Really enjoyed the food and service, set in a modern estate just off the A19. Food was tasty and the premier Inn breakfast is also served here

We enjoyed a nice traditional pub meal here of steak and ale pie. The food was really good and staff were really friendly. The place was also very spacious and well decorated. Only slight problem was service was slow due to not many staff being there.

This is a pub we call into occasionally if we're in the area. Always find the staff very helpful and friendly. The beer garden is brilliant on a sunny day and much larger than it looks as it goes around the side of the building. Prices for both drinks and food are about average compared to other places, burgers are good. Well worth a visit if you're in the area or want to try somewhere different.

Service is 5 stars, they have been looking after our grandparents for a number of years who visit here frequently and would give a five star overall. The food is on par with with really good supermarket ready meals (oven type) and that’s probably what you are paying for.

Just had a lovely festive lunch with friends. Prawn cocktail , turkey then slow gin trifle. My friends had pate ,steak & after eight mint sundae. Everything was delicious & because we ordered in November we got a free bottle of prosecco .All this for £13:99. The service was excellent ,very pleasant staff & nicely decorated dining room. Needless to say we will be returning soon.

Friends were visiting from out of town and wanted to give this restaurant a try. It is about a 20 minute drive from my home, so not too bad. I didn't know what to expect, as I hadn't looked into it. It turned out to be one of the best restaurant outings I've had in the past few years! The service was excellent, the atmosphere was great and the food was fantastic! We got 4 starters and shared them: chicken skewers, sweet potato fries, lamb meatballs and garlic & cheese flatbread. These were all a big hit with us! Two of us ordered the mixed grill that was on special and were shocked by how much food we got! We didn't have room for dessert, but we ordered it anyway. I got the chocolate brownie and it was the best one I've ever had! Absolutely fantastic restaurant - I'd recommend it to anyone who likes normal, great tasting food at very reasonable prices. The only odd thing is the placement of the hand dryer in the men's loo - right above the curved sink. This leads to hilarious water blasting. It's fun to see how high you can spray the water. I am pretty sure it hit the ceiling once.

Visited here a few weeks ago as I live in the estate I actually don't get the negative comments as its nothing like they say the black pudding was cooked to perfection just like it was further down the page staff are very friendly and their beer garden is dog friendly aswell which is handy after a long night time walk pints reasonable price everything was brilliant

We haven't been in for a couple of years due to you know what but I'm pleased we did today. Our server was attentive, but not pushy and very friendly and pleasant. He made a change in my husband's meal with no query at all and double checked our order. The food came out within 10-15 mins and was piping hot, not lukewarm like other establishments. I had one of the best curries I've tasted, plenty of chicken and full of flavour. They have a good choice of non-alcoholic drinks for those who don't drink or are driving, a nice change from the usual offerings of fruit juices and pop elsewhere. It's reasonably priced too for the quality of the food. The atmosphere is relaxed, though it was late afternoon when we went so not too busy. Overall, an excellent choice if you want a relaxing couple of hours out and we recommend it to couples and families alike

We went for a meal here again and it was lovely. I think the people working there are nice and nothing is too much trouble. I like how your not having to go up and down to the bar to order, as it’s all table service. The food is tasty and freshly cooked, spoilt for choice and desserts are good if you have room still. Our first visit since stonebrook. Love the decor, very comfortable seats. Would have given 5 stars for a nice atmosphere, very friendly & welcoming staff but not all was perfect. Had a variety platter. Chicken in milk was lovely. Gammon steak equally so. My beef steak, although cooked just as I like it, was both tough & bland. I would go back cos you can't condemn for 1 fault.

Breakfast is not very good, below average in fact. The Continental part is good, however the cooked breakfast is rubbish. The beans are tasteless, the vegetarian sausages are tasteless and have some weird skin hanging off them, the eggs were okay, the hashbrown was also tasteless and soggy. Waste of money. The coffee from the machine and fresh orange are both nice though. Very disappointing. Its lovely inside though.

Decent Sunday lunch, extra toasties and Yorkshires is a nice tweek to the options on the menu. It took us about 30 mins to get our food as they were quite busy with it being a Sunday. I would say the Holystone is reasonably priced, not the greatest Sunday lunch I've had but I'd most likely return if I was in the area again. Staff were spot on and professional throughout the sitting and very accommodating to our requests. The venue it's self is very nicely decorated, we sat out towards the conservatory which had plenty of lighting and enough space for four of us. The chairs are nice to sit on but quite heavy to move which could be a struggle for an older person. Some of the veg was a little under cooked but still edible. Had problems with stock and only limited items on the menu, however a lot of restaurants in a similar position at the time of our visit with supply chain issues.

Cannot fault this pub, the lady serving us was friendly and efficient, drinks order taken within a few minutes of being seated, served minutes later, food order taken straight after and took around 20-30mins, the food was tasty, fresh and good value for money, 2x drinks, 2x Sunday roasts and 2x deserts cost us just over £30 which was perfectly reasonable. Only surprised it wasn't busier!

