We reserved a table as read the good reviews from here. A really good independent Turkish restaurant, very chilled and had some nice decorations around the restaurant. The staff were very friendly, chatty and attentive. Some wore fez hats and you could, if asked nicely, got given one to wear and pose with. It was great to be able to take our time and not feel rushed to get rid of us. The food was great, nicely cooked and generous portions. Starters: Hummus and Kalamar Mains: Mixed Grill Desserts: Ice Cream

Got a just Eat delivery from here, arrived on time, hot, quite well packaged by nice driver! I got the King Prawn starter, not what i imagined it to be however it was delicious! My main was Lamb Guvec, it did taste nice.. just not what i was looking for tonight! Kinda like a lamb mediterranean stew with onions and peppers, definetly didnt have the wow factor for me, sorry! I will definetly give the restaurant a go again as food was nice enough! Oh and almost forgot.. i have had a few takeaways in my time and i have never had one which had half the rice missing lol, strange one tbh 👌👍😁

We ate at Ottoman Turkish Restaurant before attending a concert at Newcastle Utilita Areana. We received a warm welcome on arrival and fabulous friendly service throughout our meal. Food was delicious accompanied by a fine bottle of Turkish wine. We will not hesitate to recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.

Best quality Turkish grilled Kebap food in town. It has easy access through central station. Portions are very generous and prices are allright for what you are getting if you are a meat lover. The only problem is parking. But it is a general issue if you want to dine in town.

It was our first time trying out Ottoman Turkish Restaurant. Definitely a hidden gem in Newcastle! We had a fantastic experience overall. Great ambience and excellent service. The staff were pleasant and very friendly. Food and drinks came in good time. The food was delicious! I had the chicken Ali nasik with Turkish bread. I would suggest a salad on the side but the bread combo was good too! I would definitely recommend this place and I look forward to visiting again.

This is a great restaurant. I was here a few months ago for lunch and couldn't fault it, so thought I would try an evening meal. Again it was excellent. I had vine leaves to start along with warm bread and then a fantastic mixed kebab. As you can see in the photo this was a mix of lamb and chicken both of which were perfectly cooked, succulent and flavoursome. It came with fragrant rice, side salad and a top notch chilli sauce. Sadly I didn't have time to sample the baklava but I certainly will next time. The bill was served with some wonderful Turkish delight too. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, just making it a great experience. Will certainly be returning and thank you again :)

First of all The food was delicious, we had a mix grill, lamb chops and Beyti all the meats were cooked very nice, the lamb chops were soft like a pillow, the food was basically excellent Now the only dissapointment i had was, being turkish and being from london turkish tea is always given as a gift, but unfortunetly we were charged £1.50 for a small glass, secondly we had a meze platter it came with a small basket of bread, when the food came like the mix grill lamb chops there was no bread with it, we asked for the bread and again we were charged £3.50 for the bread,normally in all turkish restaurants bread is given free no matter how much you eat.

This is my go to restaurant for taking friends who are visiting from out of town. The food is wonderful! Large portions and very tasty. Be careful not to over order, as everything on the menu looks good! The service here is exceptional. From the greeting you receive when you arrive to the wondeeful service during the meal, you are made to smile. I regularly host business guests here as the staff are very mindful to give you time to chat and not to interrupt conversations. The pricing is also very reasonable. Expect £40-£50 for 2 people for starters, a main and a bottle of wine. The lunch options during the day are exceptional, and really good value too. Highly recommended!

A great place, nice food, staff are always friendly to us. My favourite thing about visiting is the bread. I love the bread here. They give you a couple of dips with the warm bread and its lovely. The only thing I would like to be improved is the heating in the place as sometimes can be a little cold. Otherwise a recommended place to eat.

Staff are great, very welcoming and quick to service. They fit you in where they can when it's busy, and the few times I have been it's been pretty packed. Which is a good sign that people really going to this restaurant. The prices are very reasonable, and the drinks are decent too. Being honest I don't often visit Turkish restaurants or eat this type of food but our meals have been nice and have found something that suits me. Preferably something a little spicer is best for that. On my last visit I was a little disappointed at the lack of flavour in my meal, there was plenty of sauce on my plate but was still bland. It was still nice however. I'll not be hurrying back myself but would recommend to others.

Wonderful little jewel a short walk from Central station. Recommend by friends, we met them there and were very pleasantly surprised by the qaulity of the food, the ambience, the super friendly owner and above all the smaller than expected bill. It was relatively.quiet whilst we were there and the restaurant were happy.to accommodate our young children and were able.to cater for my son who has several allergies. Decor inside is pleasant with old high beams and Turkish lamps and lanterns providing attractive lighting. The atmosphere was quiet but pleasant. There was a TV playing which was a bit distracting and unnecessary (and it was playing something which was quite weird as I recal). Service was polite and relaxed - if I was super critical it was a little bit slow. All that said I thoroughly enjoyed the food and it was reasonably priced. I'd happily return.

Lovely food and staff were friendly. Clean and comfortable inside but the smoking area was outside via a dirty external staircase with mops and buckets propped against a wall. I would recommend the venue but not so much if you are planning to have a cigarette afterwards.

The food is delicious with the grilled meat in particular being spectacular. We had patlican, humus and the yogurt dip which were all tasty and the Turkish bread was fresh and dotted with yummy nigella seeds. Perhaps bread portion could have been a touch more generous. I had the lamb cutlets which I thoroughly enjoyed. My family had various different grilled meats which were all perfect. My youngest sister had a stuffed chicken breast which I haven't seen on other Turkish menus and this was special. Good drinks selection with various different wines. We were happy to have good filter coffee and the famous Turkish elma cay or apple tea after the meal. The restaurant is spacious and very comfortable with traditional Turkish music playing which creates a soft atmosphere. They also have a TV displaying different scenes of turkey. The owner/manager of the place is a gregarious Turkish gentleman who's banter could easily be misconstrued as rudeness. However he looked after us thoroughly and gave all the ladies little Turkish eye trinkets after the dinner. A very lovely touch.

Ottomans is by far the best Turkish restaurant in the North East. The food is always amazing, made with excellent quality ingredients and served by some of the nicest staff around. Would recommend the place to anyone, if you do go, try the Ali nazik!
