O. C.As expected from the Hard Rock the atmosphere was booming! It's always fun to look at all the memorabilia each location has on display. The staff at Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle are very friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and average priced for the quality and taste i love how they keep the American ways of free refills on soft drinks. Our bill came to £80 and we tipped £10 for such brilliant service
m. f.Easily got a table but it was still busy enough to have a little atmosphere. Good service with staff willing to chat, which was welcome as I was dining alone. I tried the local burger which I like to do at every Hard Rock I visit. The merchandise area is fairly small but has enough options to keep most visitors happy I expect. A short walk to the Millennium Bridge to burn off a few calories afterwards.
S. C.Came in here for a birthday meal with wife and our kids. Had booked a table for 2 online, but it was nearly 20 past by the time we got it. That was after a 15 minute wait for drinks at the bar
Service was pedestrian, although our server was certainly friendly and helpful. Once the food arrived, the fries were hot enough to cause third degree burns of the mouth, yet the vegan hot dog was lukewarm. It also was not the greatest imitation of meat I've ever come across. The burger that my youngest daughter had was a little better. The eldest daughter had vegan fajitas, which were basically exactly what they say they are - an array of vegetables with some tortillas. Uninspiring.
The place is not as big or interesting as some of the "big city" branches, not as much memorabilia to look at. It is located right next to the river, so will no doubt do roaring trade although it wasn't that busy when we came.
All in all, a thoroughly average experience. Prices are high, although to be fair in recent years most chains have nigh enough caught up - a £15 burger and fries meal is not exactly a rare experience anywhere these days. Not the worst place in the world, but we won't hurry back.
C.The service in here was outstanding, the staff constantly asked if we wanted any extras, food, drink and refills on our drinks!! Food was also really good and plenty of healthy options if you don't fancy having the typical burger and chips. It's nice and spacious inside with a friendly atmosphere and warm lighting. I would recommend to anyone visiting Newcastle!

m. c.Pretty standard menu, went during happy hour and got a burger and refillable soft drink for £13 which was fine, I would have been a bit disappointed with the non happy hour prices though - £16 just for the burger. Some I canny local memorabilia but not loads like you see in other hard rock cafes

My husband and I have been to Hard Rock Cafe restaurants all over the World (Paris, France; Manchester, UK; London, UK; New York, NY; Boston, MA; Las Vegas, NV; Los Angeles, CA; Honolulu, HI, and a few others). No matter which Hard Rock we have visited, we have received the same awesome service and wonderful food.

I was a little disappointed that we didn't get served at the bar after standing there for 20 minutes as we arrived a little early for our booking. Once we were seated though service was quick. The cocktails were lush but expensive at over £9.

We booked via open table and we were sent a text when the table was ready.
Service was spot on and food was brought to the table very quickly.
My wife had the legendary burger with no cheese and I had the Moving Mountain burger which was delicious.
Pricewise very good and a lovely location. It’s nice to see that the decor is light and airy.
C. O.We all enjoyed our food here today, Chicken Fajitas were fab! My husband said his burger was great too, very meaty. The kids loved their hotdog meals which were served in a guitar shaped plate, it was awesome. Staff were attentive and friendly oh and we had great views over the river. R. M.I've been been here twice now. The first time I loved it. Good food and drink, great service and atmosphere was great. Just been again tonight. Service was okay but not great. Food a little slower to come out but it was busy. My sister didn't like her meal and we did complain but the server didn't seem arsed. Dry chicken, coleslaw was literally just cabbage. He didn't offer a refund or anything.
I do think Hard Rock is overpriced but I guess you pay for the experience. I think the cocktails should be 2 for 1 or have deals on as I've just spent £21 on 2 cocktails.
Both times the bill has been over £100. First time 3 people and second time 4 people.

M. P.I have only been to the Hard Rock Cafe In Orlando so it had a lot to live up to.
It has a nice vibe inside with a nice mezzanine overlooking the restaurant and bar area.
The seating at our table was very tight to the next table and as slim people we still had to squeeze in.
It was busy so took a little while to get our drinks but the food arrived promptly.
The menu was sufficient to please 3 fussy children and a veggie. It might look expensive but you will be full afterwards and we all enjoyed it. It's definitely a dining experience and maybe not something you do each week, but I think that adds to the enjoyment of going.
There were cocktails flowing and looked amazing. The sharing items from the menu looked amazing and I'm sure you'd both struggle to finish it.
The shop is only small but reasonably priced. We didn't leave with tat or bankrupt so that was good.
I would definitely to be keen to go back for a cocktail (without the kids) looking onto the river and some nachos.

