Great food at this restaurant and the staff are very friendly as well. The steaks are exceptional and cooked how you like them, with staff taking the time to make recommendations for way of cooking, sauce and any additional sides. Little pricey for soft drinks, and the sticky toffee pudding was a little dry. Takes American Express and has baby changing facilities. Given high chair. Big car park.

Booked a table for my birthday, just me and my partner. Very beautiful place. Service was swift and staff were very friendly. Especially a certain staff member that served us, in which, I never caught her name. Great sense of humour and made us feel comfortable. Food was great. We had crispy pork belly bao buns, and cheesy mushrooms for starters. The pork was to die for, and the mushrooms were fantastic as well that came with a nice selection of bread. We had the 12oz ribeye steak which was cooked exactly how we asked for, and the dirty fries, amazing. The lettuce wedge slice with the sauce of your choice was very nice too. And last, we had dessert, the creme brulee and banoffee pie were both fantastic. Especially the happy birthday added to my plate 😋 Cocktails were very tasty. We both had the bramble cocktails, my partner never drinks and he had two of those and really liked them! And the complementary drink through the app was very nice too. Overall, great service and food, expensive if you're not used to it, but worth it.

The best steak experience! If you're looking for mouth-watering food and exceptional service , Miller and Carter is for you. We decided to go for the butchers block, which included a rump steak, a ribeye, bone marrow brisket, and two fillets. We also got two salad wedges and two sides, and this was the perfect amount of food to share. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and every mouthful was pure bliss. Our server Lauren catered to our every need and was attentive throughout our time at the restaurant. Drinks and arrived promptly, and whenever our drinks were low, we were asked if we would like another. Definitely recommend visiting Miller and Carter if you're a steak lover as this is the best steak we have ever had. 10/10 service and food.

Visited this Miller and Carter for the first time and it was absolutely stunning! I visited with my fiance and we ordered the Butchers Block of which included a great variety of perfectly cooked steaks and it was terrific! Really flavourful food and the atmosphere was great to. Our server Jay was particuly helpful, welcoming & polite, which really topped off our evening also, I will definitely be returning again.

A special treat for my Son's 16th birthday and we couldn't have asked for more. Fabulous service from Danielle, who not only knew her stuff inside out, but sorted the 'cake' aswell. Food was delicious and, in our opinion, value for money. Dirty burgers, steaks and ribs for mains were all cooked beautifully and tasted amazing. Shared starters of nachos and garlic bread and that was ample for 6 people. Thanks guys, you made our boys birthday very special 💙

Really nice visit here for a business meal. Easy to find as it's just off the A189 at a roundabout. Good size carpark and disabled parking available. Your welcomed as you walk in and have a bar waiting area if you need to wait for your other guests to arrive or you can go to your table. Standard and Gluten free menus available. We ordered our starters which were lovely. The nachos were particularly amazing! I would highly recommend them! All the steaks were cooked just as requested and excellent cuts. Staff checked everything was OK in a polite manner and got everything we ordered spot on. I will definitely be visiting again.

Having been to Miller and Carter Newcastle City 4 weeks ago we thought it couldn't be beat but having went to Millar and Carter @ Gosforth park they raised the bar yet again. Exceptional food, service and great atmosphere and thanks to our server daniel for looking after us and making my wife's birthday one to remember. Would definitely recommend and will surely be back soon. We are staying in Newcastle as our son is in the Freemans hospital and this restaurant ensured we had truly the best experience with no time spent waiting on anything, even buzzed us a taxi when we were finished which ensured we got back, promptly. Top marks all round 👌

Awesome steakhouse. Although located in a bit more remotely, this is a really nice place to find some fine steak. Steaks are cooked to your liking. We had some steaks cooked to medium well and others medium rare, ofwhich all cooked to perfection. The salad that comes with it is so fresh, with a choice of sauces, and even without the sauce, it tastes so good. Literally the best salad ive had when dining out. You also get a choice of sides like chips. (Sweet potato chips was really nice!) The additional sides/sharers were a bit of a let down, would not recommend them. Haloumi Cheese fries was super salty, to the point where it feels like you are just eating salt. Another mushroom starter dish we had was also quite salty and wasn't anything special either. Drinks are pretty normal, nothing really special. The staff here are really friendly, great service. If you drive then its quite easy to get to. If you take the bus, you will still need to walk for a while before you arrive to it. Or you can just take the taxi there. From town it costs around £11. P.S. Remember to book in advance since this place is quite full most of the time.

Fabulous from start to finish. Unbelievably our 1st time there after years of saying we should go. We chose the lunch time special which is great value for money. Food was very tasty, cocktails amazing, beer really good, kids meal are good size. Our server was so nice (Greek guy), couldn't do enough for us. Would highly reccomend and cannot wait to go back.

