Took the kids to the Farm(another amazing place). We were famished after half a day of play. We went to The Cow as it was the nearest and possibly one place to eat. Have to say that the food was amazing. All the items ordered were tasty and felt like a gourmet dish. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Isle of Wight. The staff were exceptional too. The service was quick and the requirements were understood correctly. The Cow was a fantastic eye opener. A big Moo to the team.

Wow what a find, this place is massive! Restaurant, farm shop, holiday let’s, aqua park, play area and all in a beautiful setting! The burgers are incredible, we make a lot of burgers at home & love BBQ’s so to find something this special out was a treat! Upgrade to Dirty fries as these are fab!! The Mermaid Gin Cocktail with Rosemary Garnish was really good too, could drink a few of those. Big portions and we didn’t manage a dessert, so another visit needs to be on the cards! Highly recommend a visit! ⭐️

What an excellent place to eat! As per the name, much of the menu is dedicated to the wonderful beef produced locally, but there was also some chicken and veggie options. Not so much for my vegan wife, however the burger that she had went down extremely well! I had the special, a steak sandwich with cheese sauce and an amazing tomato and whiskey chutney! If you're on the Island visiting, you could do a lot worse than a meal at The Cow!

We had a really lovely lunch here after a visit to the Needles. The burgers were very tasty with a good selection to choose from. Ordering was easy through the QR code on the table and staff were friendly. I tried to book through their website and it was showing as no availability so I called and got a table no problem. Milkshakes looked amazing, too sweet for my taste (luckily the beer was also good) but my kids loved them. Completely recommended!

I came here as a solo diner on a whim after looking for somewhere to grab dinner last minute. I made a reservation on their website and it was confirmed within a couple of hours. I brought my pooch with me, great that it's dog-friendly. The staff were very welcoming and I was very impressed with their service. Food was yummy too, I had the Smoky Burger and there was plenty of it. The gingerbread panna cotta for dessert was tasty too, perhaps didn't need so much compote but was still good. When I'm next on my Isle of Wight adventure I'll be sure to pop back.

Nicely themed restaurant in a super spot on the farm. Upstairs seating has great views, burgers were really nice but a tad expensive so we went for plain ones. Plenty to do on farm as well so thumbs up 👍👍from me.

A family lunch. Now we don't like to brag, but we do seem to eat our fair share of burgers, and we like to think we have had the best.. well from this visit we now know we have had the best. The service shakes and burgers were amazing. Could eat here every day.

Evening meal with the wife and puppy, staff very attentive, offered a bowl of water for the dog. Live music outside on the grassed area. Bar nibbles, olives, sundried tomatoes, onions, salt crust nuts absolutely delicious. Main we both had the pig smoked burger, beef patty topped with pulled pork. Rates highly as possibly the best burger I've had and I've had a lot of burgers!! Beers from the IOW brewery, very nice. Overall a very enjoyable evening.

Mooooooo... Stumbled here by fate and so glad we did, as soon as we walked in the server was so cheery and happy. The burgers were so juicy and massive! Very reasonable price for the portion and quality! The mocktails were very yummy too. Will definitely come back when I visit Iow again! ❤️

Been here twice now, so good! Went to Tapnell farm park, booked our table for 1.15pm perfectly in time for our session to finish and get seated at our table. Great service, order all on the app and delivered to your table. Friendly staff, fast service and lovely views outside. The burgers are out of this world, they also have a number of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages to choose from.

Absolutely fantastic food, completely deserving of all the praise and recognition as the best burgers on The Isle of Wight. Generous portions, great quality ingredients and a variety of toppings and sides. We had the Moo and blue, Matador and Louisiana Chicken. Great service and a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The multicolored herd of cow sculptures was a lovely touch. When they next need updating it may be a really nice idea to open up a design a cow competition for younger diners with a cow template and colouring pencils to keep them busy? We have been wanting to eat here for such a long time. We finally went to the Cow for a meal today and we were extremely happy with them. The service was great the team were extremely helpful for us. Half of our party was on the Keto diet, after asking a member of the team they were able to help us out. We lost all the carb products and added a sausage to our order instead. We're were so happy they done this for us. The meal was great we all enjoyed it alot. I can't wait to finish my diet so I can come here again and enjoy the full experience!