P. A.Lovely pleasant place to visit. Typical style hard rock where you enter through the shop area then into the restaurant. I noticed that you go down steps into the restaurant. There is wheel chair access to though as someone came in next to me in a wheelchair but I didn't see how they got in.
The food is always good in my opinion however it is expensive for what you get. Portions are of reasonable size. Happy hour is a good time to go which ends at 5pm. Offers like £12.95 for any burger and fries with a bottomless drink. Otherwise your looking at around £15 for a burger plus drinks.

L.First visit to Hard Rock Cafe in Newcastle and got to really impressed the burger I had was the best burger I have had perfectly cooked my wife had the chicken sandwich and she really enjoyed it. Dessert was really nice as well our server was great nothing was a problem really enjoyed our visit definitely will be back.

Main issue with service was that we got there about 12.10 for our 12.15 table and there was already a queue outside, we where surprised that all these people had booked but where queueing, we did not did not get to our table till about 12.30 and where surprised that it was not that busy yet, so no idea why it took so long to get us in. They did say that they where getting out table ready, but surely they know what bookings they have so why not get all the tables prepared before they open? Would go again as food was good but if service is as bad next time probably won't go again. Got to say the girl who served us was great but rest of staff where a bit miserable. Also, my partner and kids went last time and had issues which she complained about but still yet to hear back from the manager.

We booked up for my sister-in-law's birthday and they brought her out a free ice cream and got the whole restaurant to sing happy birthday to her. We can't wait to come back!

I've personally waited since I was 12 for a Hard Rock Café to come to Newcastle and that was 20 years ago.
The venue is very lean and the staff were on the ball for service. The food was excellent. My only criticism would be that it can be pricey at times but overall it's a great place to go.

P. D.Well, I had high expectations about this place after a fantastic experience at Hard Rock Piccadilly London. Unfortunately the food was nowhere near as good. The ribs were dry with no bbq sauce on, what little pulled pork there was, was covered with even more (soggy) crispy onions and the thimble of beans were drenched in a thin greasy liquid as was the coldslaw.
Finally the mac & cheese was a solid lump.
Like I said before, not a good experience for the price paid.

The Newcastle cafe is fantastic with friendly staff, speedy service and delicious food and drinks. It is pricey but its part of the brand and experience and so I don't mind! Yesterday we visited for our wedding anniversary meal and we were blown away by the service from Matthew. He is an absolute superstar, he really looked after us, making sure we had the best night (he even added the most magical touch to the evening)! Matthew is a real credit to Hard Rock Newcastle!
O.Went here on 7th March, the restaurant was busy but a great vibe, especially for a weekday. Loved the memorabilia around the restaurant, some very cool bits of history. Partner said his food was brilliant, mine was nice but Im very picky and didn't read the menu properly when ordering the mac n cheese, which came with pepper mixed in. It was my fault completely but a waiter Dan noticed I was not eating and replaced the dish, charging me for the latter. He did not need to do this but as a picky eater, these are the places I will go back to time and time again. 10/10 and right on the Tyne, couldn't go wrong. 100% recommend.

J. H. (.Good setting and good quality food. Value for money is the main issue with the food and drinks being nearly double what you'd pay. Even the kids soft drinks are loaded up with ice to the extent we had to ask for less.

A. S.Such a great place to be in Newcastle and will 100% be back, as with all hard rocks it has great atmosphere, good music , tasty food and very friendly.
Don't think they could of got a better location it situated right on the River side being overlooked by the Tyne bridge.
It is pricey and don't be suprised if a meal for 2 costs £70 + but its generally the experience you are paying for.
There is plenty of parking in and around Newcastle so this is not an issue but they do have a small puplic car park outside.

I. A.Ordered the diabolo burger for the main, very nice. Chips were good also. Disappointed in the starters. They were all sharers and priced accordingly, so quite often they were as expensive as the main meals. Only one starter, a bruschetta was described as individual and within normal starter pricing. Dessert choice was limited but the cheesecake was very good.

Food: Food is nice, limited options for vegetarians though. But you need to download the menu from there website and menu's are different for vegetarians and non vegetarians. It's kinda tedious to do.
Music: playlist is nice, soothing to hear; not too loud as well so it's possible to have a talk or two with other's.
Service: Service takes some time then usual probably because of the crowd even on week days.

