Reviews of Dosa Kitchen
P. E.
A great meal. Seated quickly, drinks order taken and fulfilled quickly. No problem waiting for us to decide on our food order. The food took a little while to come but not excessive and was entirely worth the wait. We just chose range of Tiffin/starters which was perfect.
The food was delicious, when they say spicy they mean spicy.
The service was efficient, unobtrusive and polite.
All in we had a good meal, a glass of wine and three lassis for £50. Great value. Be aware that the entrance is not on Osbourne Road but in the courtyard behind.
A. B.
Masala dosa, Mango lassi and filter coffee - excellent.
Meen Veruval, Puri Masala, DK special uttapam, badam lassi - average
Staffs are very good. Clean and decent decor.
S. T.
I've been wanting to go here for so long. Been on new year's eve. We ordered Masala Dosa, Paneer Dosa and Kothu Parotta. Paneer dosa was spicy for my daughter as she likes Cheese Dosa. Loved my Masala Dosa , Sambhar and additional ones. Mango lassi and Kulfi was nice.
B. H.
A genuinely excellent experience. High praise to the friendly and efficient staff, attentive without being pushy.
As for the food it was superb. Indian Street food done right. The Dosa was fluffy and light. The pepper and chicken was naughty without being insolent.
The soft drinks were freshly made and tasted light and refreshing.
Cannot wait until my next trip there
A. K. A.
Ordered masala dosa and chicken biriyani as take away. After a 15 minutes waits received a well presented and packed takeaway. Walked 1 mile to my accommodation in rain and the meal was very warm in the container.
Great authentic taste, generous portion and plenty of sides (sambar and chutney etc)
K. B.
Always a wonderful experience. The food is too good to say no to this place. Love the masala dosa, chicken chettinad and mango lassi. I have been here thrice in a month now. Only if I got some loyalty points 😜. But, never say no to dosa is something I can say for now!
M. D.
The meat dishes are fresh and very tasty. The Dosas are amazing. Very nice restaurant in a great location. All the staff are delightful.
A. R.
The dosas were excellent and crispy, and the potato masala the perfect consistency. The Sunday sappad (Thalia) provided some fabulous flavours for my husband's meal. My toddler loved the dosas too!!
M. A.
We came here because our usual place was full. The service was great, the staff were very friendly. The menu isn't as big as what you'd expect from a takeaway Indian, but the food was amazing, great flavours and generous portions. We will definitely return
G. T.
Been a patron of Dosa Kitchen for over a year. I can count on them to offer a friendly service and super authentic South Indian food. Highly recommend their mango lassi, chicken biriyani, their selection of dosas and Sunday Saapad
K. W.
Masala dosa, chicken tuk tuk, and lamb ishtoo (a note to myself: definitely have coconut rice with this dish) All great!
Mango lassi was good too!
E. B.
Came here for the Sunday special and it was absolutely fantastic. There was more than enough food, with dishes and dosas replenished on request. I have allergies to gluten, dairy and egg and this was no issue - they have gluten free and vegan versions of the menu, and were happy to mix and match to accommodate.
M. S.
If you want fantastic, flavoursome authentic South Indian food this is the place to go!...... So good. Wish I lived in Newcastle, but was fortunate enough to visit while on a working/business trip
C. T.
Very professional when dealing with a family members food allergy. I had emailed them previous to booking to check that it could be catered for. The staff and chefs went above and beyond to provide a meal ( the Sunday Sapad) which was chilli free. As always the food was amazing ,which was for Mother’s Day , and the staff were so accommodating and lovely. An all round impressive experience and we will be back again as a family.
O. A.
Quality food, but a tad pricey. Great atmosphere (sat outdoors) however, the service let us down - spent 2hrs there altogether (granted we went on a Saturday evening) all meals/drinks took a while to arrive as did the Bill! Should try it, but there are better alternatives locally.
R. R.
Perfect traditional Indian taste, thank God I finally found something close to me. Food and ambience are top notch.
