait for a while until getting seated. Lovely staff anyways
D. H.
Very nice restaurant. Well laid out and comfortable. Lovely food and brilliant staff. A very enjoyable visit.
C. E.
Excellent food, great staff and perfect setting.
R. C.
Lovely breakfast. They do a good deal where you get a hot drink and fruit juice with brunch for £10. And I also added on half an av9cado to my order. All good was delish. The scrambled eggs were not healthy but my goodness they were worth it!!
R. S.
Nice food, nice staff.
Very presentable all round.
v. w.
Very good atmosphere, lovely food.
R. B.
Popped in for breakfast I had the crepes and my partner had the bacon sandwich both of which were really great full of flavour and pricing wise I would say this is a place with quite good value for money only cost around £20 for the meals and two teas and a orange juice couldn't remember the name of my server but the service was fab would definitely recommend if you're looking for a good breakfast place that's value for money
J. H.
Really filling breakfast. Very busy restaurant (which is lovely to see) - staff were attentive (and clearly working hard)
M. B.
Nice cafe. Pleasant staff & fairly speedy service (we went in for hot drinks only).
Disappointed that our preferred coffee order -a cafetiere- wasn't available. Also, unimpressed with the automatically added 12.5% tip (because I prefer to decide the tip myself rather than have one "suggested" to me).
So in all, very nearly a 1 star review for the tip, saved to 4 stars by the staff.
(BTW I did pay the 12.5% - I had been working out a 15% tip rounded up!)
r. a.
Best place to have scrambled eggs ever.
Cosy and comfortable restaurant, friendly nice staff.
Gorgeous delicious coffee.
Cream caramel is fantastic.
L. C.
Delicious food and wine. The belly pork was succulent and full of taste.Definitely be back .Friendly unobtrusive staff
L. T.
A lovely meal here after the Great North Run, the highlight of which was the cheery, attentive service by lovely Bethan who should be poached by any company who wants to put the right person in charge of their Customer Relations. Other staff members were very good too.
T. H.
French chic in the heart of newcastle in a superb spot at the Grainger street corner of the central arcade. Stylish interior of warm reds subtle lighting and art deco touches. Lovely staff with the food excellent. Pitch perfect with music kept in the background. A pleasure.
S. S.
Breakfast absolutely AMAZING! Very tasty and made to perfection. Very polite staff with smiles all around. Will definitely come back soon!
P. G.
Lovely place,
Great French Toast and hot chocolate
Definitely worth a visit
J.
Enjoyed a delicious lunch here. My new favourite haunt. Good food, atmosphere and excellent service. If you haven’t had the opportunity to try it add it to your list. A gem in Newcastle.
C. C.
Lovely food, fantastic service and reasonable prices. Full review on Instagram @baitexpectations

Superb food, excellent service. Will be back
M. D.
We love to eat out at Cote, and the Newcastle branch is equally as good as the others we've visited, we will be back for more brunches in future
N. H.
The food was great but the customer service felt a bit rude maybe because I went there around an hour and half before the restaurant closes, but i expected a more heart welcoming attitude.
J. K.
The food was good and moderately priced but the attitude of the waiters was disgraceful. The dish clearing area is between 2 sections of the restaurant and the deliberate noisy handling when clearing dishes etc spoilt the meal and needs to be resolved.
S. M.
Classy and cozy and the same time. The food is very good. The service is excellent. I loved the music, at least while I was there.
T. H.
Lovely restaurant. We were taken there by friends for our wedding anniversary and it was excellent. Food was excellent and could not have complained at all about it. Grear venue
L. L.
Had breakfast here and it was lovely. Food tasted great and service was professional. Will be back to try the evening menu.
T. E.
First time I visited a Côte Brasserie so came in with no expectations. I had the prawn gratin as a starter and although it was tasty the portion size was on the small side. The pork belly I had as my main was very nice. My fiancée was dining from the vegetarian menu and was very happy with there being so many options for her. The service was good and quick, but at one point we felt almost a little bit rushed which was a bit strange as there was plenty of empty tables. Overall it was a nice experience so I'd probably visit again.
L. L.
Great place to people watch, have a nice glass of wine and enjoy a good meal.
O. O.
10 of us ate here today to celebrate a family birthday. Katherine looked after our group very well, and we all noted how impressed we were with her service. Most of us had the set menu, which was delicious. The wait staff were also happy to put some candles in a birthday cake we had brought ourselves, bring it out after the meal, and box up the leftovers. We enjoyed our meal very much. A really pleasant experience.
