This is one of my favorite restaurants in Newcastle and definitely my favorite Lebanese restaurant. I’ve been there for several times and I had it delivered. The food was super delicious every time. The prices are very reasonable and the proportion is generous. The staff are very attentive and friendly although the restaurant is always busy. And what I like about this place is that it stays open late. I tried their grilled beef and chicken kebabs, musaqaa, vegetable soup, grilled seabass, taboulah, mahalbya, baklawa. Whatever we tried was super delicious and their sauces are so tasty especially their mayo. You might need to book a table on weekends.

The hommos is amazing! The lamb is well cooked and tender, the chicken cubes melt in the mouth and the shawarma is also great. The only drawback for me would have to be the bread that comes out of a packet, whatever happened to freshly baked bread? The staff were courteous and softly spoken, which adds to the dining experience. However, on returning home and thoroughly checking the bill, I noticed that I was overcharged by £7, this was in addition to the 15% service charge (which I don't agree with, as I feel service charge should be the customer's prerogative).

We've been regular customers for the last few years. The Bake One Is our favourite place to order from. The wraps are delicious and the meat platters are excellent, always satisfied. We also placed a big order for 27 people the day before our wedding. It was delivered on-time to our venue near Druridge Bay and everything was accounted for. Our family enjoyed it so much, they asked to order again TWICE the week after!

Popped in for lunch today. Was fairly quiet and unfortunately on the hottest day on record it seemed the AC was either switched off or broken. We received bottled water for the table but again unfortunately this was very warm. Now the food. This is where everything changed. The menu is fairly expansive and it was a difficult choice to make. I settled for the small Mixed lamb grill with rice and colleague plumbed for the Lamb okra. These were brilliant. My three types of lamb were well cooked and very tasty. The pickles served along side, olives and garlic mayo with extra flatbread were also great. The lamb okra was a huge portion and again moist and tasty. The food was very good value for money. Not easy to park nearby but Definitely will be worth a second visit to try some of the many delicious sounding other offerings. Maybe on a cooler day or when the AC is on 5 stars will be on the cards.

Nice food but poor customer service. I collected an order and it was missing a portion of chips. So I called Bake One to be told that they will deliver the missing chips at once. 35 minutes later, and after we had finished eating, still no chips. Another call to Bake One to be told they will be delivered soon. We told them not to bother given the delay, and asked for a refund of the meagre £1.50 - we had to argue our case for a refund when it was Bake One mistake for not including the chips in our order. It's a real shame because we have been customers for years and the food is good, but will certainly ask staff to check the order in full next time (they seal all the bags so not possible to check at time of pick-up).

Ive had many kebabs living in London with so many turkish and lebanese restaurant london has the most choices one could obtain. The most famouse shawarma for those in the know in london is from helens cafe in edgware road. I travelled to newcastle to deliver a kitchen for a costruction site(fml) and at 1 am happen to find this restaurant open. The man who served me was so nice and offered me a free drink "i must of looked drained from 5 hours drive time".....what happened next shocked me. I ate the lamb/chicken shawarma and it was AMAZING and was just as nice as the one from cafe helen. However it was half the price!!! You newcastle folks dont know how lucky you are!

Saturday late lunch here and while it was quiet, the food was still excellent. Taking advantage of the fact on street parking restrictions aren't active from 1-3, we parked a street away and took the short walk. The food was excellent, both having a wrap with chips and salad. The chicken was tender and juicy and the halloumi cooked to a delicious texture. With some extra sides, the meal came to just over £20, which is excellent for the quality.

I have tried this restaurant twice so far and it was excellent in both times. One of the best middle eastern food in Newcastle. Just to suggest to make an option for Tehina along with chilly and garlic sauce and another option for no sauce as I was forced to chose garlic or chilly when I ordered online via just eat although i don't like either as there was no option for no sauce.

Was hoping to find a takeaway who makes parmos like they do in boro and a bit more for the price, parmo had a bout 5 pence worth of bechemel (should be more bech than chicken lmao) and the chicken was tough n dry, and were skimpy on the cheese. If you want decent portions stomach satisfying juicy meat kebabs come here it’s one of the best around and the salads are ace! Don’t be afraid to be cheeky to the staff for extra tubs of garlic sauce too! Service can be sketchy at peak times but it’s still a well run operation. Nice to be able to bring your own drinks when dining too. Discount when you order online too. Go for the mixed platter for two (around £25) well worth it! Maybe add a side if your greedy like me!

Ordered a take out from this place and certainly was not disappointed. The menu didn't specify how many persons the food was for, but we ordered one portion and hoped for the best. There was ample for both of us and it was beautiful. Waste of time ordering chips as an extra portion as we couldn't even get to those. WILL DEFINITELY be using them more regularly!!!

After a recommendation from a work colleague I decided to take me and my family for a meal out at this restaurant. Called to book a table in advance as it is a popular choice especially at the weekend. And it was certainly busy. The staff I spoke to on the phone where very friendly and efficient. The food is delicious at this restaurant. No question about it. The only issue we had was or main course took about an hour to arrive. Which gave us time to bond as a family but is still a bit of a wait. Although understandably busy. The food eventually came and I made the staff aware of my concerns about no one really apologising nor communicating the delay. From this point they turned things over and went the extra mile to ensure we where happy and taken care off. They apologized profusely. I do think it was just an oversight on their part on this occasion with the busyness so I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Update: they called me back and asked for details of my experience. They care about customer satisfaction so 4 stars for good communication & customer service. Just to be clear, I’m not changing my review because of a discount or free food. I didn’t get anything from them in return, I just like businesses who care about their customers. I’m still upset that the juice is not fresh though. Today I placed another order and the orange juice was clearly bottled (or mixed with it) but NOT fresh. So if you fancy fresh juice don’t come here. Two bad experiences, I doubt I’ll ever order from them again. Last week they sent me a non fresh orange juice in the order (customers are not stupid) and chips were dry and hard to eat. Today I placed my order on their website and it was acceptedu. After an hour and 30 mins I called to ask about my order they said they didn’t receive it or it was cancelled Though I have the receipt. No apology from them.