We had a lovely experience here today. We arrived with 3 minutes left of the breakfast and the staff were so accommodating. They took our order quick so we would make it and it wasn't a bother that 7 people had arrived for breakfast with not a lot of time. They were very good with our 3 year old and even asked if there was anything we needed before they cleared the all you can eat part of the continental breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and they got our order right. Info lived in the area it would be a regular for breakfast but unfortunately there are none of these pubs by me.

Went for breakfast food was lovely as usual however with covid everything needs ordered from the table which was fine for the first round but after that the waitresses were no where to be seen and we ended up having to shout to get someone's attention after waiting about 15 mins which is not ideal. The staff should maybe do a quick check on everyone's table every so often to see if anything is needed. It's a shame they don't have an app to order on.

Reasonable priced pub grub. We've visited a few times - especially during the summer when we have our dog with us and can sit out in the very nice gardens. Plenty of seating outside and indoors. Food is great for the money, the service is always friendly. Plenty of different draft beers to try. If there's one criticism it's that at busy times food can take a while to come out. It's made more comfortable by the attentive staff though who will keep your drinks topped up while you wait.

Very nice place to eat. Just opened on the edge of a new housing estate with a Premier Inn. Very convenient access to the main roads. The food is excellent as the staff are very helpful and friendly. The decor is new and well fitted out with all kinds of different table configurations to suit everyone. Will definitely visit again.

Amazing lovely place. Fab fab food. Great great staff. I had to stay alone in the premier inn next door eight weeks ago while supporting my husband in the Freeman hospital. Each evening I had to dine alone. But each waitress who seated me were very sympathetic, put me somewhere quiet where I felt comfortable and looked after me very well. Been here a couple of times and I definitely need to come more. The food is excellent, the bacon and cheese burger is one of the best I’ve ever had. The service is notably excellent, with staff going to lengths to make your experience a good one. And while the food isn’t as cheap as fast food, it’s not expensive and worth every penny.

Called in for a bite to eat and a drink, it's a nice place the staff are friendly but my order was wrong but was nice the side salad was a bit limp so left that my wife enjoy her food. It was a bit on the busy side but there's plenty of room. The price's are not too bad. Overall not a bad place will probably go back.

Had a great evening meal there with good service. However the breakfast experience was different. You have to order your cooked English breakfast which on both mornings we were there took over half an hour to be served. The breakfast area can be very busy at times with congestion between the area where the continental breakfast is laid out and a breakfast bar. People who are waiting for toast to cook block the area up and guests getting tea/coffee and fruit juice get bumpt into and there is spillage which with hot drinks can be dangerous. There can be waiting times for tables. Part of the problem could be because customers are occupying tables for along time waiting for their breakfast to be cooked. This waiting time needs to be factored in to your plans for your day. We found we were grazing on continental breakfast while waiting for cooked breakfast and then struggle to finish it which could lead to some of it being wasted. The food in itself was very good. Will be going to another Premier Inn down in Kent soon the first thing I will check is if you need to order English breakfast so we don't get caught out again.

The food although plentyful just did not justify the cost. My sons medium cooked beef was more fatty grisal than cooked. Amazing. A very large variety of hot and cold options. With the hot food you can have an all you can eat option were you and select any number of each item on the menu. From the cold menu there is a large selection of cerial, fruit, yogurt, pancakes and toast. Different juices and hot drinks. The staff were helpful and very friendly.

We were greeted with great friendliness and shown to our table. The staff were most attentive and friendly to us. We went here this evening without booking a table, it was very busy. The host was very friendly and sat us next to a fire, which was very comfortable and informed us that the waitress will come and take our order. We sat and waited for some time, a good 15 minutes before the waitress asked if we wanted any drinks, she apologised for the wait and said they were that busy, she missed us. As we had 15 minutes to decide on what we wanted, we ordered drinks and our meal. My girlfriend is pescatarian so she ordered the fish shop burger, with no pea mayo or pea shoots, this was all recorded and the wait for the starters began. Another 20 mins (at least) passed before our starters (cheesy garlic bread and cheese mac balls) arrived. This was after me looking around and making eye contact with the host who walked straight to the hot plate and bought our food over, she apologised for the delay and said we’re so busy, we gave your starter to someone else and we needed to cook another one. The starters were tasty and well cooked, but by now we were really hungry and was looking forward to our mains. The plates were cleared and our mains arrived 15 minutes after the starters were cleared. I ordered the ultimate burger, which was well cooked, very tasty and well presented. The slaw was think and creamy and the chips had a decent crunch to them. My girlfriend (as above) ordered the fish and chip burger (being pescatarian) and she was given a chicken burger, when we questioned this with the waitress she apologised confirmed we ordered the fish burger and would wipe it from our bill. When the fish burger arrived she apologised and said they were so busy they picked up the wrong plate. Once my girlfriend got the correct meal (as I was finishing mine) she thought it was tasty and well cooked. The staff were very apologetic and when asked for the bill, my girlfriends main was indeed free of charge. Overall, the food was nice, the actual pub and fireplace was lovely, it just seemed like they couldn’t cope with busy period. We’ll avoid at all cost if it looks busy through the windows.

Whoever is responsible for the "live" updates is either forgetful or lying. If the live update is unreliable guess work it needs to be removed.
