First time visiting here whilst in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, this place was recommended by a family member who uses it frequently and spoke highly of the quality of the food and service. It's located in what appears to be a railway carriage attached to a building, very interesting layout! I only called in to get a takeaway so didn't get to experience the full dining atmosphere. Food was VERY good! The gentleman who welcomed me and another who brought my food to me were both pleasant and friendly. Definitely worth a try, and reasonably priced too.

Just been tonight absolutely fantastic night. Fantastic food and atmosphere never have I ever seen such a bunch of hard working well groomed staff they were all absolutely immaculate their standards were well above that of British Airways cabin crew. Whoever the management is there they certainly have it right I just hope the staff there get the praise they deserve they are all outstanding. I'm at firm believer of starting at the bottom of the pyramid not the top the staff certainly made that restaurant tonight and the management should be proud. What a lovely bunch of people I will certainly visit again x

Good food and ambience. Staff were friendly: Slow service, unfortunately. We waited an hour from and a half from ordering just to get our starters. The mains, however, came a lot quicker. I’ll go here again and see how it is next time

Came here for valentines day on the recommendation of a few friends, can say it absolutely didn't disappoint. Wonderful food, beautifully cooked - the best korma I've had. Beautifully spiced, rich curries. There was a great deal on for valentines so I can't speak for the normal prices, but we were very happy with what we paid. Absolutely huge portions as well, we had a starter and a main each and couldn't finish. Friendly and helpful staff, we had an issue with the reservation confirmation and they were able to fix it straight away. The best restaurant I've found in Newcastle so far - I can't wait to go back!

I recommended the The Valley Junction to my family and I went again today with my parents for their holidays. The food was as delicious, if not better as I remember. The service was good and the waiters were polite. I can recommend this place if you want to have a delicious and filling meal with no loud background music. This is great if you want to invite friends for dinner and a conversation.

Hi we tried this restaurant last Sunday evening.. The food was great although a little expensive for a curry.. We thought the prices for poppadoms and pickles were pretty steep plus rice at 3.50 a small bowl... A bit too much really!! The surroundings are very pleasant but the tables are rather too close to each other... My main criticism however is that we found the staff to be rather arrogant and short.. The restaurant was busy so the service was a little slow.. And we felt like we were a bother. Not sure if we will visit there again for a long while

We booked a table for four and enjoyed a wonderful evening at The Valley Restaurant Corbridge which has a wonderful location and is the actual railway station house. We were greeted by a very pleasant member of staff and taken to our table, the atmosphere was very good and the food fantastic. I was told you can actually get the curry train from a number of locations direct to The Valley Restaurant which we are going to try out sometime. A very nice experience which I highly recommend.

We arranged 60 takeaways for a function - a mix of korma, Bakri and madras plus pilau and boiled rice and plain, garlic and peshwari naan breads and poppadoms. All beautifully cooked and not one complaint - all feedback was very positive and meals enjoyed. We also find the restaurant meals and service excellent hence using Valley Junction for the function.

'Valley Junction 397' - the very name takes me back to the university days and our Wednesday night takeaways. I think we only visited them once or twice, which is a shame, as the USP is that you get to eat curry in an old railway carriage, what a treat given the central role the railway plays in India's national life. Instead we'd knock back our Chicken Madras and Garlic Naans at our student digs, which were far less salubrious. From memory the curry was not exceptional but pleasant enough. Visit them in person for maximum impact.
