T. A.Searching for places to eat in the local area and this place popped up. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was absolutely exquisite. Spice hut Newcastle may be the best house special box I’ve ever had in my life !! Just annoyed I had to share it. Everything about this fast food branch was great. The place was clean and smelled good. The staff and greeter was very nice. Our greeter Saad was awesome, just want to finish of by saying if you want great food DON’T DELAY CALL SPICE HUT TODAY!!
D. R.- Not your average kebab shop…
- Absolutely banging. Used to order collection but it’s on delivery sites now. On collection there can be a little wait (as on delivery) but nothing egregious.
- the House special box with lamb chops at £19.49 is good value for money (especially with an UberEats code) as the quality is top tier and all parts complement each other so well. I think the price has been rising recently.
- Smashburgers are phenomenal and better than most burger only type places.
- the wings are meaty, grilled and flavoursome… ask them for mango flavoured wings for a nice surprise.
- Lamb chops are usually juicy, tender, thick and huge (tbh they were a bit tougher than normal last order though).
- donner and chicken kebab mix is tasty. Finished with spices and sauce, as opposed to just a traditional kebab.
- the nacho cheese fries are decent.

A. S.I ordered the loaded box meal! Chips were ok, burger was nice but the star of the show was the lamb ribs! So chewy that even my dog thought twice about eating them! I coated the wall when I was trying to Rio the "meat" from the bone and the whole thing came flying out my hands! Everything else was pretty ok! Don't feel so guilty about keeping quiet about the extra can of pop that was put in by mistake! 😎 Call it quits! 😘

Consisted of French fries, a quarter chicken, 4 Naga hot wings, lamb donner in a nice sauce with a decent bit of heat to it, salad and a selection of dips, one of which was tremendous!
Will 100 per cent be trying this place again!

Our local joint in South Shields had run out of beef for their burgers so we drove to Newcastle after reading other good reviews of this place. Glad we did! Will definitely be coming straight here in future. Burgers, chicken strips, wings and rice all top notch. If you haven't tried it you're missing out!

J.Easily the best 'munchie box' I've had in Newcastle. Every element was brill. Smash burgers are as good as anything I've had in the city, wings very good, lamb chops tasty and tender and the spicy doner is very nice.

S.Went here for the first time after hearing tons of good stuff about this place, so I got the mixed grill platter and the house special box for me and my family and I have to say definitely the best food about in the north east hands down, the quality of food, the freshness and the quantity everything about this place is excellent, the lads in the shop are very friendly and helpful too, I was spoilt for choice looking at the menu so the waiter helped me choose which I am thankful for because it was a great recommendation, highly recommend this place ran by bunch of young talented lads 😊

W.We ordered a smash burger meal (2 Angus patties, a hash brown, onion ring, some lovely sauce, melting cheese and salad), a Naga burger meal (chicken burger, spicy sauce and salad) and lamb kebab and they were all absolutely gorgeous. These are the juiciest and tastiest burgers ever!! We were also given a few chicken wings to taste and they will also be added to our order next time and they were really nice. The kebab meat is lovely and not like the cheap, fatty meat you get from some other takeaways. We also got a whole bunch of dipping sauces.
Thank you so much for your help in explaining what the different menu items were and stopping me from ordering something I would not have enjoyed as that was not my thing 😉

Just because item has sold out does not mean the whole menu ran out and shop should be closed come on people be honest and stop exaggerating I'm a regular customer and I have never had any problem what so ever its a takeout they bound to run out of stuff just goes to show that item is popular, 10/10 keep it up guys