I would say this place is a must visit. Pleasantly surprised with the great vibe it has and it is a spacious restaurant. Their food and service is great. Very much liked the Cow theme they follow throughout. In the same farm they also have archery, axe throwing etc., activities if you're interested. I didn't have much time to check them out though. Absolutely superb! I'm gutted I can only leave 5 stars! We've been holidaying on a bit of a budget, but we decided to treat ourselves to one dinner out this week. We chose The Cow because we'd never been, despite coming to IoW most years, and because the adverts boast they are the best burgers on the island. Keen to put this to the test and I'm happy to say it surpassed expectations. The burgers really were amazing, slightly pink in the middle, juicy and flavoursome. I also upgraded my fries to dirty fries and I recommend you do the same! I'd like to give a shout out to the kitchen crew as well - we were sat on table 11 next to the serving hatch and they seemed a brilliant team, working fast and efficiently and finding time to throw some banter around, making me miss my years in a kitchen! The chef on the pass even shouted Cheers/have a good night as we left. Also while I think of it, a note to management: The Kitchen crew have better taste in music than the in-house playlist! Haha! I'd much rather have listened to their 90s/00s pop-punk playlist than the elevator friendly 80s list you had on the speakers! But they didn't have it too loud, I can just pick out The Offspring really easily - please don't take away their radio! The only downside to our whole visit was that there was a noisy dog inside the restaurant for the first part of the meal, barking really loudly and making my son (who's terrified of dogs - but we're working on it) jump with every bark. We all talked about our meal the whole drive back to our caravan - a sure fire sign that we'll be back in 2022! Thanks guys!

One of the best burgers I've ever eaten, and I've had a few! An excellent venue that runs with it's theme. A tall barn of a place, with kooky decor and fun touches everywhere that let you know you're not in a generic diner. The menu is not exhaustive but the burgers are the stars of the show. A big thumbs up for the non-alcoholic 'gin' type cocktails which are delicious and difficult to distinguish from the boozy versions. Friendly staff too and very fast service. Booking recommended to avoid disappointment. I'm extremely glad this place is a ferry trip away otherwise this place would cost me a fortune!

We love it here! Options for the whole family and good children's menu. We went twice in the week we visited IoW recently. We love the chocolate milkshake too! The sweet potato fries and chicken were very good 😋 My husband loved his steak and chips.

Wow! Probably the best burger I have ever had! Greeted with a smile. Really good 'covid-care' service with plenty of hand sanitiser, space between tables and an online ordering app that was really easy to use. Beautiful views out over the countryside. I ordered the Blue Cheese burger with 'dirty' fries and it was amazing. Huge portion size so not only good value for money but absolutely delicious. My wife had the mushroom burger and said she can't wait to get back to try it again! Kids enjoyed their meals as well and portion sizes were perfect. Can't wait to visit again next time we're (allowed) on the island!!

One of the best burgers I've had... I'm not really a big fan of burgers because they tend to be too dry or too messy for me. However the way the patties were cooked were just right, it's has the right texture on the outside and juicy on the inside. But the highlight of the burgers for me, were the buns. There's just something about the bun that goes well with the patties and anything you put in it. They serve big portions and you can have half of it to go and it'll still taste the same.It is a must try and also very affordable. They implemented a good protocol on handling business during this CoVid era, it gives confidence to the customers that their food are handled well. The staff are also very accommodating and the place is well maintained.

Visited The Cow for my daughters 21st birthday 🎂 this eatery is one of a kind! We were seated upstairs and the views are absolutely outstanding! The staff went above and beyond as I had forgotten my daughters birthday cake and they added candles to our dessert! Plus the food was delicious 😋 and the staff very smiley and friendly! Lovely chips and burger was ok. I had the smaller burger as we were eating at lunchtime. If you prefer a well done burger you must say when ordering as I don't like any pink meat in my burger and so it was under done for me. My husband however loved his burger! Not really impressed. The food was mediocre, nothing to rave about. Asked for a bitter shandy and the waitress didn't even know what bitter was. Order was presented wrong, one waitress even told me I was wrong when I asked for a different type of burger bun. Staff standing in groups chatting. Overcharged and when questioned was made to feel as if I shouldn't have, excuses made by staff. We won't be returning for overpriced average food.

Have been a couple of times now when over the island and would have no hesitation going again. Staff are always pleasant and attentive, even when busy and the food is always top notch, especially the steak, cooked to perfection. Really enjoyed the burgers here - so much so that we returned a few days later. Easy to order on app and had quick service. Nicely chilled water served up in addition to our drinks. Not an extensive menu but what we had was all very good. My only slight issue was that this is served in a cardboard carton and I would much rather eat off a plate in a restaurant - however this did not bother my other half at all and proper cutlery is supplied - so no stars deducted! Our dog was welcomed too. We felt the service was friendly & efficient and look forward to returning in the future. That was Sep 2021. **UPDATED JUNE 2022 - very good service once again - excellent server and I’m pleased to say we had our food served on plates.

Genuinely the best burger I've ever had! I had the matador, with the best softest tastiest chorizo and prefect amount of spice and heat. The fries were crunchy on the outside and soft inside and the gluten free bun was perfect too. The salted caramel milkshake was delish and made with ice cream. Decor was brilliant, loads of wood, cow artwork, with an industrial creative farm vibe. Views are lovely, service fab! Can't recommend this place enough. They even have great looking vegetarian and vegan stuff. Yum.

