Ordered the mixed kebab meal and it was cooked pretty quick, brought over with great service from the staff.
Garlic sauce very nice, home made chilli sauce was delicious, not too spicy.
The meat was unbelievably seasoned, especially the saffron chicken.
Lots of other options on the menu including English and Italian options.
Also had the Persian tea at £1, was lovely. Had mint leaves in it.

a. a.Their big breakfast is the best I've ever had, bacon, sausage,egg, tomato, mushroom, black pudding, hash brown, beans , toasted bread. And all for under a fiver.
Cooked while you wait and served on hot plate.
Not a big eating area but the dinning area was very clean with table's nicely spaced, comfortable seating with clean , spotless cutlery and condiments.
A very pleasant experience.

Ingredients freshly prepared, mixed grill is very delicious, juicy, tender,full of flavor! Bread is freshly made as well. We normally ordered the mixed grill for two and it feed all of us, two adults and two children. Great value for money! Children friendly!
E. K.Excellent food and very friendly restaurant. If you are a Persian you will find it comforting and if you are not you will feel the hospitality and generosity of Persians. A quaint atmosphere. You can go there for just a cup of tea or a meal. In both cases you are guaranteed a pleasant experience.

Very delicious meal
Fantastic restaurant located on westgate road. I would recommend the days specials especially Friday Salmon and Sunday Lamb shank. You can also try the saffron chicken kebab and don't forget to drink Persian tea
m. m.Very delicious food and extremely reasonable price. Everything was good but the falafel was a highlight, as was the daily special which was curry the day we visited. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for a great, cheap, relaxed meal.

a. l.I really fancy the name, Moulin Rouge. Set my sentiment aside, they provide good culinary experiences. Can't say it's extravagant, but I'm quite impressed on how the food taste. I ordered an English breakfast and I think the hashbrown was good! They put attention on their menu list where they explain clearly what each menu contain (e.g whether it contains pork, nut, allergen, etc), which is highly appreciable.

H.What a great little Café, saffron chicken with pita bread and salad my favourite, but the daily specials are superb, had a salmon dish that was really fantastic, I can honestly say it has some of the tastiest food I have ever had (salmon special large portion and fresh) The prices are very reasonable and a very warm welcome, I call in every time I am up there. H. B.I've been in a few times for breakfast/brunch. The coffee is good and the aubergine stew and flatbread is my favourite vegetarian breakfast in Newcastle, it's so tasty and filling. And my boyfriend loves the Big Breakfast classic fry up. The guys that work there are lovely too.

A. A.The neighborhood is not comfortable at all. It is crowded with leather-wearing motocyclists. The breakfast menue is traditional, however. Their Persian breakfast dish is astonishing. Interior design is very interesting where the woody wall is covered by Persian Newspapers, historical and concurrent paintings and pictures from Iran. Overall, I might re-visit it yet it is generally overrated.