Lovely atmosphere, decor and, of course, food. However, what brings us back to all Miller & Carter's is the amazing staff. Always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Scott served us yesterday and was an absolute pleasure. He made sure everything was to our liking on a number of occasions and, unlike some places, I really got the impression it was a genuine question and, if anything had not been quite right for us, he would have dealt with it. Visited with my dad, which was his first time, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Many thanks.

Parking spaces are small and not many struggled to get a space, no room to manoeuvre. Service and staff friendly as we arrived bar area very busy as we had a short wait for our table. Black Angus rib eye was not very tender got medium as recommended. The rest of our food was lovely garlic prawns were fantastic.

My first visit 27th July. Great staff. Great food. Great place. My only gripe is the size of the lobster served with the Chateaubriand. It was tiny and was shared between two. At £100 a plate I did feel a bit cheated. Other than that Brilliant. I'll definitely be back. I just won't order lobster again.

We went for lunch with our kids (youngest child is 12) and ordered from the lunch time specials menu which is reasonably priced although lacking in great choice but everyone found something they liked. Biggest downfall is the lunch time menu offers 2 courses for £12.95 but if you choose anything steak related (at a steakhouse) there's a £3 supplement so 3 of our meals were actually £15.95 each. Having said that, everything else was as expected. Meals were tasty, staff super friendly and helpful as always and full bellies all round. Only Losing a star purely on little choice from that menu and the whole supplementary cost thing.

Fabulous restaurant! Received a warm welcome and shown to our table then we were asked if we were happy with it or preferred somewhere different. Our server, Caz, was very helpful and so glad she suggested the beef dripping sauce - it was amazing!!! The steaks were so tender and delicious. Expensive but you get what you pay for. The service was great and the food was excellent. There were no delays and they seem very well organised. The staff are very pleasant and nice ambiance. However - The drinks were expensive, my Grandson could not drink his £1.75p glass of cordial, as it did not taste like blackcurrant. We felt £3.05p for a glass of lemonade and 90p for a dash of lemonade is excesive. I had a complimentary glass of rose wine for joining the club, but I could only drink it after adding lemonade to it. Also the bottle of water had a strange taste.

The only negative is when making the reservation, I alway put requests to be seated at a specific seating area and we have never been seated there, instead we get seated at the nearest free table. Never a mention by the staff of reason why this request couldn't/can't be met. Other than that all is spot on.

I think your main courses are amazing, the steak is cooked to perfection. Your staff are also just as amazing, always very knowledgable and helpful, with a smile on their faces, any fault them at all. Would you could improve on is your starters and desserts. The starters are nice but need more to them, for instance, the crab and prawn cocktail has barely any sauce, it’s more like a little crab and prawn salad than cocktail, the bao buns are all bun, not much filling. The desserts again are nice but feel like they are a bit lacking, the banoffee pie is just the best, but the lemon and raspberry cheesecake is a bit dry as was the brownie. We didn’t say anything to the staff, which we could have done, but overall we had a great experience, it just feels like the starters and desserts let the whole experience down, otherwise I would have given a 5 stars as the rating. One other point to note, the lighting up the stairs to the toilets could be increased just a bit so that it’s less disorienting.

Server distracted and not making eye contact only clearing some plates and then pointed out we had only left him a £7.50 tip ( possibly needs to ask himself why). This is usually one of the best MC we go to but not on this occasion.

Fab service great staff & really impressed with how a minor oversight was dealt with, great customer service & the food was just lovely just what was needed for a girly catch up!! But what I was pleasantly surprised to see was lots of families with little kids there...! I'd sort of ruled that out but now I'm totally taking the whole crew!! Pork bao bun was divine ...& The crème brulé was absolutely out of this world! Let's not mention how I could down a pint of that dripping sauce!! 🤤🤤🤤 Beaut!!

Amazing! Really good food menu with not just steak offered. Thought they went the extra mile for a special occasion which we only mentioned while booking online. The food is always quick and the quality is outstanding. Love it how they do the recommendations on how the steak cuts should be cooked and they’re always right! The bar is really good too. Myself and my husband came here this evening 3/12/22 for one last nice meal before we become parents! On arrival, we was greeted with a smile and quickly seated to our table and introduced to our server Craig who was very friendly! After a couple of minutes Craig could see by my face I was undecided and came over to offer his opinion, I’m a very fussy person and admittedly like my steak medium well/well and Craig pointed me in the right direction of what steak would still have the most flavour while being cooked this way, so I ended up going for the 10oz black Angus ribeye. After ordering our drinks, they came out quickly, and shortly followed our starters of sticky chipotle chicken, which was a generous portion and perfectly cooked and my husband had the scallops, and before I got the chance to ask him how his tasted, the plate was empty, so I guess that answered my question! Craig noticed our drinks were low and offered some more which we said yes, however these did take a little while o come out, which was fine as the place was super busy! But Craig was attentive and noticed we had not yet received our drinks and within a couple of minutes, our drinks were at the table. Our steaks arrived and we ordered 2 sides, chorizo and beef brisket Mac and cheese. All were cooked perfectly and the crispy onion served with the steak I could eat all day. We finished our meal with deserts, warm chocolate brownie with ice cream and my husband had crème brûlée and we finished the lot. Service by all staff was attentive, but not intrusive, polite and we felt very welcome. After our meal, we finished off with a drink in the bar area, where service again was quick and efficient and a lovely way to finish off the evening. Our total was £125 which we think was great for the amount we had and the quality of the food. A starter, main, and desert each with 2 sides and my husband had 2 large glasses of wine, and I had 2 raspberry house sodas. We can’t wait to come back! Amy and Sean