One of the best burger joints I've been to. Visited for lunch whilst staying at Tom's Eco Lodge. Recommend the 'Burger Sharing Platter', was the perfect for the two of us. Amazing setting and very uniquely decorated. Make sure you book ahead though!

Was visiting the island for a few days with my other half, The Cow was recommended by work colleagues who’d been before, and for good reason, the place is just spot on. Simple online table booking and meal ordering system (we used their app for the food which is easy to use). Welcoming staff, rustic decor with a sense of humour, a venue that’s great for families, friends and couples alike. For all the simplicity the food was top notch, the burgers really ruining my current favourite place on the mainland. So good we went back again the following day. Making plans to return to the island with friends on our bikes and make this our lunch stop. Recommended to me, I’d recommend The Cow to anyone.

We stopped here for lunch on the way through to elsewhere. What a result that was. If your a fan of burgers then your really not going to go wrong! Both the burger and the beef hot dog we chose were delicious as were the dirty fries. My only complaint would be the price of the milkshake relative to size. In fairness it tasted great though. Its a shame, two years ago this place would of got a 5 stars. The staff deserve 5 stars they were so kind and helpful. I found it difficult to navigate their menu,couldn't scan the code to order food due to my phone not having the app, the staff were a brilliant help. The food,well, not much of a choice if you didn't want Burger's. Had a beef sandwich that was overpowered by a curry flavoured chutney, with fries. My wife settled for fish and chips. The fish looked a little like it had been doubled fried in a beer batter that had a distinct curry flavour. This place is fine for a meal while visiting the very popular attractions of Tapnell farm perfect burger bar lunch. Not that good as a stand alone restaurant. The food was lovely but ultimately over shadowed by a lack of thought for customers. As if taking a young family out to lunch isn't a logistical nightmare already you'll have to self order on a tiny menu on your phone, which is fine but doesn't bode well for those poor of sight, you'll spend 15 minutes just taking orders and ensuring it's all correct and then wait for an hour before the food arrives and try to entertain your kids whilst they too become irritated and bored at the wait. The saving grace was that the food was very good.

We ended up wasting a lot of food but I suppose that shows how generous and good value for money it was. My only criticism was that the cokes could have been in a bigger glass! The chicken was ok but a bit dry for my liking. I always end up comparing it to Nandos and so far no chicken has ever tasted as good as theirs. The chicken could have been more succulent and tastier. But apart from that the food was really good.

Fantastic. They have transformed an old dairy farm into a superb multi dimensional location, with aqua park, foot golf and quirky places to stay. There is even an onsite bus stop! But it's all so well designed, they generate their own electricity and have their own water supply. Everything is recycled. I ate here with my family this week. It was our first visit to a restaurant since lockdown, and we were a little apprehensive, but the staff made us feel at ease.There were stringent safety measures in place including contactless ordering and payment using an app, clear one way signage in the restaurant, hand sanitiser provided on every table, single use trays and cutlery (all recyclable), and the staff adhering to social distancing. Although the app was initially a little tricky to figure out, using it meant that we were able to pre-book both our food and a time slot to eat. We arrived, and, our food was ready soon after. We were alerted to the fact by an announcement on the cow screen in the outside eating area. The food was great and good value for money. My youngest son who is a very picky eater has since talked about his chicken burger being the best chicken he’s ever tasted! Overall we were very pleased and will definitely be visiting again.

A great restaurant in the West Wight. The Cow is a cow-themed restaurant specialising in steak and burgers, but there are plenty of other options available on the menu! We love going here for a meal, the portions are generous and food is very fresh and locally sourced where possible. They have steaks of the day on a board, so you can choose from any number of steaks, e.g. Las Vegas Strip, Hangar, Sirloin, Fillet Minion etc. Whist this restaurant is slightly more expensive than others, it's well worth it as a treat or special occasion! Don't forget to keep an eye out for The Price is Wight vouchers for the Cow!

with a strong cold November wind coming off the Solent, Trapnell Farm was a haven from the extremities. From the start, the initial welcome was warm ,and was echoed by all the staff. Contented animals are housed in perfectly laid out & clean pens , there is the excitement of the go karts , zip wires, a four storey jungle gym and an inovative straw bale adventure course , for different ages and all under cover. Hours of fun & we were still unable couldn't get round and try all the facilities and guided tours. Back this Christmas (if open) .... viva Trapnellians.

Ok this is a good burger.. but to be honest.. The standard by far is Dip & Flip burgers in Tooting... That is by miles the benchmark... The buns could do better.. The wagyu beef add on.. Honestly you won't taste much more.. Fries were good.. But imagine.. Could be awesome if you had truffle oil on them... Good and very good... But not the best...
