An amazing Indian buffet at Bengal Cymru! Very inviting atmosphere and the staff gave us an attentive service. Great variety of starters, mains and desserts. Each curry was distinctive and tasty. They also had a lot of child friendly dishes and treats.

We traveled from Cwmbran to here, just wanted to try somewhere different. It was pretty quiet while there. Food was nice and nicely set out. I liked the fact that everything was covered up. Prices were the same as other places we have been to. Only one thing I didn't like was how dark it is in there. They need to get slightly brighter bulbs. I like to be able to see what I'm eating. I don't understand why restaurants these days need to have such a dark atmosphere. Makes me think, what are they trying to hide. Other than that, yes we probably would go back but not in a hurry

Love going to Bengal Cymru for its self service all you can eat food, it has a variety of Indian dishes as well as english food, e.g. chicken nuggets & chips for children. Staff are friendly, restaurant is clean especially around food area. You can help yourself to the food as many times as you like, also desserts are very good ranging from fruit, ice cream and small cakes. They also have set meals, so deciding on what you want depends on the cost. I find it us best to book as it is a small restaurant, it also a small car park.

Great place, wasnt happy that they charged me extra for my Christmas meal, the sign in the car park was "last years Christmas poster" well as I said ...take it down as its wrongful advertising, they did then charge me the advertised price ! Naughty......how many people that day paid the incorrect price ?

I've been twice now with a few friends who always order the buffet. I'm vegetarian so am always a bit wary of buffets, but as soon as the staff hear they go above and beyond to ensure I always enjoy my meal! They always give me the most delicious starters and allow me to order off the main menu. Staff are very helpful and I love the decor. Will definitely be back!

Visited here for a birthday meal and was not let down, great service and good food, lots of different dishes to try, even on desserts. Table reservation would be advised as it was very busy when we were there. Only thing I would say in a negative manner would be the layout of the restaurant, the queue for food backed up all the way passed where people were sitting and right in front of the dessert stand, which wasn't helpful, plus, being a small place, the walkway between the tables was/is very narrow, which could present a problem for wheelchairs, however, I can't say for certain as I'm sure the staff, being as good as they are/were, would have accommodated. Also, the car park is tiny, I would recommend finding alternative parking. With all that being said, I do recommend this place and would definitely visit again!

This restaurant was recommended to me by friends. Now I am going to recommend it to anyone reading this. It is rare that an establishment impresses me enough to write a review but Bengal Cymru has done exactly that. Every single member of staff was very friendly. I thank them all for enhancing our evening. The food was brilliant with a very wide selection of curries, rice dishes and even staple kids choices. Desserts aren't usually my thing but I did find something here that was very good. I only question the use of the large TV screen playing slides of New York City on loop. Also, this must have been the first Asian restaurant that has not been playing music stereotypical to the cuisine. All in all, a great night for our entire party. Thank you to everyone at Bengal Cymru.

Obviously things have changed during lockdown, managed to fill up on loads of curries and stuff, it was more table service these days so the guys are working harder. We asked about desert and the waiter said we could have rumdumley so we all thought ohh what could that be and our minds were working overtime. then they brought out deserts to the table and we looked at each other and laughed "randomly" Keep up the good work!!

Party of over 40 people for the buffet and they coped with no problems even going out of their way to prepare separate dishes for vegatarians so no cross contamination. Food was delicious and great value for the all you can eat buffet as £2 cheaper on a Sunday!

Excellent food and plenty of although there is one huge problem . My son in law has a severe nut allergy .we asked a few members of staff what he could eat and we had a different response each time . None of the dishes carried any allergy warnings ..Considering this is a life threatening condition and the severe consequences have been well publicised lately , I think the lack of knowledge and indifference shown was shocking in the least.
