Absolutely loved this place , from the text message the day before to confirm booking to the VERY attentive waiters & waitresses Food was amazing in a beautiful restaurant We had a bread 🍞 tin starter and ordered 6 dishes to share , unfortunately no room for dessert 🧁 Next time we will miss starter and have 5 dishes and squeeze in dessert 👌🏼 Really enjoyed our 1st of many trips here

One of the best restaurants in Northampton, if not the best. We were warmly greeted by Stuart and his team on arrival, Charlie and Martina made sure we were comfortably seated and that we were well attended to throughout our visit. Stopped in #northampton on our road trip and had the pleasure of dinning at this gem of a restaurant @nuovorestaurant , amazing Italian tapas style small plates bursting with authentic flavors. 4-5 plates between two people were more than enough, oh yes not forgetting the desert is must try. Amazing atmosphere and friendly attentive staff went through plates also recommended some amazing plates to try. @nuovorestaurant you get a massive 👍 from me, I can’t wait to come back again to try other plates. If you are visiting don’t forget to book in advance as they get very busy.

This is another restaurant that we haven't been to in a while, so we decided to give it another visit. Booking was made and a gentle reminder txt message was received a couple of days before ensuring we were still coming, was a nice touch. We visited on a Saturday night, the week before Christmas and even though they had had a few cancellations because of the Omicron variant, they were still busy. Always a good sign. The staff greeted us with a friendly, warm welcome and even allowed us to change tables three times before we even sat down (sorry, wife is fussy :-) ), as the first one was near the kitchen, second one was near the toilets and finally we sat at the back on the raised flooring as that is the best seating in our opinion. They gladly cleared and cleaned the table whilst we waited to be seated. Nice choice on the menu, reasonably priced and had excellent service. One of the dishes we ordered, they actually cooked the incorrect one, but was speedily rectified. Overall it was a really good experience and we have now added this to our must return on a regular basis list.

I never really bother with Italian restaurants as most are chains and pretty bog standard. Nuovo on the other hand was absolutely superb. Brilliant small plates in a wonderful setting. Went here with a group of friends! Food is amazing here! We'd never been before so it was a little confusing at the beginning as it's tapas food, but kind of Italian tapas which is new to me! Service was all very quick and staff lovely. It was maybe a little on the expensive for me and what I'd normally pay, so will only be going back for special occasions, but will definitely be back again!

Have been here a few times and the food never disappoints. The week before Christmas 10 of us went a'la carte rather than the set menu and it was all delicious, especially the scallops. Probably the only restaurant in Northampton, I would have the confidence to recommend.

Was very tasty but unfortunately something upset my stomach, probably just me as my girlfriend had no issues and we shared the dishes. It's a bit like Italian Tapas, so small dishes, they advise to order 6 and share which was right for us. The best dish was the beef parcels, yummy. So once you add it all up it's quite expensive.

Very nice restaurant with good food and drink on offer. Visited here on a two night trip to Northampton from my home in Sheffield. Would recommend eating here if you are looking forward to a pleasant dining experience.

We came on a Friday evening, pretty early and we had a lovely time. We had cocktails and they made me one off menu which was great. We had the bread tin and olives to start and it was a decent portion which was nice. We then had 8 plates between two of us (really should have been 6 but we couldn't choose) and all of them were scrumptious! I can't remember all their proper names but we had the deep fried pasta, the parsley pasta, pear and gorgonzola pizza, scallops, the fruity duck, pork belly and cabbage. Our favourites were the duck, pork and deep fried pasta! We had panna cotta and cannoli for dessert and they were delicious. They have a great selection of food and drinks, the service was brilliant and they took care to make everyone feel safe. We were impressed with their efforts like one way walking, wearing gloves etc. Would 100% go back :)

I’ve been many times but each time I go it seems to get less memorable and the quality slips. The most recent time unfortunately was the worst yet. I’m not sure if the scallop dish is being tasted. I’ve never had fishy scallops but this was so fishy it was inedible. I presume it is baked under the grill with the cheese sauce. May be an idea to Pan fry this and then serve with a sauce. The beef short rib was always a favourite it is now very gluey and thick like it’s been reduced too much. The pasta does not taste like it is made on site which is a selling point from the waitress. It’s nice service and surroundings. Good drinks snd desserts. However, the food needs to go back to how it was previously. I don’t like to compare restaurants but they could take some food homemade tips from the Palmichael in Burton Latimer. Northampton is slim pickings for decent restaurants so I hope that the food can be sorted out.

First place that I Loved the range of tapas dishes. Variety of different flavours texture and combinations that worked really well together. I did not need any addition seasonings and just perfectly cooked. Especially scallops and prawns that so many get wrong. Would love to see oysters on their menu. I left feeling warmly filled with a smile🥰😇 Highly recommend the cocktails...delish! The atmosphere warm, inviting and friendly. Must try if you haven’t already!

