N. A.Went for lunch. Lunch menu was £9.95pp. 2-4-1 on a gin and tonic. So two of us paid £21.50 for a proper lunch. Food was good. Service was friendly with a good atmosphere. Would recommend trying this restaurant instead of an ASK Italian or Pizza Express.
J. B.Authentic Spanish cuisine. After living in the UK for many years, you forget how much you miss home cooking. This place brought me back to my childhood and the food we ate when we went out.
Staff were all super attentive as well and could clearly tell they were Spanish themselves. This made it extra nice when they were explaining the menu to my partner who is English.
If you come here you have to try the Gambas Al alijillo. They are spectacular and very much commonplace to see people up and down the country eating these.

j. b.Came for tapas before going to theatre so ate at 6pm. Quiet when we first got there but started really filling up by time we left at 7pm. Friendly pleasant staff and quick service. We got 7 dishes between us and they were pretty big so probably should have just got 6. Some more tasty than others - meatballs particularly good. Only lager for Daz and wine is either big glass 500ml carafe or bottle. Cold and draughty as it's close to Eldon Sq doorway- need some heaters!😩

R. V.The food was decent, and despite how small it looked it was very filling. The staff were nice, polite and efficient. I do not recommend the ham croquettes though, practically no ham in it and the texture is way too mushy. The main reason this place got 3 stars from me is the price. We paid £62 pounds for 7 little tapas plates (the recommendation on the menu said that 3-4 plates are the ideal to replace a main course) and 3 drinks. A bit too pricey for the food we received.
M. B.Decided to try here as had never been before but seen it had good reviews. It didn't disappoint. We were welcomed and sat quickly and our waitress was friendly and knowledgable about all the tapas dishes we asked about. I mentioned my dairy intolerance and they checked and double checked with the kitchen to make sure I could have what i wanted (in addition to checking the allergen menu). We ordered about 15 dishes between 4 and all of them were really good, special mention to the chicken wings though! They brought them out as they were ready and all the dishes were on the table within 15 minutes from the first one. Great tapas and great service, would love to go again.

S. P.In a nutshell: one of the best meal I've ever had! I am vegan and finding a proper restaurant is usually pretty difficult but their vegan menu is very tasty and it allows to try different flavours. My friend opted for the octopus tapas and the one with eggs and chorizo and they both looked great. We haven't tried the desserts but I had a coffee and it was surprisingly good, even better

Food was delicious, service friendly and helpful in answering any questions you might have. Spent about £50 altogether, but that included a jug of sangria and a huge selection of tapas, so much we could not eat everything, which was a shame.
Will definitely be going there again.

P. H.All enjoyed their food, unfortunately the food delivery was a bit disjointed. We didn't mind that there was a delay between the arrival of individual dishes as that adds to being able to chat, rather than just eat. We ordered two different set menu for two, for our table of four. One menu got it's third and fourth tapas before the other couple received their second, and then staff thought we'd finished when there was still a dish to arrive. This did not make it a totally negative experience as previously stated, everyone enjoyed their food. I would be surprised if we did not return.

M. P.First time visit to this restaurant today and will be back. Had the Classico set tapas menu, came out at a good pace - not all at once but not waiting ages for each one. Each dish was very tasty and we'll cooked. Service was friendly and efficient. And they serve Estrella on draft!

C. M.I visited this restaurant for the first time on a whim - I didn't know too much about it beforehand. We were asked if we had been before upon arrival, when I said I hadn't, the menu was explained to us by the lady serving us (Kinga). She not only explained to us how many dishes she recommended for each person, but she also recommended specific dishes, explained tastes and answered other specific requests about the menu & drinks. She really went above and beyond any other table service I have previously had, and I will definitely be coming back to the restaurant soon based on the staff's knowledge.

P. S.I was looking forward to going to Tapas Revolution, but I was slightly disappointed. The place was spotless, the toilets pristine and everyone was friendly and the food was quick to arrive (a few at a time). However, I think I went with greater expectations. After having tapas in Spain I expected more choice possibly, but more variety as well. More fresh dishes, salads, prawns, cheeses, crab, olives cured ham, salmon, different breads. The dishes we had were all eaten, so nothing was bad, the octopus was great, but there were too many fried dishes for my liking, and by the end I had that oily taste in my mouth. Not sure why they needed to serve fried chorizo in a bath of oil. Plus NB. If your near sighted remember your glasses, as the menu font is very small.
C. B.Nice decor, great staff. Unfortunately tapas is meant to be small bites at reasonable prices, as it is in Spain mostly. But I found it an expensive night out at just over £80 for two with a couple of glasses of wine each. So it's a three course meal price but the food is not that complex or as much. Still I expect they have to pay exorbitant rates or rent to be where they are hence the high prices.

E. F. (.Called in here Thursday 3rd Oct as had just returned from Spain and missing the tapas. Double whammy as we had a 25% discount code with our theatre ticket. We decided to sit on the stools at the bar so it felt more authentic. The staff were all so friendly. Emily, a student and part time bar person was so attentive, even though she was very busy serving, making cocktails, dishing out small plates of humous to customers etc. Jorge, a Spanish waiter on loan from the Birmingham branch, was talking to us about different areas of Spain, the culture, food, traditions etc. and couldn't have been lovelier. The food was amazing, we shared various tapas - serrano ham, marinated chicken wings, slow roasted pork shank, Tiger prawns & patatas bravas, washed down with a glass of Rioja & a pint of Estrella. Would DEFINITELY recommend it & we will return the next time we visit Newcastle! Thanks guys. Pam x

The food was very average, with limited seasonings and nothing fresh like the menu suggests. We ordered the chef's recommended tapas selection and it was a selection of bland flavours and deep fried foods, nothing like Spanish cuisine.
I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone.

C. D.Tapas Revolution has a nice atmosphere about it, the staff were all welcoming and friendly, there is a range of seating within and a good bar area. We opted for a jug of sangria and a few tapas - unfortunately although we did not receive one of our dishes which spoilt it a bit, the dishes were served staggered - I even asked the waitress if we were still going to receive the final dish but it never arrived.
Personally I think this place is rather expensive considering the portion size, and I know it's "snack food" but I've never seen such a small and expensive patatas bravas. I think if I return it will be for the atmosphere and a jug of sangria when it's happy hour.
