Reviews of Punto Italian Kitchen

Good food at quite large portions, a bit heavy even, and cocktails were really strong too! Very Italian as once you go you leave full. The staff was also really nice despite how busy the evening was so probably equally as stressful. The rest of the menu also looked great so we will definitely be visiting again to explore it more!

The food and service at Punto were both very good.
All pasta dishes here are made using fresh pasta. My lasagna was very tasty, as was the gnocchi, I just wish the portions had been bigger or that they'd been served with something on the side. Didn't try the pizza on this occasion but you can see the dough being hand stretched from across the restaurant.
All the desserts are home made too, which is unusual for an Italian restaurant. I loved the orange soaked, almond polenta cake, although it was very small and expensive at £6. I'd definitely try the other desserts.
Overall a nice lunch just a bit on the expensive side, which I wouldn't have minded if the portions had been bigger.

The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great. The nduja pizza was a bit different but the goats cheese isn’t for me - I’d ask for mozzarella instead. The glazed crust is good for Insta but makes your hands sticky and worsens the crust. The starters cost about as much as mains (£9.50). Probably wouldn’t reorder the Platto di Pesce or Mussels again as they weren’t special enough to feel like good value. Lasagne was great.

Lovely atmosphere, warm welcome, great aroma. Superb food, especially prawn & crab linguine and carbonara, excellent dessert & coffee. Very reasonably priced, friendly service. Superb.

Great place, for authentic Italian food. The staff were great, and the owners are the perfect hosts. Would highly recommend this place, and can't wait for the brunch menu to come out!

Great Italian food, so much flavour for all the dishes I had. Definitely recommended.

My first visit, a Monday evening meal for 3. I will definitely be back. The pizza was delicious. Service was fab, atmosphere was great, even on a Monday. Would highly recommend. It’s nice to see places striving for local produce. Loved the decor too.

Having had several fantastic experiences with Punto, myself and my partner decided to take my Dad there one evening when he was staying with us.
The food, as it always is, was absolutely delicious, and my old man who had never been before thoroughly enjoyed his food too and didn't stop talking about it to the rest of my family when he returned home!
The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality (and the fact so much is locally sourced is an added bonus) and the staff are the most polite and welcoming people you could ever hope to have in hospitality (one of whom gave a pot of sun-dried tomatoes to my partner because she asked where they got them from, completely off of their own back).
We were so happy with our experience that me and my partner have decided to put Punto in charge of our Christmas Day dinner, and we are very excited that our first time having Christmas Day dinner out will be at this fantastic restaurant!
P.S. for anyone that has babies/toddlers/young children, we have visited before with an 18 month old who was a little grouchy at the time, and the staff couldn't have been more superb and welcoming towards us and him. If you're anxious about bringing a young child to a restaurant and want somewhere to try, this is the perfect place for you to come!

Some of the best Italian food I've had, and definitely the friendliest service. The parmigiana made with smoked mozzarella was outstanding. Staff all absolutely brilliant, so charming and helpful. Thanks so much for a brilliant experience all round.

What a brilliant place. We just came across this restaurant tonight and thought it looked nice from the outside. Luckily they had a table available for us and the food was delicious. Service also excellent. We will definitely be back again soon