This place is simply amazing! They have tapas sized portions, and would recommend 2/3 per person. The quality of food is divine and leaves you with a big smile! The only bad thing is that all their options look amazing, so you'd just want more! Its a proper satisfying time out there. I personally would recommend the scallops! Yum. Just yum!

Oh my gosh. The food here is amazing, went here for my birthday dinner. The beef is yum! The prawns are yum! The decor is great and the customer service is very lovely too. I don't have pictures as the lighting was too low but I also couldn't wait to devour the food, they cater for everybody really. Vegetarian and otherwise.

For many years this has been my favourite restaurant. I was lucky enough to go on Valentines Day and it made the night even more special. Incredible food, service and drinks. Amazing food. Highly recommend. Didn't disappoint. The tapas style Italian food is just a genius idea. The specials were lovely and lots of different ingredients and combinations to try. Good value for money and can work out cheaper when going in a larger group. Will definitely go again and booking a table in advance seems to be highly recommended.

Doesn't) like much from the outside but oh my goodness, the food. Really great. Excellent staff and a great range of choices. I was here for a meeting in the evening with about 40 people and the service was flawless. The food was great and the waiters/waitresses were very professional. They catered for vegetarians and carnivores alike and it was all great! Would definitely come here again - would be great for a group or a more intimate evening. The manager knows his stuff and runs a tight ship. Oh, the puddings. Leave the gun, try the cannolis (if you don't understand, watch the godfather) - just wow. And the tiramisu. And the torte. Try everything. It's all really very good!

Excellent in all regards - only slight gripe with the lots of smaller plates style of dining is that you can get slammed with lots of dishes simultaneously and so have to rush them. Would happily retutn but initally order 2 dishes per person, enjoy those and then choose how many more to order.

We booked a table for 2 on Friday. It was our second visit, not very busy, got seated downstairs. There was no candle on the table, despite all other tables had one. Big issue for my wife. When we were making an order we wanted to order starter and mains straight away, but waitress took only starters order first and asked us to call again once we finished eating to order mains. Not an issue but menu was left with us taking too much space on the small table. On our previous visit we ordered everything apart from desert straight away. Also we both noticed some strange smell, like some paint or varnish. Probably some routine maintenance was done recently. Despite all above food looked amazing and was very delicious. We enjoyed our dinner. I do recommend this place if you love tasty, healthy food.

What a night...the rain poured down outside and to be honest second thoughts of staying home were creeping in. However, as usual once we were in the restaurant I was very happy to be there. The waiter who served us was such a great giggle and kept us fed and watered from the moment we arrived. Love the choice and the service. It was very very busy and the atmosphere was just amazing. No worries of not being looked after..would recommend for anyone who wants more choice and something different ..very pleased 😊

They play nice music, waiters are very polite and smart looking, food choice is mainly italian and lots of sea food, I believe the menu is seasonal and it changes. This place can be booked for private party, very foreign feel to it... food was very tasty but some portions appear very small. I would go there again!

This is a great restaurant, the setting and ambience is nice and the service is excellent; the staff are all really friendly and professional. The meals are moderately expensive and borderline on value - if it wasn't for the setting and service levels I would think twice. The produce is good and well cooked, but I have sometimes felt that the portion size against amount paid is not so good. It is a little like tapas (except Italian), and you order say 3 or 4 dishes each. Overall a great experience and I would go back.

Chose to go here before cinema yet ended up spending the whole evening there with my partner because it was just so welcoming and the food was so tasty! The waiter was really attentive and they have a wonderful choice of cocktails hence we ditched the cinema! The choice of dishes is very wide and for someone who likes trying lots of different things it is perfect! The fish dishes were especially tasty and they had some interesting specials. We finished the evening with some tasty homemade ice cream and espresso martini! We are definitely going back, Nuovo combines everything that you look for in a restaurant: good food, good drinks and welcoming and comfortable atmosphere with attentive and friendly service!

Nuovo is an interesting restaurant with and exquisite design. It is built up as a large tent that looks like nothing I have seen before. I have tried a tasting menu there and the food is delicious. Staff and service are great, and the place is great for gatherings of up to 10, but also good for a date night. The architecture is definitely a wow factor. Great experience.

A little Italian gem in Northampton, great location and atmosphere. Lovely decor and natural fruit trees and herbs...The best Italian restaurant where you could eat to your heart' s content. Great things come in small packages and though the plates are small , its like a fiesta to your taste buds.... The waiting staff are so polite and are well versed in explaining the dishes. Wonderful seafood, great pasta, mouth watering desserts... Would recommend for fine dining and a well deserved treat.