L. D.
Beautiful cooked breakfast which was amazing! Set menu which was only £10 for a juice, hot drink and hot breakfast! Amazing value! Was under £70 for 6 adults with a small service charge. Excellent value for high quality food. Staff were great too. Very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend!
S. B.
Friendly staff, quick service and nice food. What's not to like?
s. m.
Stunning food. Will definitely return.
G. H.
Amazing quality of food and value for money! Loved it
k. i.
Excellent as ever. Good food and consistently good quality. I have eaten in many different Côtes throughout the country and have never been disappointed.
E. C.
Popped in for a quick breakfast and unfortunately our waitress managed to spill a drink over my wife. Bless her it was first day and she was mortified and her and all the staff helped clear up and move us to a new table. Breakfast was lovely and given to us complimentary which was expected but the gift card was a lovely gesture. Lovely staff, lovely food, lovely restaurant and we will definitely go back. Thanks
M. O.
Not a fan of chain restaurant but this centrally located one is now my favourite 😊.
Very good value for money, tasty dishes, nice ambiance and decor. What else do you need?
The menu set and a la carte change quite often too.
A special distinction to the manager (South East Asian look like young lady) who do an amazing job to make the experience great. Love it 😋
G. K.
My first time in Cote. Good service and quality food.
S. F.
Absolutely superb food and a really lovely restaurant with great staff! Stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant by accident while exploring Newcastle and had one of the best meals I’ve ever had.Amazing value! Was under £70 for 6 adults with a small service charge. Excellent value for high quality food. Staff were great too.
A. D.
Nice food and friendly staff. Nothing extraordinary but the restaurant had a relaxed vibe and I did enjoy myself. Would recommend 👍
C. S.
Visited 24 January 2020 table 6 ladies at 6.30pm. Restaurant Week. Food fantastic. Our waitress was great very friendly helped choosing wine etc. Could not fault her at all. Well done. However one other waitress small with blonde hair in a bun was not so pleasant when serving our food. She was very sarcastic commenting when placing our meals and actually slammed my desert of chocolate mousse down in front of me then quickly walked away. This did not go unnoticed by all of us. Put a bit of a bad vibe on on what was a beautiful meal.

A hidden gem in the heart of Newcastle! We came for a late lunch, starting with two kir royales, which were perfect. I sampled the starter a la carte menu with French onion soup, evoking memories of time spent in France, with gooey cheese, massive croutons, and a rich, broth like onion soup. Followed by chicken liver parfait and another glass of kir royale each. My friend had the sea bass all perfectly cooked and buttery all served by our lovely waitress Maria. To finish off, tarte fine aux pommes, chocolate fondant, baileys coffee x 2. A perfect lunch time treat!
m. a.
The food was amazing mainly the eggs royal and the creme caramel. The service was exceptional Especially Andrew was very helpful and cooperative.
N. I.
Nice French cuisine in the centre of Newcastle. Went as part of restaraunt week to sample the menu and glad we did. Delicious food with a nice range of choices. Prices didnt seem to bad, and staff were friendly and attentive. Good spot for a fancy meal out, would be a great place for a date night.
D. R.
Excellent food excellent service and good value for money.I can recommend the Sea bass with celeriac and tomato beurre blanc sauce, the Chick pea vegetarian dish was also very very good.We had Tarte aux pommel with ice cream for dessert which was divine. We were waited on by Andrew who was brilliant. We always enjoy our visits to Cote as the staff always look after you so well.Thank you for a lovely lunch.
J. B.
As the name implies, this is a restaurant serving french cuisine. For a chain restaurant the food is very good. I would have no hesitation in returning. Good quality ingredients freshly cooked. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. The surroundings were pleasant. I understand they have a lunch specials menu that changes on a regular basis.
P. M.
My first visit to this restaurant. I was impressed with the quality of the food. I will definitely be returning. Covid restriction evident and applied.
K. S.
Great food and good service
B. T.
This was our first visit to a Cote brasserie. We hadn't booked & it looked busy but we were greeted with a smile & offered a choice of tables. During our visit all the staff were friendly and efficient.
We both chose different options from the 3 course lunch menu, which is £13.50 or £15.50 if you have the minute steak & enjoyed them all.
The food is good value, the drinks are the usual restaurant price level & the service is good.
P. M.
Food very good. Service excellent. However chose £10.95 lunch menu but this didn't include any veg. Paid £2.90 for 3 baby carrots. Also not really happy about 12.50 percent service charge. Ended up being an expensive lunch.