The waitresses (& waiters) were on song all night long. Seriously though, great service & the food was just what we wanted, with a good choice of draught & bottled drinks. A huge plate of chicken goujons to start, (plenty for two) then burgers with fries. Mine was the locally adapted 'Whey Aye Burger' including peas pudding! & a my wife had the burger with mushroom & cheese. A little too much for our ageing tummies, so no pud for us 😟
Never fear we'll step right back to try again 😀

K.Sad to say after waiting so long for Hard Rock to open, I was really disappointed with the food. The restaurant itself is great, the staff amazing - really friendly and attentive, possibly bordering on over-attentive. However the food was really disappointing. Nachos for starters I couldn't complain about. Good portion at a fair price. The burger however was like an ice hockey puck. Dry, chewy and not inspiring. The veg fajitas had massive lumps of uncooked broccoli. Sadly I wouldn't go back.

We weren't disappointed! Food was amazing with exceptional service from the waiter and waitress that seen to ourselves.
The only thing we found a little disappointing is that the shop is really small but it did have some nice local touches to the t-shirts and merchandise which was nice.
All in an amazing venue added to their collection of restaurants and I would recommend a visit in a heartbeat!!!

We started by being sat outside as we arrived early for our booking and had drinks bough our. We were sat down, served and had food in front of us within 25 minutes, which considering it was 9 O’clock at night and still packed.
All staff adhered to social distancing measures and the food was fresh, hot and prompt.

Asked for another one and came that came rare, if you're gonna charge £22 for a steak shouldn't take two attempts to get it right. Otherwise really cool setting and friendly staff.

So full but already can't wait to go back. Take it from someone in the top 10% of food reviewers on Google maps, this place is great!

D. B.We were in the Hard Rock Cafe on Tuesday Evening. We had a booking for 19.15 and only had to wait about 5 mins to be taken to our seats , considering how busy it was we were more than happy with this. The service through out was excellent. Everyone of the staff members were friendly and helpful. It took about 5 minutes for the drinks to arrive and another 15 to 20 minutes for the food. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Two of us had the ‘whey aye burger,one had the Norwegian salmon and one had the classic club sandwich.

Because it was so loud we couldn't have a conversation across the table without shouting, the food order was wrong and I left without eating more than a couple of onion rings. Lovely place not so hard on the rock!

s. p.First time visiting The Hard Rock Newcastle. We had a table booked for 7.30 had to wait until 8 to get seated. Once we get in we were greeted by Christable who was amazingly attentive and nothing was to much of a problem. The atmosphere of the place is electric with a great selection of music and great memorabilia. The food order arrived quickly after the order and was piping hot. We went for the Nacho starters which there was a very generous amount (more then enough for 3 people).The main arrived 5 mins after we were finished the starter .Again it was piping hot and was devine(I have to recommend the BBQ Bacon Burger). Overall we had a really nice time.but I think the wait times need to be addressed..it's ok at the moment in the summer but come the winter it's going to be a cold one.

I will say the staff were bonnie but the compliments end there... The table didn't give much space it was quite small especially when your ordering a cocktail or two and my wife doesn't like small things if you know what i mean 😉... I have been going to the gym as well so was definitely a squeeze... my wife's salad was literally bit of romaine salad with some house dressing that i suspect was a cheap brand and prawns that weren't even hot. Me wife was fuming to say the least... thanks im in the dog house. The salad was 15 quid man the audacity!!!! she nearly dumped me.. The salt and pepper shakers must of gone walkies as the burger was blander then my ex wife's humour. please take my criticism into review. Good night all.

Attentive staff that call everyone guys no matter of age, which is in keeping with the Americana of the image, I kinda don't complain but one of our party hated it.
The servers were so nice we didn't say anything...
Oh and a word to the big boys out there.
If they try fit you in a booth with the bench seats and table, if you're over 20 stone forget it. It just don't fit.
And I mean seriously don't fit.
Hard Rock is for skinnies or mediums, just like the clothing that only caters for a 'small' XL.
Anyways always enjoy the visit and the food, so rock and roll...

i. 6.We may have to wait a few more months for our very own Hard Rock Cafe to open in Newcastle, but for those of you who can't wait there is a pop up merchandise shop at Stack.
The staff are extremely helpful & they have a great range of products.