Loved the service and food. Especially, Prawn varuval starter. Huge fan of sea food dishes.
A. R.
Name is Dosa Kitchen, but unfortunately none of the dosa were available when we visited. We tried chicken biryani, it was a bit expensive for the quantity but the taste was really good. It came just above 40£ for 2 biryani, 1 chicken lollipops, 1 chicken masala, and 1 paratha. Bit expensive for the quantity but definitely worth for the taste and quality. Next time I would try dosa varieties.
P. R.
Beautiful authentic South Indian food. Biggest and best dosas I've had in the UK. They serve their own Pilsner which was brewed specially by Wylam and it's an excellent accompaniment to the meal. Everything we got was exploding with depth of flavour and the staff were helpful and really friendly.
H. K. D.
It’s fabulous, I had Thali and it’s authentic. Kudos to the team
A. M.
The food was authentic and can’t remember any soy that Indian place which tasted better than this… loved it
The quantity was a bit less though :)
N. A.
Great experience here with amazing flavours and lovely presentation
We had the lamb nilgiri and prawn curry both jam packed with flavour. The creamy praen curry is really unique and the prawns were perfectly cooked and juicy. The dosas were lovely and the accompaniments were again full of flavour. Personally, next time instead of getting a paneer or egg dosa (these fillings were hints of flavour really) I would get potato masala in a plain dosa instead.
The mango and almond lassis were delicious and well presented
Only criticisms are that there could be a few more heaters in the tent and the portions of curries and sundries could be more generous for the price paid.
S. J.
Great value and seemingly authentic Indian Street style food, certainly many unusual dishes with an emphasis on different types of bread. Friendly helpful staff and a sparse but comfortable feel.
S. C. S.
I had the Sunday non vegetarian saapad....all the dishes included in it wer very tasty and good quality. I definitely recommend and will surely go again.Keep up the good work.
L. Z.
Best South Indian food in Newcastle. Wish they have Sunday sapaad on the menu everyday.
D. C.
Food was very good here, really crispy dosa, fantastic chicken curry. Prices quite reasonable as well. The Sunday 'sapaad' (like a thaali) is worth trying to get a sample of many different dishes.
S. M.
Visited this place on a good Sunday afternoon was very eager to try their non veg sapad(meal). Being from South India I dono what to expect from a South Indian restaurant at Newcastle.I have tried many Indian restaurants in UK most of them doesn't serve authentic Indian food only handful of them do. But trust me I felt the sapad which I had here is definitely authentic it's TamilNadu on a plate. I just felt home when I ate that meal. Definitely the best Indian meal I had in UK.
Staffs were friendly, had a little chat with chef Sudarshan really a good guy I love the fact that he sticked to his roots.
S. K.
The best way to turn up your appetizing sense and taste buds. All traditional south indian foods and tastes just like our native.
M. M.
First time visit since opened at Jesmond. The ambiance is not good ,no decor, when you enter it smells old and damp. Starters are waste, very small quantities. The staff were not looking enthusiastic they rather looked sad and depressed. Main meal was good.
M. M.
If you are looking for authentic Indian food at a classic Indian restaurant, well, Dosa kitchen is the perfect place. Sambar vada, DK's special and coffee martini - mustttt try 😍
B. C.
Food was delicious, but not used to eating a curry without rice. Vegan options were plentiful and delicious too. A huge Dosa (crepe) with a choice of fillings was used to mop up the curry and various dips. Staff were helpful, and explained anything we were unsure about. Mango lassi was really refreshing. Prices mid range and well worth it. Will definitely be going back soon.
E. C.
First time visiting and Dosa didnt disappointment! Food was excellent- we shared chicken and prawn starters, and a prawn curry. Each had a dosa, I had the cheese which was excellent. We went back for a 2nd dosa! And the wine was perfectly matched, nika tiki Sauv Blanc with spice is just wow!!
