Had a Just Eat delivery from here, arrived within the time slot and was nice and warm, i had the Tabbouleh, Falafel, Mango Lassi and The Bake Mixed Shawarma! All were tasty, the Falafel could do with a dip as it was slightly dry non the less it was still tasty 👌👍

I was sad to see some poor reviews about this restaurant: I was sad when I started eating our meal because it took me right back to my previous life in the Middle East! Great food, deserves to be busier. We waited in vain to be served in Kiln, which is a great spot but understaffed. We grew tired of waiting and walked just a few yards up the hill to this place. We got served quickly and the food was amazing.

Excellent friendly service I would recommend the eat-in experience as we enjoyed the complementary Lebanese flatbread with garlic, spicy tomato and houmous, and also delicious deserts. Lamb shish was beautifully pink and the mixed grill (no 57 on what looks like a takeaway menu) was generous and tasty with the rice we chose and raw onion salad. There was plenty to take home nicely wrapped which we ate the next day. So overall a delicious 3course meal for a reasonable price, will definitely return.

Had a couple of lunchtime takeaways. Soup was lovely, chicken shawarma wraps tip top. Felafel wrap very nice- possibly a bit too much garlic (and I love garlic). Chips fine but unseasoned- a dusting of salt/ pepper and paprika wouldn't go amiss. No big issues- nice guys and nice food. 30% discount for online takeaway order so great value. Stuffed for £5.95.

Incredible customer service and excellent food - After an outside delivery company (not naming any names) delivered our food to the wrong house The Bake graciously offered to send out the order again at their own expense, exceptional customer service! The initial order was eventually located at a house across the road (before another order was put in thankfully) so we were able to enjoy the food. Despite a slightly longer wait we thoroughly enjoyed the food and would highly recommend The Bake to anyone for their quality of food and customer care. In future we'll look to order over the phone or through Just Eat so they can send out their own delivery drivers.

Went twice here and both times the chicken and lamb shawarma is extremely bland. There's nothing there to season it! Compared to other restaurants you get much less flat bread but you do get rice or chips. 2 out of 6 of the people who came with us had bad bellies the day after. We all had the same thing. Overall the bake is a good entry level to taste Lebanese food but it's no where near the nice enjoyable ones. The main improvement is the seasoning on the shawarma.

I visited Newcastle and popped in the market , i found falafel el hana , i didn't expect to see middle eastern food in the market as i been there 3 years ago ... the manakish was amazing especially with the tea , i liked the sauce as well and the bites from the falafel wrap . . Visited on our end of month mates night & cant fault the staff. The venue is okay, food quantity big but where I had my concerns prior to going about it being potentially TOO spicy for my palette it turned out to be under flavoured. Would I go back, YES as you can take your own drink and are not pushed out of the door once you have eaten and the food flavour might be better.

I initially rated this establishment 3 when I came out feeling a little greasy but I think I just ordered the wrong food for my constitution ! My first experience of this type of cuisine. But on reflection the service was excellent, the atmosphere was good and the staff realistically couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a good night including taking the birthday cake I bought for my gf and lighting the candles to bring it over. The food tastes like it's proper fresh, the hummus is delicious and it goes along well with the amount of bread it comes with. Went here today for a meal while on a visit to Newcastle. Never had Lebanese food before but the food was amazing. Had the slow cooked lamb in a clay pot with rice and bread. Fantastic food, we had the mixed shawarma, cold mezze platter and falafel between three of us and we were very satisfied with the quantity and quality of food. It was all very tasty and cheap too! The staff were friendly and the service very fast which was great and it is BYOB which we loved.

Always have a great meal here, bring your own beer. The food quality is fantastic and the staff and very attentive and friendly. The location is a bit quirky but if you sit indoors then you'll hardly notice it, if you're after an outdoor eatery then your probably better off elsewhere. You get lots of free bread and a free desert it was great I love this place, 3rd time and still nothing bad to say. Great restaurant set in a lively area- very easy to get to (its just after the byker bridge on the right of the roundabout - lots of pubs nearby) The service here is always great - and the grilled food is always perfect. When we come as a family we get the large mixed grill which comes with a delicious grilled fish as well as tasters of all the other meats. The starters are good too - humus is delicious. Delicious food, great prices - lovely service - Recommend!

Honest food from a busy open plan kitchen to a very busy eating area. Bring yoyr own booze or water is free. I highly recommend booking. Everything i ordered and tried was tasty and fresh. My favourite place to eat in Newcastle. The food there is so fresh and tasty. My dad is a butcher and told me he’d rarely eaten meat of such good quality and so well seasoned, so that’s quite something! There are also many tasty choices for vegans and vegetarians, I would recommend the rice in vine leaves (warak inab).

I LOVE The Bake, honestly one of the best takeaways I've ever had (we're yet to eat in at the restaurant. When my husband and I choose to have a takeaway, we don't even need to discuss where we're going :). My favourite thing on the menu is the cheese manakeish - delicious! We're looking forward to coming into the restaurant when my family visits in a couple of weeks. Similarly, I'm so excited for the Grainger Market branch to open! If you love Lebanese food then you simply have to try The Bake.

The original and the best - perfect for a group meal before you head down the Ouseburn Valley. BYO, Morrisons nearby has alcohol but a disappointing lack of chilled beer/wine, then order lots of delicious meze, salads, bread, dips and meat. Food is fresh, quick and delicious. Ordered food from here for myself and colleagues. The food was delivered from the Byker branch and took a while to get to us. We ordered as soon as they opened at 11am ish. Expected food to taste fresh but unfortunately people were not impressed as some of it tasted like old food. Maybe left over food from the night before. That really bothered me because I was boasting about this place to them. Had to get similar food from another place for everyone the next time just to show them that it doesn't all taste like what we received from this particular establishment.