J. O.
This is our second visit to this fabulous resturant. I love it because it oozes specialness and you can really dress up and feel special there or go laid back and relaxed. We went on speck and were luck enough to get a table. Our first choice was a starter and main off the special menu, however this was not to be as it was sold out. We got our second choice and I'm so glad we did. The food was amazing, lamb chops cooked to order and spot on. The staff here are great, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and perfectly support the sophisticated but relaxed vibe of this lovely restaurant. We'll done guys.
M. N.
Lovy atmosphere. Staff attentive and friendly. Food lovely. Great wine list.
J. W.
Huge fans of this Cote - feels like a small independent - staff attentive. Great price. The sort menu is super value
a. a.
With a party of 10 ex-colleagues we had our first experience of the restaurant. Located in the city centre we had pre-ordered our meals from 3 different menus. They had set up a separate area. We were very impressed by the staff. They were friendly, efficient and welcoming. The food was first class and they attended to the refilling of glasses quickly & discreetly. A most impressive effort & much appreciated by everyone
N. B.
This authentic French style bistro offers very good quality food and service at a reasonable price.
Good choice on the menu and very good wine list. Early evening offer is good value.
Extras, like bread and vegetables, can quickly add to the cost of the meal though.
Staff are very friendly and professional.
L. M.
Was here in December last year with my sister on our day visit to Newcastle. Can’t say just how proud I am overall. Friendly customer service, delicious breakfast, definitely would recommend this place to others. This place will definitely give you your fuel for the day. So happy overall.
D. M.
First class food and service,at a great price, I especially enjoyed the French black pudding!
B. K.
Loved the food all 3 courses staff helpful and friendly
K. T.
Enjoyable but quite standard fare on the set menu. Reasonably priced though. Service friendly but quite slow considering it was a Monday evening and not busy. Very good range of gluten free options however so worth considering if this is a requirement. Would like to try the a la carte menu to compare.
c. r.
What an amazing experience. food was great and the staff were fantastic. Will defiantly be coming back.
J. H.
Been here a few times now. Such a great place. Always very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. Great for any occasion. Offer a gluten free menu. Lovely staff. Will be back xx
D. W.
This coffee shop was a lovely place to be. The staff were absolutely delightful. The coffee was lovely and the other items that were on offer looked gorgeous. Unfortunately my visit was only a short visit to Cote Brasserie but next time I visit I really hope to stay longer and enjoy the hospitality that was on offer. Overall a very pleasant visit
S. P.
Second visit and was worried it wouldnt be as good as last time but its every bit as good. Amazing food, great wine, friendly and attentive staff and great decor. Absolutely becoming a regular
G.
We’ve been here for dinner and breakfast and loved both - fave out of the two definitely breakfast. They do a deal where you get food, coffee and a juice that is great value for money. Service is always quick, very relaxed atmosphere, brilliantly clean! Will return.
t. 3.
Fillet steak was badly burned - tasted bitter on the outside.
K. S.
The quality of the food is amazing, very good value for money!
C. E.
Lunch time special menu excellent value for money with authentic, tasty French food. Very friendly staff with a nice atmosphere. Not sure I'd choose here for a romantic dinner for two, but that's probably more to do with not being a big fan of chain restaurants then a fault with the atmosphere or food! For a nice relaxing lunch while shopping though, I'd definitely return.
L. T.
Loved this place. The service was great, very friendly, knowledgeable staff and great tasting food.
m. e.
Great to be back after nearly 6 months. Staff and food as great as ever. A bit of normality in these crazy times. Well done Cotè of Newcastle upon Tyne. You have kept your high standards. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
S. A.
Sea bass and the onion soup are so tasty....seafood stew was amazing ....recommended
T. B.
Really nice place, interesting menu, unfortunately most of the food served was cold. French onion soup was delicious, but hadn't been warmed through. Two main courses sent back to be reheated which was disappointing.
C. R.
Excellent service. Great choice from lunchtime specials menu, and a la carte offers an even better selection. Food quality - top notch!! Superb value for money. Only disappointment was the lack of choice in gins - only 2!!!
I. &. G. Y.
Excellent service, quality food and a relaxed atmosphere. Been 3 times now and never disappointed.
J. L.
Very nice. We had the NYE three course menu but the mains were a bit too salty. The puddings and starters were great however. Good service too
I. P.
Good value pre-dinner menu £11.95 for 2 courses. Only catch is that the main doesn't include potatoes, vegetables or salad. So the meal increases to around £17.95. Food quality is good.
S. l.
Two very satisfied diners, Breton fish stew which is always a winner and tried for the first time the lamb shank, will definitely be having it again, good service as well. Only thing missing is draft lager but i know this isn't a feature of any Cote restaurant
I. F.
Food was good - service a little slow at bringing the bill, and they add a 12.5% service charge automatically which I'm not keen on (the customer should be able to freely decide if it's worthy of a tip or not). The tables can be a little small too.
