B. H.Enjoyed a 'nice' meal with friendly service - been some time since our last visit.
With a little polish, could be so much better. The cooking lacks flair and things like chips were a little greasy. Battered cod had too much thick & heavy batter although the fish inside was OK. My venison steak was nice but lacked seasoning and flavour. The truffle promised in the gratin was very muted. Lemon tart should be singing with bright lemon but again was bland.
A good venue for a family meal or with children. comfortable and friendly.

C. J.A visit to Junction 28 in Bassaleg is like revisiting an old friend, nothing ever seems to change much. This was our first visit since before lockdown, we had a really enjoyable lunch and it was nice to see additional vegetarian choices on the menu. The service as always was attentive and the food was beautifully.

A. A.My latest visit (at lunchtime) was very good - staff helpful and friendly, food delicious (had the lunchtime menu of 3 x courses - lamb shoulder for me).
Glad they still do the complementary bread and butter - its little things like this that actually make it stand out from the rest.
Children's menu was great - a generous portion of fish and chips followed by ice cream was soon devoured!
Thank you and please keep doing what you do - independent restaurants of this quality are a rare thing and should be cherished!
M. C.Attended for Sunday lunch table for four. Good car park with parking on road outside if required. Great place, friendly and efficient staff. Spacious restaurant with not to many tables crammed in as some places do. Menu was good, food was well prepared and presented. Portion sizes were right. Reasonably priced.
Z. R.Came here for lunch on a Saturday and really enjoyed! The food we had was fantastic and packed with flavour. Loads of vegan options (even a separate vegan set menu) with a good range of options that were different from the usual! I had the aubergine rolls with ratatouille which was delicious and biscoff crumble after - so good! Fairly priced and good atmosphere - would definitely visit again! :) thank you!

V. P.Such a lovely place. This was our first time visiting post-pandemic and the place looked great.
Embarrassingly, the booths are a little tight for plumper patrons 😄
But there were plenty of tables available.
My partner and I enjoyed the set menu - dining on pork loin with garlic cream cheese and jus, with a splendid chocolate-orange creation for afters.
Would definetly come back yet again.