Well now, this was a suprise! Fancied some Turkish mezze but couldn't be bothered to head into town. Came across this takeaway on Just Eat and thought i'd give it a try (actually ordered on their own website in the end). I can't remember what the meal was that we ordered but it had a great selection of lamb and chicken, some flatbreads, salad, plenty of dips/sauce and the highlight for me - the arayes. Completely delicious from start to finish and we'll certainly be making a return visit.

Chicken kebab and fried halloumi was really tasty. The starters are really good aswell. For dessert I had the mahalepi with mango sauce which was really nice. Alcohol is not served at the restaurant so you are more than welcome to bring yours. Big parking space next to the restaurant by the traffic lights. The place is cash only

Shared the Mega Kebab with my adult son and we just barely finished it, The staff kept providing dips and bowls of olives and bread as and when we ran out of them. Prices are quite reasonable and the food was delicious, will definitely be going back. Just to point out this is a Lebanese restaurant. Just been back for a second time (16/01/2020) food still delicious but forgot they are cash only so had to pop out to a cash machine prior to eating. And will be going back soon.

This was our first visit to 'The Bake One' and I have to say it was an enjoyable experience! - An intimate location, perhaps a little cramped, with a positive atmosphere, warm service and there was an extremely authentic feel to the food, cutlery and decor. Although there is no alcohol served on the premises the staff are very welcoming and invite you to bring your own alcohol if you wish, even going to the extremes of chilling your beverages until you are ready to be served! As a large group we ended up with masses of food, fresh breads, dips, spreads, platters of meats, rices, seasonsed chips, salads etc etc. To be honest, it was quite overwhelming, but that was probably more a result of our own enthusiasm in ordering such a vast selection of dishes from the enticing menu!! The waiters were always attentive, service was extremely fast, and ultimately the food was hearty, authentic, packed full of flavour and deliciously more-ish. Highlights of the evening were the atmosphere (nice and busy), great service and 'authentic' taste of the food. If you like carbs then this is definitely the place for you. However, for some this could also be a bit too much of a good thing! The only negatives were the fact that the table at times looked like a bomb had literally landed on it, but once again this was probably as much a consequence of our own choosing, combined with the fact we were all having such a damn good time! We will definitely be returning and plan to take our kids next time. All in all 4 out of 5 this time and 'GREAT value for money'..... well done 👍🏻

There were olives and 2 sauces out when we sat down,garlic and chilli, some might prefer fresh ones brought at the time. To start we had the hummus which was nice, they swapped out the bread for cucumber and tomatoes to meet dietary requirements. They also reassured us that in around 1 months time the menu should reflect gluten and dairy free options...which in all fairness the waiter pointed out anyway and there was plenty of choice. The beetroot hummus wasn't as nice as the chilli one, the texture was less smooth. For the main we had the 'King' and chose the vermicelli rice. The king was a good mix of chicken, lamb, pork and beef...i think! By that I mean it was tough to decide what some of it was...not that it didn't taste really nice, it did. My only gripe was the pork was really dry, we didn't eat much of it. On a whole the meal satisfied. My apple juice was on the house! Cheers :) oh and no room for dessert.

We went last night as a group of 7 ladies (One of the ladies had been a couple of times & suggested this to us). I’ve never been to a Lebanese restaurant so was unsure what the food would be like. I had Chicken Shawarma Wrap which tasted very nice, lovely fresh salad & the chips.. I have to say I was well impressed & will definitely return. The staff went above & beyond to accommodate us as I’m disabled & they kindly done a shuffle of tables to make sure that we were sitting downstairs (I have to thank the people that were sitting in that table first as they kindly moved upstairs for us) The staff were great as I was leaving & kindly took my wheelchair outside to the car. Although the restaurant has no disabled facilities (WC etc) & the toilets are upstairs so people with mobility issues may struggle... I would still most definitely recommend for people to try.. Make sure you haven't eaten for at least a day before going for a meal at The Bake One. That's if you want to give yourself any chance at all of finishing your main course! To be fair, that may depend upon what you choose, I suppose (and the Super Bake Mixed Grill is massivo even for two), but the portion sizes do seem to be a little on the large side, irrespective. No worries on that front though as a 'doggy bag' would appear to be almost obligatory unless you are particularly adept at completing 'Man Vs. Food' challenges. One slight grouse was that the houmous we ordered didn't appear until after a reminder was given when the rest of the food arrived. However, this then arrived in an instant. The staff are courteous & very friendly and checked that we were happy with our food. Just as well I was, as I'll happily be having 'lip-licking leftover Lebanese' for the remainder of the month. Oh, the coconut ice cream seemed to be pretty scrummy, too - judged by the two or three spoonfuls that I managed to share. Women can't half be quick eaters when they put their minds to it!

There are 2 doors, one is kept closed permenantly but there was a wind right through the that one. Obviously the seal is gone. Its a pity that you need to check the weather as part of your decision. We were not on the nearest table but it cooled our food rather quickly, hence our meal was partially wasted. Either close the blinds or have that door sealed!!