R. S.
First time in and love the place,a cozy place and warmed up my cravings for dosas.Tried the masala dosa and the ghee roast which was quiet good :)
A. A. M.
Dosa is good and tasty but I’m upset with medhu wada served only two which is in small size. I think they need to open one branch in westgate road, Arthur hills benwell because lot of Indian students stays at these places definitely sales will go 10x times .
s. a.
Amazing. Can only give 5 stars but would give more! Food is unique, delicious and flavorsome. Will be going again to try something new.
S. C.
Delicious and fun format for South Asian dining. The selection provided was very nice and tasted amazing, a mix of spicy, fragrant and rich dishes. The staff were lovely as well; the chef came out to ask us how things were (it was great, of course!) I cannot recommend coming here enough!
S. J.
Best south indian food. Loved the food and ambience
F. S.
A lovely Indian restaurant serving great Indian food in a nice relaxed atmosphere.
A. D.
Have been twice now, and has been amazing both times. I haven't found dosa as good anywhere else in newcastle, nice and quiet on a weekdays evening for a celebratory dinner. Nice service and tasty food, will be back again at some point!
S. R.
Wonderful food. But the food amount is little less for the price of the item. And the dosa batter could have been fresh. Overall all the dishes were really good. Prices could have been less for some of the items.
S. R.
Worth for the price on Sundays afternoon, Go for Thali order and it’s impossible to get a table evenings so better book in advance.
A. K.
Good south Indian restaurant at Newcastle.
Nice ambience and good service.
Had a good time and tasty food.
Thanks to Janani and team.
J. K. D.
Authentic south Indian food. Enjoyed every bit of it. Worth a 5 star rating for their food and service. Friendly and welcoming staff. We had 3 different types of dosas, medhu vada, sambar vada and idli and special uthapam. All these items were up to the mark. Soft idlis, crispy vada and pure ghee dosa. Couldn't decide which one tops the list. Will definitely revisit whenever possible. I wish they had more dessert options and the extended the timings as well.
T. K.
Hidden away from prowling eyes, this south Indian eatery had an old-world look about it. We had an onion- tomato utappa and a regular masala dosa. As accompaniment, I had a "Muru", a yoghurt based drink with added spices.

Having dosa was an amazing experience at this place took me back to the days having dosa and chutney with my family around.
Would 10/10 come back in here, feels like home :))
A. S.
Tried takeaway from Uber eats..its so good and feels exactly as home taste..I will definitely suggest this
U. M.
I love dosa kitchen enough to drive 45 miles from Stockton to NewCastle (even with the A19 closures at night😆-because I’m such a passionate lover of good food and there’s no dosa places in Stockton).
Their food is always high quality and delicious and consequently the place is always bustling - so don’t forget to make reservations! My favourite here is Ghee dosa and Kumbakonam degree coffee.
I had to take one star off as the waiter service here needs improvement- a couple of times I’ve been served wrong orders, some items missed to be served and few times they’ve been a bit rude. Also, parking here is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
G. B.
Fantastic. In the city ahead of the Great North Run, on my own, and struggling to find anywhere to eat. Found this wonderful place online, booked electronically and made the short walk to Jesmond. Lovely fresh modern South Indian restaurant, love the idea of metal bin lids as light shades. Efficient service and really lovely food.
M. K.
Authentic South Indian food. Loved it ❤️. Best destination for dosa lover's
J. W.
Staying locally for work. Was recommended. Good food not the usual bog standard indian menu. Busy even mid week but plenty of tables. Some excellent new flavours to me 100%
S. S.
Dosa Kitchen serves authentic South Indian food, which is not commonly available in this part of the country and definitely not at the quality maintained by DK. The cuisine itself is very different from the commonly understood Indian takeaway/food and DK's food is an excellent example of the variety of the Indian food palate. DK serves a range of vegetarian (and non-vegetarian) options, in a simple yet effective menu. The staff and the chef are always friendly and this restaurant definitely lives up to the ambiance standards set by the ever popular Osborne Road.
