Server was friendly, and not his fault but service was slow. Other staff were a little inattentive and gloomy. Sesame chicken was very good. Lettuce on the side was not fresh. Cleaning liquids and other materials on the next table to ours. Overall, they need to step up their game.

It's been a while since I visited TGIFs and previously there were very few meat-free option. Now there's many more and, although I've only tried the burger, they all look delicious. The burger itself is good but the extra mushroom just makes it a bit of a messy experience The staff were excellent, quick and attentive. The atmosphere is different to what I was expecting, especially in the dark with all the lights on. Nice spot for a drink or a meal.

This is my second visit.. A lovely upper floor restaurant with lovely window seat views out onto to Newcastles beautiful streets.. Lots of architecture to view from the window while eating. We chose the Stack..it was lovely and great value for money. This is where the 5 stars really come into play... The staff are what I would call one of the best trained customer service people. You are looked after from start to finish, nothing is the bother... Highly recommend! Well done to all concerned! 👋👋👋

It was Ok nothing special. Had the American burger, loaded fries (not very loaded). Friends had chicken tacos which were nice but a bit too spicy. I struggled to find something I really wanted on the menu. Not what I expected sadly. Lovely staff though.

I normally enjoy coming out to Friday's, but it seems to be going downhill. The service was okay. The waitresses were friendly and came over a few times. It was very busy though, so I am happy we booked in advance. The food was quite dear for what we actually ordered. Normally the children's meals come with a dessert and drink, but it was just the main meal and the carrot, cucumber and apple cup. The downside to them just getting a mains is that while my wife and I usually eat, the children's food comes out at certain times to space everything out. This way they don't get restless. They did have a kids pack to keep them entertained with mazes, puzzles etc. The ribs were tender and soft to pull apart. The beans were okay, possibly warmed up from a can. The pizza was average. The pasta was average. The Sesame Chicken Strips were nice. Good amount and well seasoned. Not too spicy and not too bland. Probably the best of all 4 meals. The reason I gave it a 3: The pros: good service and view. Two families had birthdays so it was nice to hear the staff singing happy birthday. This could be embarrassing fro some though. The cons: overpriced for not a lot of food. Food was just average. Newcastle has a lot of other restaurants, but Friday's is close to the heart for me. It just seems to be going downhill. It's loud inside, busy and the food isn't what it used to be. The also took off the Bruce Lee Burger which was delicious. As always, prices are subjective. Take a look at the menu beforehand. Sign up for their newsletter as well and download the app as they have offers.

A great TGIF restaurant with a great staff to go along with it. Quick service and good food. Value for money and food presentation (on the dishes I had atleast) were great. We got a great table overlooking the street; a good view. A Tuesday evening well spent, would recommend anyone thinking of going here to do so. Great for big groups aswell!

The steak is slightly overcooked to my liking as I ordered it medium rare, but it's still acceptable and the rest of it is pretty good. Service is at a high standard and the interior is great for small or big groups. Would definitely come back.

Abbie was amazing as always. She’s a really good asset to the management team, it was really nice of her to sit and chat for the 5 or so minutes as we where one of the last customers. I feel Abbie has a long and very successful future with the company and if I could steal her to be one of my managers in Edinburgh I would All the staff are so lovely at this TGI’s some are a little shy but they still try. Abbie, Nicky, Mel, the manager with the badges on his hat (don’t know his name) always make us feel special and like where part of the family as we’ve become regulars there now

We where served by Nicky, She was really lovely and such a happy person, she was amazing with our two girls and went above and beyond to keep our girls happy as they got a bit hangry waiting for there food. She kept checking in on us to make sure we had what we needed and to chat with the girls, this made the girls very happy and comfortable they also loved colouring in and playing with the Dog shaped baloons. Nicky is a total credit to your team and next time we are in Newcastle we would definitely come in for food.

Visiting the restaurant today I was extremely well looked after. I have a shellfish allergy, and initially I was advised that I would not be able to pick what I wanted from the menu because of a risk of cross contamination. Dave, the duty manager, came to my aid by freeing up a clean grill to be to serve what I wanted. Excellent customer service, and excellent food.

Came in this evening to get food with friends. We were met by our waitress Melissa who was lovely and chatty. Our food was delicious and cocktails were perfect. Food came pretty much straight away. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was so friendly all round. Melissa’s recommendation of cocktails and food was great. Overall it was a very nice, relaxed evening. We will be returning again soon.

