Reviews of Sorella Sorella

Good, but it’s cousin up the road is still my favourite.
We had the Sunday dinners. The beef and the porchetta were both tasty and the portions were huge - with lots of veg hidden under the meat. We ordered the cauliflower cheese too, which was OK. Although there were no problems with anything, The Owl & Otter (owned by the same family) has the edge as there is simply some magic there.
The pizzas were a bit average, as were the crab croquettes.
It has pretty good service and the place was heaving so make sure you book. There’s lots of free parking out the back.

Delicious with a Capital D! Thank you for the excellent food. Good service by attentive staff. Crab croquettes appetizer was amazing.
Thoroughly enjoyed the daily fish special. Tiramisu dessert was just the right amount. Highly recommended. I will return!

Decent Italian. Service was quick and the food tasty. The happy hours make the prices very reasonable which is likely why it was so busy. Will likely be coming back again.

The reviews sound great, but the food is average nothing spectacular. There are better restaurants at Newcastle CC

Food was really good, service a little slow but to be fair, it was busy. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Always nice to have coffee and pasta (only if sunny because you cannot go inside with your dog)

Visited for the first time last month. I had potato skins to start with a beautiful strong garlicky garlic dip - which I loved! My boyfriend who is GF had a garlic bread to start, normally GF bases are soggy, dry / clearly frozen but this was fresh and soft. The cheesy garlic bread was absolutely scrumptious! For mains, he had a steak which the waitress recommended which sides he could or couldn’t have with suffering from coeliacs which was helpful. I had lasagne which was gorgeous! Beautifully rich, filled to the brim which again you don’t get and the price was reasonable considering the meals were so good! We’ll definitely be coming back even though we were both stinking of garlic the next day 😂😂