P. H.
Yummy food as specially masala dosa 👌staff members are very kind and services are amazing.. I love to visit again and again. 👍
A. E. T.
Very nice food and cosy place
If you like South Asian Indian food... This hidden gem is worth it
R. G.
Absolutely good food and reasonable price. Loved the taste.
a. k.
I love this place, I order from here almost every week. Best Dosa I ever tired, can’t recommend it enough.
A. B.
We have been here before and always liked it. The food was overly hot this time unfortunately. My child who is always willing to go there and ear sambhar and plain dosa never complained of hot food before. But this time he just didn't eat the food. I gave feedback to staff tonight who were friendly and conveyed the message to the chef. We will give it another go in some time and hopefully it will be back to food that is not too hot. In fact they should give option to choose how hot you want it to be. Hot / mild. At least for sambhar. If next time is as hot as today then that will be our last visit.
J. T.
I've not had the pleasure of eating in the restaurant yet, but I've caught Dosa at the Jesmond market a few times and have never been disappointed. Their food is the real deal and boasts vibrant South Indian flavours. The staff are always really friendly and are always happy to chat. Would recommend visiting either the restaurant or one of their stalls at local food markets if you're in the mood for something authentic and filling.
G. S. P.
Excellent food, service and ambience as always.. The go to place if you are looking for authentic South Indian cuisine in and around Newcastle upon Tyne.
R. A.
Food is delicious south Indian authentic. Doesn't get wrong with idli and dosa, parathas are excellent, meat is flavoured and well cooked. Always gets order wrong , sometimes food served cold.
A. C.
Good authentic South Indian food. Definite to try when in New Castle
D. S.
Simply fantastic food.
Amazing quick service.
G. I.
Very nice ambience, and a polite staff. The food was awesome and being a vegetarian, it is usually difficult for me to find the choices in the menu. However, DK offers amazing choices on vegetarian food, which satisfied my palette and appetite. Would definitely recommend the canteen for a good lunch or an evening supper.
L. T.
Without doubt the best Indian food in Newcastle. And not only that but South Indian. Delicious food. We usually eat in the restuarant (which we love) but this time had a takeaway. How wonderful to have dosa's in our own kitchen. We also had a range of other paneer and cauliflower and other dishes.
A. R.
We visited Dosa Kitchen while Govt's "50% eat in to help out" discount was available. Food was tasty and with 50% discount, it was very reasonably priced. But even though many tables were empty, service was too slow. Waiters were friendly. I would advise Dosa Kitchen to make waiters visible on upper floor, if someone wants to order anything extra after the original order.
We had to wait Kulfi dessert for nearly 20 minutes.
But in spite of delays in service, food is good and I can recommend Dosa Kitchen without hesitation.
S. G.
A very delicious meal last night at our friend's leaving party at The Biscuit Factory catered for by you.
Thank you so much. Excellent tasty food as ever.
D. V.
Amazing and authentic South Indian cuisine - the best I've had in the UK (and I've had quite a few!). The staff are lovely and we have loved coming back time and again knowing that we are in very capable hands! The menu is also very friendly for those with dietary requirements/allergies....
I highly recommend Dosa Kitchen!
M. P.
Some really good south Indian food!
B. W.
My daughter is a disa convert after a single fabulous meal at Dosa Kitchen. Made much easier by helpful staff, who assisted with the selection of dishes that complemented each other. Hint - consider having rice OR a dosa unless you have a monster appetite or have starved all day! Give it a go!
S. c.
Nice place for family party and meetings..staff cares about your experience👍 Ms komali she served when we visited with my family friends😍.The food is excellent 😊
S. L.
Dosa Kitchen just really stands out.... it is head & shoulders above all the myriad of other run of the mill Indian restaurants/takeaways in the area. Their South Indian street food style is just simply first class. A wide range of beautifully cooked curries with a real depth and complexity of spice, all mopped up with their brilliant, chewy, tangy dosa (South Indian style pancake).