What a lovely place so enjoyed, obviously helped by good company. It actually reminded me of Bocca di lupo in Soho. The food was fabulous, well presented with great flavours. We had the scallops, prawns, ravioli and the short rib. All of them were fantastic. Wine choice was OK and the service was also very good. Not bad for the first dinner out since lockdown.

Excellent Italian "small plates" a kind of tapas style dining. The staff were excellent, attentive but not interfering and the food was packed with flavour. 3-4 dishes per person is plenty! But it depends a little on what you order.

It wax our first time at Nuovo and we wee extremely pleased with the level of service and how good the food was. It is an Italian style small plate tapas style restaurant The food is various from pasta to really lovely slow cooked ribs. Start with 4 or 5 plates to share at first then if still hungry ask for the menu back and choose some more. They have no problem with you keep asking questions about the food of choosing more. To finish of try the variety of ice creams to share. The bar has a good stock of drinks and the cocktail menu has something for most people. It's not a cheap place but the service food and atmosphere make it worth the visit at least once.

This is my date place with him indoors and we love it! The guy who owns it greets you warmly.. and it is NOT cheap but you get what you pay for! The chef used to work on Richard bransons private island and it totally shows in the food.. worth a visit every-time but expect to part a fair whack for two people. You won’t regret it though!

Me and some friends went here last night and it is still amazing, there is always some thing new to try and every dish out of the 9 we had were unique and cooked beautifully. The staff as always treat you like a family member and at the end of the meal they suggested a homemade mince pie liquor which was delicious! This really is the best place in town never disappoints.

Service here was spot on. Ambience is nice too although music might be a bit loud for the hard of hearing. We had 6 tapas style dishes including potted crab, aubergine fritters and crispy pork belly. The menu is different and interesting however due to this you might run the risk of having a hit and miss meal. This was the case for us unfortunately, however there's plenty to go back and try out a second time. Bill came to £55 for 2 with 6 dishes and two drinks.

First time eating here, having booked less than an hour beforehand. Not easy to recognise from the exterior as you have to enter via a lit but not bright passageway off the main pedestrian street which you could easly miss. There is a courtyard with table's and chairs plus greenery sofly lit with little string lights and a old vespa nicely painted, nice to sit having a cocktail in this part before entering the main restaurant area. The main area is quite dark with a little bar to the left reasonably busy for 9.15pm quite a few larger groups of around 6-8 persons. We were seated quickly and had a menu thrust at us and asked about drinks. We ordered an Aperol spritzer which was very nice plus a draft beer again very good. We purused the menu and noted it was little Italian plates which we like similar to tapas but larger. A selection of dishes ordered all quite delicous especially the grappa salmon and beets and goats curd, scallops cooked perfectly ( most places overcook them not here though) pork belly hubby said said grea; the tomatoes and fresh pesto with parmesan shavings very nice my only dish not liked was the pasta with shaved fish roe and lemon the lemon overpowered every part of the dish.I must add that I eat gluten-free(gf) and the pasta element was changed to penne from linguini and the breadcrumbs omitted. We ordered water for the table but this never came. The waiter was defensive when told about the pasta dish he went on to say basically it had been amended because of the gf thats why it was different. A change of pasta makes little difference the problem was the lemon overpowered the dish. I also pointed out that the menu was misleading because the beets dish should have had croutons as the dish clearly marked as gf again he stated defensively that the croutons weren't gf thats why they took them off and he would get Stuart to talk with me who is the owner and chef after we had ordered a selection of gelato and sorbets, which were sublime mocha and berries my favorite. Stuart came over and listened and explained the gf and lemon issues we had with a couple of the dishes and very kindly took them off our bill. Overall a nice place with a great choice of dishes lots of cocktails and wines to choose from we will definitely revisit this place

Oh. My. Goodness. I'm damned if I can remember the names of anything I had, but I can honestly say it blew me away. Best meal I've had in Northampton by a country mile. I started with a little cocktail ... a 'something' julep, which was sweet and very alcoholic. I would have had another but at 9 quid and on an empty (for 24 hours) stomach, probably a tad unwise. Having just googled the menu ... I had 3 cicchetti (small plates): Insalata di Gamberoni ... the smoked paprika aioli was delightful and the balsamic gel is pure genius. Fazzoletto ... so wonderfully tangy with a little chilli kick. My favourite dish of the three. Luganica e fagioli ... a curly sausage on a bean cassoulet. That little sausage has fennel fireworks built in to it, which explode in the mouth. The last course was washed down with a glass of primitivo... soft and perfectly dry, but hearty enough to go well with the dish. A tad warmer than I would have liked, but it didn't spoil my enjoyment of it. Very friendly and helpful staff, (my waiter was just as lovely as the food! ... I know I'm not supposed to say that, but...) Three plates and two drinks were £35, so not exactly cheap, but worth every single penny. I'll be back! 😁