Steak lover's come and taste these 30-50 day old aged Angus rib eyes, sirloins, fillets it all looks good. You pay a good price for the best, this is the place to try. Big appetites will be filled with a range of steaks, sauces, and sides. Starters of squid and black aioli was pretty good. For a quick look at the lunch menu its around £17.95 for two courses, you pay extra for Angus. Wide range of wines ,champagnes and lots on tap. Clean, professional staff. Thanks

This restaurant is a must visit. My wife & I went for a meal for our wedding anniversary tonight & both had calamari to start followed by steaks, medium rare. My fillet was of the highest quality & cooked to perfection. My wife's 12oz sirloin was to the same standard. The waiter (Ethan) was very polite & attentive & the courses were served at good timings. To top things off, when we ordered desserts, Ethan brought a happy anniversary chocolate mousse out, on the house (see photo). You certainly get what you pay for in life & if your willing to pay a bit more than pub prices then you won't be disappointed. We will be returning soon.

My only point of criticism is given the building is relatively new, the loos are upstairs, there is a disabled loo on the ground level. I think I had my standards set too high as you hear such good things and with it being a steak house I was expecting the best of the best. The fillet wasn't like any fillet I've ever had, it looked and had the texture of a sirloin. The sauce was a very small pot and when I chose mushroom sauce I expected mushrooms in it 🤔 the lobster tail was a very very small serving for almost £10. It felt like a chain pub not an exclusive restaurant. It wasn't a negative experience I was just a bit disappointed and don't think I'd hurry back.

We were greeted by lovely Lauren, who explained the team were just clearing the table so offered us a seat at the bar and provided us with a buzzer to let us know when the table would be ready. The barman and service was brilliant for a round of 6 alcoholic drinks and 1 mocktail we paid £45... £££ Lauren kindly escorted us to our lovely round table where Holly was our server. We had previously explained the 2x nut ans 1x shellfish allergy so they were well prepared for us and talked us through their 'allergen tablet' prior to ordering. The kiddies menu was brilliant, usually my brother finds it really difficult to order anything especially dessert due to nuts however the menu was perfectly balanced and 3 out of the 4 desserts for kids were nut free which was great! The food come out hot and well cooked, we literally could not fault it, their extensive menu meant there was something for everyone, including my husband who's a vegetarian. My dad ordered a fish dish however as the fryer had previously had lobster fried it in it meant he had to change his mind for his mains, however we were so grateful to Chris who came and warned my dad of this due to his shellfish allergy. To date, Miller & Carter have been one of the best steakhouse restaurants we have had the pleasure of visiting. The place is always full, which is a good sign, and you normally book in advance because of how popular it is- unless you're lucky and there's been a cancellation. Even though it's been fully booked each time we've been, you don't feel squashed; you don't feel rushed to finish your meal, and the service is brilliant. The staff were friendly attentive and helpful, and the food has been superb on every occasion. HIGHLY recommend the Tbone steak with the beef dripping dressing. We've often heard people saying it's a little expensive; however, you get what you pay for, which is quality food with exceptional service, and it's worth every penny.

My husband and I are quite late to the party and have only just discovered Miller & Carter! Now we can't stop visiting, we go almost every weekend! It's expensive but you get what you pay for and I don't mind paying a lot of money for decent, good quality, well cooked food. Expect to pay around £90 for two steaks with two glasses of wine but it could easily stretch to over £100 if you added starters, sides and desserts which we usually do. But don't let the price put you off, it obviously doesn't with most people because they're always busy. After having visited both the Newcastle branch and this one I can honestly say despite the location of the Gosforth one being slightly random in the middle of a new housing estate, both the food and the service seems to be better here than the one in town. We'll definitely be back again as this is only 10 minutes up the road for us!

Decor was lovely but a bit traditional for My taste. My lad had chicken lollipops which he loved considering he’s as fussy as the next 6 year old....he polished off with cookie and ice cream - absolutely lovely. I had burger - bacon and cheese 11£ or so - slightly over cooked for me but tasty and really juicy. Cheese was wonderful. Finished with coffee which was great too. Had the lettuce and blue cheese on the side, fresh and nice. Overall 28£ but over 30 with drinks. Not cheap But good value considering the whole package Special mention to waitress, really friendly and so lovely with the boy. Would go back for that alone