Whether you visit their restaurant in Jesmond (when allowed to reopen) or just order in using their delivery/takeaway service, I can guarantee you will be blown away!.....Brilliant!!! 👍😁😋
J. v. (.
I wouldn't say these as the most authentic south india dosas. But these the best I have seen so far in Northeast. A great place for dosa lovers and for those who what to try south indian dishes.
D. C.
Outside of matunga ( Bombay) , the only place where the preparations and taste is as original as it gets. Excellent dosas crisp and big, the filter coffee was original matunga ( mumba) type. Then
podhi dosa was too good.
J. B.
Amazing but pricey if u have a stomach
N. L.
Really delicious curry and a new experience eating dosa (a great experience!). The food was fantastic and the service too. At the end of the meal we had the chance to chat to the chef who told us about the history/origins of Dosa and how they’re made- really great.
I’d recommend the Dosa with the egg on (trust me!) and add the firecracker mix. The lamb curry to match it was delicious!
A. G.
Excellent menu and authentic taste. Dosas are a must try. Definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for South Indian food.
r. t.
Have been coming here for a few years (including in their previous location) and the food has always been excellent. Different to what many Brits think of by 'Indian' food but all the better for it. Great range of options for vegetarians and vegans, too.
s. k.
Available Different types of Indian breakfast and mainly famous for dosa(south indian famous breakfast meal) .
Need to improve customer service and taking care of customers.
A. S.
Have been before and was amazing, service, food amd drinks and great atmosphere! Had a similarly great experience tonight, their valentines menu was amazing and great value for money! They went above and beyond to accommodate for my dairy allergy and the portions were extremely sizeable! Wonderful service once again and lovely drinks too. Will be back again soon for sure!
N. H.
Great dosa. Excellent service. We will be back.
V. P.
Authentic South Indian food. But the quantity for the price is not worth it.
K. S.
Visited this place for the first time and the food was great. My friends had treated me for a meal and it’s lovely.
A. K.
Excellent food and very courteous staff. Impressed by the head chef Sudarshan visiting every table enquiring if everything was okay.
Would definitely visit again.
S. P.
Vising NC from Wakefield. Best South Indian food we've had in a while. Delicious starters, perfect main course and finished off with Kulfi (home made ice creams). Must visit.
M. R.
Delicious authentic South Indian food. Go in through the back - don't be fooled if it looks closed from Osborne road! Vegan, vegetarian and meat-eater friendly. Friendly service and a nice setting too
A. S.
We discovered this gem just a few weeks back and have already been back 3 times. The dosas are delicious and we've twice had starters from the daily specials and they were phenomenal. The decor is tasteful and the music pleasant. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!!
V. G.
Authentic south indian tastes but need to have a booking prior to step in.
Very good staff.
One should maintain the pace of patience till you get your food.
Not a stomach full of quantity though excellent quality.
S. C.
Loved this place pleasantly surprised, I don't normally do Indians but I feel this is the best Indians I've had in Newcastle. Not even joking. Even the experience is not your normal Indian food the Dosas are amazing it's like recieving a huge pizza
R. G.
Love the dosa and the staff is well informed and aware of the menu and the food. Reasonable price, but would recommend going there on Sundays because you only get additional dosa and sambhar for free with the existing meal, other days additional dosa just on its own without any of the sauces is equivalent to full dosa (£4.50ish) which is ashame!
C. H.
Food was great and seemed very authentic, we tried 6 different small plates which were all excellent
s. o.
Really nice food, a bit different to a lot of restaurants nearby and seemingly more authentic.
Good selection and everything looked and smelt lovely.
Think for the price I expected a slightly bigger portion of things
G. S.
This restaurant is quite simply the breath the breath of fresh air that Newcastle has been waiting for for many years. The Food is served in a light modern environment, with flavours, appearance, textures and aromas all exquisite. In my opinion there is no finer Asian restaurant in the North of England. Six stars !