B. M.
Lovely food although the fish pie was only pub grub. However the Breton chicken, Breton fish stew, lamb rump and chacuterie starter were great. Staff were friendly and efficient.
I. W.
I am usually suspicious of chain restaurants. Cote Brasserie has restored my faith. Good food, good service, attention to detail and a pleasant old world charm all went to provide an excellent dining experience.
d. p.
i like my full english and this place doesnot disappoint . best ive had for a long time . great staff great service recommended
A. W.
Reasonably priced
Courteous staff
Excellent service
Good food
Clean premises
Can't ask for anything better.
One thing I missed saying was that the Head Waiter is quite knowledgeable about the local area places to see and places to walk.
Have a coffee and ask him.
O. C.
Food is very good as are the staff. Paid more than I normally would for a similar meal, but it was worth it. Surroundings and comfort were good as was the service. I commend this bistro.
G. S.
Fantastic food, can heartily recommend the minute steak, and the crème caramel was to die for. Lovely staff, classy decor and impressive ladies washroom. Will definitely go back for many visits.
K. B.
Nice relaxed atmosphere for an early breakfast. Great attentive staff, good breakfast selection and good quality to boot. Toilets are immaculate. Give the breakfast a go, you won't regret it.
R. C.
What a find last time I was here it was a bank, it's now a really good restaurant with an excellent choice and all at a reasonable price. Service was top notch and whilst we were the last to leave we were never pressured into hurrying up. Will be back!
A. K.
Fairly quiet afternoon at Côte with around six tables eating at 4pm.
We opted for the Pissaladière Anchovy as an appetiser with the featured Gin St Germain cocktails. Cocktail tasted good, but a chilled glass would’ve been appreciated as it was a bit warm when it arrived.
Starters were Mackerel Rillettes and Tomates Breton both tasty and a good selection of tomatoes.
Mains we opted half the Breton chicken which came with Frites and the grilled salmon which came with ratatouille; I’m not a fan of ratatouille at all but thought I’d give this a try and it was utterly delicious.
Desserts were ice cream with chocolate sauce and the July special of Strawberry Pavlova. I was expecting the Pavlova to be a slice from a larger dessert, but this came in a sundae glass with strawberries, individual meringues, fruit coulis and loads of cream. It’s was gorgeous!
My only criticism here is the time between Courses, given the fact that the place was serving so few tables at various stages of meals. I’d worry what it was like when it was full.
M. E.
We have had fabulous times at Côte Newcastle. Great food, atmosphere and fabulous staff. So sad I have to wait until December for my next experience.
D. P.
Excellent lunch menu and metoer lager. The onion soup with cheese is amazing. If the theatre is on however you'll need to book a table. Very tres bon!!!!

C. 0.
Fabulous festive feast. Service 100% from all the team today. Thank you for making today special. Food well cooked and presented. A great range of menus this month.
D. K.
Pretty consitent food for the most part, not quite as nice as last time I went. They seem to have done away with side plates for bread. And when you buy bread for the table you get the thinnest pieces possible by hand and it is not cheap, wouldn't bother with the bread.
P. R.
Have to say lovely food and decent service, but pricey especially when they add up to 18% gratuity for a party above 8 people. Makes you feel ripped off at the end of a nice meal.
C. R. L.
Amazing place can’t wait to bring all my friends and family here 5 stars across the board everything was perfect. Food service atmosphere prices wines coffee ... just everything is perfect.
P. V.
Excellent food, great service, very pleasant atmosphere & decor.
Recommended.
R. R.
Excellent service, good food at very good value i.e. £10.95 each for two courses. Wine was nice but, overpriced at £23.50 a bottle. Definitely on the go back to list.
S. R.
Large central French restaurant in Newcastle which is housed in a former bank building open for lunches and in the evening Varied menu but priced at bit on the high side Dessert for example are £6 each Lunchtime offers are 2 courses for £12 drinks and wine extra per person Quality high however
R. S.
The service is exemplary and the Full English is superb.
A. E.
Love this place, quality if food for the price is great with attentive staff. Would highly recommend...
D. S.
Fantastic food and lovely staff . Thank you Bethan Maria and Calvin.

I like Cote Brasserie it's a bit different. Although I must admit if you go downstairs to the toilets it's like something out of Alice in wonderland. There is so many doors. It's the sort of thing where you feel if you open a door the mad hatter will be behind it.
T. B.
Food all 3 courses were just perfect! Service and welcome too. Definitely recommend! Can't wait to go back!
M. H. H.