I came here for a birthday meal with a party of 10 people, and couldn't have asked for anything else. The food was excellent - tasted great and large portions. I requested to have £100 put on the bill, and was given a gift card for £100 to pay for all of my companions. The staff were fantastic and the service was great given the number of people in the restaurant. Would completely recommend and will 100% return.

The food was okay - on a par with other restaurant chains. The Eldon Square restaurant is a great place to be however. Big windows overlooking the Monument area. Light and spacious. Best of all on our visit was the excellent staff member who took our order and served our meal. Having learnt that we were celebrating some good news they surprised us with some simple but much appreciated additions that lifted the whole experience.

Good food selection, we did have a much longer than normal wait for our drinks which was 3 bottle beers and a cocktail. When our food arrived it was good but my chicken burger was burnt at one end and the beef burger was also a bit burnt. This may have just been a one off or because we dined rather late (8.30pm) but otherwise everything was fine and the waiting staff as always where pretty good.

Really nice place (new one in Eldon square) big and comfy. For a Tuesday night it was quiet and we got a window seat. Service was a bit slow but nothing terrible. Little pricey, but that's what you get at TGI. Food was brilliant, can't beat that Jack Daniels sauce.

Great venue with lots of nostalgia on the walls to look at. The menu has a wide variety of food on there however not many gluten free or vegan options but if you like general american fare, this could be an option. Jack Daniels BBQ sauce is an absolute must! It may seem a little pricey but they do fair size portions so its worth it. They serve a great range of cocktails at the bar, including all the classics. Generally a nice place for food.

Really excellent experience here today. My wife and I arrived with our 18 day old baby and were quickly accommodated to a quieter section of the restaurant even moving a table slightly to ensure we had room for the pram. Our food and drinks were great, but shortly after our plates were cleared away we were approached by the manager who explained he’d seen that I hadn’t eaten all of my burger. He wanted to know if it was because it was a little undercooked in the centre, and in fact it wasn’t I was just full from my starter and finishing my wife’s! - that’s how I’d normally order my burger but he did state that it’s not their policy and it should have been cooked through fully so removed the cost of my appetiser and burger from the final bill. Really excellent customer service and great food. We will certainly be back.

It's a great choice for family food. The price of 2 course set menue meal comes in £11, £13, and £15 offering better choices as you go up in price, however the selection of mains is your typical american style resturant so do keep that in mind. The starters are light, refreshing and decently portioned for what you pay for. The main courses are also properly filling and arent at all greasy like other american food joints and are full in flavors. The service is excellent, our waiter, Beth was always attentive and never leaving you waiting for more than a minute and truly represents what hard work standes for as well as all the other staff being friendly and very accomadating for young families. Overall this place is a good choice if you want good service and food at a price that doesnt break the bank.

We had a meeting in town and had a quick 40 minutes for lunch. We asked on arrival if this was long enough and they were only too happy to accommodate us. They seated us straight away and came right back over for drinks which came immediately after. They took our order and had it to the table in less than 10 minutes. The seseme chicken starter with dip was awesome and my chicken blt was lovely. They even packed my unfinished food in to a box to go. Food was great but I'll return for the amazing service.

Coming to TGIF after a long time, but have to say we really enjoyed the food from the new menu. The duck salad was well made with crispy meat and nice fresh veg with a sweet chilli sauce. The sesame cripsy chicken strips were spot on and the sauce was amazing. To top it off the Cookie Monster Shake was to die for! A nice late lunch delight 👍

I've visited this place a couple of times and was impressed every time. The staffs were very friendly - greeted you with a smile and chatted to you briefly at the table. They were also very helpful. I asked about some of the menu items and they were able to answer them promptly. The food came quick and tasted amazing! Definitely my favourite place. I wish the one at the Gate was as good.

With a waiting time of 45 minutes it won't take too long for places to go out of business as people will just think its impossible to get in and move on, or not bother at all, must've been a spate of booked tables as it was virtually empty, although a booked table of 6 waiting beside me couldn't be seated as there was no room which begs why let them book. Be warned pre book its a different world

Good location and good views out of the window to do some people watching of the street below. Usual burger, grills type menu, with a great cocktail/mocktail menu. The appetiser deal sounds like an interesting one to try. Staff were friendly and chatty, helping us get an earlier table and moving drinks between tables.