M. R.
A very good dosa place in Newcastle. The Uttapam and dosa with salmon curry were really good. I was amazed that they even had kuzhi panniyaram. The starters chicken 65 and gobi 65 were also good and spicy. Very friendly staff. A very pleasant environment for a family dinner.
A. F.
Dosa Kitchen is a great - and long overdue! - addition to Newcastle's thriving restaurant scene. You can tell the owners have spent a lot of time and effort on the menus, especially the delicious Sunday Sapaad. Highly recommended.
m. s.
Best dosa and Indian food in Newcastle
R. P.
All the food is delicious. All the ingredients are fresh. It is very clear that the chef is passionate about food. They have a very good wine list. I have been multiple times and will continue to go back.
P. D. P.
Indian food is so very varied depending on the region. However people outside India might be only aware of North Indian food which is very different from south Indian food.
Dosa kitchen is the best south Indian restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne. Excellent food - DK special utthappam (savoury pancake) is my favourite. Idly (steamed rice pudding) is very good as well.
Conveniently located near Jesmond and moderate on price and Very good in service and nice in ambience (enjoy the south Indian classical music). Approach to the restaurant is not on the main road.
A. S.
Authentic south indian food as good as back home. People who love the cliche indian takeaways should give it a try for an authentic south indian food experience
I. P.
Fantabulosa Dosa! Lovely welcome, service and tasty affordable food. Great atmosphere and covid safe. We'll go back.
B. B. T. P.
Delicious authentic South Indian food. Service people are very helpful and welcoming. “Sunday saapad” platters are value for money. Well worth to treat yourself on sundays.
A. K.
Had Masala Dosa there and it was close to one of the best Dosas that I have had in South India
p. k.
Fantastic and authentic South Indian food 👌
j. j.
Awesome food served with love ❤️ The food just made us feel that we're in India..... Amazing flavours 🙂
V. G.
Great food and atmosphere. Very friendly staff.
F. C.
Lovely staff
Authentic South Indian cuisine
Car park was great as parking in Jesmond is a nightmare
Delicious chilli paneer & lassi
We were disappointed in the Dosa, wasn't to our taste unfortunately and was a bit too greasy.
Would try again though.
A. D.
Had the Sunday sapaad menu. Fabulous food. Waiters always willing to talk through the menu. No hurry to finish and get you out. Lovely food with plenty of different dishes to try.
D. G.
The experience is subjective but the staff more than make up for it. Maybe it's too different from the classic curry house, it was for our kids who struggled without nans and poppadoms. Recommended for the experience and excellent service.
A. C.
Delicious food and a bit different to the usual Indian restaurant menu, which was a nice change. Excellent staff. We had a lovely evening.
I. A.
Amazing food, plenty of options for all kinds of diets and so tasty! Great service and nice seating area
j. m.
Amazing food and chilled out atmosphere. A taste of South India in Newcastle🥰
P. M.
Absolutely great food....they are maintaining a great authenticity of South Indian food....loved being there and even made me feel like home...will highly recommend to people to be there!!!
T. S.
Best South Indian food in Newcastle. Very friendly staff and some really different choices.
M. N.
Authentic awesome south Indian food
H. N.
Gem of a place, nice and relaxed and great Dosas
S. B.
Nice enough, food is quite interesting but nothing exciting. Rather expensive I thought. Atmosphere is a bit austere and I don't like having to climb stairs to get there. Staff are pleasant.
C. D.
Superb tasts like south Indian
J. L.
Given the low prices I was expecting a fast food type outlet but was surprised that it’s a full service nice restaurant with a full bar. Food was wonderful. Had veg curry, idli, vada and of course dosas. Everything was properly spiced and freshly made. Best dosa I’ve had in a long long time. Really happy I came and thanks for the good service.
R. C.
I was worried the Sunday Sapaad wasn't going to be nearly enough. I hadn't realised that the 'main sides' would be in pickle pots so was concerned.
After requesting an extra dosa and rice and trying out all the different pots, my intention to ask for a refill of my favourites was abandoned because I was stuffed.
I enjoyed the food a great deal and enjoyed having lots of small things to try and the dosas are delicious.
V. K.
Casual ambience, polite staff, and above all- authentic South Indian food...
S. T.
Delicious and authentic South Indian food. Good and fast service. Very humble staff. Definitely recommended. 👍. Don't forget to have malai kulfi dessert. 😊
M. C.
Stunning food, worth the money. A little hard to find and perhaps that is why there were not too many people there. Friendly and attentive staff; they made sure everyone was happy but didn't pester as we were eating.
N. I.
Amazing food. Service was a little slow but it wasn't a big deal. Would highly recommend.
J. M. F.
Sizzling totally delicious different and completely addictive! Great value and lovely staff. What more do we need!?
P. R.
My first visit and the food is truly amazing. Each bite of the Sunday Sapaad bought a smile of happiness!! I will be a regular visitor.
V. P. L.
Best south Indian food items (Tamil Nadu style)
s. g.
Great South Indian food. It is great to find somewhere making an alternative to the Bangladeshi menu we are all familiar with, this is delicious and different.
R. S.
I can't praise this place enough. Absolute lovely food. And their service is really good. Staff are super nice. Will definitely recommend.
A. M.
The food has been superb in every time. Must have good in Newcastle!
N. P.
Excellent food, reasonably priced. Decor a little spartan, but at the end of the day, we go for the food. Best south Indian food in Newcastle.
J. W.
Lovely dining experience and brilliant food all very reasonably priced
A. U.
Traditional South Indian food, not the sort you'll get in your normal Indian restaurant. Well worth a visit. Great food, great staff!
N. J.
One can get fine south indian dishes option here..especially chutneys..were awesome..reasonable price..I went there on Onam festival and was really getting festive vibes..the owner or manager was very nice..he offered rice pudding to us and it turned out to be a bonus dish for us..overall nice experience..
C. D.
Literally the best south indian food ive ever had.lovely bright restraunt and wonderfully friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone
m. I. l. f. m.
The Sunday special was ok, had different thing to taste if your not sure what you like. But just a little bit salty. Definitely need a beer to wash it all down.
D. *.
Brilliant dosas and chicken 65 was great, couple pieces bit tough but apart from that amazing and authentic ( I'm from Bangladesh so I'd know :) )
N. O.
Amazing food and really nice atmosphere. First visit in two years. Shouldn't have waited this long!
P. A. W.
Amazing South Indian cuisine with delectable vegan and vegetarian options. If you’re driving in - go through the back alley for parking and main entrance.
A. T.
We had a wonderful experience eating there.. we were a group of 15 ppl.. adults.. seniors and kids.. everyone relished the food.. Wonderful ambience.. must visit when in Newcastle..
P. C.
Fabulous food eaten with great company. A very popular place, given the number of diners and the number of eat out meals going out the door.
W.
Excellent South Indian food - good for sharing - not just curry - would recommend looking at their menu to get an idea of the food
S. J.
Good food and ambience! Very fairly priced. The DK special egg dosa is really good to have! The mango kulfi was amazing!
S. P.
Awesome food, super friendly staff - reserve your place during weekend nights, car park for 5-6 cars available just below restaurant
S. H.
THE best place to eat!!! 5***** every visit we make.
s. h.
Very good atmosphere and good service will go again
M. B.
Without a doubt the best Indian food in Newcastle. Fabulous service, interesting menu and seriously tasty.
B. S.
Unique, tasty and very good value. Simply the best for South Indian cuisine.
W. M.
Great food, wonderful staff can't recommend highly enough
a. k.
Been here on Sunday for their sapad which is like a Indian Thali good menu the dosa here may be the best I had in Newcastle.
K. V.
Food is good, ambiance average and the manager rude.
S. P.
Dosa excellent but will only have those next time.
